Reviews for Deltour Hôtel Millau City
Review 1:The carpet in room 209 needed a deep clean as it was dirty.
Review 2:The receptionist was very helpful and gave us information about the town. The bathroom was well laid out & clean. The restaurant next door was good value and had a good choice of meals.
Review 3:To get to the hotel during the rain was difficult and had to ask local people for directions.Do not know why they did not write ¨city¨in the hotel sign as there is another with the same name.
Review 4:The Reception,the breakfast,the parking,very comfortable room,the wifi
Review 5:None
Review 6:The hotel was very good friendly staff and clean would stop there if I was in that area again also was easy to find be careful you don't get confused there are 2 not far apart. The restaurant next door was something else the food and service was superb 10/10 left there very contented
Review 7:It was difficult to find as there is another hotel of the same name nearby and clients were making the wrong decision on which one it was - more clarification required on exact location
Review 8:All facilities were first class and we enjoyed our overnight stay.
Review 9:The location - a little too distant from town and in a rather desolate area. The local restaurant - the only one - was not more than okay.
Review 10:The availability of parking. The receptionist was very helpful
Review 11:Out of main village but we only stopped for the view of the bridge anyway. Staff directed us to best views of the bridge Centre too far away to walk but when you have a car, use it. Ate in food OK
Review 12:Wifi did not work, but time I realised reception had closed. But this not spoil what was a nice overnight experience
Review 13:Used as an overnight stop on way south. Easy to find and in a stunning location overlooking the town and near to bridge. Beware limited reception times, not sure what happens if you turn up late. Modern hotel with limited facilities although a nice pool area. The restaurant is next door and very good value, and takes advantage of those views and seemed very popular with non residents. Good size bedroom with huge comfortable bed, and large bathroom. Breakfast was the usual selection for a budget hotel but good value.
Review 14:The staff were not very conversant in English and sent us in the wrong direction to cross the Milau viaduct. Did not fill our flask for us. We had to try to get it out of the coffee machine.
Review 15:Position of hotel was good on edge of town in quiet area. Needed a car to get around
Review 16:Nothing in particular - did not try the adjacent restaurant.
Review 17:Modern building well located and efficient. Well run and good value. Breakfast was well worth its cost.
Review 18:Transport and access: Direct bus service by Line A to the entrance of the hotel was not operational. Had to wait more than an hour to take Line 2 and then walked uphill from the bus stop with the suitcase. Services: The reception was closed for check-in from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. I rang the bell and knocked on the door but no one answered. Had to wait in the cold for hours. Check out time should be 12:00 p.m. instead of 11:00 a.m. Value for money: The additional cost of breakfast besides the room rates of about US$10 was little bit expensive. The guests might like eggs, ham and fruit on the menu. Perhaps I would not have breakfast but only boarding. Surroundings: There is a repair and maintenance factory for automobile nearby and the chemical solvent pollute the otherwise clean air at the elevated location.
Review 19:Location: The hotel is on the hilltop of city limit of Millau. It gives a great view and guests could see part of the Millau Viaduct from the entrance. Nearby is a big shopping centre and 2 supermarkets. I found it very convenient to buy groceries and souvenoirs. Breakfast: The foods and drinks at breakfast were hot and delicious, although the opening time could be earlier at 7:00 a.m. instead of 7:30 a.m. Room & cleanliness: The room, bed and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Staff: The staff quite friendly and hospitable even though they only speak French and very little English. Access to vantage points: It is a short walk uphill to a nearby hilltop to get the full view of the Millau Viaduct. Transport services: It is quite a distance from the town centre and tourist shops. The bus services were too infrequent. Luckily I got a free lift from a kind lady and gentleman near the SNCF train station to the hotel. Overall: I would recommend to my friends and I would stay at the Deltour Hotel next time..
Review 20:2nd stay here, rooms are very clean and modern, breakfast is tasty and fresh, lovely pool when the weathers warm ( although a little cold!). Restaurant next door offering nice affordable food. Views are fantastic.
