Reviews for La Maison Tupinier
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:The House was just magnificent as you arrived you first went through a garden which to us was like a secret garden which led you to another world.Greeted like someone who was like a member of his family. There was absolutely nothing you could find fault with.
Review 3:The Chambre d"hote is like a little oasis in the centre of Cluny. The owner is very gracious and very helpful, he could not do enough to help us. The place is beautiful and a joy to stay in.
Review 4:An extraordinary setting: real antique desk and chest from the XVIII century right in our (very spacious) bedroom along with an excellent huge bed. The entire house feels like a cozy lived-in museum! And it's only a 2mn walk from the abbey's entrance. It's quiet with a lovely garden. Not to be missed.
Review 5:Gateway is found behind shubbery!
Review 6:An interesting town located on the rail line. Luc is an excellent host and the 16th century house restoration a credit to him.
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:A fantastic find. A delightful, antique filled house, tucked away in a gorgeous rose garden very close to the Abbey in Cluny. Very welcoming host and lovely breakfast. The high ceilings and stone floors were perfect for keeping cool in the glorious weather we had. There is a public car park right next door which made the journey very easy for us. Its not a hotel so don't expect hotel facilities, but was the perfect b&b!
Review 9:La Maison Tupinier is more than we could have possibly wish for. Beautiful, serene, lovely garden, funny and helpful host, antiques that are lovely and usable, a generous amount of space.
Review 10:The host was just fabulous. We found monsieur so full of history and knowledge. We just adored talking to him and would love to return and spend an evening chatting! Our room was gorgeous and so full of history and gorgeous antiques. The little town of Cluny is very cute too and of course there is also the Abby, which is amazing.
Review 11:La Maison Tupinier was rather run down and need a little care. When we arrived they were still cleaning the room although it was very late in the day. The grounds need to be a little more manicured as were rather run down. The room area was fairly clean given the oldness of the bed and breakfast. We were only at the location for one night and that was probably a good thing as it was probably the worst place that we stayed in our 3 1/2 weeks through Europe and of the 17 accomodations that we stayed in.
Review 12:The location was good although very hard to find.
Review 13:Leaving and coming home!!
Review 14:With lovely, large, well-appointed rooms, a beautiful garden and the wonderful M. Luc's eclectic collection of antiques, art and curios, La Maison Tupinier is an oasis for travellers. We received a wonderful welcome and were looked after like honoured friends- definitely returning.
Review 15:What a fantastic place! It was an absolute joy to stay here. The house is exquisite- full of interesting antiques. The garden is a haven of tranquility and the host is someone very special. He was so kind and interesting and made our stay so enjoyable. This is a unique place to stay and I hope to re-visit as soon as possible!
Review 16:Everything, the room was very large, there is a lounge also. The host was very nice and the garden very pleasant in the centre of the town. It is well worth it.
Review 17:Maintenance rather haphazard - one leg of bed broken, door handle loose and only half of shaving light working
Review 18:Right in the centre of town, near Abbey. Very friendly owner. Delicious breakfast.
Review 19:Not a thing:))
Review 20:Mr Tupinier is an wonderful host, kind and generous. The rustic house is well appointed with all you need for a very comfortable stay. The gorgeous furniture and paintings add to its charm and warmth. It's not prissy but it is delightful. Well located to all tourist attractions and restaurants.
Review 21:The breakfast was minimal. No meat or cheese, but very good breads. Wi-Fi didn't work.
Review 22:Being less than 100 m from the Abbey, le Maison Turpinier was a perfect location with garden access to the Abbey. The owner was knowledgeable about the district and helped us with directions. The room was beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable.
Review 23:Nothing really
Review 24:The owner, who ran this 16th century house, was charming, interesting, friendly and most helpful---an excellent host. This slightly unusual property had been sympathetically modernised and had been tastefully and stylishly furnished. Our stay there was just right; we had a lovely room, access to a very comfortable drawing room and had a delicious breakfast.
Review 25:This was a beautiful old building furnished with art and antiques by the owner who was friendly and genuine. Breakfast was served in the garden on china plates that were matched and silver and glass that could only have been acquired over time by someone w a discerning eye. The bedroom was large and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and highly functional w a great shower and a marble sink and tiled and painted w care.
Review 26:Nothing ... all was better than fine!
Review 27:The room was utterly charming -- the upper room of a 15th n-century building, with lovely antique furnishings and quite modern washroom facilities. The owner was delightfully friendly, accommodating on timing for breakfast and what he offered. He was helpful in many regards besides. If I were ever in Cluny again, I would hope to stay in exactly the same place!
Review 28:Finding the hotel was difficult as the entrance is not on the street listed. The entrance is located in the back off of a public parking lot.
Review 29:Room was huge by any standards. We had access to a kitchen and an additional setting area that was adjacent to our room. The owner only takes in guests for 3 rooms. He never takes walk ins. He is fun to speak with in English or French. He also speaks Italian. This is a great value for the money.
Review 30:nice chat with the owner during breakfest, perfect location.
Review 31:nothing
Review 32:It was so different. A beautiful house and garden and of course the lovely border collie
Review 33:Room was on the street so was a bit noisy

Review 43:Basically, everything! - the idiosyncratic charm of the owner, the unique character of the property, the helpfulness of the adjacent parking, the central yet quiet position and the interest in the amazing assortment of furniture and objects around the property, Finally the English cottage garden.
Review 44:Delicious breakfast at large mahogany dining table. Beautiful china, just out of the oven croissants, fresh fruit and wonderful coffee. Very clean and comfortable.
Review 45:Our host was exceptionally kind in waiting up for us when we were very late arriving. Also very charming with good English and Italian. House full of antiques and bric-a-brac. Would definitely return.
