Reviews for H10 Estepona Palace

Review 1:pillows to soft , no coffee making facilities in room , 6 euro a day to have that privilege not acceptable in my book

Review 2:The staff were great the food good and the heated pool perfect loved my stay and will return but not without a travel kettle

Review 3:Staring out of the room balcony with a building site directly in ones face (zero view). We were there for one night, so no big deal.

Review 4:Very clean, spacious and welcoming hotel.

Review 5:We had not stayed in any of the H10 hotels before this- it was an enormous surprise. What an amazing hotel! From the stark white buildings to the spacious communal areas to the plush beds to the simply amazing breakfast...this is top notch accommodation.

Review 6:Evening buffet food. Only warm and was shown a microwave at end of service counter where it could be re heated

Review 7:We got what we requested, sea view and well away from next door building work.lovely room comfy bed and pillows. Peace and quiet. Good choice at breakfast

Review 8:The mattress were abit hard!!

Review 9:Very nice place and staff with very nice and good selection of food!! Also lovely experience in the spa and really good massage and treatment!! Overall a 10 out of 10

Review 10:Pools were cold Bit far away from the main town (only 1.5k though)

Review 11:Breakfasts were excellent Staff friendly Rooms very clean and cleaning service daily

Review 12:It took too long to get served at the bar, yet there were more staff than customers! End of season, and the hotel needs a paint job here and there. Beach needs a good cleaning blitz.

Review 13:Staff were extremely helpful throughout my stay. We had to move rooms because of a water leak and this was well organised. Rooms nice and large, plenty of beds by the pool and on the beach.

Review 14:Pool open at 10 and close early like 7 or 8 pm, the beach is stony and wavy but it has a nice view you can see the Rock of Gibraltar.

Review 15:Rooms are bigger and has the sea view, free safe, mini ref , balcony, strong and free wifi, and free parking and easy access to the beach.

Review 16:Took some time to clear used plates from table and also to offer tea at breakfast.

Review 17:Location was convenient. Staff polite, efficient and very helpful with a "can do" attitude. Dealt very effectively with complaint about building work directly in front of our balcony. Moved us to a larger sea view room at the earliest opportunity. Juan and Isabelle on reception/ customer services were excellent in the customer care they provided.

Review 18:The hotel gives the impression it near estepona in fact it is more than 2 miles to town.To eat in is expensive 24euros each. The staff are miserable and unhelpful.Did not like one thing about this place

Review 19:The day we packed our suitcase and left.

Review 20:No iron in the rooms, wifi awkward as you had to go to get a password from reception each day, food not great, had to pay for use of parking and safe. All minor things but added up to being annoying.

Review 21:Clean, nice view from room, very generous breakfast buffet.

Review 22:Not good for parking. At the time of our visit building site at one side of hotel.

Review 23:Lovely room and good location. Impressive pool and seating area. Good breakfast choice.

Review 24:Privilege Lounge was poor. It was a room, where one felt "outkast" . In this room, one was not allowed to leave with a drink and enjoy the terrace. not even with a coffee. Food in hotel was horrible!

Review 25:Only slight downside was that the beach was a mixture of shingle and sand, but this was more than compensated for by all the positives.

Review 26:Room, pool, and evening entertainment all excellent. Food a bit predictable, but good quality. Spaciousness and ambience of communal areas excellent.

Review 27:Poor facilities, could not get a drink of water when vending machines not working when bars closed. Poor service - help yourself attitude Room was very poor - booked a family room for 2 adults so there was EXTRA room and it was appalling Air conditioning wasn't working Would have asked for our money back if we thought the staff would have done anything about the room but as the attitude was poor - just knew it wouldn't happen

Review 28:The area it was in

Review 29:The extra costs, for example having to pay a daily charge to use the safe. Having to put a deposit down to use the each beach towels. No cutlery, plates, glasses etc every time we used the restaurant for breakfast. Birds flying in and out which wasn't nice considering I have a phobia of birds.

Review 30:Staff were very friendly and willing to help! Ordered room services at 4am and they delivered! Checked out at 12 next day and was able to leave bags in car and use all facilities all day very good.