Review 21:nothing
Review 22:Everything about this hotel was wonderful. Large rooms, a lift, secure parking. Fantastic restaurant next door that gave a 10% discount for staying in the hotel. The most huge bathroom, I have never stayed in such a good hotel at this price before. We will most definitely be going back.
Review 23:Toilet is separate from the sink and shower.
Review 24:Courtesy of the lady who waited us half hour over check-in limit, due to delays caused by traffic. Quiet place, safe parking, good breakfast, nice view.
Review 25:Dirty reception, very worn carpets, dirty toilet. No reception staff after 20.30 which isn't mentioned during your booking. If you are from the uk it's like a poor travelodge!
Review 26:No English style tea (I know we are in France, but it is a nice touch which many hotels provide).
Review 27:Good value, easy to find base for staying at Millau with the added bonus of a swimming pool. Very helpful receptionist on arrival. Secure Parking, Nice peaceful location. Restaurant next door which we did not use, due to other plans but convenient and looked quite inviting.
Review 28:No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No staff there at night. Came back from dinner about 10pm and whole place was in darkness. Very strange.
Review 29:Easy to find- but apparently there are 2 hotels with the same name! Parking in front of hotel. Lovely old town worth a visit even if just for a meal. Breakfast- simple but fresh buffet. Everything clean.
Review 30:Great place for price, slightly let down by staff during our visit. Booking not registered so sent to other Hotel of same name 3 min drive away. Incorrect so sent back. Receptionist apologised but by "blaming" other colleague (not professional). She did give us a gesture of goodwill however (breaky free for kids) which was a good later reaction and appreciated. At breakfast, ran out of milk and croissants and had to go to reception to ask. Same receptionist reacted well and fetched dining room staff member. That staff member appeared to be on a cigarette/coffee break (during busy morning breaky time seemed odd). It appears the receptionist is being let down by the staff around her. She in turn however should learn to just say graciously "there was an error, my apologies on behalf of the hotel - please accept x as a gesture of goodwill"....and not unprofessionally blame colleagues and ALL would have been good and I would not have written such a long review! We would definitely go again as the place was great just feel we were a little unlucky with staff performance at that particular moment!
Review 31:Great facilities, comfort, bedroom and bathroom size. Outskirts of town but good resto next door and 10% off
Review 32:There is a restaurant next door which is very convenient but it is out of the city centre, so there are limited choices if you don't want to drive.
Review 33:This is a quiet hotel offering a comfortable and reasonably spacious room. We did not try the breakfast.
Review 34:Whilst the room is reasonably spacious, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed etc. the very first impression of the hotel at the ground floor reception area leaves a lot to desired. We found it somewhat unwelcoming and needs to be improved and updated.
Review 35:We stayed two nights and found the hotel easily as it is close to the Motorway junction on the north side of the Millau Bridge but is very quiet. Very good value accomodation with a fairly wide range of buffet choice at breakfast. Excellent wifi reception and speed - in fact the best we experienced on our three week holiday tour of France. Would certainly recommend this hotel as it is very good in its class.
Review 36:The location when we arive from Highway A75 by car.
Review 37:Very clean and comfortable. Staff most welcoming.
Review 38:Hotel a bit scruffy and not scrupulously clean.Bad smell in bathroom
Review 39:Convenient hotel with parking in a lovely area. Good breakfast for the money
Review 40:There was nothing we did not like.
Review 41:location and restaurant
Review 42:The Calais situation this summer was disgusting. No France for me next year.
Review 43:To far and difficult to walk and no public transport. After a long drive a real from driving required. Even taxi had to get
Review 44:Smashing comfortable room, had a cracking nights sleep. Highly recommend the restaurant next door.
Review 45:La situation de l'hotel, son confort et la gentillesse du personnel
Review 46:Clean, comfortable overnight stop.
