Reviews for Pierre & Vacances Costa Plana

Review 1:The reception is rarely open and the entrance is in very bad condition.

Review 2:The view from the apartments. The pool and the poolside restaurant especially the pizzas and staff.

Review 3:Flat sound like a cubicle and it was not that clean. At the reception they're not really willing not help and the ask for extra money for everything. Is much better to choose for an hotel.

Review 4:The view is nice but that's it!! You pay for the view

Review 5:Everything else! No fan or air con,bed very hard,no room to walk around bed, completely inaccessible location,273 steps down to village a further 200 down to beach, unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Not the standard I'm used to with booking.com,would never recommend this as a holiday to anybody,we left 4 days early

Review 6:The view

Review 7:The first appartment/room we were given had mouse droppings on the bed, when we complained the staff were helpful and gave us a key to the new room, however the new room soon appeared to have an infestation of ants. I did not have the energy to complain again and by that time the reception was closed so it would have taken a long time to sort it out. When you pay 249 euros for a small appartment without airconditioning you expect it to be clean. Both rooms felt airless and like they have not been opened for some time.

Review 8:We arrived at the residence at around half 7 in the evening after a 6 hour drive from Italy to find that there was no one around at reception to get the key of our apartments even though reception was meant to stay open until 8. When we rang the allocated number an employee of Pierre & Vacances told us our keys were in a safebox therefore no one to show us to where we were meant to stay. He also told us we had to pay €8 a night for car parking on top of the money we already paid to stay there. After all this hassle we then had to carry 8 suitcases up what we what called death trap steps. There were nails sticking out and all the banisters on the walkway were loose and very unsafe for any person of any age. When we finally arrived at the door of our apartments we were very disappointed as it was much smaller than advertised. We then tried to turn on the air conditioning as you can imagine it was still very hot at this time and we were exhausted from carrying all the suitcases up the numerous treacherous steps, to find that they had air conditioning units in place but purposely were not in operation. This led to some of us sleeping outside on the deck chairs which were riddled with ants. In the other apartment when we entered it, there was an unwelcoming poo lying in the toilet, disgusting! The next morning we went down to reception to enquire about the air conditioning system in which the woman was very unhelpful and rude and said there was none. We then asked about the Wifi which meant another charge incurred, we paid for this only to discover that it did not work!! Had to go back to reception to get this sorted and yet again the woman was so rude that she dismissed the fact that we even had two apartments in the resort therefore we had to run back up to produce our keys to her. She told us that the wifi we had paid for was working and when we went to use it in our apartment it was still not working so they basically robbed us in broad daylight!

Review 9:My wife and I had two very young kids with us so the location of the hotel and countless steps down to the shops were a problem. We rented a car which negated those issues but if a car isn't an option for you I'd think twice about staying here.

Review 10:Nice apartment. Beautiful scenery. Nice kids pool and infinity pool and the pool area was never too busy while we were there. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 11:I had to pay for wifi, parking, had one of toilet paper roll. Lots of stairs to get to the room and if we came back late had to park at the bottom of the parking!

Review 12:The view and that our family of five were all together

Review 13:Finding my way around.....although that did add to the experience

Review 14:The whole welcome and friendliness of all the staff, and how helpful they wee in making sure that your stay was enjoysboe

Review 15:All french hotels seem to charge extra for wifi in your room. I would like to welcome France to 2015. Charging extra for wifi these days is like charging extra for running water or electricity. It should be included in the room price.

Review 16:The rooms were very nice and functional, though of fairly simple standard. Nice new flat-TV, though - as usually in France - only with french speaking channels. Kitchen facilites were good. No microwave - but hot air oven. When we figured out how it works it proved a lot better than a microwave. The roof terrace (with pool) has a wonderful view of Port Vauban and Fort Carré. There is also a larger pool at ground level. Both pools were very clean and in top condition, though most other exteriors and interiors of the hotel show some wear and tear. If you have small children it is easiest to have your own car. There is a large free parking at the tennis courts down the road. There are also buses passing close nearby, which are easy and very low cost. If you don't have small children the old town and Port Vauban are just 2 kilometers away - an easy stroll. All in all - if you expect luxury this is not your choice. If you want a godd stay at a good location with good value for money - I strongly recommend it.