Review 31:Cold pool. Deposits for everything even beach towels. One guy in the reception is roud. Food in the trace by the pool is not good.

Review 32:The beach. The town. The food.

Review 33:Bar staff miserable, entertainment staff lifeless , food could be repetitive

Review 34:Nice pool area, nice clean beds and towels changed daily, reception staff and security spot on always helpful food ok

Review 35:Hotel had a 'retirement home' feel to it. As a couple in our early 50 s we were the youngest by quite a margin. Hotel severely lacked ambiance in restaurant and bar. In addition, pricing for their dinner buffet very expensive for spanish standards. We felt sorry for many of thecolder folks, who weren't as able as others to venture out. First room assigned was ovelooking a construction site next door with heavy noise all day long. Initially no room change granted and only after setting cancellation in motion for our second night via booking.com was a room change granted.

Review 36:The second room we wrer given, overlooking the pool.

Review 37:The evening entertainment was extremely below par. We only stayed 6 nights and we had the same very bad male and female entertainment repeated. Not good at all.

Review 38:The food was amazing. The hotel was very well presented at all times. Extremely clean. We were able to totally relax which is what we came for.

Review 39:We went there for a wedding which was booked 10 month in advance.we paid for a room with sea view we was given a room where you was looking through the tree's.a married couple couple with two single bed.then was told you were upgraded to a bigger room.when we went to reception to complain the man at reception was very rude keep repeating his self he was like a jam record.he had no customer service experience. It was also our wedding anniversary during our stay there. I would never ever stay at this ever again. One bad experience is enough.there is better hotel not far from there.

Review 40:It was within walking distanceto the town centre.

Review 41:A party of sreaming men and women till 2:30am should of been stopped by the hotel staff, they were not kids, mature adults acting like wild animals ruined it for everyone facing the pool area. No need for it

Review 42:Everthing about the hotel

Review 43:Building work taking place on plot of land next door to hotel which greatly impacts on one side of the hotel and we were unfortunate to find we had a room overlooking this, work starts at 7am! After requests to move we were put on a list and moved 2 days into our 6 night stay. The new room was great, wonderful views on a high floor away from all the noise.

Review 44:Lovely looking hotel, friendly staff, nice location. Booked an all inclusive stay, food was nice always fresh with good variety for a 6 night stay.

Review 45:Didn't like the buffet. Would have preferred a quite restaurant. Glad we only booked bed and breakfast. But didn't really matter because had some lovely meals in the Marina area Of tthe town.

Review 46:The beach beside the hotel.

Review 47:There was building work going on next door which woke us up at 7 am every day but hey I suppose you could not allow for that!

Review 48:We were a family of 7 and we were looked after regarding the Nan and Grandfather.

Review 49:Our friends were put on other side of hotel where there was lots of building work, had to complain and they got moved. Hotel a good 20 minute walk from marina and a ten min taxi ride from main centre.

Review 50:Room was fab for us, sea and pool view. Comfy pillows even though hard bed. Fab breakfast and served til 10.30.

Review 51:Building site next door, music too loud in the day time by pool, pool did not open till 10. You could not get a sun bed on beach or by pool unless you put a towel on one at 7am! The food was not good and sometimes awful. Unfriendly staff. Inappropriate music used by entertainments team for children's show - i.e. Benny Hill theme music! The hotel was tired, my shower fell off wall the first time I used it, the tiles on floor were chipped in bedroom and on walls in restaurants. The paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings.

Review 52:Checking out.

Review 53:The entertainment is poor and aimed at Spanish guests . The beach !! Yuk !

Review 54:Spotlessly clean rooms are large and have sea views. Staff are really well trained and a credit to the hotel.

Review 55:Pool opens 11am and shuts 7pm#rediculousits36C Not enough space at pool for people No conscierge - so if you want anything from reception you have to wait behind a long que of people checking in - sort it out

Review 56:I booked hotel 9 months before arrival and asked for room at the upper store, I received next to reception desk. I have doubts if someone reads such requests

Review 57:great swimming pool, fantastic breakfast and dinners, comfortable room

Review 58:Unable to get sun beds due to them been reserved with guests towels, and not enough shade around the pool.

