Reviews for Chambres à La Ferme

Review 1:The single bed wasn't very comfortable. The room was cramped and the floor creaky. Wifi was down.

Review 2:The homemade breakfast in the beautiful glassed veranda was fabulous, as was watching the ewes being milked in a high-tech parlour. From the fields you can see the famous viaduct. Quiet area above the city. Family-run, very friendly and interesting people. Very clean, which must be a challenge for a barnyard! Even though the barn is very close to the house (by NA standards), we couldn't detect odours in the room. Excellent value for money.

Review 3:No reception on arrival.Had to wander around and wait some time for attention Non English speaking reception. The room was an attic type with only a skylight for ventilation and the en-suite facility was very cramped. The breakfast while accepting it was a continental standard was very poor quality

Review 4:A quiet location and comfortable bed for a tired traveller

Review 5:I can't think of anything bad that cannot be explained by the fact that it was a bedroom at a farm, like a few flies. We only stayed one night, and it was all fine. Very well located to see the Viaduc de Millau.

Review 6:This was REALLY a working farm, I could watch people work, milking the ewes, taking the animals to the pasture. It was fun. Breakfast was made up of authentic items from the area, including roquefort.

Review 7:Scraping sheep dung off of my shoes after touring the barns

Review 8:A real sheep farm and the staff were happy to explain the workings of the farm to you in French. Very friendly staff willing to go to town and buy you some beer. Also, the restaurant was terrific with great food and very reasonable pricing.

Review 9:Breakfast was mediocre, in an uninspiring breakfast room.

Review 10:Quiet, country setting. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Even had a view of the Millau viaduct, but had to get on a chair and take a picture through the dormer.

Review 11:Room was cramped, beds were very old & very uncomfortable squeaky mattresses. Very small bathroom with old half bath & hand held shower.

Review 12:Location was good & easy to find

Review 13:As a working Farm, there were a lot of flies! Bought some fly spray in Millau, that kept our room clear!

Review 14:Quiet, convenience, breakfast included. Good value.

Review 15:You must like the smell of 1000 goats and to sit with same table as the other guests and don't need shampoo I think you can live with it.

Review 16:Room was ok, but no cleaning and no shampoo. Good to find and a good place to start your trip.

Review 17:Too many flies. This is a sheep farm and one should expect flies. The Windows have no screens. There are flies everywhere. l Windows have numerous fly spots. Cleaning the fly spots and nstalling at least a few screens would make this a perfect CHAMBRE d'Note.

Review 18:Friendly staff. Good location. NICE Auberge restaurant.

Review 19:It's a goat farm with all that goes with it...

Review 20:Easy to find and excellent parking. Room was very good, clean and good size Very friendly host... a 5 min car trip to the centre of Millau and 10 mins to the viaduct centre. Beautiful scenery

Review 21:Beautiful location with fantastic views over the town. Friendly dogs to show you around the farm.

Review 22:the beds were really terrible

Review 23:Room was very hot and the bathroom was a little on the small side.

Review 24:Quirky accommodation in a beautiful location. Lovely breakfast

Review 25:Flies all over the breakfast. Should have covers over the food. Poured the orange juice and got juice complete with fly.

Review 26:Rural

Review 27:Smallest bath I have ever seen, unusable for me. Thin walls, loud snoring from other rooms.

Review 28:Good breakfast and free WiFi. Low price.

Review 29:Flies, Flies and more Flies. Couldn't eat breakfast because it was all covered in flies.

Review 30:Location

Review 31:Swarming with flies. Breakfast VERY poor

Review 32:Nothing in particular

Review 33:Flies, however not as bad as expected due to it being on a working farm

Review 34:Accommodation and location. Neighbouring restaurant was excellent

Review 35:nowhere to hang clothes, shower head but nothing to hook it onto the wall

Review 36:good location

Review 37:Few electric plugs, no minibar, poor internet connection in the rooms, collective breakfast table with insufficient serving devices.

Review 38:Lots of flies from the farm, but no flyspray. Big shame not to have awindow, only a velux in the roof, No hot water due to a problem with thesystem, but no discount offered.

Review 39:Beautiful breakfast

Review 40:There were 36 steps up to our room - 28 of them external - lucky it wasn't raining. I had difficulty carrying my things up & down. The room - basically an attic - had a window in the roof which meant that one could not look out. Neither could I stand upright in the bathroom to shave. Only half a bath. This is a working farm and the room was full of flies - so was the restaurant (though the food was lovely). Breakfast disappointing. No plates - had to spread our bread & jam on the serviettes. No meats or cheese as usual in french breakfasts.

Review 41:Owner helpful as we arrived early. Meal in the adjoining restaurant was very good - except for the flies. Millau itself is great - boat trip including rapids - travel through the Gorge - Caves to visit.

Review 42:It was very hot when we stayed there so had the window open during the night, inviting in some flies. We wouldn't expect air con at the price we paid but a fly screen would have been good.

Review 43:We travelled to Millau just to see the bridge on our route to Haute Alpes so didn't want to visit the town. The farm was ideally situated just off the motorway that goes over the bridge but far enough away not to hear it. From the grounds you can sit and look out over Millau below. The room was clean and comfortable and good value for money. (tip for Millau bridge - the exposition and film about construction is in the rest area before you go over the bridge).

Review 44:the owners made you very welcome, very spacious room, comfortable bed, clean, great bathroom, plenty of hot water, all the good things you need when travelling. the breakfast was excellent. situated just outside of Mallau. good for the viaduct, the gorges, the cheeses. we were here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time.

Review 45:Mould in bedroom/bathroom. Every area dirty, including eating area. No hair dryer. Soap rationed on a daily basis. Mismatched furniture very old. Not a standard that is acceptable in 2013.

Review 46:Close to Millau.

Review 47:The bath was tiny. The shower curtain was on a sloping pole over thetiny bath. Breakfast was minamal, cake, stale bread, tinned fruit &some home made jam. Given that this was on a farm I expected some freshproduce eggs for example but no. Read the room discription carefullydont expext to be wowed. Sorry I speak as I see.

Review 48:35 steps to reach the bedroom

Review 49:The owner don't get credit )-:

Review 50:No heating in the room, nor in the verandah/conservatory where we had breakfast.

Review 51:Quiet. Convenient to Millau Viaduct, the purpose of our visit.
