Reviews for Saint Pierre Appart Hotel
Review 1:Only problem we had was there were were stairs in the apartment that our little one wanted to climb all the time!!
Review 2:Beautiful apartment. Great location.
Review 3:Excellent location, friendly and informative staff and a delicious breakfast. Found a car parking space in the square outside the hotel for 2 .2 euros.
Review 4:On Sunday, Monday, AND Tuesday in this region of France it was very difficult to find open resturants in evening. This is not fault of this b&b, but certainly creates difficulties for visitors.
Review 5:Home-like atmosphere. Great location. Wonderful owners.
Review 6:50% of the cost was taken from credit card in advance and then full cost was taken at check out so now having to claim a refund.
Review 7:Great location in centre of old town
Review 8:Only downside is that the hot tub was too expensive to use (€15/person/hour)
Review 9:Fabulous location, really helpful staff, charming room with loads of nice touches and a superb breakfast experience.
Review 10:Helpful friendly staff, parking right outside, comfortable good value accommodation in an attractive attic apartment.Very good location with easy (but uphill) walk to old town. Easy to find when driving there with GPS assistance.
Review 11:Shower wasn't great.
Review 12:The owner was so helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. The location in the town was fantastic. A very quaint and traditional French experience.
Review 13:Only negative was not being able to access our room until 5.30 this meant hanging around for a long time in the street, not great after a long drive. Reception time needs to be earlier.
Review 14:Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast Ideal location for Chartres. Very close to restaurants and Cathedral but quiet at night.
Review 15:The wifi did not work in the room, but did work well in the dining/breakfast area.
Review 16:The breakfast was excellent for two cyclists! The location is only minutes away from the Cathedral, and also close to shops. The room we had overlooked the patio, where our bikes were, so it was all quite cosy. We could also use the kitchen facilities to prepare a basic meal, and to store a few things in the fridge.
Review 17:La Villa Saint Pierre was absolutely perfect - very spacious accommodations, friendly hosts, and incredible breakfasts. The location was ideal for touring Chartres. We'll definitely go back.
Review 18:Difficulty parking upon arrival, but once you arrive, the host shows you how to find parking.
Review 19:Nice, comfy small hotel within easy walk of all the sights in Chartres. Great travel advice from the host. Our room was small but quite stylish, and the large whirlpool tub was a bonus!
Review 20:We were only there for one night at the end of our holiday and our hosts couldn't have been more helpful or thoughtful. Our host prepared our breakfast very early for us as we had to leave to continue on our homeward journey. Great place to stay in a great location. Thank you Jan.
Review 21:Jan and Luelle (sp?) were very helpful and friendly. We had a very short time in Chartres and Jan gave us the quick rundown on what and where to eat, see and how to get there. We werent able to share breakfast, but it looked great. Our room was an apt a block away from the main bldg perfectly located on the canal facing a luminiere on the bridge. Extra bed was perfect for us. All in all, a great last nite before the chaos of Paris. Make Chartres a stop on your trip! The lit up monuments is a real treat for anyone to see! David and Kim
Review 22:The check in time is inconvenient, at 17h00, the walls are thin so you hear the noises when other guest open and close doors. We book our rooms for WiFi and we had NO wifi in the rooms so I had to do office work in dining room.
Review 23:Location and comfort of the bed
Review 24:Access is somewhat complicated since the access to the apt is in the opposite side of the building. No wi-fi reach.
Review 25:Great apartment in the heart of town. Spacious and fully equipped, with kitchen and washer (no dryer).
Review 26:Beautiful restoration retaining original features with contemporary design. Fabulous location, generous breakfast included, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Comfortable and cozy on a crisp night in Chartres.
Review 27:The light screening in the downstairs room was not great and a more efficient fan in the bathroom would have improved our experience.
Review 28:We loved the family apartment tucked away off the street with it's medieval upstairs and more contemporary downstairs. Whilst only there for one all too brief night we agreed we must return! A lovely breakfast with fresh bread and good coffee set us on our way the next morning. Some excellent restaurants nearby and the city was a memorable discovery!