Review 17:I request an invoice for my stay, they refuse to do it telling me thatBooking must do it (!) false ! I have been charged byPierre&Vacances not from booking! Staff was very arrogant andunfriendly. Wifi is coming and going. I paid 20 euro for one week andthe signal was very weak. It change from place to place. Old andsometimes broken furnitures.

Review 18:Great view, probably one of the best of the area. Apartment are largeand you have nearly all you need for a nice stay couple of days.

Review 19:Steps, steps and more steps. But, that the south of france for you

Review 20:Stunning views, loads of sleeping space for the 6 of us. There for the football which was a real effort to walk back from. Going into manaco really does need a taxi, etc.

Review 21:Nobody in Reception upon our arrival despite getting there at 19.30 with confirmation saying Reception open until 20.00 hrs!!! Arrangements for late arrival and access to key very poor. Absolutely no signage on site pointing out where apartment was . Very poor visibility with site not lit up adequately.

Review 22:The position was excellent . Beautiful view.

Review 23:1. Locked up access at mid day (12:30); Lack of available staff during lunch break. Place is like a ghost town!; Totally useless central phone number. They only confirmed that no one was available until 14:00! In terms of 'Customer Service' that really stinks!2. Toilet flush broken; paper roll holder broken; shower holder broken; Window key lock needs a PhD in Mechanical Engineering to get it to work! 3. The drive up slope to reception and covered parking is extremely steep. Certainly not comfy with a fully loaded car. More than once the clutch smell left traces of the engine's extreme effort. 4. Main room and bathroom at the limit of the acceptable in terms of space. The space between bed limits and walls very tight, even fotr the slim! Bathroom equally fairly tight, again, even for the slim! Bath sink far too shallow for proper funcionality.

Review 24:1. The view on the village and sea definately an asset; also fairly quiet area off season.2. Swimming pool extends the horizon into the sea.....though did not get a chance to use it as it was January. 3. Nice terrace to relax on, adequately equipped. 4. Comfortable size LCD TV and a WiFi system though did not use either. 5. Ample space for cloths. 6. Kitchen area adequately equipped for a week's stay but you'll need to stop by supermarket for dish washer soap and other items not provided.

Review 25:Room difficult to find down dimly (no) lit walkway Very cramped room for double bed Bed had uneven legs so rocked and moved across floor Only two sets of towels for a 4-5 person appartment Impossibly small toilet (and we are not big people) Shower rail loose Cheap fittings Poor cupboards ..........

Review 26:Awful place

Review 27:I fell at the hotel . Called for an ambulance to front desk . She would not help . Asked for a cab . She said they were not available . Finally had a friend 2 hours later pick me up . I had 8 stitches and a leg brace . Worst hotel ! You could be dying no one would help !!!

Review 28:Arrived 18.00hrs. Dark, wet & windy. Access locked. Given no gate code. Used local telephone no. Usual block. Followed another vehicle to enter, walked to office. Office lights on but locked. No bell.. Used my mobile to phone given emergency number...but of head office. Your staff phoned manager.Receptionist arrived...she had been elsewhere. After that all O.K.. Give reception a mobile phone & train to leave message in her absence. I don't understand why there are not better instructions for arrival and effective lighting at the locked entrance. Finally, tried phoning direct the day before arrival....impossible. VERY POOR

Review 29:ideal lodgings for our visit...no problems there.

Review 30:Really bad location, staff also, impolite and unfriendly. Access to the parking was steep and inaccessible for my car. Also, hygiene was bad. Reception incomplete, without the person speaking English.

Review 31:You can get an old appartment with shabby furniture. ask for renovated one in advance because administrator even don't talk to you. There were a lot of free appartments but t personal told us that the hotel is fully booked.

