Reviews for La Posada del Angel

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Perfect stay. The owners Tom and Helga are so kind and helpful. Alltough the "Caminito del Rey" was fully booked out, they even organised tickets...overwhelming. Thank u so much. Try the handmade lemon and orange marmelade...simply heaven.

Review 3:hidden costs! The breakfast is not including everything. you have to pay extra for eggs, muesli and others things. The coffee tabs in the room are also with an extra charge but there is any sign or information about that. If you borrow a towel for the beach its 7,50 charge and the stuff is dont say it to you. At the check out you wonder about all the extra costs. For that room price you expect to have at least a free coffee tabs in your room (one cost 30 cents but they charge 1,5 €) or be informed about that in advance.

Review 4:very nice house and the patio is teriffic

Review 5:It's not possible to go there by car until the entrance - but they have a little shuttle coming. We didn't know and walked the way.

Review 6:Amazing place, friendly people and all very unique

Review 7:Nothing! You won't find a better hotel in Andalusia!

Review 8:It is rare when a hotel looks so much better in real life than in the photographs. We were stunned how amazing La Posada del Angel is. The rooms are charming, the rooftop terrace is perfect and the pool is brilliant. Wish we had stayed for more days! Definitely coming back!

Review 9:This hotel really was a treat! Hidden in the delightful tiny streets of Ojen, it was the perfect place to be based. Both for exploring the town and nearby, and even just to relax in the hotel. Ton and his staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Would definitely go back and recommend to my friends.

Review 10:Although many TV channels available also Dutch ones, no CNN.

Review 11:The fact that we were picked up at the general parking place below the village and brought back and the end of our stay. Nespresso coffee machine available.

Review 12:nothing to mention

Review 13:Tasteful decor, wonderful plants, beautiful relaxing room. Super relaxing roof terrace and lovely swimming pool with honesty bar and the breakfasts...delicious.

Review 14:Sitting having breakfast in a typically Spanish courtyard, under a abundantly fruiting lemon tree, while listening to the soothing sound of the trickling water of the water feature nearby.

Review 15:The bedrooms are beautiful and the hotel has a lovely central courtyard with lemon tree and water feature where a breakfast, consisting of fresh and homemade produce, is served. The Dutch owners/staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. For example, they were only too happy to assist in finding bus times and in planning our day trip to nearby Marbella with recommendations of good restaurants etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 16:Most was excellent. Being supercritical - Limited terrace space, only roof top views and pre pack jam!

Review 17:great owner presence and help, honesty bar semi indoor pool design and homely feel

Review 19:Nothing, it was all lovely.Character hote

Review 20:The character of the hotel was amazing, as was our room. As the hotel was in the middle of a steep village with very narrow roads we were collected from the car park at the bottom of the village in a golf type buggy, which did an great job. Breakfast was in an enclosed courtyard surrounded by plants and fabulous lemon tree. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Review 21:A beautiful hotel set around a central courtyard. We stayed in the winter but it must be wonderful to sit outside in Spring/Summer and soak up the atmosphere. The staff are helpful, breakfast is delicious and I really managed to relax and not worry about anything over the weekend. To be repeated!

Review 22:A very charming "posada" in the center of the white small mountain village. Luggage service with electric "golf"car. Good information and maps for our hiking. We did a fantastic walking in the Sierra Blanca. Excellent breakfast.

Review 23:I could not find any English Radio or TV but this could also be viewed as a plus!

Review 24:The village of Ojen was very Spanish, which was wonderful and the setting was outstanding. The views were gorgeous and the locals were very welcoming. Everyone at La Posada del Angel couldn't have been more helpful. A car would be an advantage if you wanted to see more of the area but the local taxi firm were excellent.

Review 25:that we could not stay longer

Review 26:Helga and Tom are the perfect landlords and the hotel consisting of 5 Spanish houses are extremely beautiful and typical spanish

Review 27:Rooms could be bigger and cooler, but it was quite fine anyway.

Review 28:The friendliness of the staff, the rural concept of the hotel and the indoors pool. Breakfast was simple but excellent.

Review 29:It is a small hotel located in the beautiful old Andalusian village, very quite and picturesque. Highly recommended especially for those who prefer traveling by car (it is approximately 6 km from Marbella, free parking is available).

Review 30:Unique property with charm. Excellent staff. Loved internal courtyard and very good breakfast.

Review 31:Hotel set in a quiet Spanish village away from the busy tourist areas.

Review 32:We loved everything about this place - it's PERFECT!

Review 42:NOTHING

Review 43:Everything , more than we expected.

