Reviews for Luberon L'hôtel

Review 1:The stuff was very friendly ans helpful, alll rooms clean and nicely equipped, the center of town in reach, parking right in front and the view was stunning

Review 2:An easy stroll into the town centre but also has a bakery & other amenities next door.A large supermarket is minutes away. The Hotel Luberon is somewhat dated but full of French character.

Review 3:A little dated. Kept fining ants in the bed :-/

Review 4:The lady on check in was brilliant, helped us store out bikes, organized a bike transport capable taxi for us - very friendly.

Review 5:The hotel is old and run down and lacks many basic comforts including a hairdryer, good aircon and good bed and pillows. The bathroom was old and there was no shower curtain or screen so the water went everywhere. Would not recommend.

Review 6:Whilst the room was adequate - although the central heating didn't cope well with the heat wave - the entry way and stairwell, particularly the carpet, were unpleasant and smelt of stale grease and cooking odours.

Review 7:Good parking, a desk in the room, easy access to the centre of town and to villages in the area - the latter were my reason for basing myself in Apt.

Review 8:Older outdated hotel A 15 min walk to town No ice No hair blower Breakfast was over by 9:15am - when we made a last minute decision to stay for breakfast

Review 9:Close to bike paths Air conditioning Stored our bikes

Review 10:Needs more sense of security around the building and inside doors to the room and basic conveniences inside the room especially for elder clientele. Though the elevator helps. But now understand it is a French standard 2 star hotel.

Review 11:Very nice staff, courteous and efficient. Some old style charm in decor. Nice view from the room of the mountains and sunset. Very clean. Elevator a good addition for the epoque and small size.

Review 12:we arrived at 14:00 o'clock, nobody at the reception, couldn't check in, after calling the hotel, we were told that we had to wait until 15:00 o'clock, so we have to drag the baggs moving around to kill the time ......

Review 13:for one night, it is ok, parking is just opposite the hotel, a very good bakery shop next to the hotel, unfortunately didn't try their restaurant, looks quite good.

Review 14:Unfortunately 2-star hotels in France do not appear ever to provide kettles etc in the rooms. I was aware of this from the information provided by Booking.com, so had packed a travel kettle and teabags for that essential morning cuppa!

Review 15:Friendly efficient welcome, immediate offer to book us in for dinner at the restaurant downstairs and helpful suggestions about nearby places to visit. I had already had email contact from the hotel, concerned that my online request about room choices would be difficult for them to meet on the dates of our stay. In the event we were allocated a room at the front, which was smaller than expected but perfectly adequate, and an enormous family room at the back with Juliet balcony. The furnishings and décor were a little dated and quirky but the beds were comfortable, everything was very clean and the showers worked well. There is a lift up to the bedrooms. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there is such an excellent boulangerie/patisserie next door for fresh pastries and picnic goodies - and we also walked along to the vast town-centre market on the Saturday morning, with its excellent selection of local produce. The hotel is easy to find, with plenty of free parking space opposite. We ate at the independent restaurant downstairs on both evenings, as we were so impressed by the food quality, value and ambiance on our first visit. We liked the unpretentious town of Apt, found it a brilliant base to explore the stunning Luberon area and a very convenient stopping off point en route from Aix to the Gorge du Verdon. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, such a welcome change from the impersonal budget chain hotels we used on the rest of our trip. We would return without hesitation and recommend this hotel to others.

Review 16:Good launch pad location. Free parking.

Review 17:Very nice staff.

Review 18:This place isn't quaint, it's old in major need of upgrading

Review 19:The chap that met us, very friendly

Review 20:Helpful staff without exception clean room good size room would happily stay again

Review 21:Great staff extremely helpful, much better than average, good comfortable 2 to 3 star hotel. Would stay again

Review 22:Just a little tired and needing some updating

Review 23:comfortable, friendly and good location

Review 24:rooms were terribly overheated, bathroom had no ventilation at all so showers became a steam room and toilet breaks even worse, walls were paper-thin allowing normal volume voices to sound very very loud.