Review 29:Our first visit to Chartres, and it took nearly an hour to find the property. A detailed street map would have been a great advantage.
Review 30:The location was excellent for the Old town, quiet and a very comfortable bed.
Review 31:The wifi only works in the common area.
Review 32:The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The room is very nicely decorated and nicely set. If you come during summer you will enjoy the terrasse. The breakfast is so good and fresh. The location is very good as well. It s part of the old town promenade itenerary.
Review 33:This B&B is ideally located for a visit to the old town of Chartresand to the Cathedral. If you arrive before 7 pm, you must pay 1 euro topark; otherwise it is free till 8 the next morning. Breakfast is fulsomeand tasty.
Review 34:Hotel did not accept charge cards.
Review 35:Beautiful facility with all the conveniences of home. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable and clean.
Review 36:Our villa was delightful, comfortable and well equipped. It was a perfect starting place to enjoy the old town of Chartres. Our breakfast basket was a wonderful start to the day.
Review 37:No English TV channels. Mind you thats not much to miss! Sky News would have been nice.
Review 38:Location, boutique nature, very old but modernised well. Small but cute. Good bedrooms, nicely equipped.
Review 39:some people will find that being at the bottom of the hill is a problem and the advert doesn't make this clear. Obviously the map would indicate that, but it's very generalised. Phone signal a bit lacking!
Review 40:utterly quiet room at back of house; pleasant staff; good breakfast; patio access; high quality bedding and cleanliness
Review 41:The hotel was more like being in a house. In fact it was the house of the owners who also lived there. The room (and house) had great olde world atmosphere and situated in an old part of Chartres. The breakfast was really good too.
Review 42:Wi fi was only in the main building not in the building we were in.
Review 43:Lovely old building nicely decorated and good location. Friendly staff and a fair price for the location.
Review 44:don't have a proper bathroom. Don't have a shower, you have a bath o jacuzzi beside you bed without curtains. the WC is in a cupboard. No wifi in the room
Review 45:very near the city centre, very quiet, in front of one of a church which gets beautifully illuminated at night
Review 46:You will get lots of exercise up and down the hillside if you stay here. Hot tub was out of order which was disappointing.
Review 47:Nice room with interesting architecture and good breakfast. They let us use a common kitchen to cook dinner which was nice. The shower is Very fancy!
Review 48:Bit noisy when the local bar was shutting for the night at 2am....then again we'd been in there an hour earlier!!
Review 49:Great family run Guest House. Very friendly & helpful, superb breakfast included in price, Cereal, fruit, fresh bread and pastries. Individual rooms with personal touches, would definitely return.
Review 50:Sat nav tried to take us in thru inaccessible area, auto bollards in road, residents only. Parking difficult.
Review 51:Quirky, good breakfast, nice style in rooms, spacious rooms. The location is great, Chartres is a lovely place. Would have liked longer there.
Review 52:We struggled with the coffee maker. The extra bed made the living room abit cramped.
Review 53:we liked being self contained, it was a pleasant and quiet environment - well designed and quite tastefully decorated. We felt very relaxed and happy.
Review 54:Nothing specific, except that parking nearby is a bit complicated, but that is beyond the owners' control
Review 55:Very welcoming hosts Our family room arrangement in a separate building in a side street was very relaxing and quite convenient Charming and intimate property with character
Review 56:This hotel is just bursting with character. We were situated around the back of the property which had a lovely kitchen, living area and 2 bedrooms, one of which was located up stairs. Breakfast was brought to us at a time that suited us. Shame we couldn't stay longer but it was only an en route stop to the south. Wish we could have explored the area more.
Review 57:Wifi did not work in our room, which was at the back. Could only use wifi in the breakfast/sitting area.
Review 58:Lovely breakfast, great room and spa shower. Outdoor sitting area, indoor jacuzzi.
Review 59:The Villa is located across the street from the Gothic church, St. Pierre, a Chartres landmark in addition to the cathedral. St. Pierre is lit in the evening during the summer so that you can see the terrific stained glass windows really well, and there are other medieval images projected on the outside walls of the church. It looks like the church has been turned inside out and is very beautiful.