Review 32:Great location

Review 33:wifi didn't work Breakfast not served in October, would Have been helpful to know in advance. Bed in studio not suitable for couple, it is actually 3 singles in lounge. No kettle or coffee machine in room. Been asked to pay extra 50€ to guarantee best view. Ants in bathroom. Wouldn't stay for more than few nights, as you it is not very relaxing having to use car all the time.

Review 34:Design of building. Nice interior Swimming pool Views lovely Good parking Great terrace

Review 35:We stayed in two different units as we extended our stay. The first unit required lots of walking up stairs to find the unit but the second unit was a much better location for my 86 year old Mum, near the elevators. The wooden steps were a little rickety in places.

Review 36:The amazing views and the great large balcony. This was fantastic. Liked the kitchen facilities and having a separate toilet. The pool looked amazing. The lounge area was good too for three people. May be crowded if you slept 6 people in the unit.

Review 37:location was ut the hill ,so can not reach without car,Staff was arrogant &not very helpful ,need to pay extra fee to use wireless internet but reception was still poor ,not recommendable overall ,you d better to go to find other places .

Review 38:Pool was very busy even in September, expect kids to be loud. Internet and parking must be paid extra. Staff ok but not too motivated.

Review 39:Very close to Monaco, great for day trips in the area. Great view over ocean.

Review 40:No aircon The outdoor wooden parts in need of repair Parking lots sometimes blocked with anything else but vehicles

Review 41:Excellent view Good location within walking distance of Monaco. Easy to take the bus to Nice as well. Nice pool Not a noisy place though many people living at the venue Interesting architecture and surprinsingly well organized appartments

Review 42:Very cramped room for 4 people, not given one set of bed linen, the other did not have pillowcases, at the reception forgot to offer remote control tv, promenade, which descend 10 min walk was 3 km long and not 4 as told at the reception (for us as athletes that matters)

Review 43:Infinity pool, great covered parking for cars, sea views from the large terrace, quiet, comfortable beds.

Review 44:Nothing major - few loose sockets and some lights not working and some plaster off in bathroom but nothing that would put me off going back

Review 45:Fantastic views and pool was fabulous. Nice decor in apartments which were well equipped and accessible to regular buses to Monaco and Nice

Review 46:A little bit far from town. Long tough walk as of all the steps.

Review 47:Beautiful view. Quiet. Lovely pool .

Review 48:The condition Of the building , the stair was broken And the lift was out Of work !!!!

Review 49:The parking

Review 50:No coffee filter.

Review 51:Excellent location, close to Nice.

Review 52:Swimming pool

Review 53:The location is quite inconvenient for those without a car

Review 54:The view from the balcony is beautiful

Review 55:Pas de draps a notre arrivee, livres a 22heurs !!!!! Pas informe du changement de code a l'entree

Review 56:Amazing view. Clean rooms

Review 57:Paid wifi very slow Paid parking

Review 58:Good location, nice view

Review 59:Charging Ants in bed, bathroom and kitchen

Review 60:View only

Review 61:No air-conditioning

Review 62:Pool , View.

Review 63:The infinity pool is super cool, the apartments are quite good.

Review 64:Bad navigation (first time was not easy to find the room)

Review 65:Fascinating pool Good location for visiting Monaco Clean and cosy

Review 66:No regular housekeeping

Review 67:The infinity pool. The shuttle service from Edmonds restaurant when you dine there.

Review 68:A very ugly concrete building. Very out of character for the surroundings.

Review 69:The view! This was the highlight of our stay.

Review 70:The staff was barely helpful, and the instructions on how to reach the property or parking were non-existent. To be more specific, I had to call 8 times, to finally get connected. During the last 2 phone calls, the employee (there seems to be a single person in charge) raised the phone, and did not answer, or asked for a minute, but continued talking in german, with a client, for about 5 minutes. When he finally answered, he told us that unless we made arrangements (which needed the phone call), the reception area is closed at 7pm. We would have been out of the building. Parking is not clear, and is not indicated in the instructions left by the staff; i wasn't sure my car was going to be towed until the next day. Access to the specific apartment we rented was difficult.