Review 59:Modern contemporary design and lovely large pool area with access to rocky beach.

Review 60:The pool food was poor, couldnt even eat it as it was that bad. There was building work directly outside my hotel room balcony, works were carried out at 7.30am, the hotel was fully booked and was unable to offer another room. Location was not the best and there was no supermarket within walking distance.

Review 61:Good Breakfast, clean and comfortable spacious rooms. Good hairdressers and spa.

Review 62:Very crowded around and in the pool . Area nit big enough to take care of all guests. Many charter guests also in restaurant. Food ok.

Review 63:The room was fantastic with a magnificient view and awesome balcony. The reception staff great

Review 64:Didn't like having to get up at 7 to reserve a sun bed. Why do you still allow this to happen? Also didn't like having to pay for the safe in the room and parking!

Review 65:Room was fantastic with a great balcony!

Review 66:I was disappointed there was the view of a crane outside the balcony window and the bed was uncomfortable, most of the sun beds had towels with people not on the sun bed ,so there wasn't many sun beds left.

Review 67:I thought there was quick and friendly service and enjoyed the entertainment available.

Review 68:Staff were non attentive at reception, had to wait in looooong lines to check in and check out, and waited 15 minutes to get a pool towel - ridiculous! Wifi reception was also very poor.

Review 69:Breakfast buffet was amazing, location and cleanliness was great, beautiful hotel and rooms!

Review 70:We stayed for 4 nights at the end of our vacation. This resort was perfect place to relax. The beach is beautiful and right outside the hotel. We have no problem finding a lounger to sit in. You can walk a long ways down each way on the beach and a great view of Gibraltar. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and gave us lots of ideas of good restaurants in the area and things to do. The swimming pools closed very early in the day and there not much for nightlife but the beautiful resort makes up for it.

Review 71:I was a "privilege" guest, and was delighted with the private sun- bed area. Very pleasant room, spacious sun terrace, with great views. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 72:Well signposted hotel, luxurious bed, very good selection of food & drink (all inclusive was a great decision), good evening entertainment, close to many lovely towns and villages (car made all the difference)

Review 73:room 472 6ft square small balcony with no sun our view was a building site with diggers and rollers out at 8 a.m. hotel over-rated and over-priced

Review 74:Comfy beds spotlessly clean very nice staff

Review 75:Staff very unhelpful. Room was average on ground floor, balcony was dark and overlooked eating area by pool. We asked to move and shown 2 other standard rooms....which were even more inadequate. We were then shown an upgraded room at cost of an extra€200 to our stay. The rooms were large but again balcony was dark. We stayed overnight and had breakfast, food was ok but too many guests and not enough staff. We decided to leave and after lengthy negotiation with PR Manager/head office, they agreed to refund 9nights that we had paid in advance. Still awaiting payment to my account 14 days later. Booking.com were very helpful and we found the most amazing Boutique hotel on the website.

Review 76:Beautiful beach location

Review 77:Paid for two nights non-refundable but left after the first night. Beds uncomfortable, décor a strange mix of 80's to 00's. Hotel lacked atmosphere. Mini-bar empty and unplugged, air-con didn't work, building site for sea view room, refused to serve us coffee at breakfast because after queuing at buffet it was past ten-thirty when we sat at the table.

Review 78:Nothing.

Review 79:The bar staff/food servers where not the friendliest of people and I felt like I was a burden to them but all other staff members where fine especially room cleaners who done a fantastic job and where very pleasant. Bar menu was a bit tasteless.

Review 80:The complex was very spacious, comfortable and well kept. Breakfast selection was impressive and very tasty! Beautiful ocean view.

Review 81:What was there not to like? Your hotel is top class and is a credit to your staff...

Review 82:The beautiful views from my room. The spacious bedroom - fantastic breakfasts and the evening buffet was superb

Review 83:Weather was very poor which didn't help overall experience. Didnt like having to pay to use room safe

Review 84:Breakfast was very good and room was comfortable and clean

Review 85:none

Review 86:It is a spacious hotel with marble floors. The pool área is delightful and it is directly on the beach. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The restaurant delivers a diversity of food that is well presented and there is a chef ready to cook meat and fish to your individual taste. Our bedroom was a good size with a balcony and a side sea view. When we made our booking we informed the hotel about our anniversary and in our room there was a bottle of good quality cava and 2 cava glasses and also a greeting card from the management. The bed was big and comfortable . We chose the all inclusive option we think it is good value. We will be returning for our next anniversary.

