Review 1：The hotel is in a great location just a minutes walk from the Balcon . The staff are very friendly and helpful,rooms are spotless and the beds are super comfy.

Review 7：Exceptionally clean hotel, welcoming staff and the location was right in the centre of nerja, with a beautiful Cobh beach just minutes away. The food in hotel was very cheap and very nice. I would stay here again.

Own parking space in a secure part of the municipal parking garage for Balcon de Europe. We parked in the municipal garage in order to check in. (0.80 euro). They will give you a garage door opener for the Mena Plaza section of the garage. Room balcony nice, facing plaza and east so pleasant morning sun. Lots of children in plaza during late afternoon which was pleasant. Usually quieted down by 7-8.

Review 22：We were not aware that on the week we stayed there was a local festival for five days. A marque was set up outside our hotel and concerts performed they started at midnight and the music was very loud. This was not something the hotel could control but if I had known I would not have stayed that week as the music did not stop until 2am. I was looking for a quiet holiday which I got once the festival ended. The staff were very apologetic but unable to stop the event as it was held by the local government in that location for the first time. Hopefully it will be held somewhere else next year.

Being 5 months pregnant it took away the purpose of our break which was to relax

Review 45：This was the 4th hotel we stayed at during our 3 week trip to Spain so are comparing the standard to the other hotels we stayed - would have liked that the sheets were changed once (we stayed there for a week, using the same bedding), also towels were not always changed, although we placed them in the shower (as advised). Having said that, I am looking for faults, as we do love this hotel.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and always smiling. The rooms were cleaned every day with towels changed daily. Pool area was very quiet and relaxing. Mena Plaza was so near to the Balcon de Europe but still on a lovely quiet plaza so no noise at night time. Overall I thought this hotel was just fabulous for being right in the centre of Nerja. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 56：Great hotel in the perfect location in Nerja. We were able to get around with ease-- could be at the beach or restaurants in a matter of minutes. The family room we had was very large and had two bathrooms which was great. Loved the pool on the roof-- used it every day. Staff were great and took the time to explain and help us with anything we needed.

Review 58：This hotel was a great find for us. The location is excellent, staff are very friendly and helpful and bar/cafe was a lovely place to eat or have a drink in day or night. The pool is small but never too busy so very adequate. We had a family room which was like an apartment...two bedrooms,two bathrooms, large balcony and spacious entrance area...plenty of room for us and our 16 and 17 year old teenagers.

Review 63：A lot of reviews were concerned about the noise in the bedrooms/corridors but it wasn't that bad. So if you're not a light sleeper the hotel is just super. If you are a very light sleeper you may have to rethink. However it really wasn't bad at all

Review 64：THe pillows were a little flat, but hotel provided two extra ones the next day. Be careful not to close the balcony door when outside as it locks behind you!! luckily we had friends staying nearby to rescue us :)

The room was clean and modern with comfy beds, a handy fridge and a great bathroom (very powerful shower). The breakfast was varied and tasty - just what you need to set you up for the day. And served later at weekends! The staff even arranged a special breakfast when we had to leave early on our last day. And the rooftop pool! Amazing! A nice size and with stunning views. Location wise, you couldn't be in a better place. Just a stone's throw to the Balcon de Europa and lots of nice bars and restaurants. Highly recommend Oliva, a fab restaurant across from the hotel. All in all, you can't go wrong at Mena Plaza. Great value. Don't be put off by the two stars - it deserves more for sure! I'll definitely return to Nerja and choose the Mena Plaza again.