Review 71:The location was pretty good. The apartment was furnished and the price was very competitive. The pool looks nice, (although we didnt try it).

Review 72:Some traffic noise at night but all properties in the area would be likewise affected and this did not detract from the overall enjoyment. Lack of basics like washing up liquid and wash sponge in kitchen area, lack of corkscrew to open bottles (but we had our own) and just one roll of loo paper was a bit mean until we noticed that you could ask at reception for more!!

Review 73:The rooftop infinity swimming pool is probably the best to be found anywhere on the Cote d'Azur. It was very clean, in a good state of repair, safe to use (particularly for children) and a brilliant view of the Mediterranean Sea and Cap d'Ail. Our huge balcony with sea view - perfect. We look forward to returning.

Review 74:Stupid amount of stairs Adverts and publication misleading We would not go back again.

Review 75:Very untidy exterior Wooden stairs and walkways unsafe. Infact dangerous as rotted. Unsuitable for unfit or elderly persons as 280 steps to main bars and restaurants

Review 76:just the distance to walk to the bus stop, since the hotel is on a hill makes it a bit difficult but was a great experience and exercise.

Review 77:the whole ocean view was amazing!!

Review 78:Very very disappointing arrival arrangement for late check-ins. Welocked outside of the only gate to reception / carpark. Theres onlytelephone and some numbers to call to, while most of them werent answer.Only being able to got in while the other residents were back and openedthe gate for us, and we need to open a safety box to get arrivalpack!?!? You must be kidding me!and reception CLOSED from thursday to sunday until we checked out!- we got no one to talk to or asking at all - "MARVELOUS!" No TV Remote control and WIFI never stay connected until we made CALLs again to somewhere and trying to SOS. BUT WE STILL NOT CONNECTED AT ALL. Tiny towels / no hairdryer (not common thing for a standard host to provide? Serious?) Rooms arent ready at all (duvet / pillow / bed covers - you have to do-it-yourself after a tiring check - in!! Culture-shock) Another shock - Theres black-ants everywhere near the dining table and kitchen area!!!! I NEVER experience such thing else where. Try to convince me that we were just unlucky - while it isnt tht bad afterall? tell me bout it!

Review 79:Location and view of the apartment is good, not sure bout facility - forus who arent arranged to the main building.

Review 80:apartment door was out of its frame and did not close properly.staff did come and made a perfunctory attempt to fix it but it was really gaping open all week.door to the main walkway was also unlock able.beds are fairly spartan. distinct sense of having to ort yourself out here- not much in the way of staff support.

Review 81:view.architecture.

Review 82:Having to pay 9€ per day extra for the car park at the end. It would make sense to simply include the cost in the price.

Review 83:Decent size apartment with fantastic views and a lovely big secluded terrace area to sit outside. Great pool, which was being used in late October.

Review 84:There were no towels provided this year due to a change in policy whichwe weren't informed about, charged 6 euros each for a set of towels. Our apartment lock was broken so we were unable to lock the apartmentfor the three days we were there. There wasn't even a kitchen spongeprovided to enable you to wash up. We came back to the apartment lateone night and none of the security lighting was working so we were inpitch darkness. The reception isn't manned 24 hours and if youarrive at the wrong time you are literally 'trapped' outside asit has a 'gated' entrance for which you need a code. Taxi'sare impossible to get hold of and it's a long walk up/down intoMonaco etc.

Review 85:Apartment was very clean and excellent value for money. Infinity poollooks lovely, as are the views. Staff friendly.

