Reviews for Hôtel De Mougins
Review 1:Seemed a bit short staffed in the evenings but not a problem.
Review 2:Quiet area but great location for anything you want to do. Beautiful garden and pool area. We were there in late Sept so past the high season but still usable. The hotel restaurant is excellent (we are food snobs) so if you don't have to go out. However, the area is a gastronomic haven so do eventually venture out to the many outstanding restaurants.
Review 3:Sunday , big private lunch which was noisy and finished late, so we couldn't stay by the pool.
Review 4:Comfortable room, with a nice view on the pool. Food excellent, and restaurant outside very cosy.
Review 5:Staff/service was terrible from A to Z. Lack of experience, lack of training, lack of understanding of what 4-star hotel clients expect...the management should urgently fix this. Reception desk were the only one trying hard to do well although when we needed a taxi best they could get for a 10mn taxi ride was 75 euros (!!!) after exhausting all (their) options. It took me 3 mins to get a number online for a 30 euro deal...still a rip off but just showed how useless or greedy they are. Location: the electricity 'mega' power line right above the hotel is a disgrace...and isn't visible on any of their photos of course
Review 6:Great garden, feels like a big 'home', relaxing. Breakfast was very good. Nice bed. Good Wifi.
Review 7:Internet - despite the fact that they had a router in every room, the majority did not work at all. Some funny understanding of how the room should be supplied etc. Bathroom was an adventure!!!
Review 8:Location was amazing.
Review 9:There were a lot of mosquitoes early evening when sitting outdoors.
Review 10:This Hotel is really lovely. It has character. The rooms are lovely and the bed is very comfortable. We had a room with doors opening onto a private patio area. There is a beautiful big pool with comfortable sun beds. The garden has lemon trees and interesting tropical plants. The hotel is located in a quiet area. The staff efficient and very friendly and made you feel welcome. There is a lovely lounge area with a bar. We chose not to eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on the quality of the breakfast.
Review 11:No air con in bar area, which was a shame as lovely bar area think it could be a place people would like to relax in, but was very hot and uncomfortable.
Review 12:Lovely hotel, really relaxing time, hopefully going to book again for next year
Review 13:Beautiful Hotel & Pool, staff were excellent could not do enough for you, we traveled with four children, aged 3 , 5 , 13 & 15 all made to feel welcome. Restaurant cuisine fantastic.
Review 14:The hotel is located under a power line, next to a noisy road. The rooms are in dire need for an upgrade, tired looking old furniture. The bathroom (room 210) had a gaping hole under the sink cabinet. God knows what was crawling there. The pool area was uncomfortably restricted, and not enough sun beds. I do not agree with your rating of 4.2. Can you explain this to me?!
Review 15:We had breakfast at the hotel the first morning but were quite disappointed with selection for the price. Had an issue with the air con in our room - we were put into a bigger room with good a/c - no fuss at all.
Review 16:Fabulous hotel. Pretty surroundings, Nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool and very comfy sun loungers. Large towels provided. 5 minutes from beautiful old town of Mougin.
Review 17:The breakfast was abit untidy. The buffet wasn't replenished very well. The scrambled eggs offered was not pleasant. The bread was not replenished. Being English, there was no Ceylon tea or English breakfast choice. Cutlery was not complete. My room faced the back. Disappointed as I paid the highest cost for a room.
Review 18:The online booking service offered me to request a late check out, but when I did the reply was No! But when I arrived the staff were very nice and allowed me a late check out to 2pm!
Review 19:Internet too slow and often bad connection. The bathroom in our room has come of age and was not up to standard.
Review 20:Setting/arrangement of the hotel, especially the garden surrounded by the villas created a very cosy and relaxing atmosphere.
Review 21:Slow, poor service by a few of the staff - but the majority very helpful. Atmosphere would benefit from some music on the terrace / restaurant area and by the pool. Could do with drinks service by the pool.
Review 22:Beautiful setting, gardens and building Lovely rooms Excellent food at lunch and dinner
Review 23:- Evth is old and need being renovation - Terrible safety barrier around pool - Not enough beach beds around pool - Expensive breakfast, not far away there is an amazing bakery with a good prices
Review 24:+ Helpfull stuff
Review 25:The internet connection was poor and you had to log in every time again. No music in a outdoor restaurant, so in the evening it's not so romantic atmosphere.
Review 26:Very relaxed and romantic hotel, very delicious and high quality breakfast and amazing dinner! Nice small pool area! Very comfortable beds and nice linen. Bathroom amenties again- high quality so no need to take your own with you. Little details, but you notice them immidiately as soon as you arrive to this lovely hotel.
Review 27:only deceiving part was the wifi system not working well for us.
Review 28:Not too big hotel. Almost a family pension Garden, terrasse and pool were really pleasant.
Review 29:Breakfast is an extra 20 euro, we arrived at 10h00 and already did not have croissants any more, there was only one choice of bread. There were no more plates available and on the trays were no serving spoons.
Review 30:Location is excellent. Rooms are ok.
Review 31:No bad points that would stop us going again.mougins village is fantastic many thanks
Review 32:Small and friendly hotel, more like your own villa than a hotel.exellent pool and resteraunt areas
Review 33:Had a meal in the restaurant it was expensive but I didn't enjoy it at all. Lunch was also expensive but very nice.
