Reviews for Belle de Nuit

Review 1:I really felt at home. Our hosts were very friendly, cheerful and positive people. Roger adviced us about the places to visit and it was a pleasure to share our impressions with him and Lorrie. Besides, Lorrie is an excellent cook, she prepared wonderful /and various/ breakfasts and a delicious dinner.

Review 2:Fa

Review 3:Our hosts, Lori and Roger, were terrific. They provided great advice on where to visit and get the most out of our trip. They are also great chefs! Lori prepared the most wonderful duck breast with an incredible Roquefort salad and a vanilla panna cotta for dessert. Their B and B, and it's setting, in one of France's oldest yet not overrun towns, is a treat. Make a booking and be treated the way you've always dreamed!

Review 4:Having to leave.

Review 5:Everything. The village of Oppede. The house and our room. Roger and Laurie themselves - great sense of humour and very easy going. Wonderfully imaginative breakfasts. They open as a very small restaurant on two nights each week. We had a great meal the first night, and when we saw the menu when we returned the next day, we decided to eat there again - luckily there were two spaces left. The best cooking in Oppede.

Review 6:Fantastic getaway from the hustle and bustle. Roger and Laurie were great hosts, extremely friendly, helpful and geniunely interested in getting to know there guests. Great breakfast in courtyard. Aircon was a major plus

Review 7:The hospitality is genuine with no shortage of ideas, banter or points of view on matters that are frivolous or serious eg what to do with your day. The meals in house are marvellous and there is plenty of room space and welcome feeling to make an excellent base for a few days exploring in the Luberon.

Review 8:Ehm, ehm, let me think.....Nope. Nothing. :-)

Review 9:Lovely couple running the place in a wonderfully quiet village (by Luberon-standards), great breakfast, different everyday - the blueberry pancakes are highly addictive!!

Review 10:NOTHING

Review 11:THE B&B IS LIKE STAYING IN YOUR GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE, BUT ITS CHARM IS OVERWELMING. THE ROOM WAS SO COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN WITH LOTS OF HOT WATER AND A BREEZE COMING IN FROM THE COUNTRY. OUR HOSTS ROGER AND HIS WIFE ARE WONDERFUL WITH A DIFFERENT BREAKFAST EACH DAY. THE TOWN IS WONDERFUL TO EXPLORE AND CLOSE TO LOTS FOR DAY TRIPS...

Review 12:Roger is a native of France and Laurie is originally from Toronto. She is a great cook cook, he worked in the hospitality industry for decades. And they are warm, knowledgeable owner/operators of a charming B&B in a lovely, quiet Petite Luberon village. Who serve wonderful dinners, on request, in a former bakery downstairs. We visited them in 2013, and returned with our best friends in 2014; among other return guests. All thumbs way up!

Review 13:We chose to stay in Oppede-le-Vieux at le Belle de Nuit for the quieter pace of this village and the crowds of the trendy hill towns. It did not disappoint. The room was spacious and looked out to the village. Bonus was an unexpected mini-fridge which helped us with our picnics and storing market fresh foods. Laurie and Roger were warm and personable and shared tips for the area. Appreciated the send off breakfast for our driving day to parts north, as well as the laundromat in Robion on our way out of town. Proximal to spectacular trails to church and castle. We will return. Merci.

Review 14:Oppede le vieux was hard to find as there is another new Oppede. Check in times strict.

Review 15:The village was quaint, the B&B with 4/5 rooms was 18C but with all facilities for comfort. Breakfast was different for each of our three day stay and when it was warm enough it was served in the courtyyard. Laurie and Roger run a small restaurant some evenings as well, but there are two other options within 100m in the tiny village. we tried both.

Review 16:We've had very relaxing days in Opede. Laura and Roger are wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the charme of their house. A nice quiet B&B place serving an excellent breakfeast and superb dinner. Rita & Rudolf

Review 17:We liked it all. The hosts are wonderful. Different breakfast every morning - lovely. Wonderful service and helpness. Second time we have been there and we want to come back again.

Review 18:I wish there had been a communal gathering spot (say the courtyard) for late afternoons when you want to relax a bit but would rather do so outside of the room, possibly communing with the other guests.

Review 19:Roger and Laurie were fantastic hosts. They were very welcoming, had great travel advice for the area. Not only that, but you must get a reservation in their restaurant (only open with enough requests). Laurie is an amazing cook, and we were fortunate to have two meals there during our stay. Location in the beautiful Oppede-le-Vieux was wonderful. Room size was very nice, and breakfasts each morning in the courtyard were lovely.

Review 20:Minor: shower head to have a support so you have free hands

Review 21:This was the first time when we went for a B&B booking. Our experience: Roger and Laurie are great hosts, it feels like visiting family, they have supported us in every mean. Laurie is also a great cook, we eat one night at their restaurant, great food for the money compared to other options in the area. Oppede is a very small village where you can find your peace and calm, you need a car for this location. Reg the places to visit, Roger can provide you with all possible information and tips, great advises.