Review 86:Late arrival difficult to locate entry key and apartment . No welcomepack . No washing up liquid , 1 toilet roll in. No receptionist so notowels if late arrival . No shower in the morning until reception opens, not good if on business. 10 minutes to get a coffee at breakfast asbar man has to do everything on his own .he had to make 5 continentalbreakfasts first . Saw a rat out side our apt on return bit alarming .Unable to lock the apartment terrace entrance at all . Door had beenforced before and not repaired So had to sleep with all doors closed sono air ! Need new towels . Unable to leave keys at reception ifreturning late and with occupancy of 4 in a 7/8 stay apartmentproved tricky juggling only 2 keys . All going separate ways on businesstrip . Would use again . Need to make it easier to get in late arrival ,car park code by email and instruction by email to pick up key from safenot received early enough before trip and not clear ?

Review 87:Location for Monaco yacht show very good . Parking good View great Sizeof apartment Value amazing Pool good infinity . Breakfast good

Review 88:No aircondition Lack of maintenance of some of the wooden construction. Quite a long way to the beaches. Cap d'ail town on its own is not that interesting.

Review 89:Overall architecture is fine. Probably all appartments have an open view to the sea. Good parking (70 EUR week) Reasonable close to shops and restaurants in cap d'ail if you like the stairs. Close to Nice (30 min) and Monaco (15 min) Options for hiking above the town.

Review 90:Wifi was only available if you paid for it. I was staying with 4 kids in a studio apartment which was ok except we only got 2 large towels & 2 small towels. Any more including a bath mat were 12 euros a set. The kitchen has absolutely nothing in.It wouldnt cost them too much to give us a tea towel,a couple of dishwasher tablets & a base of oil, salt & pepper.

Review 91:It was clean & had all facilities one needed.

Review 92:Nothing

Review 93:Location fantastic, value for money, amazing view. The terrace, pool looked amazing but we were there in March. I'm sure it would be a great place for a summer holiday . Compact design of apartment worked well for us. Found beds comfortable .

Review 94:The rooms themselves are tiny and the beds tiny. The bunk beds were tiny and the 2 sofa bed quite small. Really each room was adeqate for one person - fitting 3 or 4 would be a nightmare. The doors that cover most of 2 walls of my apartment we very old and rattled in the wind.

Review 95:Pool looked nice but didnt have time to use it Cafe was adequate. The view is specatular, so on a warm day it is very picturesque Very convenient for travelling to Monaco

Review 96:Extra costs for towels and the per person per day tax which we were notaware of. Rooms were slightly on the small side. Hours where staff wereavailable weren't the best.

Review 97:Great views, rooms were near and tidy, staff were friendly and close toMonaco, nice and cannes.

Review 98:The toilet is 50cm by 30cm and the handles were so old that one of usgot locked for more than an hour there. No one from reception could helpus because there was no one there.Reception has only certain hours when they are open. They open late and so it is impossible to see them. The only time we saw the reception was at check out when they were agressive and rude. Hidden costs like parking was presented. Car is a must in this place. If you are claustophobic the appartments are surely not good and there is no one competent to help you. One of the worst experiences in 10 years of travel. I travel twcie a month and it is the first negative review I am writing in my life.

Review 99:Nothing is good at Pierre Vacances Plana

Review 100:Absolutly no business accommodation Dreadful service Ridiculous price Hostel for teenagers with a nice view

Review 101:View

Review 102:The swimming pool is a daily must for my children. The view of the ocean is great.

Review 103:Location and on site restaurant

Review 104:electrical sockets hanging out of the walls

Review 105:the view was great

Review 106:Location

Review 107:la wifi payante

Review 108:tres belle appartement avec une tres belle vue

Review 109:Number of adress is not correct.

Review 110:conveniently close to Monaco during the Yacht Show, and good value

Review 111:extra paying for towels, parking, internet small beds, hard matress not suitable for two couples in one suite

Review 112:Price, sea view, kitchen

Review 113:everything

Review 114:Unconmfortable beds. No ventilation in the WC

Review 115:Amazing location. Amazing view. Nice equiped kitchen

Review 116:Nothing. It is quite honestly on of the worst places I have ever had to stay and it should not even be open

Review 117:- 85%.

Review 118:room was ok, but staff was rude and not professional. Well equipped rooms with
