Reviews for Le Domaine Du Mirage

Review 1:The wi-fi was terrible, it only worked in the immediate reception area, and was patchy with poor connectivity.

Review 2:Hotel was clean, staff were helpful, and the view was amazing.

Review 3:The room was not clean - in fact the bed cover was really filthy and old. Wi-Fi very unstable everywhere at the hotel. Be aware that the hotel is one of those places where there is not enough sun beds for all in the pool area and, therefore, selfish guests arrived around 8 am to block the beds with their towels - and several of quests did not come back before 11-12 am to use the beds!

Review 4:Pool and garden area with a nice view, relaxing atmosphere and a rather large pool (20 meter length). The breakfast had good variation of fresh food and beverages

Review 5:We felt like the place had changed ownership and was not quite the service and super-friendliness we've had in the past. We were not allowed to have a late check out. The food in the restaurant was not great (as it has been in the past).. We were told we had to arrive at 9 p.m. sharp for dinner at the latest. We then witnessed others being seated and served at about 10:30! The overall friendliness was missing. No longer providing pool towels as in the past. Something was missing.

Review 6:We've been coming to the Mirage a while and it is in a beautiful location with an old-fashioned but beautiful building and pool with gardens and terrace. The rooms are neat if not large, with a little terrace.

Review 7:Although seldom disappointed by this hotel - we experienced very average service on our last visit in June 2005. We would also add that the dinner menu was less extensive than in previous visits.

Review 8:As regular visitors to this hotel we have seldom been disappointed by the wonderful location, pool and terrace restaurant. It is a great place to relax and unwind away from noise and people...

Review 9:Shower/tub arrangement not ideal; didn't contain water adequately.

Review 10:Viewing property photos (pre-booking), I wondered whether this Mirage could be real. It was! Amazing to get such loveliness at such a reasonable price. Appreciated professionalism of staff, who directed us to fine restaurants in exquisite Bormes-les-Mimosas a five-minute drive away.

Review 11:Internet connection: bad. Didn't work up in my room, only lobby, and even so, poorly. Service at front desk in the evening was horrendous: aloof and ironic. As an example, couldn't transfer phone calls to my room after midnight.

Review 12:You can tell it is a hotel that has past its prime. It's a beautiful building with a beautiful view. The terrace is especially great. Breakfast is fair.

Review 13:installations are quite old, need refurbishing; some details are missing for a hotel of this category (ex. there is no place for toils at the bathroom, there is no hair dryer (when we asked for one, the atendant says "in a couple of minutes" but we are still waiting...we believe they dont have it...); the hotel at a whole seems need an upgrade to not seems decadent.

Review 14:Nice place and terrasse, with a bealtiful view from the region; good swimming pool; sacade at rooms are nice

Review 15:Completely let down by lack of quality bed linen, towels, cleaning, and not laying tables properly. Someone is squeezing this place for money and it shows. Rooms are small but with good linens and pillows etc you wouldn't complain. Been twice for convenience but won't be going back.

Review 16:Location and outside pool and terrace area is great. But rooms are tiny and ........

Review 17:We were very happy with our stay. Great location, lovely hotel and friendly staff. No complaints at all

Review 18:Wifi connection was quite poor. Was told at my departure that there are 2 wifi networks

Review 19:Good choice for breakfast, beautiful location, nice pool

Review 20:Breakfast on terrace, excellent location, bar

Review 21:The wi if connections were very eratic.

Review 22:Restful atmosphere with friendly staff and the pool was a great relief from the incredibly hot temperature.

Review 23:Really lovely hotel on the hillside overlooking the coast and Islands. Great pool, terrace and nice staff.

Review 24:It was the third time we came here, but this year we came a bit earlier. The restaurant was closed.

Review 25:The view.

Review 26:Everything

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:The hotel is perfect to relax, we enjoyed resting by the pool sunbathing and swimming.

