Condo Hotel Mer et Golf sells fast on our site. Set between the sea and Golf de Biarritz - Le Phare, Mer et Golf Loisirs offers self-catering accommodation with a spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and free WiFi.
With a terrace looking onto the golf or sea, the apartments and studios feature a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and the bathrooms are complete with a bath tub and free toiletries.
The fully-equipped kitchenettes include a dining area, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and toaster. A coffee machine and electric kettle are also provided.
The spa features 2 hot tubs, 2 saunas and a hammam. It is available at an extra cost.

Review 1：It is a bit cramped but ofcourse for the price i pay for it i cant complain
Review 2：Staff was very helpfull. Beautifull view over the sea. Beds were very comfortable to sleep in.
Review 3：The room looked tired and dated. Electric sockets and plugs were loose and certainly not upto the standard expected. When I pulled the string to open the kitchen ventilator the whole unit fell away from the wall almost hitting me in the process.

Review 7：The hotel is quite old and needs some renovation. The lock of the door didn't work properly, wifi was broken. Ground floors don't have a real sea view (you see the parked cars).
Review 8：We were aware that the appartment would be a little bit worn out, so we were not that bothered. It is quiet location, and with 15 min walk you are on the beach.

Review 13：Dirty, very small unit reminisant of a 1960's Butlins accomodation. Bedroom was so small we couldn't get the cases in. Description very misleading. Some units appeared to be residential for and not in a good way.
Review 14：Large tank over the toilet, could hit your head on rising. Bed was too big for the bedroom, meaning it was difficult to get round the bed. Wall shelf in a very silly place, could easily bang your head when trying to get in or out of bed. Sofa torn. Bathroom cupboard hanging off. Very tired room.

Review 22：Wifi didn't work at all after asking one week before arriving to make sure they had a good wifi connection, staff were complained to by many people about it but didn't do anything to help, lot of things broken in room. Very cramped in the toilet, and I'm only 1.75m tall.

Review 26：Not good value for money, rated as a 4* but our room was in a different building which was 3*. Facilities very dated and cramped. Water on the floor where the fridge had been turned off and the ice tray melted. Really noisy, very thin walls so you could hear every noise from other rooms all through the night. Wifi didn't work for the whole stay and there were no other alternatives.

The sea was 400m as the crow flies.From our apartment it was far to the beach and a steep hill. On thewebsite it is 400 this is not true. It is down a hill and probably 1.4km. From our apartment. The map on the website makes it look very nearthe beach which it is but to get there is another matter entirely.Theroad in front of the establishment is extremely noisy and busy. Theworst was there was no wifi and it did not connect in the other buildingeither. I booked a 4 star establishment and got 3 but it should belower. They offered a once off complimentary breakfast that consisted of1 mini croissant, 1 yoghurt and 1 coffee for 11 euros. Continuous smellof smoking guests. Review 36：Noisy apartment, crowded car park, poor fixtures and fittings in a very small one bedroom apartment. For the price paid, we felt it was poor value - even for high season.
Review 37：The location was outside Biarritz and so much less crowded but the road is still quite busy into the late evening. The view of the sea is stunning though.
Review 38：We stayed 6 nights. Internet never works even though it is advertise as existing. After 5 days we asked for new towels and we were told that they are changed only once a week or we have to pay. There were offered only towels for two people and we were 4. At 130 euros per night in July this is unacceptable. At the end of our stay we were asked to clean our kitchen ( which is OK) and also to remove bedding as if we were doing the job of the cleaning maid. None of consumables available in the apartment: no dish soap, paper towel, tissue, garbage bags or basic kitchen supplies as salt and sugar. Maid service non-existent: apartment wasn't cleaned at all during our stay, and garbage wasn't removed.
Review 39：Staff was really friendly. We approached them to help us booking the next hotel online using their computer as the advertised wi-fi is nonexistent. They kindly allowed us to use their computer. Nice location near the ocean We got a room with a ocean view which was has amazing sunset views, lighthouse view, ocean view etc. We enjoyed the balcony as it gives the feeling of extra room to the small one-bedroom apartment.

Wifi rarely worked, and when it did it was slower that 3G. Decor is very dated. "Self catering" didnt include kettle, rubish bags, toaster or cleaning products.

Review 46：The lift wasn't working for the first floor. The building was in good repair but showing its age. The air freshener in the halls was strong and disagreeable. There was a bit of a crowd at check out.
Review 47：During off season the price is right, the location is very nice and convenient to Bayonne. The apartment was well equipped, nicely laid out, and the beds were comfortable. It was quiet. There is plenty of parking. A smooth check-in.

Review 61：The place is a bit shabby, used as a hotel for a night or two it would be good to know you have to provide kitchen towels and cleaning products etc. if you happen to use these facilities.

Review 63：The location is really far away from town. 26 euros by taxi to thetrain station and another 6-7 during the early hours and on sundays.Better to pay more money and stay in the city centre and save on thetaxi cost. There are no metro links and figuring the bus system if yourFrench is not that good is complex at best. Avoid for budgettravellers, for the wealthy ones who can rent a car it's a goodoption close to the Golf courses and the beach. Staff can be unhelpful,but mainly depends who you get.
Review 64：I liked the price of the room at 55 euros it was the cheapest in town.Very close to the beach and a great swimming pool and Jacuzzi at thehotel premises. Relaxed atmosphere and no one bothers you.
Review 65：The strong smell of disinfectant in the room, the towels in the bathroom were also impregnated by that smell. I would avoid the rooms on the groundfloor because of the lack of privacy.

Review 71：Limited number of apparatus connected to Wi-Fi !?!?! in 2014 ?!?! we were 4, all with at least 1 phone and 1 tablet ... but we were not allowed to have more than 3 code for access ... com'on .. please make Wi-Fi with 1 code for the whole resort .. updated every day if you want ... it should not be a pain to connect. Also, you make money on the room ... please do not overcharge for the croissant and pains-au chocolat. I think it was €1.30. Reallly ? We skipped. Make it a normal bakery price and we would have bought them every day. Last ... it would be a nice touch to give 1 Dishwasher tablet so that we can run the dishwasher before we leave instead of having to travel with a bottle of soap.

Review 73：We asked the receptionist to book us a taxi to get the train early on a Sunday morning . It never arrived and the reception area was shut. As a result by the time the first bus arrived the train had left. We lost €157 because of this and nearly a whole day waiting around a train station. The hotel won't refund our loss and still have not told me the name of the taxi company.
Review 74：Not too far from Biarritz - took about 20 minutes to walk or you can bus. Beach across the road but quite a walk down steep road and VERY strong surf so not really possible to swim in. Staff were helpful but reception not manned 24/7. Room was a disappointment for the price and quite depressing. Just a view of the other apartments. Biarritz is gorgeous though
Review 75：Not good value for money (perhaps not so surprising given it is located in France, a country with bad and expensive hotels, but even so...). Old fashioned furniture/unpleasant decoration. It was located on a ground floor and at the back (opposite to the sea), with no views and no intimacy at all (passers-by are just one meter away from the façade).

Review 86：This is not really a hotel. You get a room. There is no service. Outdated rooms. In the apartment we got for the kids bedroom did not have a real window. It was more of a closet. – dark, depressing. One key, even for a 6-person apartment. No cleaning services. Bring or buy your own laundry detergent and wash towels or pay to get a clean one. No real Internet. Don't recommend, would never stay there again.
