Reviews for Hotel Miramar
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Very good location with walking distance to Monaco - 3 km along the sea or you can take a bus. It goes every 15 minutes. Room is clean, smaller, but big enough to feel comfortable, air contidioning works properly, the view of the sea from big furnished terrace(one sunbed, table, two chairs) is great. The receptionist woman is really very nice and helpful .
Review 3:very light breakfast but included so no real complaints.
Review 4:The staff so helpful and very nice- spoke english. The location was right in front of the bus stop so great for hopping on to go to nice or monaco. Also right next to the path that leads to the best beach in the area (in my opinion) about a 7 min walk.
Review 5:No hotel parking, but we found a parking spot in a nearby side street.
Review 6:Location (5 minutes to Monaco), big room, ocean view, breakfast included in room rate.
Review 7:Beds spreads a little dated.
Review 8:Lovely location good walk by beach to Monaco. Lovely Owner, great Air conditioning and shutters. Sleep very well with the shutters closed and air con on a little.
Review 9:A wonderful option in the Monte Carlo area. Hotels here can be ridiculously expensive, but this one offered views of the Mediterranean, rooms with balconies, free breakfast and wifi, and wonderfully friendly service, all for a very affordable price. Right out the front door of the hotel is a public bus that takes you right to the heart of Monaco. It couldn’t have been easier. And you can walk down a long hill to a seaside path, where you can walk along the rocks of the Riviera. I highly recommend this town and this hotel to anyone who wants to spend some time on the French Riviera and visit Monaco. I find this area to be either really expensive or pretty sleezy, but Cap d’Ail and this hotel in particular were just lovely, and for a great price.
Review 10:I stepped off the bus and into the hotel, perfect. Staff were very friendly, speaking perfect English which made things very simple with directions and helpful tips. Very convenient and regular bus service to Monaco or Nice. Take a room with balcony as it provides a nice view over the sea and sitting area. Comfortable bed, good bathroom with a great shower.
Review 11:Nothing.
Review 12:The hotel owner making us feel very welcome. Location and views superb.
Review 13:No dedicated parking, but public car park across the road which worked out OK on our schedule.
Review 14:Welcome. Room. Breakfast. Location
Review 15:no eggs for breakfast
Review 16:excellent location, nice view, staff with good sense of humor, flawless purity, family atmosphere
Review 17:great location, Close to Monaco, helpfull staff. Nice view from veranda, Close to parking and restaurants
Review 18:Very friendly staff
Review 19:low wifi signal, could not read email :(
Review 20:excellent nice house lady, good location, bus to Monaco at the door,
Review 21:staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy access to Monaco.
Review 22:The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great position. Rooms were clean but a bit dowdy.
Review 23:Simples breakfast options
Review 24:The view, the location (NEAr monaco) and very helpfull staff
Review 25:Great location nice sea path/walk easy distance from Monaco.
Review 26:small room, recepetion closed after 20:00
Review 27:nice private balcony with ocean view, not far away from nice or monaco.
Review 28:The bed was a bit small but then my husband and I are taller than average.
Review 29:The location is fantastic. Hotel Miramar is located in Cap D'ail which is only about a 10 minute bus ride to Monte Carlo. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. You can also walk to the public beach in 15 minutes, and there is a lovely sea promenade walk about 10 minutes away. There are also quite a lot of good eating options in the village for different budgets. The breakfast is great...ham, cheese, fresh croissants, brown crusty bread and as much coffee as you wanted to drink. We had a very private balcony with a sea view. Staff very friendly and gave excellent service. Spotlessly clean. It seemed there were mainly French people staying there, tourists haven't gotten onto what a little gem it is for the price.
Review 30:Beds not to comfy. We did pick a bad time as the taxi cabs went out on strike and then the trains went on strike. We had five buses go right past us as they were full, we had to walk to Monaco and it was really hot.
Review 31:The view was great, breakfast great.
Review 32:If I were being fussy I would say I didn't like the interior, but the friendliness of staff and overall experience meant it became irrelevant.