Review 44:Gorgeous hotel and run by excellent and passionate hoteliers who go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Review 45:We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Posada del Angel. The hotel is located in the centre of a charming and very quiet small hill town north of Marbella, with good access to both the sea and the mountains. The hosts and the staff were extremely welcoming and always ready to provide very good advice about the places to see and things to do. The hotel itself combines very tastefully the charm of an Andalusian home with the comfort of modern facilities. The place is spotlessly clean and everything works as it should. It is obvious that a lot of work and passion goes into maintaining this hotel, with attention for every detail. The bed was great, the bathroom well functioning and very clean, the air-conditioning working well, the breakfast very good, the hotel very quiet at night. Well done, one of the best hotels I've stayed in! Minor point of attention: the wifi is not always working, but since we were on holidays, we actually enjoyed being "un-plugged" for a few days.

Review 46:Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious and plentiful breakfast - I got as well delicious glutein free bread every Morning which made me very happy - beautiful and cosy decoration, lovely peacefulness, perfect location in the middle of the village of Ojén full of original Spanish atmosphere. Thank you!

Review 47:Leave the traffic and crowds of the Costa del Sol behind, and transport yourself to a place frozen in time. Explore the town and Ojen's caves, it will not disappoint! Tom and Helga are wonderful hosts.

Review 48:This was a lovely find in the centre of the charming village of Ojen. The hotel staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming and happy to provide recommendations for places to visit to help us make the most of our stay. Great facilities such as the outdoor terrace, a very nice area to relax and enjoy the sun. Delicious breakfast too. Can't wait to go back!

Review 49:No complaints. Would love to return.

Review 50:The location in a picturesque village just far enough away from the overcrowded but lively Costa del Sol. The nature and hiking in this region are wonderful and the owners of La Posada are familiar with the many trails. There is a lovely inner court and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The multilingual owners are very approachable and helpful.

Review 51:Because we visited out of season, the town seemed quiet and there weren't many options for places to eat. So, maybe if the hotel offered something in the evening (a simple platter option) that would have been great. Only a small detail though!

Review 52:Our room was beautiful - decorated very imaginatively and also very quaint, cosy and traditional. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The honesty bar is a great idea and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Review 53:Nothing really

Review 54:Lovely place, and very novel being picked up from the car park in a buggy. Understandable as there is no way you could drive direct to the hotel. Fabulous breakfast and all the facilities were superb especially the pool.

Review 55:Just stayed for one night before we booked into a villa next day. Ojen is a really, pretty, lovely village, small but quite buzzing. Couple who were managing the hotel were covering for the owners while they were away on holiday. They couldn't have been nicer - nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend the hotel. Quaint, quirky, with a morrocan feel. All the family loved it ... even our two 14 year old girls!!!

Review 56:Nothing!

Review 57:Really friendly and helpful staff. Calm and relaxing atmosphere, simple delicious food for breakfast - excellent fresh bread, coffee and orange juice. Good base to explore local town and Marbella. Quiet, peaceful patio for chilled wine from the honesty bar. A perfect hideaway.

Review 58:Limited local dining options once fed up with tapas Nowhere to lie sunbathing

Review 59:Friendly helpful owners Lovely courtyard and small pool Typical Spanish village Wifi in room

Review 60:Rooms are located around the patio, it can be a bit noisy for example during breakfast which is served there. Also we heard the music playing at the reception in our room.

Review 61:Friendly Dutch staff, the owner can tell a lot about the area and can give you advice about places worth visiting. Ojen is a lovely village, restaurants and shops are close by.

Review 62:Nothing.

Review 63:We loved this hotel for its location in a beautiful unspoilt Andalucian village which is till easily accessible for the beach. The owners are wonderful, the breakfast excellent and the beds very comortable. Everything perfect.

Review 64:Limited local restaurants Limited breakfast choice (but the breakfast was good)

Review 65:Location Conversion from 6 traditional houses Courtyard Friendliness Comfort Honesty bar Lemon tree Plants Peace and Quiet

Review 68:No negative points.

Review 69:Beautiful traditional hotel in the centre of the village. Spacious comfortable room. Good breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 70:I loved the comfort and decoration, it's very private, great for relaxing and take some time to sleep and disconect from everything. The room was really spacious and clean. We had TV with lots of channels, a desk, wi-fi, coffe and tea. Staff is really friendly and breakfast was perfect.

Review 76:A bit pricy for what it is

Review 77:We liked the charm & ambience of this little B&B. The hosts were very hospitable. Our own terrace was an added bonus.

Review 78:A truely small Spanish hotel in a delightful 'white' Andalucianvillage. A warm welcome and a very comfortable room

Review 79:Some noise that echoes from the patio when people are around at night.

Review 80:Very friendly and cozy. Nice patio were you can eat breakfast and relax.

Review 81:No safe

Review 82:This hotel is homely, friendly, clean and quirky, in a nice way.

Review 83:very nice room, with a personal touch, very private and yet very personal service. A home away from home feeling.

Review 84:Nothning

Review 85:Location and hospitality
