Reviews for Hôtel Revotel

Review 1:The room was very basic, perfect for one person. Any more than one person and it would be very cramped.

Review 2:I liked it was near the city center, about a 15 minute walk to see most of the sites.

Review 3:The wi-fi was disconnecting all the time. The room is rather small with not enough space for clothes and other staff.

Review 4:Friendly staff, good location (not far from the train station), parking just in front of the hotel entrance.

Review 5:The staff were not enought aknowleged with the sight seens to give precise informations...

Review 6:The location is very good and centra! They have a parking place and allowed us to leave our car untill the end of the day our departure ;)

Review 7:No lift and our original room had barely any space to put our luggage.

Review 8:We are in our 70s and were booked on the second floor, with no lift. We had very heavy suitcases, and when we required about a room on a lower floor we wee able to get a larger room with more space,

Review 9:Breakfast was kinda small room very small but clean

Review 10:We had a night at revotel. Very small rooms, but absolutely clean. Near centre is nice - we needed like 10min. to the main place in town (walking distance). Private parking area and the price make this a good choice for 1-2 nights. Breakfast was small but sufficient enough. Overall good and friendly hotel.

Review 11:Despite good WiFi signal strength, connection speed was abysmal (barely enough for gmail in HTML mode), so do not plan getting to inbox zero while staying here :)

Review 12:Fulfilled our expectations, formed based on other reviews here. Good if you plan spending almost all your time in the city - close to the center and the gourmet restaurants street. Bathroom was small and tired, but clean. Room is also small, but clean and good enough for 2 nights we spent there.

Review 13:There was no 'stopper' for the wash basin. I explained this as best I could at reception. The following day, the woman assured me that this was how all the basins are. Bizarre, particularly during a spell of water shortages.

Review 14:Ample, cheap parking. Tea/coffee-making facilities, though had to ask for some milk. Big, comfy bed.

Review 15:Would have helped to have a small fridge in the room.

Review 16:Location directly between musee l'ecole de nancy and place stanislas 20 minute walk to both. Has parking on site. Good value.

Review 17:Parking spaces were a little cramped in the car park but that's the only thing.

Review 18:The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was comfortable and within an easy walk to the City centre. It was excellent value for the money.

Review 19:Road was noisy but did quieten down eventually.

Review 20:Rooms were clean, location good as only few minutes walk from Nancy centre. Pay for a better room with air con if the weather is hot or the rooms could be very warm.

Review 21:Room very small. No cups for tea or coffee only paper one. No milk even uht.

Review 22:Very comfy bed, king size and bedding was clean. We used it to break our journey but only ok for a night.

Review 23:There was nowhere to put anything so everything had to be stacked up on the floor. Breakfast was very basic and the coffee was undrinkable.

Review 24:Location was good - handy enough to Stanislas Pl and Maison de L'Ecole de Nancy.

Review 25:The power to the electric heater in the room is controlled from the front desk. And they only provide power to the heater when "they" think it's cold. Which really bothered this guy from Florida! We Floridians have a different tolerance for cool & cold than most other people do! That said. They did turn on my heater when I requested it as it did get quite cold when a cold front came through.

Review 26:Good breakfast. Right next to the train station and close to the attractions and sight seeing. Pretty basic but functional accommodation. I've had better and I've had worse. Not bad for a solo traveler on a budget. But would not recommend for a family with kids or a couple looking for an intimate retreat.

Review 27:Room was dingy. bathroom was the size of a porta potty. Bedding was scratchy, everything very cheap. Area around hotel very sketchy and unsafe feeling.

Review 28:Hotel staff, Jeff, was wonderful, enthusiastic and helpful. Allowed pets. Parking in back lot behind hotel.

Review 29:the room was like premiere classe-only more dated design and no space for luggage, bed starts moving away if you tray to sit leaning against wall etc.

Review 30:reception ladys spoke good english-merci,good parking,wi-fi worked, nice window view

Review 31:Bathroom was tiny, but clean

Review 32:Location was a 10 minute walk from Place Stanislas and that nice Pepiniere Park, good wifi, fairly quiet, good breakfast selection

Review 33:No chest of drawers, shelf or anything where on can put any clothing. Forced to keep everything in suitcase. Bathroom reminded me of washrooms in is airplane. Brings the question of what can one expect for the price?