Review 87:Seating arrangements at breakfast not very efficient.

Review 88:Room was large, airy and clean. Bar staff friendly and efficient. Pool area clean and inviting.

Review 89:When we checked into the hotel we were given a room at the far end of the hotel, when we opened the patio door, we were surprised to see we were directly above a building site, where heavy construction machinery was in use. We asked to move rooms before we unpacked but were told the hotel was full and the only room they could offer would be a disabled room the next day. I explained that I worked for a construction equipment manufacturer and saw these machines every day, I did not wish to see and hear this on holiday ! The hotel did not appear busy at all, but we accepted the offer to move to a disabled room which was not as nice as the previous room, but at least we did not have any noise. It seems that because we booked with booking.com, (value deal) we were treat differently, as I am sure they could have given us another room quite easily but chose to put us in a disabled persons room.

Review 90:The hotel was very nice and had good facilities, right on a small beach. The location was on the outskirts of Estepona, about 20 mins walk into the marina.

Review 91:The view from balcony straight to building site, noise starting 8am until 7 pm, on reseption wouldn't change our room. Rooms have no iron, slippers or bathrobe

Review 92:Complimentary wine on reseption, friendly staff, very good room cleaning service

Review 93:Other than the fresh food for the grill the selection of dishes was limited

Review 94:Large terrace... nice pool area and sunbeds.. friendly staff... good quality grilled food

Review 95:Nothing at all to do with the hotel but as there are a number of golf courses around there were a lot of golfing groups there - not a problem per se, but the noise level increased as the evening progressed usually into the early hours of the morning which was a disturbance as our room was directly above the bar terrace.

Review 96:The staff were all incredibly polite and efficient - from the ladies who cleaned our room to the reception staff.

Review 97:This is the first time I haven't wanted to steal the towels and robes! They were so rough and old!

Review 98:I loved the location of this hotel as it wasn't in the hustle & bustle of Marbella.

Review 99:Booked 3 rooms with double beds, all 3 were twins, have been told there are no doubles at all at this hotel,if knew wouldn't book.Isabel at the reception is out of touch, for 2 days tried to find out why there are 1 toothbrush in every room to be used between 2 people, finally have been told that here in Spain they use their own.If not poor staff hotel would be perfect.

Review 100:Didn't like - No kettle in the room Limited snacks in the bar Slippy bath due to awkward configuration

Review 101:Liked - Room size Balcony Sea view Space Value for money

Review 102:no alcohol served in restaurant, no coffee served in poolside restaurant!, no tea / coffee in room, wifi continually dropping line requiring laborious log in procedure often, loud music played in pool area. breakfast organised chaos, couldn't be bothered on the second morning.

Review 103:very helpful and pleasant staff, very nice room.

Review 104:spa treatments did not include use of the relaxation area/pool. no english (exclude news) TV or movies etc and as we had rain for the entire week little distraction.

Review 105:comfortable hotel

Review 106:Room was basic and dated. Poor layout. For the star rating of the property the room fell well below. Although the Hotel displays pictures of an indoor pool facility - it is a Spa and an additional cost for hotel members to use - not acceptable as a paying guest.

Review 107:Breakfast was good with a wide variety

Review 108:Pool was closed The kids club and disco was below average No air conditioning

Review 109:The breakfast and dinner choices were excellent. The hotel was very clean and staff lovely. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, is not that close to anything, if walking with small children

Review 110:It was a great experience, but the beds were too firm for our liking.

Review 111:We wanted a quiet area, away from the city, but close to all the sights. It was perfect for this. Lots of activities for kids. We attended the paella cooking demonstration which was wonderful!

Review 112:Very noisy main restaurant. Food could have been better particularly in the evenings. Chefs worked hard but should have had help.

