Reviews for Vanina Park
Review 1:quite far to centre very small bathroom uncomfortable ceraky bed
Review 2:Clean rooms Kitchen in room, laundry and gym in hotel Supermarket and railway station View from room
Review 3:- Reception isn't working at Saturday; - room was not clean; - there was really bad smell in the room.. - shower was really tinny; - very bad price/performance; - etc.
Review 4:Washroom extremely small with inconvenient shower. Would have appreciated a mirror outside washroom.
Review 5:Good location, parking available. Easy to walk to the city centre.
Review 6:Rooms were small, the bathroom extremely small. Kitchen appliances were a bit shabby, so we decided not to cook anything, besides making tea and coffee. During a 4 day stay we only had one change of towels. Had to ask for toiletpaper at the reception twice. The area isn't very great, so if you don't have a car on hand, I would advice a different place to stay at. The opening times of the reception were a bit of a mystery as well, sometimes they were open, sometimes closed. Staff didn't really speak any other language besides French.
Review 7:The room offered us a place to sleep and store our suitcases. There was a tiny balcony, but it didn't have any furniture on it.
Review 8:extremely small bathroom, they charged my credit card on the day of our arrival, they coulnd't even wait a few more hours for us to actually arrive, bad wifi signal
Review 9:AC, small kitchen, parking
Review 10:The room is quite hot, even with air condition. The bathroom is very small. The quality of the equipment is low.
Review 11:Nice place, nice people, WI-fi, detail description how to get there
Review 12:Incredibly small bathroom - almost like on a plane. Bathroom sink is ridiculous.
Review 13:Location was good for someone with a car. Lots of free parking. Kitchen facilities were useful. Table in room. Good price.
Review 14:When we arrived there was no electricity. We were told it would be back on soon and it was within an hour. When we went to take a shower an hour later there was no hot water. We told reception and they said it was due to the the earlier electricity outage and promised there would be hot water in the morning. Now I know French water tanks do not take very long at all to get some warmth into them, but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Come next morning still no hot water. Really not happy, but was not able to complain as reception was not open by the time we left. They basically lied to us. Clearly the hot water system in our room was not working.
Review 15:Decent accommodation for the price, but no hot water during our stay.
Review 16:didn't see any staff, we didn't have a problem at all but if we did?
Review 17:easy, cheap, no check in / out restrictions. comfortable, everything you need. overall perfect as we were biking through and just needed a rest up, bite to eat in town, shower and off early.
Review 18:- Big block some way out of the city centre - WiFi did not work (extender was not configured properly)
Review 19:+ Equipped kitchenette + Key exchange was easy even though no staff were present
Review 20:Incorect after hours code given to access key to the apartment. WIFI code given had expired. Laundry hours nappropriate. Closed when we were told it would be open. Overpriced. 50 euros a night would have been about right.
Review 21:Bed and heating were good.
Review 22:Wi-Fi signal very weak. Bed marginal.
Review 23:More of a up-market student hostel than a hotel. Reception closes at 18:00. Alright for one night if traveling through Corte.
Review 24:Like most B & B's in Europe, no staff around. Bit out of town.
Review 25:Average facilities. Room small. Never had contact with any staff, except when leaving key on departure. About 4 blocks from train station.
Review 26:I was able to smell cigarette smoke from the other tenants of the building. You need transportation to get to this hotel and to get to the historic town.
Review 27:Quiet, clean room with kitchenette, free wi fi.
Review 28:WIFI (Connects, doesnt work), Squeaky bed, the view, the cleanliness of floor and surfaces.
Review 29:kitchen, fridge, room was fairly modern, staff very friendly, ample parking
Review 30:The bathroom was extremely small, like those you find in a ship's cabin.
Review 31:Located 5 min. away from the railway station of Corti, this hotel is in fact a student residence. In addition to the room, it offers a kitchenette, which is useful to prepare some sandwich or keeping some food in the fridge.
Review 32:very basic for the money. The burnt out car in the parking lot was not a good sign. This should be viewed as a dorm rather than a hotel. We thought it was far too expensive for what it was.
Review 33:Kitchenette was pretty well stocked with necessary items.
Review 34:Poor Wi-Fi, reception didn't work after 6 pm (rather than it was shown it works till 8). It looks like a hall of residence rather than a hotel
Review 35:Location is good (10 mins walk to city center, 5 mins to railway station and supermarket Casino). Swallows nests with chicks gave us an opportunity to learn more about these birds and made my son happy
Review 36:A bit difficult to find (is not on the "main" side of the river). We ran out of toilet paper :) and there was no one in reception because of a weekend & public holiday.
Review 37:The building is a students dormitory (with a rather interesting architecture) which was empty in July. Quiet area.
Review 38:we did not have a wifi password (staff was not there when we arrived and it was not in the envelope)
Review 39:all fine
Review 40:A little far from town.. V good if with a car to explore.
Review 41:Comfortable and good value.
Review 42:Breakfast could be better. Bigger croissants required.
Review 43:Good Facilities and location.
