Reviews for Hericlea Hotel Sport
Review 1:We really had to drive into town for something to eat since it was getting late when we arrived.
Review 2:This is a very basic hotel on the outskirts of Millau. The bathroom & shower didn't look inviting. But It was quiet & adequate for an overnight B&B.
Review 3:Excellent customer service, I was uncontactable whilst travelling to the hotel and arrived after 23:00. The proprietor unbeknown to me had tried to contact me and having failed contacted Booking.com for them to inform me that my room was prepared and waiting when I arrived. As the office had closed a note to that effect was left on the door. The room was warm and a most welcome sight after an 11 hour drive.
Review 4:Nobody there to meet us Cabin door was left open and we had a note on the door in French So not happy with that Thought somebody would be there as said on booking form that we would arrive after 8pm.
Review 5:Location
Review 6:Bed was not comfortable. We felt Rushed in the morning by the cleaner. Nobody at reception when we left the key.
Review 7:The cabin secluded from other patrons. Good for the dog.
Review 8:Definitely in need of major refurbishment. Everything in the chalet looked (and was) tired. The blankets (no duvets) were long overdue for washing.
Review 9:Self contained
Review 10:Broken beds (the manager laughed when I told him) 2 towels for a family of 5 Grotty site with poor access Cabins more like 1970s caravans Millau is not very nice after dark
Review 11:Decent view Accommodating of late arrival
Review 12:Fantastic value for an overnight stop for five of us. Distant view of the Viaduc de Millau was lovely. The weather was so hot that we wondered how we would ever sleep with no air conditioning, but that was nobody's fault! The equipment available in terms of cutlery and plates for self-catering was fairly minimal, so don't expect to prepare a meal here, but the fridge was useful for storing food. Overall basic, but perfectly adequate - we would stay again if passing through.
Review 13:It felt really unsafe for a family with young children. Not enough lighting outdoors and no staff available from 8pm. Also, the area it's open for anyone to access your car and property which feels really unsafe when in the middle of the forest.
Review 14:The view
Review 15:Very stuffy, difficult to get air moving through the cabin on the night we were there.
Review 16:Location great with fab views of the viaduct and walkable into Millau. Space in cabin was OK. Extremely hot and stuffy though, difficult when weather hot and no breeze. Would be good value accommodation for a week, tho we only stayed one night. Swimming pool lovely.
Review 17:The structure is quite basic. The room seems to be in a garage. No Air Conditioning.
Review 18:Good position: easy access from main roads and close to Millau village. Good view on the Viaduct. Swimming pool, even if I didn't have the chance to use it
Review 19:We booked a log cabin with a view but ended up in a block of chalet rooms at the back with no view. Very disappointing indeed and spoiled our visit. Why do the hotels take no notice of guests requests on the booking form
Review 20:The gentle man who booked us in was very nice but could do nothing about the room.
Review 21:We understood there was no air conditioning, however the only ventilation was through a fully opened window at ground level which offered poor security. This room is an extremely poor option in hot weather. Booked at premium rate six months ago, we were not offered the current nightly rate for people who arrived without booking.
Review 22:This is a beautiful area and the bridge is quite spectacular.
Review 23:The breakfast was disappointing in quality
Review 24:We liked having a self contained chalet with Cooking/fridge and decking area. Well-located for walking into town, and view of viaduct. Outdoor pool, though we didn't use due to weather. Manager was cheerful and friendly with good advice on what to see. We particularly recommend Gorges du Tarn and Roquefort (for cheese).
Review 25:Helpful manager, clean room with very comfortable beds. Shower room was a good size for a handicapped person with a good stable chair for the shower/wet room. Easy straightforward wifi. Easy to find
Review 26:the most dated houses in our trip. squeaky beds, doors, uncomfortable chairs, no table on the terrace (and inside too hot with no air conditioning)
Review 27:location is beautiful
Review 28:The room was very basic, which was ok. But the walls were unclean and the shower was dirty. We only stayed one night, so put up with it.
Review 29:It was in a good spot, handy for town
Review 30:The gym equipment was old ad not well serviced .beds where hard but actually I prefer it others may not . No secure parking and not 24hr reception .need to provide a wash and dry cloth in the kitchen .
Review 31:I liked the staff and the location and the accomadtion was simple but more than adequate according to the budget
Review 32:Room was small and very cheaply presented without curtains and a tiny blind. Sheets were clean but bedding, pillows and bed unacceptably poor.
Review 33:Although we had paid we didn't stay after seeing room.
Review 34:Picture of the bridge in the promotional material makes it appear closer than actually is .
Review 35:Stayed in lodge - basic but very comfortable. Supermarket less than 2 minutes walk .
Review 36:Nothing.
Review 37:Easy to find location with plenty of free parking. Cabin was basic but gave you plenty of room. Would stay here again. Short walk into town where you have plenty of choice for food.
Review 38:Beds in the chalets are too low and the mattresses almost uncomfortable. The chalets are not equipped for people in wheelchairs. I could not connect to the WIFI even in the common grounds. and when I did the signal was very low. The breakfasts are too expensive for what there are.
Review 39:I am with reduced mobility and the staff was helpful with it. The staff was also extremely helpful in helping out in what to see and do in the area. The person in charge was very professional and kind,
Review 40:Some of the interior furnishings are more like a Mobile home/Caravan , i.e. small and plasticy. But everything worked OK...
Review 41:Nice chalets in a great location overlooking the town with the famous bridge in the distance. Helpful staff.
Review 42:WiFi was iffy in the chalet (but perfect & fast in reception) Hot water tank has a small capacity.
Review 43:Guy on reception was very friendly & helpful. Upgraded us to a cabin Hotel has views of Viaduct, fiver & town. River is 100 metres away Will prob stay there on our way back if we coose that route
Review 44:Could not park the car by the side of cabin, there was some road noise, the kitchen needs a toaster.
Review 45:We stayed in a cabin and there was much more room than in a hotel room, we traveled with our dog and the grounds were good for walking him. There was lots of hot water.
Review 46:The hotel was easy to find. No-one was present at the reception but I had received a e.mail, a telephone call and notes were left directing us to the correct chalet. Everything was clean and in order. The heating had been left- on and there was plenty of hot water. The following morning the man on duty was helpful and gave us a fantastic rcommendation for a resto to lunch. It is called 'au 16' and it is fab. We took breakfast on our second day and it was good value for money. This is a great place to view the Millau Bridge or a great base to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. I am sure we will return.
Review 47:Unable to contact easily during the day to advise late arrival. Rooms dull and not immediately inviting. Not sure that we would use the property a second time.
Review 48:Great breakfast and staff in the coffee shop. Excellent value. Made the stay for us. Rooms clean and the bed basic but very comfortable. A good night's sleep.
Review 49:Was a bit out of downtown Millau to walk to resaurants, etc but short drive was managable.
Review 50:Relaxed atmosphere in a good setting which was easy to locate and had good parking. Staff were friendly and breakfast good. Very good rates for the standard of accommodation provided.
Review 51:Gap under the door to the room which led to the outside. A bit concerned that we could have unwanted insects in the room.
Review 52:Quiet location with good views but only a short walk over footbridge over the river to Millau old town. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Review 53:Was mistakenly charged for an extra breakfast.
Review 54:Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet location in personal cabins. Lovely view of surrounding gorges and Millau Bridge.
Review 55:Towels provided but no obvious soap.
Review 56:Chalet accommodation included roomy main room with balcony and nice kitchen. Shower area huge! Master bedroom a little small but didn't need to have everything in there. Breakfast excellent.
Review 57:To be greeted personally by name after exhausting all day drive was just fabulous! Stunning views and great location - so much better than typical hotel location. Yes, they are fairly basic cabin style units but the beds were more comfortable than some more expensive hotels we have stayed at and the view of the bridge is fantastic. Overall excellent value for money & highly recommend for stop over purposes.
Review 58:It is really expensive for what you get. These are very very basic facilities. I had the feeling that we were just camping and had paid a lot for it. Shower is a joke, you wash yourself in the middle of the bathroom and water stays there from the day you arrive until you leave, right on the place where you put your feet when using the toilet... There is a road really close by and you can ear the cars all night. Rooms are really small, you can hardly pass between the bed and the wall. Breakfast is just ok. We have been to Millau many times before and we know there are better options for less money. Won't be coming back to Hericlea and don't recommend this place.
Review 59:Staff was really really kind and helpful. We enjoyed a lot meeting the people in there and the suggestions they gave us on what to see and do around Millau. Location is also a plus as you are 5 min walking distance away from the center. But that's it!
Review 60:Huts were a bit stuffy. Light didn't work in living room.
Review 61:Proximity to bridge. There was also a McDonald's within walking distance. OK for a one night stopover if travelling further south. Children thought the place was awsome!
Review 62:Breakfast was awful, and not worth the 7.5 Euros, which was extra. Pricy with just 1 adult and 2 kids. better for larger families
Review 63:Location close to town Pool Cabin was a good alternative to a hotel room.
Review 64:The cabin had been in the sun (30 degrees) all day. Therefore the small bedrooms - without fan or AC-felt like a sauna. It was impossible to sleep in them.
Review 65:The cabin was fine and comfortable for a family of 5. The pool was also very nice after a long day in the car.
Review 66:nothing
Review 67:Location is good for a overnight stay,as Millau is a great town to visit while passing through. The hotels facilities are good, and the pool handy after a long journey.
Review 68:Was a little further to walk into town than we thought...
Review 69:Loved the view of the bridge..
Review 70:Beds are very uncomfortable. No egg for breakfast.