Review 60:Only itch was parking on the square outside - public, narrow slots, paid, crowded.
Review 61:Charming, quirky house with lovely rooms, nooks and corners, with a quiet, pleasant patio. Total calm, nice and relaxed hosts, homely atmosphere, stylish and substantial breakfast. Welcome overnight stop on our journey across France.
Review 62:Let the owner know ahead of time if you want to use the hot tub. It's not kept hot continuously as most Americans are used to.
Review 63:The owners were helpful and spoke English quite well. The room was quite pleasant and we liked the little patio area right outside our door. Breakfast was very good. The location to Chartres cathedral was good - easy walking distance.
Review 64:Bit cold inside when we arrived...but turned heaters on and all good!
Review 65:The private location, nice and quiet but so close to town centre.
Review 66:Location and uniqueness of property in a medieval town.
Review 67:No dedicated parking
Review 68:Lovely accommodation, helpful owners, great location

Review 79:i liked the historic ambience
Review 80:The room was perfect! Much better than expected for a B&B. The best part was the shower! The bed was really confortable.
Review 81:Not the easiest place to find and parking difficult. A better street map of the area is needed.
Review 82:Location was great. The room was clean and spacious with a very nice bathroom.
Review 83:Friendly staff nice place with kitchen and washing drying machine close to everything in the center
Review 84:Friendly family, comfortable room, very clean, nice view.

Review 99:All.
Review 100:Nothing substantial
Review 101:Location in old town next to church, friendly & helpful staff, clean room, very good breakfast.
Review 102:Very comfortable room and a killer breakfast.
Review 103:There is a parking problem and because it was so hot the duvet was a tog to heavy for me
Review 104:Good breakfast friendly staff
Review 105:Nothing! Maybe a little more space in the bedroom
Review 106:Very old French building but all mod cons. Especially the outside patio area adjacent to our room
Review 107:Rooms were small. Nowhere to put any luggage. Odd use of space - large jacuzzi tub in our room took up any space that would have been much better used. It was very uncomfortable that the family who lives there was not allowed to enjoy their own house. Made us feel like we were intruding. Not relaxing.
Review 108:Chartres is beautiful. The breakfast was tasty. Great fresh croissants and french bread from the local bakery. Patio was nice.
Review 109:We could hear noise from the room next door, although thankfully they were a pretty quiet family
Review 110:Centrally located in the historic centre, quiet square with a view over a beautiful church
Review 111:Hope that credit cards will soon be accepted.
Review 112:Friendly and run by family. Good recommendation on a restaurant on Sunday night. Charming rooms in a completely restored older structure. Great location for walking in Chartres.
Review 113:Fantastic hosts - helpful, could speak good English - fresh, tasty breakfast with choices Location excellent in centre of old town opposite church Parking right outside
Review 114:the property is far to be like it has been presented by booking the room cannot be"superior" - no promissed view to st.peter. parking problems the owner is very unpleasent person. when i told him what the promissed room is not like i hoped to see - he became very nervous and toldme to leave to another hotel.(but his wife is very polite and helpfull) definetly not deserve 8.9
Review 115:breakfast
Review 116:non wifi
Review 117:quitness, breakfast, position just in front of Saint Pierre Cathedral, kindness of the owner, spa. PERFECT STOP for a business man that want to relax after an hard day travelling. Surprise with a nice spa. Right in the center of Chartres, really easy to reach with the car and big public parking in front of the hotel
Review 118:They had taken great effort to make the rooms feel comfortable, attractive and homely. The jacuzzi bath with coloured lights was a great distraction for the kids!! The breakfast was delicious.
Review 119:Quite expensive for a chambre d'hotes but that's Chartres, I guess. Be aware that jacuzzi costs 15 euros per person for one hour - surely fairer to have a flat rate?
Review 120:Friendly and helpful hosts and largish comfortable room. Good continental breakfast. Well situated in calm square near old town. Would recommend.