Review 44:Felt like a tower block - very basic In a not very nice area, flats nearby where not nice This is not a hotel
Review 45:The balcony as it was hot
Review 46:Rather dirty
Review 47:Economic
Review 48:Payment only by credit card. Due to all bank fees the hotel was 10% more expensive. Incredibly small bathroom
Review 49:very basic a/c was not sufficient prefabricated bathroom, very small
Review 50:apt was clean and well maintained nice caretaker
Review 51:Toilet / shower area a bit small.
Review 52:Quiet location.
Review 53:Very small bathroom
Review 54:Small kitchenette with basic utensils, spacious room
Review 55:the elevator was out of order. no wifi on arrival. poor wifi the other days.
Review 56:location close to the university.
Review 57:wi-fi did not reach the rooms and the staff didn't understand basic english
Review 58:It was good. Close walk to the city and good base for trecking.
Review 59:Not easy to find and access to the building wasn't great.
Review 60:Good value, more spacious than other similar residences
Review 61:Climatisation inefficace Wifi non fonctionnel Lit bruyant
Review 62:Salle de sport
Review 63:Essentially 1-2 person appartement with one sleeping room. Plastic rubbish sanitary. Shower accessible only via sleeping room. Shabby neighborhood.
Review 64:Not too expensive. Surrounding exceedingly beautiful.
Review 65:The stove didn't work satisfactorily. The café for breakfast was closed on Sunday. If you are wheeling a suitcase, be prepared to carry it over gravelled surfaces as the road to the hotel is unsealed.
Review 66:This place is geared up for students and serves its purpose well. It was clean, quiet and comfortable.
Review 67:Wifi signal poor so access was intermittent.
Review 68:Close to supermarket. Equipped well enough to cook some basic meals. Great location for hiking in the area.
Review 69:There was no equipment or detergent for washing up.
Review 70:The apartment was in a great location for walking into the town centre. There was a fully equipped kitchen and the apartment was a good size. .
Review 71:password for wifi only available during office hours of the reception -- if you arrive during the weekend, ring the number given on your arrival document to be retrived from the key box --- a lady will come who speaks little English, but can open the office even in the evening to generate the wifi-code
Review 72:studio was nice, bit simple, with really tiny bathroom (hardly 1,5 sqm, it is a prefabricated bathroom unit :), if you weigh more than 200 pounds, this is not your place --- lots of storage for your bags, very basic kitchenette
Review 73:Small drink glasses. Small shower. No furniture on balkony. Far from oldtown centre (car needed). Reception closed early on Saturday. Price/ quality rather expensive in terms of comfort and location.
Review 74:Housekeeper helps out fast in case of problems. Access to room wellorganised when reception is closed with access code to documentation andkey. Close to entrance road to Restonica valley (by car). Beds madeagain during the day.
Review 75:Unhelpful staff when they were there but more often that not no one was in attendance. Reception told me about breakfast being available but did not tell me it was closed on Sundays! This was NOT good value for money
Review 76:The fact that it was an apartment and had a small balcony.
Review 77:Car Park and steps need resurfacing. Otherwise excellent.
Review 78:Very impressed with the Vanina Park. Very nice building, lovely room, well equipped, clean and well presented. Superb view of the town and mountains from our balcony. Helpful staff.
Review 79:No streetmap / directions. It was difficult to find premises, by foot with luggage, from rail station - locals directed us long way around >2km - (we found shortcut to walk behind shoppingmail - 500m )
Review 80:Good, clean, value for money. Nearby Local tourist train, gave access to tourist areas.
Review 81:Internet access only in open central space
Review 82:Reminded me to the university campus I lived for few years long ago. But Vanina Park is much better equipped. 15 minutes walk to Cortè city centre & citadel.
Review 83:No tea towels or washing detergent provided in a studio apartment. Poor driveway even for walking into the units. Wifi only available in foyer and only 30mins free.
Review 84:Good location for travelling by train. Not far from the old town and supermarket close by.
Review 85:wi-fi only at public places that close very early. the rest of the day one has to surf out door. reception hours are inconvenient for those how look for a room in the afternoon or on weekends/
Review 86:well equipped kitchenette.
Review 87:Bit of a souless block of apartments.
Review 88:Good value, if somewhat basic accommodation. It was clean & comfortable and we even had a tiny balcony. It proved a perfect base for our 3 nights in Corte. Very close to train station and about a 10 min. walk into the town.
Review 89:no one in reception on arrival although caretaker soon appeared when phoned
Review 90:well equipped apartment, very nice view from balcony, 15 minutes walk from town centre, easy parking
Review 91:Wifi is on request and one needs to renew it every 48h so there may be some problems on public holidays or sundays to get new one 'cause reception is closed.
Review 92:Free wi-fi at public area. Staff friendly and ready to help. Aparts are well equiped. Our room was pretty good sound-isolated (at least during low-season) - no sound from other rooms. Hotel is not on the road so no car-noise, only birds songs. Shoping center is close enought.
