Reviews for Hotel El Juglar

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:The hotel is just outside Olite a beautiful walled city when we arrived the receptionist came out to help with the luggage the room was large, well decorated and with a four poster bed, the bathroom was modern and well maintained. The swimming pool was small but adequate for a hotel of this size, there is no restaurant so we crossed the road to have lunch at excellent little cafe.In the evening due to mobility problems we asked for a taxi to go for dinner in the city the receptionist gave us his telephone number so that if there was no taxi available he would get one for us.There were a number of very good restaurants within the walled main square after a final drink in the parador we rang the hotel and within 5 minutes the receptionist arrived in his own car to pick us up.A very good continental breakfast served at your table. This a hotel that really does go the extra kilometre

Review 3:Stayed here to enjoy The Festival of San Fermin. It takes about 20 minutes and we didn't have to deal with the chaos. This town is beautiful and this hotel was so pleasant. I am looking forward to coming back.

Review 4:The concierge at the desk was terrific. He was always glad to help with whatever request we made, even mapping out outings for us. It was great having a pool, even though it was small, to swim in and relax at the end of a hot day. We enjoyed the proximity to the old city without being in it. It was very easy to park right next to the hotel and just walk to the old town.

Review 5:Very friendly deskclerk and just a short walk from the castle and old town center. Parking on teh premisses is absolutely not necessary. It is fun! Never saw such a comfortable room for my car: curtains, flags, elevator and all. Located right between some fine bodegas

Review 6:The pool is much smaller than it looks on the photograph. It is quite a walk into the town.

Review 7:Very helpful owners who spoke perfect English. The underground garage was luxurious. The room was small but clean and comfortable.

Review 8:nothing

Review 11:The breakfast was overpriced for what it was

Review 12:The hotel was great, not too big, very comfortable and with lovely decor. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Review 13:There was no shower in the bathroom and low sloping roof above bath meant a couple of bumped heads.

Review 14:Room 21 was very much liked by the kids as they had their own tower to sleep in. Very easy to walk to town centre and good restaurant recommendations from the hotel. Good breakfast. Don't bother with the private parking it's easy to park outside and the area seemed safe.

Review 15:Heating not on and had to ask

Review 21:Very friendly staff, nice to relax at the pool

Review 22:Close to winery and walkable to centre. Pool was nice if small, it was 38C when we were there in early July

Review 23:Incredibly friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Close to autoroute.

Review 24:Easy 5 minute walk to Olite with lists of restaurants and places to visit. Very comfortable hotel with easy parking and helpful staff

Review 25:poor tv coverage limited to 1 station

Review 26:Access to Motorway Pool Garden Close to all town facilities

Review 27:There is no restaurant, so dinners may be a problem if you travel with a child. But the staff was very helpful and told us about a nearby hotel, where we could order some sandwiches.

Review 28:The room is clean and charming. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is plenty of room for parking and it is at walking distance to the castle.

Review 29:We thought the staff were quite cold & not particularly friendly. We tried the in-house breakfast once - we were the only people in there with no background music, so it was very formal. The waitress kept a beady eye trained on us throughout from the kitchen area, so it wasn't very relaxed. We had to keep asking for things & felt awkward asking for fruit & yoghurts as if we were bothering the waitress. We were not offered any hot food although traditionally it is normal to have just cold food like cheese & ham & croissants. The ham was quite plastic like, so in the end we felt it would have been better value & more relaxing to have bought our own food & sat on the balcony. We were only told about the kitchenette later in our stay when I asked for a knife to cut up some fruit, so we did feel that the staff did not go 'that extra mile' to make our stay a more welcoming one.

Review 30:Swimming pool was essential but expected it to be a bit bigger from the website photo & there weren't enough sun loungers. Also didn't expect hotel to be so close to main road but there didn't seem to be too much traffic, so it was ok. We had a room at the front with a large balcony which was great. It was lovely to have a generous walk-in shower & it was all spotlessly clean. There was a kitchenette downstairs which was useful for preparing our own breakfast & keeping food in the fridge. Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk into the main restaurant/shopping area.

Review 31:Cold water from the sink didn't work. There was a lot of noise commingfrom another room.

Review 32:The Suite Junior has a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The room is quite bigand comfortable. The bed is comfortable. You have to pay 9 auros forbreakfast but it's variated and generous. You get soooo relaxed when youtake a bath....Moreover, the village of Olite is very beautiful and thehotel is pretty near from the center.

Review 33:No fridge in the room.

Review 34:Charming hotel with original interior at walking distance to the castle and town. Friendly staff.