Review 34:Hotel is accessed via a driveway through a building, and so very quiet. parking spots ample size. Arriving late decided to go for breakfast which was quite decent. Good bakery/patisiere like 1/2 block away. Wifi worked all the time and well. For price of 44 Euro cannot be beat. One has to realize this place it like real no frills, and not fit for a longer stay. Was there 2 nights.

Review 35:The only down side was that at some point our bedroom had been smoked in heavily and so the sheets or blanket on the bed smelt of cigarette smoke.

Review 36:We got adjoining rooms for us and our two small children and it cost peanuts so great value for money and very convenient. Our children didn't have to pay for breakfast and parking was only 1 euro for the night so all in all cheap and worth it.

Review 37:Paid extra for a room with a courtesy tray, but got no milk I guess I could've gone and asked for some but after tackling 2 doors with entrance codes for each I couldn't be bothered to go through all that again, just tooo tired sleepy time needed.

Review 38:Great location with cheap off road parking, and within easy walking distance from the centre.

Review 39:the shower has no individual outlet, nor isolated, so the other part in the shower-toilet room would be in flood after your shower; very old sliding-folderable door for shower-toilet room

Review 40:private parking area; friendly staffs; wifi ok, but you need to log on once disconnected; not far from city center; facilities ok; good value for the price

Review 41:Of course the room is small, showering takes some gymnastic experience but overall nothing that could not be expected from a room at this price. Compare it to Etap hotels.

Review 42:Location was perfect: walking distance to the centre of Nancy. The bathroom is very small but complete. Very quiet: one would not expect to be in a city centre. Our view was a 19th century church.

Review 43:Inconsiderate Dutch guests who talked very loudly and left their engine running prior to a 7.00 am departure, waking one side of the hotel.

Review 44:good central location with good car parking. Excellent friendly helpful young man on reception

Review 45:The room was very small and the bathroom was a very tiny cabin. The window had to be opened as otherwise there was no air in the room.

Review 46:It was close to city center

Review 47:I liked the fact it had a secure garage, so I was able to leave a lot of stuff on my motorcycle and not carry it all into the hotel and at a cost of just 1 euro, it was well worth it.

Review 48:Some of the furniture and fittings were a bit tired, but that didn't bother us too much. The shower was a little unpredictable!

Review 49:The room was a good size, price was very reasonable, the beds were comfy and it was clean

Review 50:Part of the staff - definitely not all of it - seemed to be highly motivated to express how annoying any request of guests in difficulties might be. Something that silently - but even so eloquently - sounded like "it is not my problem, can't you see you are disturbing me?". It is almost a clichet that such things may take place in France - but, being quite a frequent traveler there, and fully disagreeing with that stereotype, the fact did call my attention. And it did remind me of one year before, when I was in Los Angeles, and noticed the deep effort of the staff in hotels, restaurants, stores, anywhere, not giving up until they saw their customers were fully satisfied. Cultural differences apart, the point is: a guest requesting for help is not a nobody in the street asking for a generous favour. He is a costumer that has payed for services a hotel is supposed to provide. Professionalism requires that services are provided with quality. And attitude is part of quality standards as far as services are concerned.

Review 51:Well located, good structure, good price-per-value relation.

Review 52:Carpet needs refurbishment. Bathrooms ? Price can't expect too much!

Review 53:Price was really good for distance from main tourist hub and family of five with parking.

Review 54:Underground car park was excellent, hotel was good, family restaurant just down the road recommend by the hotel was brilliant (taverne chez maître marcel), booked again for our return journey and went to the restaurant again

Review 55:The room I was given, had a strong cigarette smell (window was widely open, but seems didn't help much). Can't blame the hotel for that, though. There are sings, that smoking is not allowed in the rooms. So for this I can only blame whoever stayed in room 15 on the 9th of July! So moved to another room, but there the access codes didn't work. Wasn't a drama, as the guys at the reception were there all the time to open it for me.

Review 56:Located some 10min walk from the center. Close to the train station. Has a parking. Staff is very friendly. In general the hotel is ok for 1-2 nights stay.