Review 25:generally clean

Review 26:It was a little noisy as it's by the road, we had a room with a balcony which had a view of the main road.

Review 27:The owner had prepared a list of personally recommended restaurants in apt and other hilltop villages. The parking was just across from the hotel and it was a short walk from apt centre. A good location for visiting the surrounding villages.

Review 28:Nothing!

Review 29:Very friendly owner who had produced his own little restaurant and village guide. Great location on the main road into Apt with convenient free parking. Right next to a boulangerie and up the road from a supermarket.

Review 30:Had sit down shower. WIFI connection in room was "spotty". Had to go to the lobby to improve WIFI connection. FYI - be on time as the front desk closes at 9pm so they will send you an email with a code to enter however if you do not have email access you won't receive the message and you will have to call the local # to get the code for the front door.

Review 31:Location.

Review 32:No shower curtains and no hair dryer in the bathroom.

Review 33:Location: near to the most well-known Luberon villages. Parking: a free public parking just in front of the hotel. Good restaurant just next to the hotel.

Review 34:no toilet bowl in the room. stairway did not have automatic lights sensor, need walk some dark passage before able to turn on the lights.

Review 35:free parking opposite. budget, clean and easy to find.

Review 36:The location, the hotel is placed on an important road. The wardrobe was not smelling good and there wasn't any hanger in the room. Very smoll room full of useless furniture. Very noisy air-conditioner which made a lot of noise even when turned off.

Review 37:There is free parking just in front of the hotel. Low budget. Soundproof rooms. Bar and backery sideways.

Review 38:The staff was very helpful and friendly, gave us good advice what to see in the area and where to gave a good dinner. Room small, but cozy and comfortable. Really good value for money.

Review 39:I wouldn't want a room on the street side

Review 40:very friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, comfortable, clean room with coutryside view. Relaxed atmosphere. Storage possibility for bycycles central location to discover the Luberon. Excellent value for money.

Review 41:The hotel is a typical family run provincial French hotel. A bit tatty around the edges but full of charm and character. Our room was small but comfy. The en-suite bathroom was large. We booked a room with a small balcony which was well worth it, had a lovely picnic watching the world go by below us. The owner is very cheery and the WiFi is good. It is a ten minute walk to the town centre but in the same block is an excellent restaurant, boulangerie & bar. Across the road is a local shop selling home grown products, fruit, veggies, pates, terrines etc.

Review 42:Attention to detail, eg. a very squeeky intercommunication door which also slammed shut. Not a good wake up call at night. Carpets might need a clean or replacement. Bathroom furniture should be upgraded. The cigarette stains on the bath must be from the distant past.

Review 43:This hotel & location served our needs well for visiting friends resident in Apt. The hotel was most accessible for this purpose. The two members of staff we met were both friendly and helpful. This is a typical provincial French hotel.

Review 44:When the reservation is made it says breakfast is included, but in theemail confirmation it say that breakfast (consisting of coffee andbread) is 7 euro.

Review 45:The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us withwhatever we needed, specifically a place to eat. The manager called 6resturants before finding a place that would accept a reservation.

Review 46:Breakfast overpriced for what you get-bread, juice, coffee/tea. - no fruit, no yogurt, no egg or cheese

Review 47:Close to bus station .

Review 48:The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for meals out! They really made our stay enjoyable. The room was lovely.

Review 49:Great view from my room

Review 50:The restaurant attached was fab! Hotel a bit far from town to walk. Hotel is very dated but clean and good breakfast! Thank you all.

Review 51:breakfast - needs more options

Review 52:reasonable value

Review 53:The room was lovely although the rest of the hotel (corridors etc) needed a makeover

Review 54:The hygiene could be better

Review 55:The hotel is according to expectancies of a 2-star hotel and ideal for a one night stay.

Review 56:breakfast arrnagments were confusing

Review 57:Above average facilities for budget room

Review 58:Room small for 3.

Review 59:Excellent for what we wanted .a short stay near all we needed and friendly.

Review 60:Needs new slats under mattress in room 203