Review 113:Privelege sun deck and room.

Review 114:The public areas are in need of a "lick-of-paint" not the lobby but the entertainment area and also the breakfast/main dining room. Bathrooms are also not as modern as you would expect in a 4* hotel. The service at the front desk is very good when you get to the front - there is more often than not a large queue at peak times

Review 115:Location, outdoor areas, direct beach access, SPA (although not included but very nice), great breakfast spread

Review 116:Ths staff always cheerful and helpful the hotel - in itself is excellent and the amenities are all vey good, including the Spa . Food is excellent with a wide choice, in fact a lovely spot to spend a holiday if you want to enjoy pool bathing and the sea which is easy to access. .

Review 117:Very poor car parking facilities outside and did not like the suggestion of having to pay for underground when the hotel is quite expensive. I am back in Spain after a few weeks and trying a different hotel. Long waiting times in the evening at the bar. Not good!!

Review 118:Very clean, good facilities, good geographical position for our needs being near Estepona.

Review 119:Bad Wifi, was so slow that was nearly impossible to use

Review 120:Breakfast and lunch/dinner were totally OK for an all inclusive facility. Good variety of meals through our 5 nights stay. Outside facilities were good too. Beach not good though but knew that when we chose this hotel.

Review 121:The SPA is a disapointment compared to other SPA's in costa del sol. The initial "dream showers" are way to complicated to use and hardly works. The jet-stations in the pool that is supposed to "massage" parts of your body is just plain to weak. The foot bath is nice, but why not offer any salt to put into the bath? The deep tissue massage is ok, but could be better. Feel it was a bit to unprofessinonal .

Review 122:The hotel was just amazing!

Review 123:Breakfast was very nice. But evening meal can better.

Review 124:Every one was very nice . People on tthe reception were very kind and very helpfull. A nice hotel to relax.

Review 125:We've been here a couple of times off-season and love it. The breakfasts are tasty, varied and plentiful, the spa is lovely and the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Weekends are livelier (which I prefer) as European weekenders, as opposed to 'snowbirds', descend.

Review 126:Beds somewhat hard and springy. Had to ask for change of room as the first one was on ground floor and rather hidden. Second room was excellent with nice view on 5th floor.

Review 127:Spa facilities were very good Restaurant very good standard - food varied and of a high standard. Staff very helpful. Rooms spacious and of a high standard.

Review 128:Paid extra for the spa, but couldn't use it as it was fully booked, also the afternoon bar staff were terrible.

Review 129:Bar staff in the evening were excellent, the view was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and room was quiet.

Review 130:The towels looked gray. They were very old, hard and extremely scatchy. Parking in front of the hotel was very challenging. Common areas were very noisy.

Review 131:Nice sea view, comfortable bed, well equipped spa.

Review 132:There was always a line of people at Front Desk - they need more help up there. The WiFi was free but complicated codes - kept getting kicked out. Extra charges for the bathrobes - should be included in room price. The spa was nice but some of the features were not working - disappointing. Also had to sign up for the spa and wait in line again....

Review 133:The location in Estepona and by the beach was great. Enrique at the front desk was super kind and helpful (as were all the staff)! It was also very clean and spacious. Outside pools were lovely. The bar and drinks area was good. Breakfast was lovely and complete.

Review 134:We were staying one night for a spa day. The check in guy was surly and unhelpful. The mini bar was empty and when tried to phone down to reception, it was permanently engaged. Wanted to order a room service meal, the phone permanently engaged. The air conditioning was stuck on hot and when I tried to phone, it was permanently engaged. We ordered pizza from a local company in the end. When I was in reception to collect it, there were no customers at the desk nor any staff on the phone. I don't know why the line was always busy.

Review 135:The mini bar in our room was empty, not a big deal as i am not one to use that service.

Review 136:Excellent service, staff was really kind and helpfull when ever we needed their assitance.

Review 137:Dining experience [breakfast and dinner] was somewhat affected by large numbers of football teams descending en masse at meal times and consequential effect on food available until replenished!

Review 138:Comfortable and convenient for our break from Gibraltar. Staff helpful and friendly. Appreciated wifi facilities although sometimes slow.