Review 80:Signage to the location was poor
Review 81:Location Facilities Accomodation
Review 82:A good hotel in fine location. Facilities maybe not so extraordinary, but houses are specious, clean and they have terraces. Very good breakfast.
Review 83:We only stayed overnight but would like to stay longer very good position for river walking and town
Review 84:within walking distance of the river and town
Review 85:The pool after a very long hot day riding a motorcycle and location being only a short walk to town
Review 86:A little noises from road traffic,
Review 87:Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed. Fab walk to evening in town. Good parking for motorbike
Review 88:great location near tunnel and sea. separate room with bunk beds for children good kitchenette facilities
Review 89:Didn't not like anything really. It was all adequate.
Review 90:Very convenient for visiting Millau historic centre 10 mins pleasant walk. Swimming pool. Views of Millau viaduct
Review 91:Location and good pool
Review 92:Uncomfortable, unfriendly, dated and dirty; stuffy rooms with no airconditioning or fan.
Review 93:The view of the viaduct and mountains from veranda.
Review 94:The location and swimming pool.
Review 95:Difficult to find.
Review 96:Very friendly staff. Comfortable and quiet. Possible to use swimming pool and gym.

Review 114:Not an easy walk to town
Review 115:View across to the town from the verandah was good.

Review 118:nice walk into the city.
Review 119:Dirty smelled really bad
Review 120:The chalet accommodation is basic but well equipped and excellent value for money for a short stay.
Review 121:3pm book in
Review 122:The room was very good
Review 123:No booking received from booking.com, language barrier made it more difficult than needed. g
