Reviews for Hostellerie De La Mer
Review 1:The location is fantastic, right on the seafront! The room was really cosy and well-decorated. We were very pleased with our stay and would love to stay there again. The food was delicious - we had dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Some vegetarian options would have been appreciated on the menu... but this applies to most places in France! Breakfast was probably one of the best we've ever had in a hotel (eggs, fresh orange juice and buckwheat yoghurt, to name but a few things). The staff were very friendly too. What else can I say? :-)
Review 2:Back room (without sea view) very small and noisy with the kitchen ventilation just outside the window.
Review 3:Very good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location.
Review 4:Looking out the window of our room we could see a wall just at a distance of half a meter.I think that this is not regular for a public structure. Furthermore, the room was too little. Moreover, the hotel admitted dogs, but not in the dining room. So that has preventing us from having breakfast and dinner there.
Review 5:Extractor fan not working in bathroom (tiny niggle on a great stay though!)
Review 6:Great location, quiet and beautiful. Fantastic food and wonderful service in the restaurant.
Review 7:The room was a bit small and the bathroom fittings were ultra modern but not very practical
Review 8:The peaceful and picturesque location The friendly and helpful staff The delicious breakfast fare The superb food available in the restaurant in the evenings
Review 9:The rooms and facilities at this hotel are comfortable and staff are friendly and welcoming. However, the real star quality belongs to the restaurant - an absolute gem with superbly creative dishes.
Review 10:-The only window overlooked a wall -Steam and smell coming from the kitchen beneath the window -The price was too high for the quality of the room
Review 11:-Great Breakfast (11 euro person) -Location -Nicely and freshly renovated -Good restaurant in the hotel
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were staying with our 6 month old daughter and had no issues. Location was great - nice area. My family were staying in Morgat, so it was a good base for us. Rooms were very tidy and breakfast was great. We would definitely visit this hotel again
Review 14:Bedding worn, duvet bobbly. Room at rear overlooking roof of kitchen with extraction units, noisy. Asked for tea bags and milk, none appeared.
Review 15:Food was excellent and the owners were lovely. The restaurant was brilliant and the waiters were excellent and very friendly. The view was nice. Plenty of choice at breakfast.
Review 16:A friendly welcome, a functional and spacious room with a view and a superb dinner: Our compliments to the chef, Jacques Frappier, for an outstanding dinner! We plan to come back.
Review 17:Great restaurant, great location, easy parking and super efficient staff
Review 18:Very noisy re adjacent rooms and corridors - walls very thin !
Review 19:Twin beds not available though requested
Review 20:Restaurant. Both dinner & breakfast
Review 21:Fantastisk mat. Trevlig personal! Lugnt!
Review 22:Location Quality of Food Family-run management
Review 23:shower
Review 24:food location room view
Review 25:Footsteps from floor above can be a nuisance - but it is an oldish building with wooden floors so part of the experience.
Review 26:Incredible views, superb restaurant serving excellent dishes.
Review 27:A friendly welcome and plenty of parking space opposite the hotel. We had a nice studio-type room overlooking the sea. There was lots of choice at breakfast.
Review 28:The room was very small. It was impossible to close the toilet door. There was an infusion provided in the room with a kettle but when I asked for a sachet of coffee it was not available. Overpriced and undersized.
Review 29:The room was clean
Review 30:There was very little to dislike.
Review 31:Although quite a simple hotel, this is gem of a place. It is set in a very quiet fishing village and attached the restaurant is superb. The rooms are moderately small, but were adequate for our needs and very comfortable. Parking is on the street, but the area is so quiet that there are plenty of places.
Review 32:This is a delightful hotel in the quiet tiny village of Le Fret. We had a sea view room that was our best "room with a view" experience. The restaurant is one of the best on the entire peninsula with excellent seafood. There are few other choices in the village but this is a short drive to the town of Camaret where we spent most of our time.
Review 33:Smell of bleach in our room. On checking in, no mention was made ofmotorised shutters; we thought we had no privacy from our windows, asthere were no curtains!
Review 34:Nice view of the sea from our first floor room.
Review 35:1) Some unpleasant odour came out of the bathroom;2) The waiter in the restaurant (male) had a snappish way while serving our meals. To be honest we had the impression he could not stand us and did big efforts to remain polite. 3) Food was OK but still needs to be worked out to make it a "WOW experience"
Review 36:Great sea view with large terrace if you book the Club Suite as we did.Parking right before the hotel, friendly staff and the location of theHotel make it worth to visit and stay for a couple of nights
Review 37:Wi-fi was a little tricky to get -
Review 38:The hotel is right on the seaside which is very nice and paying a little extra for a sea view is worth it. The room seemed a little worn and was quite small but neither was a big deal. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant offerings are very limited if you are not a seafood eater - which we are not - but the chef was very accommodating and creative in preparing substitutes. The food is outstanding and the service in the restaurant was top shelf! The dogs were welcome without an additional fee - only issue is that there is no good place right outside the hotel for them to do their "business." Be prepared to walk a bit for some green grass for dogs - it is a beach, after all!
Review 39:Possibly hot during the summer as there is no air conditioning. No onsite parking but public paid parking is close
Review 40:Very clean, comfortable and centrally located with a great view over the sea and distant English Channel. Staff speak english and very obliging.
