Reviews for Hôtel Arenui
Review 1:No elevator, carpet was stained and worn, 9 euros for breakfast was overpriced for the limited selection of ham, cheese and breads. Coffee machine was terrible. On the industrial side of the city. All beaches and sights are a considerable driving distance away.
Review 2:Friendly reception. Free, but unsecured, parking at front door. An ok place to stay, but you get ehat you pay for.
Review 3:Excellent value evening meal with self select buffet starter & good buffet breakfast. Staff very friendly & helpful. Very little english is spoken but very willing to work with you if your french is limited.
Review 4:The location was horrible. It was hard to get around to Bayonne and Biarritz and there were no taxis. Nobody was there who spoke English so it was a little intimidating. Also there was a stain on the sheet when we went to bed (nothing horrible, just a black mark, but it's all the same).
Review 5:The lady at the desk was very kind and friendly. She did her best to help us with directions but she didn't know much about the bus lines.
Review 6:The room, the noise, the place, the situation (next to busy road), and most of all the price. A rhird of it would be too much! Would never recommend this place!
Review 7:The friendlyness
Review 8:The location is like an industrial estate. It is close to a river, but you wouldn't want to go near it. The restaurant is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday! So it's not really meant for tourists and holidaymakers.
Review 9:The room was a good size and the staff reasonably friendly. Well situated for visiting the coastal towns.
Review 10:Restaurant closed on a Sunday evening.
Review 11:Always liked this hotel as people friendly. Used to like it because the restaurant was open on a Sunday. Unfortunately, this was not the case this time. Most places shut in france on a Sunday especially in the evening.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Booked at the end of a 600 mile bike ride as the cheapest we could find we had no high expectations, but had en suite rooms which were clean and with comfortable beds. As a group of four OPIL cyclists (old age pensioners in lycra) we were amazed and delighted at the trouble the manager went to. He placed our bikes in a secure basement and then allowed us to leave them and our luggage in secure storage after we checked out so that we could explore Bayonne unhindered by them. He even said that if we returned when he was not on duty at reception to buzz the entry phone and he would come down during his afternoon rest period. The buffet breakfast stoked us up for the day and was good value. all in all an excellent find.
Review 14:Friendly people.
Review 15:Located in middle of small trading estate. No safe storage location for cycles
Review 16:Exceptionally helpful receptionist
Review 17:The hotel is very conveniently located, near the beaches and quiet. Lovely staff.
Review 18:Location was a bit of an industrial site
Review 19:Staff were very welcoming and helpful Good Value for money Not far from the beaches Off road parking
Review 20:noisy - very close to highway
Review 21:nice price, easy to find, parking, wi-fi
Review 22:Room, facilities, and location were nothing special but did the job.
Review 23:Staff were super helpful and friendly.
Review 24:Not walking distance from anything, located in some kind of industrial park.
Review 25:Clean, good value for money, staff were nice.
Review 26:The service was excellent. A small hotel that is very good value for money, not fr from Anglet beaches ( by car).
Review 27:Passage walls and stair carpet could be upgraded to give a more upmarket appearance.
Review 28:Friendly helpful staff member at reception. I would recommend for short stay stop-overs 1-2 nights.
Review 29:We liked everything.
Review 30:The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The good thing that they have a restaurant and you can have a nice meal. The room is clean and comfortable. The only thing we regret is that we've stayed only one night, we'd prefer extend our stay. Next time we choose this hotel for our Pays de Basque vacation.
Review 31:The receptionist was excellent, speaking good english although this was France. Price was very good & the room was clean, shower excellent, bed comfortable, all we needed.
Review 32:The breakfast was very poor for the money and we could not recommend it.
Review 33:Nothing special, served it's purpose of being near to Bayonne and had parking facitities, also had a bus route to Bayonne very close.
Review 34:Location on a business estate was a surprise, but it was a quiet location. Food seemed expensive in comparison to room price
Review 35:Attentiveness of staff, cleanliness of room.
Review 36:The hotel, the room, the 10 euro paid for our dog, I supposed that cleaning for 10 euro must have been a luxury room, not an Etap hotel. It sells good because of the area (Briarritz), but not worth the money paid.
Review 37:Quite nothing.
Review 38:Location, but still no worse than Kyirad or Campanile Hotels
Review 39:Friendly, even remembered us from our last visit 1 year ago! Everything you would expect from a budget hotel.
Review 40:The room was well equipped and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and the food in the dining room was of a high standard. I will certainly return the next time I visit Bayonne. Very good value.
Review 41:Although I read the reviews that this was situated in quite a businessarea, I was disappointed with the location. The room was in need ofupdating and very tired looking.
Review 42:The reception staff were very good and welcoming
Review 43:No Air Conditioning, No tea/coffee facilities. We arrived at the hotel on Sunday evening , the hotel was positioned facing the main road thro Anglet to the beach hence a lot of traffic. It was situated at the front king for arrival at about 7.30 the man on the front desk checked us in who was quite pleasent and helpful. We came back down lo get a drink of coffee only to be told by the young lady setting up tables for premusably breakfast that the bar was not open and coffee was not available . We then asked as we no drink facility in the room where we could get one only to told that they did not know. Would i recommend this hotel? certainly not in the summer and not if you are arriving on a Sunday
Review 44:The rooom was clean and tidy
Review 45:Room a bit noisy at night as above outside terrace. No air-con so withwindow closed rather warm in bedroom.
