Reviews for Hôtel du Nord et de L'Europe
Review 1:Terrible looking entrance, hallways and stairs with lots of junk, constrution materials, broken furniture, even toilets. Not acceptable! No elevators good to know for you with heavy luggage.
Review 2:Great location right in the center, big rooms and confortable beds
Review 3:Hôtel du Nord needs some serious improvements to be good value for money. Currently (July 2015), it is closer to a nice hostel rather than to a hotel (but it charges as a hotel). Reception is not 24-hours, it's closed at nights and even when it is open sometimes you'll find no one (having to go to the restaurant downstairs where the receptionists usually go). In the absence of receptionists, security is a concern because during day and night the main door of the hotel and the first-floor door (leading to corridors and rooms) were always open. The air conditioner never worked during the nights, which was very annoying considering the warm weather (it worked during the days, but every night is was reported as "damaged"). During housekeeping, the corridors and the entrance in front of reception became extremelly messy, with sheets and bags everywhere. WiFi connection was sometimes weak.
Review 4:The location of the hotel is great, in the centre of Corte and close to everything (including trekking and hiking trails, rivers, and historical areas). The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. The staff is very nice, helpfull and knowledgeable about touristic activities in the island.
Review 5:Arriving by car is a bit tricky. You have to unpack the car on a very busy corner and then find the garage. However, the staff was very helpful in making this happen.
Review 6:The view from our room was splendid. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast on our balcony overlooking the sea. The woman at the front desk was welcoming and delightful.
Review 7:Large comfortable room great young guy in reception friendly and helpfull and spoke excellent English Excellent buffet breakfast and gave late checkout no problem
Review 8:It was raining when we arrived and there was no place to stop in front of the hotel. It would have been good to have been given the parking location ahead of time. €1 overnight at an indoor public parking lot about 5 minutes away.
Review 9:Central location on Corsica.
Review 10:very poor exterior appearance. Hotel part of an appartment block with noisy neighbours, disco near by. Shower had no wall bracket and rooms very basic.
Review 11:helpfull staff. Clean bed linen and good location in centre of town
Review 12:The breakfast was kind of poor.
Review 13:The room was really nice. The position of the hotel is excellent.
Review 14:Good location, helpful staff, very large rooms.

Review 22:Old building, not nice smell. Hotel is situated in the central street. A/C is VERY old: water was dropping down the bed all night long(((
Review 23:Good for staying for one night. WiFi is good
Review 24:A 4-person room is a double room with a sofa bed - this was not good when 4 adults are trying to share the room. Wi-fi did not reach the end rooms.
Review 25:Nice hotel right in the centre of Corte. Very good breakfast. Good bathroom and comfy queen double bed. Staff speak good English.
Review 26:The breakfast room was very unpleasent and the choise at the buffet very limited. The jars with jam were almost empty and with old dry jam on the inside. The Internet was only funktioning in the reception area and was falling out frequently. We were kept awake intill 3 am due to music from a nearby diskotek.
Review 27:The location was perfect for us.
Review 28:Very often there was no-one stationed at reception. I found it challenging to work the wi-fi because instructions were in French. No-one to help me. The stairs were dark before eventually auto light came on. Exterior run down. If you needed help you had to go to a bar downstairs then you might have to wait quite a while.
Review 29:It was quite central and the rooms were large
Review 30:The Hotel du Nord is a bit daggy but is very comfortable, has a nice character and heaps of space in the rooms as well as shared space. It is handy to be able to grab a meal just outside the hotel, anywhere along the main drag. Storage of our bikes (and other people's bikes) was not a problem. The staff are relaxed and helpful.
Review 31:If no staff on the resistration desk, please go to the bar under stairs.
Review 32:A small local hotel, but equipments are well renewaled.
Review 33:The hotel is on the main street, so very convenient. It is the oldest hotel and so has history.
Review 34:Bed was not comfortable
Review 35:Good location in city center, friendly staff, clean rooms.
