Review 1：That no one told us the day we were leaving was to day it closed for the winter. The hotel started to put everything away with still 3 days to go . We felt unwelcome and could not relax around the pool as they closed the pool bar /restaurant 3 days early and started to put the beds away around the pool when we were trying to relax with still 3 days to go .very noisy. Mini market closed also with us having 3 days to go so also we were self catering we had to eat out which was more expensive . I feel we should have been informed we were booked in the last week .But never the less the hotel should provide us with the same facilities as a paying customer as any of the guests through the season . Very disappointed in Booking .com For not making us aware it was closing

Review 5：One elderly bar man very very rude should not be working with the public at all!!! Most of the staff very helpful the bar menu very limited and white wine choice very poor for such a lovely hotel and so many different guests.

Review 7：Room we had was at back of the hotel so unfortunately no light came through and was a bit musty but I am sure other lighter rooms were pleasant. Walls were quite thin and kitchen stove tripped the room's electricity every time we tried to use it. No signs up near the hotel until you walk in. Might help to have one near entrance.

Review 8：Great pool area with plenty of loungers. Located very close to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops. Only tried food at the pool restaurant which was very good. Welcome bottle of water in fridge was nice touch. Staff very friendly. Really nice vibe throughout the whole place.

Review 9：I would of scored this property a 10 but for the barman Paco who seems to take a dislike to us, on one of the occasions he served the man before us then continued to restock the bar and completely ignored us until another barman had to come and serve us, he was very pleasant as were all the other staff.

In need of refurb which some of the rooms are having - requested a high level room but was not given one - tried to change room and offered to pay extra but was advised no rooms available -staff very polite and room cleaned 6 days a week not Sundays - old fashion safes - keep near reception area use to them being in room ? Would say more of a three star hotel than a four - :)

Review 14：The staff ( the two gentleman) weren't helpful , they didn't even bother giving us a map when we asked for addresses unless we ask them for one . However the lady that worked there during the afternoon was very kind and helped us a lot.

Review 27：Our room was just below garden level on Level 1. It's not possible to leave doors open at night due to security concerns so it was a bit difficult to comfortably sleep.

Review 29：The air conditioning was a bit strong at night and I woke up cold a few times, but better than being too hot to sleep! Majority of people staying there seemed to be a lot older and I didn't feel overly welcome as a young couple. But palma nova is an amazing place for a sun holiday so we didn't spend much time in the hotel anyway.

Everything spot on - friendly staff (arranged golf/taxis etc for us) clean room (nothing fancy but never in it) pool really good with elevated position giving great sea views. 10 minute walk to main shops restaurants etc but along past harbour and along beach so no hardship.

Review 43：I booked Ponent Mar for a 4 night stay and trying to please everyone in the family is not always easy as with 3 sons 15,9 and 6 and a husband getting somewhere to suit us all is always a challenge - Ponent Mar certainly delivered and we will be booking to go again next year. Excellent apartment with one of the best views in Majorca. UK TV channels , wifi in the reception and plenty of space meant that we were all able to have a great holiday ( and no one moaned !)

Review 44：The onlu thing,that i did no t like at all was,that on saturday evening there were a loud party in the main hall and as our room was the nearest to the main hall, it was very difficult to sleep...

Review 51：Our second stay at this hotel, its lovely and relaxing with lots of space. The rooms are a good size, comfortable and quiet. I love the steps down to the sea. The breakfast is excellent, lots of choice. the staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Mona the receptionist.

Review 52：I did not like the first room offered which was a "sea view room" Actually roof view room! We had to stay in this room the first night and in the morning we moved to a better room but we had to pay more for this. I think the first room was awful with windows bolted closed and a view of a flat roof. Very disappointing start to our holiday. I think the prices for the rooms are very high, and not good value.

Review 53：I liked the room we eventually stayed in. the pool area was lovely. The view from our balcony was beautiful room 203. The location and proximity to the beach was great and the views from the pool area were beautiful. The rooms were very clean and pool area also very clean.

Review 54：Paper thin walls and tatty kitchen with smelly drains in bathroom, Complaint Made while there about drain smells offered another room, woke up in the morning to find brown grudge bubbled up through bath pug hole. Very poor plumbing and generally tired rooms with lumpy beds. The bedrooms need a makeover. Think before you spend your money, I would look elsewhere. Defiantly not a four star apartment / hotel. Manager also not that sympathetic to our plumbing problems and he was not very people friendly.

Bar area is very bright and airy and although entertainment is limited, what we saw was very good. Pleasant walk into Palma Nova or Puerto Portals in the opposite direction. Palma a short bus ride away. So, all in all, a good location.

Review 60：rooms were not that clean unfortunately. it seemed as if the cleaning stuff only did the beds every day and nothing else. on Sundays there is no room cleaning at all. no free WIFI on rooms (only in the lobby and bar area).

Review 62：The ants in the kitchen area despite the fact we keep everything clean and away in cupboards they were on the working surfaces in the morning. Hotel location is fine if you are able bodied or have the use of a car but it would not be suitable for everyone as it is up quite a steep hill.

I know it was a little bit more expensive for the room but 4 of us shared one room so it worked out well.Loved it.

Review 73：The night activities were often too loud when we wanted to sleep or our little kids went to bed. The hotel shop was a bit too expensive. Our children slept in the bedroom so my husband and I slept on the sofa bed in the living room. We had teh worst two weeks of sleep possible. The sofa bed has fleas so I woke up every morning with new flea bites and the quiality of the sofa bed was terrible. We had back pain and sleepless nights for 16 days. This really dampened the enjoyment of our stay and we were happy to be back home.

Review 74：We really liked the Mini club for the children mornings and the several activities offered. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The restaurant outside was enjoyable and inexpensive. The hotel was clean and easy for those with children,not to mention beautiful. It was terrific having a little shop downstairs for us to make quick trips for the small things. The pool was so enjoyable and easy that we spent most of our days at the pool instead of at the beach.

Review 76：This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. The superior apartments had been recently renovated. Location is 5min walk from the restaurants and bars. Ideal for families with small children. Entertainment every day with activities throughout. Small supermarket in basement which is ideal for milk,bread etc even though there is a Mercodo supermarket within 10min walk which is cheaper.

Review 77：The breakfast buffet was not to my liking...the hotel tried to make it "western" but it didn't taste that way. I think if they stick to Spanish cuisine, they'd be better off... It was a little pricey but we stayed their in mid-July, in high season.

Review 82：No full length mirror in our room 432. Electric switches over the bed fell off making it easy to get an electric shock. Hope to get a better room around the 115 area . These rooms are much nicer. Will go again.

Review 83：Visited Ponent Mar two years ago and the sound system p.a. in the bar was and still is ready for the scrap yard. The outdoor system is just as bad. You cannot hear whats being anounced and the girls (this year) have to hold a hand held mic when trying to explain and the water gymnastics. This looks like a struggle. Give them head mics.

We were bothered by other guests of the hotel by night when they got home and talked loudly and we also heard the water running through the pipes when other hotelguests showered or flushing the toilet at night. It was very irritating.
