Reviews for Hôtel de la Baie - Appart'hôtel
Review 1:Sound insulation between bathrooms is non-existent. Annoying when the occupant takes a 20 minute late night shower and then another 15 minute shower in the early morning. We also knew when he urinated!!!
Review 2:Warm welcome: Cosy room:
Review 3:Great location. Friendly staff. Was nice to be able to sit outside for breakfast. The hotel seemed popular with the locals which is always a good sign.
Review 4:Nothing. It exceeded expectation.
Review 5:The location was ideal and the hotel had a secure garage for our motorbike. Great value and really helpful staff. Comfortable bed and quiet. Exceeded our expectation for a modest hotel.
Review 6:Poor sound proofing - expect to get to know your neighbours! We could hear snoring and late night bathroom visits and tv watching.
Review 7:Hotel is directly on beach front, near to bars and restaurants and shops. Even though the season hadn't started properly, all the bars and restaurants were open most nights and there was a good variety of options available. Also an antiques market popped up one morning just next door.
Review 8:Nothing.
Review 9:Hotel has a very modern feel in an older building right on the sea front. No frills but very clean and tidy. Staff were all courteous and helpful. Many choices available for breakfast.
Review 10:Lovely modern hotel right on the bay with a Salon de The which offered delicious treats. I gave the location a low score because I was traveling by train and bus and the busses were very infrequent. In fact, I had to chance my plans and leave two days earlier In order to meet the limited bus schedule to get to my next place. The wonderful young woman at reception and her colleague helped me make the necessary reservation changes. They couldn't have been more accommodating.
Review 11:We liked everything!
Review 12:Having tea making facilities in your room is a treat in France! Excellent location, most comfortable room being spacious with a couple of arm chairs. Luxurious towels. Lovely quality cotton sheets, clean and quiet. Excellent value for money. It's a hotel that deservedly lives up to its reputation.Owner went beyond expectations when we couldn't get an early morning taxi for a bus by taking us to the station herself .
Review 13:Not exactly a "didn't like" item but for excellent facilities category I would think a restaurant would gain that. Mind you there were numerous restaurants within 50 m.
Review 14:Right on the main road! This meant it was noisy in the evening and at night time. Staff member responsible for breakfast was from the Basil Fawlty Language School, I'd try in my best schoolboy french, she'd laugh and repeat/speak back to you even more loudly.
Review 15:Right on the beach! Brilliant views! Clean and well equipped.
Review 16:obviously had a complete makeover to a very good modern standard. good sea view, quiet and comfortable, sorry we didn't stay longer really.
Review 17:The location is excellent, right on the sea front. The facilities were good, in particular the kitchen area for guests to use was clean and equiped to a high standard. The rooms had been refurbished and were comfortable and, for the british, had a kettle and mugs so we could make tea. The hotel has no parking but there is lots of free public parking nearby so not a problem. The wifi worked OK but was dubious in some rooms, best in the main hotel lobby. Would recommend and certainly consider staying again.
Review 18:2 flights of stairs up to first floor so difficult with heavy luggage.
Review 19:Very friendly and helpful staff. Garage for locking up bike overnight. Large soft towels. Big windows open to overlook the beach. LOTS of activity right outside hotel and within 5/10 minutes walk. Great crepes in salon du the which is attached to the hotel.
Review 20:Great location, staff gave us a choice of rooms which was really nice, free parking out the back for the motorbike, right across from the beach, great breakfast with lots of options and first place that had fried eggs and bacon.
Review 21:Very pleasant stay. Well equipped and recently refurbished. Go for Ocean view.
Review 22:The stairs to the top floor
Review 23:The view of the beach and bay from the room.
Review 24:the smell of stale cigarette smoke
Review 25:nothing

Review 45:Shower cubicle and noise
Review 46:The view
Review 47:macerator in bathrooms creating noise from ours and other bathrooms. Noise from other rooms.

Review 50:Great location opposite the beach, modern room, accommodating staff
Review 51:Electric toilets a bit noisy in the middle of the night.
Review 52:Hotel has recently been refurbished so rooms looked much better than the photos on this site. Rooms were clean and spacious, good bedding, and modern decor. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast with scenic views
Review 53:No safe or fridge in room.
Review 54:Excellent location right opposite lovely beach. Simply furnished but clean with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer , and friendly staff. Fabulous view from room at front of hotel . We had lovely weather during our one week stay and had breakfast each morning outside overlooking beach . Crozon Morgat nice little town with a few restaurants , shops and market alternate Wednesdays . No problems parking close to hotel .
Review 55:The hotel claimed it was fabulous, well it was not, our so calledsupourer room was in fact very basic, no wardrob just some open shelvesto put the clothes on.
Review 56:The british girl Laura was very helpfull. The sea view was good.Generally the hotel seemed to be run on the Faulty Tower priciple, withone watress manic.
Review 57:A bit far from public communications. WiFi completely open (potentially unsafe) that gets a bit loaded and slow at times. On the other hand the WiFi was completely free and normally working fine.
Review 58:The location close to the beach in Morgat, and close to walks to Cap de la Chevre and other walks on the Crozon peninsula. Also close to a number of differently prized dining options. The personal feeling of the hotel, with friendly staff, and the friendly, energetic landlady. The breakfast with lots of options. The nice teahouse with lots of tempting bakery and patissery items.
Review 59:The noisy toilets- sounded like a train going through the room, including from the neighbors at 4 am- i suspect the price to pay for economic toilets. Lack of public transport despite the horaire saying a available on demand if booked the day before they refused
Review 60:Warm friendly welcome, helpful staff, roomy, comfortable accommodation, and great- a jug to make a cuppa
Review 61:The room was big enough with great view to the beach (50m away).Everything was clean. The receptionist spoke fluently English andswitched to English as he realized I was not a french speaker... Niceand friendly staff. You could choose your breakfast on your own...
Review 62:All fine.
Review 63:Being an artist for last 40 years professional, I loved the scenery. The beach (for me and dog walks) was excellent as both are getting rotund and that helped my creaking bones on lovely coast walks to find subjects. The staff were paricularly lovely and even washed my clothes for nothing. I ordered omelettes for breakfast and got them when not officially on list
Review 64:Great value for money. Low price for a very nice and clean hotel. Staff very friendly. You need to pay extra for the breakfast but choice between 3 different breakfast types. Room with sea view was very nice (unfortunately with a big crane in front of it during our stay).
Review 65:Easy to find! Wonderful view! Quiet! And a fully enclosed shower!!!
Review 66:Parking difficult and they were renewing the seawall during our visit.
Review 67:Bathroom/dressing room was very modern striking.
Review 68:the sea view the beach the scenery the staff
Review 69:Very clean and comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good value for money. Pleasant and reasonably priced breakfast.
