Reviews for Pensión La Estación
Review 1:Very nice and friendly staff and you couldn't possibly get better value for money. The room was impeccable and so was the bathroom. Wifi was working superbe. I couldn't possibly recommend this place more!!
Review 2:When our baggage transfer service got messed up, the owners went the extra mile and brought our luggage to us in the next town. They were gracious and kind about the whole problem.
Review 3:This is an unmarked apartment in an unmarked buildng by the bus station. You have to collect the key from a bar. There is no reception, no staff, no comfort, no WiFi. It is a long way off the Camino.
Review 4:Leaving!
Review 5:The wifi did not work at all (I'm not sure it was even switched on). The room was very cold, no heating, I couldn't turn it on anywhere. There is no staff in the apartment, you have to get the key in the nearby bar, which is fine. But you also have to give it back there in the morning. The guy said he would open at 8 am... 8.10 still lock on the bar, nobody around... I had to bring the key back to the apartment and leave it there. If you are on the camino, it is a 10 minutes walk from the way. I don't recommend it.

Review 7:Thin walls and noisy neighbors.
Review 8:Very nice high tech bathroom.
Review 9:Noise level
Review 10:Convenience
Review 11:location - we took bus from Santiago to Lugo and onto Sarria to begin the camino walk, so this accommodation is a good starting point.
Review 12:The guy on reception was very friendly and helpful
Review 13:You'd be better off staying up by all the albergues where the restaurants etc are. There was no way of getting in when I arrived - I pressed the level 3 buzzer but no-one was there. I eventually got help from a local pub owner and someone on another floor of the building but it was very difficult to get into. There was also no hot water and it was a really cold day - I was dying for a warm shower but it was ice cold. I would never go back here.
Review 14:Right next to bus station.
Review 15:Things advertised did not exist - wifi, ability to pay by credit card, check in at bar next door (there was not a bar next door). The woman sent to check us in was nice but it seemed to be her first time
Review 16:Clean and large
Review 17:Advised wifi available but it is not available till July. ( summer).
Review 18:Place was easy to find. Staff very helpful. He organised the transport of our luggage & gave us good local info.. Very large room.
Review 19:The wifi was not in all areas as advertised but there was a computer on the landing. I had wanted to use certain apps on my kindle fire but was unable. Staff difficult to locate. You need a mobile to phone to let you in at first. The hotel is not clearly signed but has a small printed sign by door. I had just arrived in Spain for my first day ever and was a little confused. I found a helpful senor in a cafe nearby.
Review 20:The female staff member was very friendly and helpful. It was next to the bus station. A catholic church was round the corner. It is very close to el Camino de Santiago.
Review 21:The signage is very poor, took an hour of walking around in the rain to actually find the place - had to phone the proprietor to come and let us in - a further 15 minute wait with no shelter. Write up on booking.com inaccurate - stated wifi in rooms which was a complete lie. No wifi at all. Would not recommend!
Review 22:It provided shelter.
Review 23:This is a floor in an apartment block not a hotel. 2 person lift is only means of access and no fire escape provided. Building is poorly signposted. Had problem checking in as proprietor was not on site.
Review 24:Convenient to bus stop for people doing Camino
Review 25:We went in March and the flat was being refurnished, something they did not tell us in advance. As a result the shower was cold, and the flat and room felt generally freezing. The kitchen was being refurnished too so we couldnt use it, same as common rooms.
Review 26:The room was big and facilities were very very clean, with clean towels and sheets. Right next to the bus station and to the start of the "Camino de Santiago"
Review 27:Location it was a bit out from main street...however right beside bus station.
Review 28:Price.. quiet at night..
Review 29:The rooms did not seem finished yet. Entering the hostal was a bit unclear. We had to call the owner to clear things up.
Review 30:Friendly owner.
Review 31:all good
Review 32:road rumors-shared bathroom for many rooms-no towels-
Review 33:polite personnell.
Review 34:Clean and good location beside the bus station.