Review 93:Great location for train station and good location for historic part ofthe city. Clean room with elevator access. Mini-kitchen in room andclose proximity to super market meant good ability to prepare your ownfood and save money on cost of restaurants. Location on booking.com mapis wrong. It is not as far out as shown. Actually, a better way to getto the hotel than the roads shown on the map is through the parking lotin the rear. That cuts walking distance to train station by at least75%. Coming out of the train station, you are at a roundabout. Go to theleft and in less than 100 feet is another roundabout with a Casinosupermarket. Continue on the sidewalk that borders the Casino parkinglot until it ends, then cross the road diagonally to a paved entrancedrive. There is almost immediately a small modernistic church on yourleft. Continue past the church about 30 yards and you get to the VaninaPark parking lot. Go up the steps in the center of the parking lot tothe reception. The reception, like the parking lot for Vanina Park is onthe back side of the hotel, more convenient to enter from that directionthan from the street shown on the map.
Review 94:No WiFi in the room - only in the courtyard. Courtyard was open to the outside air, and thus to rain. Elevator worked, but the elevator button didn't always work. Probably the smallest bathroom I have *ever* seen in a hotel—smaller even than 2-star hotels in Rome!! It was one of those "pod"-style bathrooms, very clean but you could easily, uh, multitask if you wanted to.
Review 95:Good price for a room with kitchenette and air conditioning. The place was very clean and equipped with modern furnishings (probably Ikea). Location was not central, but was walking distance to the city center (~10–15 min) and close to a big supermarket. Bed didn't look comfortable, but it was actually very comfortable!
Review 96:Extremely small washbasins in bathroom and toilet. Cutlery was made of tin (hard to use it and not to twist it), and no other knives were available. If you want to change bed sheets or towels during your stay, you have to pay extra. Nobody will clean your apartment except you (including garbage). There were no dining table (nor place for it), only 2 desks which were not really built for dining purposes.
Review 97:Big food store Casino nearby. Possibility to wash and dry your laundry in laundry room for 2-3 eur. Big parking in front of the building. Wi-fi is available and for free (although you have to ask at the reception for code), but only at the hotel entry... Good location for exploring Corsica and travel around the island.
Review 98:The tower block felt a bit isolated and empty and the area directly around it seemed bleak but once inside the apartment it was fine. The cooking facilities are very basic.
Review 99:The apartment was large, clean, basic and comfortable and about 15 mins walk to the old town of Corte. In is a good place to stay for a couple of nights to see Corte and the area.
Review 100:Very difficult to find..the map marking is wrong.. It's no hotel.. rather "not rented college-apartments"? Elevator did not work.. Far from the city center (need a car)
Review 101:Clean, Good bed, small kitchen and free parking
Review 102:Elevators were out of order so we had to carry our luggage up threestairs. The air conditioning did not work either.
Review 103:The apartment was spacious and had a nice view.
Review 104:The air-con in our room seemed to have a problem getting down to temp,we were told by the reception that there was a problem with the system.
Review 105:Although we arrived on a Sunday outside reception hours we were easilyable to find someone to sort our rooms.
Review 106:It is quite basic and the building itself is not particularlyattractive.
Review 107:It is a clean and affordable place to stay. It is only about a 10 minutewalk to the Old Town and it is easy to find.
Review 108:situated in a commercial area (approx 15 min walking distance to historic part of Corte), which did not help to create a "holiday feeling" bathroom clean but quite small
Review 109:clean, modern and practical small appartment in a student's residence
Review 110:room is very small.. Could be a good idea to provide more personal soap and dishwashing detergent. There is no WIFI available in the room and only on an hour basis in the cafateria
Review 111:location abd parking space
Review 112:Very small rooms and very tiny bath room. Price was much to high for what you got. Mattresses o fthe beds were not very comfortable.
Review 113:It was nearby the center of Corte and good starting point for trekking tours. Rooms were quite proper.
Review 114:My bed was unmade for the last 3 days of my trip and bin not emptiedin bathroom.
Review 115:Location was good, central for the island and close to restonicavelley.staff were helpful and polite.
Review 116:Hard to find, felt a bit unsafe walking there after dark. Bed v hard. Not as nice as picture. Poor wifi can't use on more than one device
Review 117:View
Review 118:The location is good, not a little hard to find in residence
Review 119:A studio very comfortable to stay, feel freely. Friendly stuff
Review 120:Bed was very uncomfortable.
Review 121:Kitchenette.Near Train station. Plenty of space.
Review 122:Staff very helpful and flexible. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Review 123:extremly small bathroom, very basic kitchen, no wifi
Review 124:good view on Corte, close to Restonica
Review 125:Elevator starts at first floor, so you have to carry your luggage to first floor. Breakfast very basic.
Review 126:Quiet
Review 127:The tiny shower/toilet space
Review 128:The fully equipped kitchen makes it excellent value for money.
Review 129:very handy for station ,less than 10 mins pleasant walk into main town about 20 mins walk from start of trail mare A mare
Review 130:beautiful modern building very convenient key box for late arrival
Review 131:There could have been more things for cooking in the kitchen.
Review 132:New furniture and nice facilities. Free WI-FI.
Review 133:Dirty balcony,very small bathroom.
Review 134:Well equiped kitchen
Review 135:Geat location, near a supermarket and rail station, short walk into town.
Review 136:Could be rather noisy when a young company is having a party next door.
Review 137:Rooms
The Fine Print
