Reviews for Hotel Restaurant L'Etape
Review 1:Dull and dingy room and was charged extra (I knew to expect the chargein advance) to allegedly park my motorbike securely outside !!!
Review 2:Receptionist was pleasant and helpful.
Review 3:walls are a bit thin, snoring in next room disturbed me
Review 4:room size. shower. attention to detail. window shutters. comfortable double bed. spotlessly clean.
Review 5:Everything about this lovely French town. The Millau Viaduc is an amazing structure, the tourist info staff were helpful, had a lovely dinner of fruit de mer, highlighted by the moule frite.
Review 6:Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable, there was no hot water supply to the sink in the room and the shared shower, did not have a sink, making it difficult to shave. Cold water shave :-( , they had painted over old wall paper etc, giving a very cheap and rough appearance. Not good value for money.
Review 7:The hotel was in a convenient location in one of the main streets of Millau, close to a supermarket and the town centre.
Review 8:Needs total update although some rooms are already finished. No private car parking- only outside some shops across street.
Review 9:Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 10:For the same price in the UK, we could have had a pretty good premier inn type room, but in France budget means budget! The room had a cold feeling, the flush button fell out of the wall, and the shower head had nothing to stand on. The other room we booked was extremely outdated and the bathroom had no door. The owner wasn't to friendly either. Will not be staying again!
Review 11:The price.
Review 12:-On central road, if you have a room in the front, you hear the traffic and it might keep you up. -Dinner is expensive, there are a ton of dinner places in the centre not 2 minutes away by car. -Very basic
Review 13:-Cheap -Clean -On central road -Coffee -supermarket that open at 8:30 across the road with fresh bread and meat and cheese sections.
Review 14:No welcome. Basically a 1 star bare room at 5 star price. Bedding crumpled looked like they had been slept in. No bed side tables or chairs in room. Half the lights did not have bulbs in. Pillows really un comfortable. Cheap rough duvet covers. Towels rough and crisp. Shower head would not fit in holder. Need I go on.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:If you are a light sleeper do not get a room on the front side of the hotel. It is a busy street. The showers were cold, but it was a temporary problem (they say). Restaurant really expensive.
Review 17:The town of Millau is amazing It is clean and is what you need it to be. The beds were okay, if you get an extra bed put in, its cheap, but a camper bed for someone smaller than 1,65m. Supermarket across the street opens at 8:30 with fresh bread etc. The staff was helpful and we could make ourselves understood with limited French and coffee was acceptable.
Review 18:My room must have been newly renovated as everything was very clean and new. The pillows and duvet were big and fluffy and had a nice soft texture. The staff were also accommodating. It was about a 15 to 20 min walk to the centre but there was a nice bakery on the way. One evening, the kitchen had just closed but the chef very kindly made me a nice salad. Very good hotel for this price range.
Review 19:The bathroom and toilet were very weird, smelly and inside a closet. We used the toilet in the shared facilities and had a shower at the next destination.
Review 20:We stayed here for a stop over on the way to somewhere else. The location was great and easy to find. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were lovely and tried to help as much as possible even though they did not speak English. We had dinner here and it was great representation of local cuisine. Breakfast was generous and fresh.
Review 21:Nothing. For the price, ok
Review 22:Reasonable value for money. Well-signed and easy to find. Quiet basicold-style French room, but comfortable enough. Good breakfast availablein bar below.
Review 23:The hotel is noisy. Door and stairs are not well insulated for the noise
Review 24:the room are modern and clean, well equiped. the breakfast is good
Review 25:Well placed, easy to find budget stopover. Room clean, refurbished bathroom. Restaurant served up a pleasant steak. Friendly staff.
Review 26:Indoor breakfast area in bar area not very pleasant.
Review 27:Very central and a short walk into centre to many restaurants.
Review 28:The flimsy WIFI, no connection available until the staff was notified, then it worked but bring back memories of dial up speed.

Review 41:Location. Much quietter than I thought it was going to be. Very helpful staff.
Review 42:Bar staff were very happy to sort out any problems with meals and the chef did a great job with the meals we had. Great to have a locked parking area.
Review 43:The receptionist didn't speak a word of english. We had only one towel and then someone called if we took towels with us By accident..
Review 44:Good bed. Quiet room.
Review 45:Staff understands but don't speak English! Pillow - we didn't liked one big roll.
Review 46:Very budget friendly, big parking lot nearby. Everything was clean (but old-be prepared for that).
Review 47:Wi-Fi wasn't great on the 3rd floor - fine on other floors, and really good down in the bar/restaurant area so wasn't a problem.
Review 48:The staff here were so friendly and very helpful. Rooms were basic but excellent value for money and clean. Good Wi-fi, and lovely little bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Carpark just across the road was a good size.
Review 49:No aircondition and poor ventilation. When you flush the wc, some of the contents show up in the shower..!!
Review 50:Problemsolving. Friendly. Free wifi. Price.
Review 51:Rooms to the back give to a public patio with a glass roof that probably traps heat in summer. Rooms to the front give to the main road. Reception desk often not staffed. House access via a terribly noisy main door.
Review 52:Cheap. Very friendly inn with delicious menu only 50 yards away.
Review 53:Staff needed with a bit more knowledge of English language.
Review 54:Friendly staff, very budget friendly, cheap coffee, tea, comfortablebeds, location... All in all you get everything what you need to spendthe night and enjoy the city paying less than in other hotels. No bigcomplaints, we enjoyed our time there.

Review 57:Bedroom was tired and in need of re decorating.
Review 58:Friendly family run hotel in the centre of the town.
Review 59:Down to earth stuff Completely matched my expectations
Review 60:It was a bit far from the city center without that much comfort in terms of toilet and shower
Review 61:It was clean and the staff was friendly.
Review 62:we could hear almost everything from next door...
Review 63:close to the Millau Viaduct, close to the old town... excellent places to eat around
Review 64:bathroom realy small
Review 65:good value for money
Review 66:Room was a mess no tea or coffee in room breakfast was very poor and expensive wouldn't let my dog stay there!