Review 33:Beatrice was charming and extremely welcoming. Although the interior is dated the room had a fantastic shower, was clean and had the benefit of a wonderful balcony where we could enjoy breakfast and sea views. We would definitely go back.
Review 34:Staff very helpful and proactive. Great value. Fantastic views from nice balcony in the rooms facing the sea. Good public bus stop right outside. Easy journey into Monaco
Review 35:Old tired building and furniture. Breakfast very poor. Had to wait for 5 min. to get hot water to shower. For half of the price this can be compared with an expensive hostel. Oh and sea view. Only if you stand up and see it through a small window far far away.
Review 36:Very little.
Review 37:Cap d"Ail is a great location for visiting the "big" cities and areas without "breaking the bank". Bus stops virtually at the door to go to Monaco or Nice. Lovely views and friendly welcome. Miramar is not 5 star, but very pleasant.
Review 38:The balcony was not so nice but the view made it much better. So don't expect any luxury. Just to stay a night for Monaco and move along on your trip.
Review 39:Good alternative when you want to visit Monaco. There is a lovely walking path along the sea to get in Monaco in 45 minutes. Or get the bus and arrive in 15 minutes. The hotel is basic but value for money in this area.
Review 40:Be careful with closing the sliding door behind you if going out onto balcony, as there is no way to open it from the outside!
Review 41:Excellent location Fantastic staff Good atmosphere Beautiful beach
Review 42:Curtain is too thin which could not block the light in the early morning.
Review 43:Stayed here with my husband for 3 nights in July. Staff could speak fluent English and are nice and very helpful. Hotel located in a quiet town with easy access to Monaco by bus within 10 minutes. Bus stops to different places located just in front of Hotel. Nearby sea side is so beautiful and attractive. Guest room is quiet and clean, with adequate size and partial sea view. Wash room is quite small but equipped with shower with high water pressure. Breakfast is good with variety of choice. Recommend.
Review 44:Stayed for 3 days and was sorry to leave, could easily have spent a weekor longer here. The lady on the reception who is also the owner waslovely, very helpful and friendly and spoke great English as our Frenchis limited to say the least. We had a parking space at the rear of thehotel that is owned by them although this cannot be reserved but therealways seemed to be a free place even in July when we went. The bus stopinto Monte carlo is very easy and regular literally outside the door. The walk down to the beach is pleasant but quite hard in the heat as itis all steps with no access for cars, but great when you get there. Webooked a room with a balcony overlooking the sea with outstanding views, well worth trying to get one of these rooms. Will definitely try to getback here at some point.
Review 45:Hotel Miramar, is located about 3 klm from Monaco in Cap d Ail, thehotel is clean roomy and great staff. We were able for 1 euro catch thebus into Monaco located directly out front of the Hotel and walk backvia a trail along the beach front. Mala beach is a 2min walk away.
Review 46:All very good.
Review 47:Most friendly and helpful staff we have encounted so far. Would recommend this hotel for its large balcony with amazing ocean views. located high on a main road with a bus stop at front door where the bus ride is only 3 kms from Monaco. Good value for money.
Review 48:Rooms were comfortable and clean but in need of some updating but this is reflected in the price which was good value for the area.
Review 49:Arrived at Hotel Miramar to a warm welcome from owner who was very helpful and friendly. Parking convenient behind hotel. Great location fairly central between Nice and Monaco and easy bus access into Monaco. We had a nice balcony overlooking the sea. We were only booked in for one night but I would definately stay there again.
Review 50:Not a problem for us but it needs to be noted that the walk up from the train station is quite a steep one.
Review 51:Great location so close to Monaco. The coastal walk is lovely. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet basic comfortable room. Would definitely stay again.
Review 52:The heating was on in my room which I could not control. It was uncomfortably hot, and because there was a storm, I couldn't open the window. The curtains are too thin. Even at night the room was too bright because of the street lights. Reception closes at 9pm
Review 53:Lovely staff - great hotel.
Review 54:Not really a criticism - it offers a typical breakfast of croissants, cold meat and cheese with breads and coffee.