Review 47:good value for money
Review 48:Through late arrival nothing to comment on.
Review 49:Location. Secure car park Arrived late, used key box without issues.
Review 50:The location, The swimming pool and the reaturant just next door
Review 51:Good value, clean, comfortable and quiet.
Review 52:Great location for the bridge - nice restaurant next door
Review 53:Breakfast was poor, not a lot of variety. We expect more for that price
Review 54:Room was large enough
Review 55:Not 24hr reception not much English spoken. Limited wifi 1 logon/device. Limited eateries.
Review 56:Easy access to bridge and A75. Pool.
Review 57:If you didn't come into Millau on d917 it was difficult to find, no signs
Review 58:Very good resto on sight
Review 59:Easy to find, super clean pool, nice staff and a good restaurant next door +strong wifi, Ideal.
Review 60:Very noisy dancing next door
Review 61:Good beds
Review 62:Not a thing
Review 63:The staff were terrific. Room excellent Wifi good it has a pool aircon is cool overall good value for money
Review 64:A bit far from the town centre, limited choice of restaurants
Review 65:Easy access after a long drive
Review 66:good bed, good internet, good breakfast.
Review 67:Nothing.
Review 68:Staff were helpful. Quiet location.
Review 69:A very quiet location, clean, tidy, Just what you need after a days travelling.
Review 70:Away from the town so the eatery next door was the most likely option. Not good for the prices charged. On the way back tried to book in but it was all shut up & no staff in sight. Probably not interested in passing trade.
Review 71:Easy access away from the main town. Secure parking
Review 72:Excellent place to stay a night when visiting Millau. Liked its spacious parking, location (easy access from the highway), and especially nice restaurant very close to the hotel, with good food and views around.
Review 73:A little more attention to the bathroom would have been good.
Review 74:The price, the pool, the free wi-fi, the comfortable bed. It was also very nice of the receptionist to reduce the cost of our family-room booking once she realised there was only two of us (it was the last room available).
Review 75:Stairwell carpet was dirty. There was also a food smell in the entrance hall which was not very welcoming. Simple things which could be easily resolved.
Review 76:Size of room was good with a good bed and an excellent shower in the bathroom. Checking in was very straightforward. Hotel was in an area which afforded good views of the town and viaduct.
Review 77:Room smelt of cigarette smoke. 3 of my party had an upset stomach from the restaurant evening meal.
Review 78:Hotel was welcomed at the end of a long day. Swimming pool cold but as sun was shining didn't seem to bad.
Review 79:It was o.k.....basically a pleasant overnight stopover.restaurant next door is also reasonable but I didn't,t think it has good as when I used it last year
Review 80:As a non french speaking visitor to the hotel I had trouble finding thehotel and had to call the hotel for directions. The receptionist hadtrouble understanding me.
Review 81:Ease of access to the main roads and central ness to town shops andother amenities. Really nice restaurant next door.
Review 82:There are two Deltour Hotel in the area and the Address is not preciseenough to reach the hotel by gps. The car park was full late in theevening but nobody indicated any alernate parking facilities eventhoughthere was a empty car park in the restaurant next to the hotel.
Review 83:Good value for money
Review 84:I was well looked after by the receptionist and enjoyed the adjacent "Tour" Restaurant. However,I was disappointed to find that the "WiFi" facility in the hotel appeared to be out of licence (such was the message which came up when i tried to 'log on'.).
Review 85:The receptionist was one of the most undesirable persons I have had thedispleasure to meet. She was abrupt, unhelpful and to be frank almostrude. We checked in and after doing a tour of the hotel eventually foundour room. She actually watched us walk outside looking for the roomwithout saying anything. We immediately left and found another hotelsacrificing the cost of the night rather than put up with her attitude.
Review 86:Poor quality Hallway reeks of smoke Poor breakfast
Review 87:The price
Review 88:convenient for us
Review 89:a bit remote from the town too far to walk
