Review 5：We booked on Bookings.com, for a rate much less than their rate card. We were there in September, the hotel definitely wasn't sold out, and we definitely got the WORST room in the entire hotel. If all your rooms aren't 5-star, you can't be considered a 5-star hotel. I would give this hotel 3.5 stars. The only reason they are getting 5 stars is due to the location.

Review 8：Fabulous setting overlooking the bay in the centre of a chic French holiday resort. A very salty pool with steps leading down to beach bar/restaurant and private sun-loungers on the sand below. Friendly and efficient front of house and door staff. Good breakfast out on the deck.

Review 9：The room was to small compared to other years we have stayed an the bathroom although beautifully designed it was an in practical as the taps are hidden away under a shelf and the shower unit although build as a wet room includes soaking the rest of the room. The sink itself is far to big and takes up essential shelf space.

Review 12：We noticed that it was difficult to obtain a chair on the beach. This should be mentioned when a booking is confirmed. In July there was a very bad smell on the beach restaurant level, perhaps a faulty pipe.

Review 32：A number of the fittings in the room i.e. the wardrobes, wallpaper were in disrepair and the bathroom left a lot to be desired - it was small, in relatively bad condition and the toilet was housed in a small room that made it feel like going to an outhouse. We were also a little perturbed that rooms on our floor started to be refurbished during our stay resulting in a lot of noise which was not forewarned.

Review 33：We stayed at IIe Rouse Hotel for five days in early June and generally had a first class experience. If you are looking for a hotel in a quiet town on the French Riviera with beautiful seaside views, a private beach and a good restaurant then you can't go far wrong but know that a lot that makes this hotel beautiful is at face value. Choosing a room with a seaside view is a must. Our hotel room was adequately sized, had a comfortable bed, good wifi, generally good A/C and a lovely balcony allowing you to take in the view. The view and beach is spectacular and it is perfect to lose yourself for a few days - note though that the beach is not private and really all the hotel has is a designated area for a certain amount of sun beds. Unlike other reviews, the service at the poolside bar was always fantastic and the staff were always friendly and had a smile on their faces. We didn't use the spa - there was no need to with the weather as good as it was but we did utilise the gym. This is in a very small space and only has four machines (three cardio, one weights) which some may say is horrendous for a five star hotel, but whenever we went the place was empty and it was more than enough to get a decent work out. The restaurant at the hotel was five star and takes advantage of the fantastic views. I would highly recommend enjoying dinner at the terrace. In all, the services, staff and location of this hotel are fantastic and provide the five star experience - just don't spend too much time in your room otherwise this feeling will wilt like a flower in the riviera sun.

Review 91：Fierce pricing in hotel, eg 7euros for tomato juice at bar, minibar was just silly. We couldnt find a cabernet based wine in the restaurant under 90 euros (to match our lamb) and that is a lot to gamble on an unknown wine. We also had to fight to sit inside rather than squint at low sunshine. For a bill of 250 euros thats not right.

The antidote was the beach restaurant where the wine list was good. The restaurant staff could lighten up a little. We - being old gits - also needed training in some of the appliances in our modern room. We advise you learn use of shower, TV and coffee machine when shown your room.