Review 22:Nothing no problems at all

Review 23:Everything. Location the history and the owners were fantastic best B n B we have stayed in the food was magnifico.

Review 24:Very accommodating for our change in plans. Great help for local area.

Review 25:Great area!!!! Great city and great owners that care of you and ur traveling plans

Review 26:Genuine remote French village. A warm welcome .

Review 27:Front door lock difficult to use.

Review 28:Ruins, beautiful views but most of all the quiet solitude.

Review 29:Great, polite, friendly and helpful hosts. Great place, amazing food.

Review 30:Nothing

Review 31:Excellent facility, comfort, location and wonderful staff!

Review 32:hard to find even with GPS; but you will get there because everyone knows everyone in that area.

Review 33:Very friendly and helpful host. Fresh and delicious breakfast in a period of time instead an exact time. the village self can be a destination. excellent dinner experience if you are grant one.

Review 34:that we couldn't stay longer...

Review 35:The location (the village is very nice), the owners, ( very friendly ) the food specially the breakfast which was different each day was delicious (the pancakes were to die for) and the room very spacious (very comfortable beds)...

Review 36:there is nothing we didn't like

Review 37:We stayed at Belle de Nuit for eight days in April. The average review score of 9.0 is well deserved. Roger and Laurie are great hosts and run a very professional and welcoming B&B. We have many very pleasant memories of our stay there - great breakfast conversations, Laurie's cooking both for breakfast and in the restaurant, Roger's stories and their guidance about best places to visit. It is a place that attracts nice people and we had lots of chats and laughs with fellow guests. Oppede le Vieux is a magical place and our favourite of all the famous hilltop towns in the area. Try it and try Belle de Nuit - you won't be disappointed.

Review 38:It would be good to be able to make a cup of tea in the room.

Review 39:The hosts Roger and Laurie were wonderful. The breakfast provided was a lovely homecooked meal. We also dined at the restaurant at Belle de Nuit and it was a memorable gourmet meal. The location was charming and picturesque, and within close distance to many lovely Provence towns and villages. The room and bathroom facilities were great.

Review 40:No dislikes

Review 41:Our host! Very concerned about all our needs and comfort. Delicious food. Great ideas of things to do and see! The most novel place to stay and so charming an area. Quite, historical, convenient to a lot of great sites. One of those places you want to share with others!

Review 42:The owners were like angels to us. Very professional and warm They provided helpful hints and complete advise to visit the surroundings I think I got two new friends with the owners The food is totally gourmet and the attention superb The installations are clean functional and old style as they are located in a town house probably 400 years all but they were very modern in there facilities

Review 43:getting there, especially the first time when jet-lagged was a challenge.

Review 44:We can only echo comments made by other guests, especially the hospitality of the hosts and their gourmet cooking. Very helpful with ideas for other places to see and things to do. From people who are not usually fond of B and B.s

Review 45:We had to leave

Review 46:Roger and Laurie are excellent hosts, they speak French and English, Oppede is a beautiful, tranquil village. Each breakfast was unique and composed of the freshest fruits and home cooked ingredients. The dinner cooked by Laurie was equal to any we had in France. Roger made daily recommendations on places to see and do. 5 stars

Review 47:Nothing to mention.

Review 48:Laurie and Roger are very helpful providing great suggestions for sightseeing activities, points of interest and restaurant recommendations. The meals at the BnB were excellent incuding both breakfasts and dinners. The room was large and clean.

Review 49:We loved the location and history of this little hilltop village. Roger and Laurie are great hosts, and went well beyond just providing a bed and breakfast. Roger would take out a map and gave us a lot of useful information about our proposed plans, and both Roger and Laurie made some great suggestions of places to visit. Laurie 's cooking is great, breakfasts were excellent, and in 7 days we did not have the same breakfast twice. The one dinner we had was also wonderful...We learned a lot about little things relating to the culture by staying at Belle de Nuit. Loved it.

Review 50:minor niggle, but would have welcomed tea/coffee-making facilities

Review 51:Beautiful village location; owners - Laurie and Roger; evening meal for quality of food and ambience

Review 52:The towels could be updated and I really don't understand the nude portraits through out. That was some what uncomfortable.

Review 53:Wonderful couple who own ur. You felt like you were staying with family! No children there which was actually nice. We love kids, but I don't this it would have been even half as enjoyable because the size and set up is more towards singles or couples. We will be back!

Review 54:wonderful location in a typical Provence village. Roger and Laurie were wonderful hosts, great cooking and wonderful advice about where to go each day and the sights to see. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to see the true Provence.

Review 55:Nothing.

Review 56:Belle de Nuit is located in a beautiful village away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist villages. Ideally located, only minutes from major attractions. Everything we read about Belle was realistic and Laurie and Roger's hospitality was amazing. Don't miss the opportunity to dine in, Laurie's cooking is amazing.!

Review 57:what a lovely Little place. Great room and the owners are really nice and helpful, hope to be back next year.

Review 58:The room was a bit to dark.
