Reviews for Hôtel Le Montana & Spa

Review 1:There was not so much variety in what was available for breakfast.

Review 2:Fresh, modern and comfortable room with great views. Perfect location walking distance to the ski lift.

Review 3:The lady at reception was not at all friendly. The bed was exceptionally hard. The breakfast was poor. I thought that for Euro 330 for one night this hotel was absolutely not worth the money - we would not stay there again.

Review 4:The view from our room was fantastic. The interior of the rooms have recently been updated and use nice old looking word on the walls however, it is clear they have just laid new styling over the existing materials rather than creating a "new" interior (for example there were 3 different types of flooring in our room - not a good look).

Review 5:the road noise made it very difficult to sleep especially as the windows needed to be open as it was hot

Review 6:awesome room with all the conveniences; good location

Review 7:The room was so hot. And the bathroom reeked badly of mold/mildew. It could be smelled throughout the room, but was lessened if the sliding door was shut.

Review 8:Quiet! So few places we've been in Europe have truly been quiet. And that was also important because the room was so hot all 4 nights we had to sleep with the patio door wide open. Very peaceful place, welcoming and helpful staff.

Review 9:I felt it was quite expensive to stay there although great location. Breakfast we didn't par take due to the cost also and there were no tea and coffee making facilities and to buy coffee was also very expensive.

Review 10:The view was lovely and the room was as well. There was a lovely pool and spa.

Review 11:An absolutely out of this world experience and not in a good way. Read on if only for entertainment value... Advertised as hotel and spa with no mention of extra cost for the spa. When we asked about the spa we were told we had to book in advance and there was a EUR 10 charge per person per sauna and Hammam. So 60 EUR per day. We disagreed when the bill arrived and they called the police. The owner parked his car in front of ours to block it and told us we couldn't leave. The police took the hotel's side regarding the bill but we did they the owners it was illegal to take hostages...so we did get our car out eventually. The hotel's triple room was too small for 3 adults. When we asked about something bigger we were told by the lady owner at reception that's what we had booked online and she then hung up. At breakfast (17€ pp per day) I asked for another glass of orange juice and was told there was a limit of one glass per person. We had a friend round for coffee and he was not offered a drink even though staff were hanging around doing nothing. When the coffee came they brought no cup and we had to fetch one ourselves. Needless to say the whole experience was somewhat upsetting and we left not quite believe what just happened.

Review 12:The stuff (just the woman, because the man was very friendly) was very unpolite and rude. Not at all a service that you might expect at a 4 star hotel. She was looking at us with a bad look each time we were rising a question, she never asked us anything, if we need anything, or how was our stay. There were big SPIDERS on the terrace, and in the room. It was easy to observe that the terrace haven't been cleaned for a long time. The rooms very very small, very small bathroom. The atmosphere in the hotel was with lot of pressure as no one was talking to us. We were always feeling like bothering the lady with black long hair. For this price, i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 13:The pool (but again, there were spiders there also). An attentive cleaning each day would have solved this.

Review 14:Would have preferred an earlier breakfast time - hotel information stated 7.45 but we were told that breakfast would not start until 8.00 - would have liked 7.30 at the latest, but appreciate that most guests were not hiking.

Review 15:Peace and quiet and a restful evening

Review 16:wifi reception was poor breakfast too expensive hotel is located close to the road, hear some noise

Review 17:the pool area was great. despite a cold and rainy weather, it was nice to swim in a heated pool and also sit in jacuzzi. the room was clean and fairly spacious with a view on the Mont Blanc. bathroom was impressive

Review 18:Not suitable if you are looking for busy night life bear by.

Review 19:Christoph and Jordan are awesome!

Review 20:Convenient clean and great service

Review 21:Nice atmosphere, close to lifts.

Review 22:Nothing

Review 23:Lovely pool in sheltered sun trap. Excellent breakfast.

Review 24:The only thing that was 'inconvenient' was that it had stopped serving lunch and/or dinner. But it was very understandable at the same time as it was at the far end of the season.

Review 25:Just the whole package was great. Owners of the hotel so friendly and lovely and the comfort and the style of the newly renovated room was amazing. Very warm at the same time as modern. They've found the perfect mix between new, stylish without being too minimalistic. The scrambled eggs for breakfast were also delicious! Proper home made and tasty :-). It will definitely be the place I stay again next time I visit.

Review 26:It was the best hotel in Argentier (I know hotels there). Hotel is perfect. So comfortable, clean and beautiful view on mountains. Next time I will choose only this hotel.

Review 27:Lovely room, very comfortable, with amazing shower and jacuzzi bath. Staff were very nice and helpful and let us check out late so we could get a full days skiing in and then shower before travelling home. 2 minute walk to grand Montets lifts and 7 minute drive to chamonix.

Review 28:Awesome spot. The owners are also the hosts. Service was excellent, timely and very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone. We will be staying here again next year.

Review 29:Wireless Lan did hardly work ar all Junior Suite was an ordinary room crowded with furniture Restaurant was not open Erratic functioning TV satellite receiver

Review 30:Jacuzzi in the bathroom Quiet room Breakfast with good cheese offer Friendly personnel

Review 31:Pictures used to describe the rooms are not close to the reality of theroom we got which was old (not refurbished since the 70s, small (underthe roof) not enough space to stand up in a large part of the room) nocurtain to take a shower. For that price (140 eur), we could haveexpected more. Disappointing. Ask for a renovated room.

Review 32:The hotel is located very to the Grands Montets lifts and is very calmand quiet. Very clean as well.

Review 33:There was a clogged drain in the shower, but it was fixed immediately while we were out for dinner.

Review 34:Had a lovely double room 102, it was in the corner of the chalet so it had an additional window in front of the bed facing the mountains, so as soon as you wake up you get a great view. The bed was comfortable queen size bed with a magnificent warm thick blanket. Good wifi internet, friendly stuff, free parking, walking distance from the Le Grand Montes lifts.

Review 39:Very cozy hotel, helpful staff, and the room was good and clean. Short walking distance to good slopes.

Review 40:Super mix of traditional cosiness and modern facilities. All the staff were helpful attentive and friendly.

Review 41:Sauna seemed to be free judging from website but was actually charged (expensive!) Twin room was small

Review 42:Personnel was nice Nice breakfast

Review 43:Maybe just that the pool and jacuzzi are only open for such a short time.

Review 44:-proximity to the slopes -cleanliness of the rooms -attitude of the staff

Review 45:No offer of evening meal so it was necessary to walk into the village for this

Review 46:Very high quality room