Review 55:Very helpful and friendly male receptionist who advised us of the route to the small and delightful shingle Mala Beach accessed by steps from a side road below the hotel. He also let us know about Monaco which we were visitng the next day taking to 100 bus from almost outside the hotel. The stop is 'Beaverbrook' on return from Monaco and the journey costs 1 euro. We were able to have rooms on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the sea which was lovely although rather too hot to sit out even in October. Useful that there is a lift. Good that it has air conditioning which we needed to sleep at night. You could choose to have breakfast on your balcony which would be nice occasionally.
Review 56:Cleanliness of bathroom could have been better
Review 57:Spacious, comfortable room. Reasonable bathroom. Lovely continental breakfast with excellent coffee and croissant - fresh and tasty. Breakfast room had some nice photos and pictures. Location of hotel convenient for Monaco and Cap D'Ail itself is scenic. Friendly staff
Review 58:Hotel is expensive but still (one of) the cheapest near Monaco but in myopinion it's hard to get better than this (only if you want luxury likeswimming pool etc.)
Review 59:The reception at the hotel was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfastwas more than decent (especially for what I'm used to in France). Bus toMonaco (€ 1,-) leaves in front of the hotel.
Review 60:The hotel was lovely and the people there very nice! Perfect placenearby Monte Carlo and also with nice beaches around. I wouldn't mind atall to go back there.
Review 61:The lack of shutters / fully darkening curtains on the windows meant itwas very light in the room(street lamp nearby so also at night).
Review 62:Reasonably priced for the location I chose the Miramar over others intown because it offered "sea-side" rooms & so not on the road which asexpected was quite busy. Although pictured with balconies I believe nobalconies are available. Our room was a large corner room with twowindows and a sofa bed (probably family room). Parking available acrossthe road on public car park (fee) but also six spaces for hotel guestbehind hotel (first come bases). Staff very helpful.
Review 63:The room was rather small and there was no fridge
Review 64:The lady on reception was very helpful and spoke exellent English andmade us feel very welcome. The room had tis own private balcony with themost fantastic view and a sun lounger!
Review 65:The breakfast buffet could have a few more options, but the quality wasvery good!
Review 66:The friendliest staff and best service that I have seen in a verylongwhile (including much higher priced venues!) The seaview was great!Given the location, this hotel is a real steal!
Review 67:A bit expensive, but I guess this is it in this area close to Monaco. The toilet in-suite little and noisy.
Review 68:Very friendly staff and nice-looking hostel in general. Comfortablebedroom and very good views to the coast-sea. Monaco is just 5-10minutes by car, and there is also a little beach 15 min walk.
Review 69:More attention could be paid to cleaning bathroom and toilet. eg cleaning of floor behind doors, and spills, drips on toilet walls and behind door!
Review 70:good value for money with breakfast included. Location was great, bus stop at front door to Nice, Monaco. Quiet Hotel.
Review 71:The bed was not as comfortable as I wished.
Review 72:The location was excellent for spending one day in Monaco and it was affordable. The breakfast buffet was very good and staff were very helpful.
Review 73:Very friendly staff!
Review 74:Friendly staff, located right infront of the bus stop, clean toilets, beds are comfortable, breakfast is great, very french
Review 75:Room was very clean and staff was very nice and helpful. Bus to Nice or Monaco just in front of the entrance.
Review 76:We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who take pride in the cleanliness of their hotel.
Review 77:the mattress and pillows were basic and not confortable
Review 78:staff was really friendly. location was perfect. stay was good value for money.
Review 79:There were ants in the room.
Review 80:It is near the beach and has a good sea view. The room is fairly big.
Review 81:The staff has been very kind and made everything to make us as comfortable as possible
Review 82:Very friendly and personal close to Monaco close to La Pineda restaurant- excellent
Review 83:Clean comfortable room. Lady at reception excellent and went out of her way to assist us and ensure we had everything we required.
Review 84:The staff is very nice. We had a nice sea view. Very close to Monte Carlo. There is a wonderful trail by the water that is worth seeing!
Review 85:The room was not that big, but very cosy
Review 86:Excellent view, great balcony and very friendly staff!