Review 34:Beautiful gardens, great pool with fab sun loungers, lovely rooms with patio doors out to small terrace leading out to gardens, free late check out
Review 35:Nothing !
Review 36:The stunning garden where you can have breakfast and dinner. The dinner we had was absolutely delicious - best Spanish ham and fois gras we have ever had! The pool is wonderful and the staff from the moment we arrived couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.
Review 37:Great location, lovely gardens, pool and room arrangement in grounds. Had a room with a balcony which was lovely, also having breakfast on the terrace. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 38:I had to amend my booking and they charged me a night for that. though i booked a flex rate. Unlikely to book there again.
Review 39:hotel location, veiw, garden.
Review 40:Adequate breakfast! When busy the buffet breakfast is not replenished so if you happen to be at the end of the breakfast period there is little left! So I made sure I was early!
Review 41:Location,staff,service,comfort.
Review 42:Despite urban setting it is quiet and the grounds are wonderful. Pool looked big though was not yet open. Super walking and cycling trails on doorstep. We got a promotional deal which made it very good value.
Review 43:I really like the surrounding gardens and swimming pool area, which make a peaceful place to relax. The Hotel decor is typical for the region. One could not criticise the cleanliness .Rooms are well maintained.
Review 44:They need to sort out wifi access as you kept on having to log on every time you left and entered the hotel. For an up to date hotel, the wifi access needs reconsideration!
Review 45:We loved the gardens, the pool, our room, the grounds, the location and the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, we were upgraded from a classic to a deluxe which was fabulous for 3 of us, the pool was opened especially for our children and we all loved the food!
Review 46:Transportation and food is very bad.
Review 47:Room and service is very good
Review 48:Hotel was cold in Jan but staff did supply extra heaters.

Review 58:The hotel rooms are spacious the gardens are lovely the location very convenient
Review 59:The pool is lovely. Breakfast on the terrace was absolutely fantastic. Rooms very comfortable. Clean towels every day.
Review 60:Dim lighting in bedroom (universal in France, however!)
Review 61:The setting and ambience of the hotel
Review 62:Everything.
Review 63:none
Review 64:the garden, service and restaurant
Review 65:The hotel needs better decoration and better maintenance, but we believe that they are aware about that.
Review 66:The location and the terraces and gardens.
Review 67:The environment. Relaxing and quite. Very friendly people at reception.
Review 68:Very friendly
Review 69:The staff are amazing! Your needs are met & you can be worry free. The food is very fresh & tasty! I would visit again!
Review 70:Very poor Wifi and very slow.
Review 71:Friendly staff
Review 72:Workers mowing the loan in the morning, coming right to our outdoor terrace while we were having breakfast
Review 73:Lovely hotel, nice staff, good location, nice breakfast
Review 74:Difficult to fault. The canned music in the garden is unnecessary and is slightly intrusive on what is otherwise a perfect atmosphere.
Review 75:The staff were wonderful. The gourmet restaurant was incredible and the staff were extremely helpful in ensuring that a dairy-intolerant member of the family were well looked after. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the grounds/gardens just delightful.
Review 76:Service can erratic in the restaurant in the evening. I was travelingon my own and sometimes wanted the room service menu and this wasvery limited.
Review 77:Beautiful surroundings, lovely pool area and gardens. Close to Mouginsand Cannes. Comfortable rooms with view onto the garden and pool.
Review 78:The staff kept dropping everything. Also, we were told upon check in that breakfast was included within the rate, but then we were charged for breakfast upon check out.
Review 79:The hotel is very peaceful and was very easy to relax there.
Review 80:There is only one gastronomic restaurant for evenings (quite expensive, but worth it). It would be nice to also have the possibility of a traditional restaurant or traditional dishes in the same restaurant.
Review 81:The facilities, the grounds, the staff, the environment. It is quite, luxurious and there is a feel good factor when staying there
Review 82:Rooms need refurb, furniture very tiired
Review 83:Charming staff, nice bar ,could not try restaurant as it was fullybooked so must be good, rooms on ground floor open to little garden, large comfortable bed
Review 84:Fo the standard of hotels, the bathroom soaps, shampoos were poor.Breakfast was good except that the selection of hot foods wasdisappointing. In spite of repeated requests the coffee was not hotenough for northern european travellers such as ourselves.
Review 85:Warm ambience of the hotel, evening fire, during an unseasonal coldspell in February.
Review 86:Very high prices in restaurant which were out of keeping with rest of Mougins, e.g. 22 euros p. person for coffee and a basket of pastries is a little excessive for breakfast.
Review 87:A perfect place to relax.
Review 88:For small kids pool is a little bit cold, price a little bit overvalued, because noise from street is starting early morning. Staff is veryofficial and cold.
Review 89:We spent 3 nights in this Hotel. Location is ok, Service ok,
Review 90:the fact it was so close to the street and you could hear the cars driving past all the time. it made me feel that the hotel was overpriced and really, they should have done more to cut out the sound.
Review 91:the hotel itself was amazing and perfect for relaxation
Review 92:no shower curtain.
Review 93:food was excellent.
Review 94:some of the best food we have ever eaten in france the new chef is very special, really helpful friendly staff, superbly comfortable beds
Review 95:nothing