Review 29:the big bug in our room the purple painted walls on the ground floor the small shower but powerful

Review 30:the location the view the friendly staff

Review 31:kitchen - no internet connection in the room -

Review 32:Unbelievable to say but no staff in hotel after 8pm every night. We arrived and there was only a letter on the front desk with our room key

Review 33:Plenty of activities to enjoy your stay in the sub and also a wonderful view with breakfast on a very nicely placed terrace.

Review 34:Contrary to statements in Michelin guide and on the hotel's own notices, there was NO restaurant. The pool, though very good, was NOT heated.

Review 35:Lovely site; excellent facilities.

Review 36:Rooms are a bit small.

Review 37:Location is superb. Leisure facilities are very good. Staff are very helpful and work hard to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

Review 38:In need of a little modernisation and tidying of some of the grounds which, for the most part were nice. The most annoying thing was that although check out was supposed to be by noon bath towels were taken from our room the evening before and the room key did not work after 9 am on the morning of departure. That happened to others who were staying there too so we know it was hotel policy. Disappointing.

Review 39:Nicely located within walking distance of Bormes Les Mimosas and Le Lavandou. Nice pool and terrace. Parking facilities were good as was the breakfast. The menu looked nice though we did not have an opportunity to eat a meal there.

Review 40:One glass of champagne costs 11€. Next time I'll take a bottle.

Review 41:The food was excellent and not expensive. The sea view from our terraswas great.

Review 42:Mini-bar was not stocked when we arrived and never was stockedduring our stay.No water kettle or glassware in room for making a late night coffee or enjoying a glass of wine. Room has a terrace so it lends itself to sitting outside and enjoying a glass of wine. When we departed early one morning, no one was at the desk and we were unable to locate anyone to complete the check-out process. After about 10 minutes, we left a note and headed for the airport. Restaurant was closed during our stay so we cannot comment on the hotel's restaurant.

Review 43:Great location to the village of Bormes-les-Mimosas - quiet, romantic.Lots of great local wineries and beaches close by.Room was a great value for having an ocean view - especially with the complimentary parking and WIFI provided. Staff was very friendly and professional. Lots of great dining within walking distance (look for the hidden pedestrian trails that traverse up the hill!!), quaint views along the way.

Review 44:Poor cleanliness of grounds and balconies Lack of attention by staff No staff when you need them Hotel has not bee updated in years and now looks very tired, making it very poor value for money, compared to its competitors. Poor location - cannot walk to town and MUST have a car Hotel ONLY open 16 June to 31 Aug. Hotel page does not indicate this. Facilities in grounds very poor and unclean. Balinese hut seating covered in years' worth of moss and gym is a shed with 2 rusting bikes, that have not been serviced or cleaned in years

Review 45:View from hotel was excellent.

Review 46:Not what we expected- pictures on the web are not what it looked like-restaurant was closed- not anywhere near the beach at all- tacky decor

Review 47:The front desk person was very nice

Review 48:No food, not even a snack........strange for a hotel.........No food until height of season from 15th. June. No warning on the booking........So if your hungry be prepared to travel outside the hotel or starve!

Review 49:Location and style. The shabby chic look is in good taste. The bathrooms all recently re-tiled and hallelujah a bath! The view from the balcony is superb.

Review 50:The breakfast was not very qualitative and quite expensive. We asked fora double bed and we had 2 single beds next to each other that came apart during the night.

Review 51:The Location of the hotel is convenient as it closed to the old villageof Bormes les mimosas and far from the crowd. The beach is not so farwith the car. The view is nice. The rooms are convenient and clean. Thebathroom was big and very convenient.

Review 52:The hotel restaurant was closed

Review 53:The whole experience

Review 54:air conditioning is pretty much outdated

Review 55:very kind staff outstanding location with spectacular view

Review 56:The dinner we had was excellent, lovely food, very well cooked, goodwind, and all for a reasonable price for France

Review 57:Need to drive to Bormes les Mimosa, design.

Review 58:Well priced and easy to find, easy parking.

Review 59:Very helpful staff. Great view from balcony. Lovely breakfast.
