Reviews for Hotel D'haussonville
Review 1:The heat distribution among the whole suite was not proper , it was dependent only on the airconditioner heater in the bed room Price is over rated
Review 2:Very friendly and sweet staff , location excellent , clean and cuddly like a home
Review 3:We knew Hotel d'Haussonville was a great place to stay in the city center and within walking distance of most everything. What went way beyond our expectations was the personal service and kindness of Basile! Let me explain. We were cooking dinner for our son and teammates while he was at practice at his apartment during our stay at the d'Haussonville. We could not open his door after coming back from laundry and went back to our hotel and Basile called many locksmiths until he got one to commit and help us as he was about to leave his shift. Three hours later he was still there communicating for us until the job was done. Unbelievable kindness from Basile and many thanks from our family.
Review 4:The size of the bath is a joke - remove it and fit a walk in shower and receptionist came across as a bit conceited.
Review 5:Super building - very comfortable room - central location.
Review 6:So enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere created in this beautiful, very old property. Staff provide a professional but personal approach to looking after guests. The location is ideal for walking to major attractions, such as Place Stanislas plus many restaurants and cafes are nearby.
Review 7:A perfect base from which to explore Nancy. Friendly, modern comforts, yet the place retains its historical character. Love the worn, stone steps. First class breakfast.
Review 8:Had to wait a long time for anyone to answer the main door bell to be let in -it was raining hard! Room was too warm and opening windows meant traffic noise in the morning. Wi-fi was patchy to say the least.
Review 9:Architecture, size of room ,size of bathroom, separate wc, comfort of bed .
Review 10:We arrived earlier than the official check in time and were left standing outside in the rain for 10 minutes as the one staff on duty was cleaning rooms. Bath very badly fitted so a shower caused a flood every time. Too expensive.
Review 11:The location, the building, very helpful staff.
Review 12:The street noise was sometimes bother some in the morning.
Review 13:Wonderful location, convenient walk to the main tourist sites. The hotel offered elegant rooms and sumptuous baths in an historic setting.
Review 14:This hotel is lovely starting from the entrance courtyard and going up the spiral staircase. Our room was at the very top. We loved the feel of centuries gone by and the excellent location - close to the history museum and Roman port! Just a five minute walk from the World Heritage site of Stanislas Square.
Review 15:60 steps to our second floor room and no lift, but this is an ancient building! breakfast not taken as 15 Euros seemed excessive tea bags, instant coffee, bottled water etc in room was chargeable
Review 16:beautiful old building elegant interior furnishings close to town centre & fine arts museum friendly welcome surprisingly quiet for central location and old building secure off-road parking (200 metres away)
Review 17:It is close from Place Stanislas but from Nancy station, I strongly recommend take taxi. It is difficult to bring up heavy suitcases by staircase.
Review 18:The building is historical property highlighted by city tours. The breakfast was impressive. The hotel staffs expressed graceful hospitality.
Review 19:No immediate parking No lift - so not suitable for families with lots of luggage No 24/7 reception Dangerous beds! Rude manager The hotel did not provide cots for our 3yo twins, claiming that we didn't notify them about the children (we did, via booking.com). They insisted that all their visitors' children sleep on the hotel's sofa beds. In the night, one of our twins hit her head on the exposed metal part of the sofa bed. The injury was so bad that the whole bed was covered with blood. We had to call the ambulance ourselves, as there was no 24/7 receptionist. The ambulance took her to the nearby hospital, where the doctor diagnosed a suspected broken nose. In the morning, the manager not only did not apologise or offer us a free night (as we had no sleep): she refused to discuss the incident at all, claiming that she did not speak English (her badge said she did).
Review 20:Good location Beautiful building
Review 21:The only negative thing that might be is you need to open weindow in summer to sleep and thus bugs and annoying sound from out side. But, this hotel is experience by it self
Review 22:Best location, perfect design and spectacler hosting. Meeks you feel home. You must visit and better to sleep there if you are visiting Nancy
Review 23:The only gripe I had was the shower in Khartoum flooding the bathroom floor due to a design defect. Glued wood will not solve the problem! This required a fair bit of mopping up afterwards.
Review 24:Fantastic building and location, full of history and absolutely charming. Comfortable rooms and very knowledgable and helpful staff.
Review 25:First of all, when we arrived we spent 15 minutes trying to find somebody at the reception. Furthermore, I find the price exuberant for the quality of the room provided (suite is too big a word for two narrow spaces).
Review 26:Good, clean hotel in nice location. Breakfast is okay.
Review 27:Historic setting and building. Spacious and comfortable
Review 28:16th century mansion well worth the price. Loved the outdoor stone staircase leading to my second story room.

Review 58:16th Century Staff Location Quirky rooms
Review 59:Breakfast very expensive
Review 60:Excellent location, lovely rooms in 16th hotel.
Review 61:Gorgeous, romantic hideaway, perfectly situated.
Review 62:No lift but no problem for us. Some details (doors and panels) look quite worn. In our room showering left a lot of water on the floor.
Review 63:Charming historic style. Wonderful service and friendly staff. Nice and small and quiet.
Review 64:The building is amazing as well as location. The room is very comfortable. The hotel manager had the tasteful attention of sending us a bottle of champagne for our wedding anniversary.
Review 65:It was difficult for us to find the hotel, as it is on a small side street and does not have a large sign. The parking area is quite far from the hotel, so make sure to park on the street in front to drop off your bags.
Review 66:Beautiful historic hotel. It felt like we were staying in a renaissance era castle. The breakfast was very good, our family suite was quite large and comfortable, and the staff went out their way to help us. It was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in
Review 67:No restaurant (understood and explained in advance) but it would be nice to be able to have an aperitif in the verry stylish sitting room
Review 68:Beautiful old building very nicely converted to a hotel; very stylish. In very convenient part of town. Recommendation to excellent restaurant nearby.
Review 69:The bathroom was quite small but fitting modern living into such an old building must have inevitable compromises.
Review 70:Stunning historic building in the heart of the old town, decor is quite traditional but pleasant and very friendly and helpful staff who on our departure day let us keep the use of our room until 12.00 so we could spend a relaxing morning exploring Nancy rather than rushing to pack our cases and check out.
Review 71:Street noise. We always travel with ear plugs so not a problem for us.
Review 72:Immaculate furnishings, very comfy bed and pillows.Breakfast good but could have been better.Staff superb.Location excellent.
