Reviews for Vistabella

Review 1:All four restaurants were never open together, giving less choice. Also, it stated when we booked that the beach bar would close September, this we presumed would be the end of September, but it close at the start of the third week.

Review 2:The view and the room were excellent.

Review 3:If you were not a couple the shower open to the entire room would be awkward.

Review 4:Stunning location with amazing sunsets, luxurious accommodations and friendly cheerful helpful staff. The food was excellent both for breakfast and in the two restaurants we ate in (the tapas restaurant and Balco del Mar). Easy access to the coastal trail. Lovely terraza for relaxation day and night.

Review 5:This is a beautiful hotel, somewhat secluded from the typical bustle of the Costa Brava. The room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking the sea. We ate in the tapas bar and the Mediterranean restaurant, both of which had excellent food and service. All the hotel staff that we met were charming and multilingual.

Review 6:It's really 4 stars hotel, the furniture and the bathroom are old, it makes the charge for night very high. the door between the room and bathroom has clear glass which is not comfortable, there is no dividers on the balcony so it's one balcony( garden view) for all rooms.

Review 7:The food is very good, naive view. We left the hotel at 7 am and the staff prepared the breakfast only for two of us.

Review 8:Fairly expensive for the hotel restaurants and drinks etc.,

Review 9:Lovely views, hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, exceptional breakfast buffets!

Review 10:I had to add 2 sachets of sugar to my (only) gin and tonic because there was far too much lemon.

Review 11:The views are world class and the service was superb. The overall experience was relaxing. We liked breakfast and the Tapas restaurant for lunch.

Review 12:Pool and spa area are not at the level you could expect from a 5 stars hotel, however that's understandable because of the construction limitations they have based in the location.

Review 13:Staff and location are fantastic. Room with sea view is really worthy.

Review 14:Sometimes it was hard to get information about where to get beach towels, how to rent boats, where the different facilities were. We figured it all out but it could have been a bit easier.

Review 15:The location is lovely along the coast, with views of cliffs and blue waters abounding. We loved running along the coastal path each morning. The food offerings were perfect with complete breakfasts, relaxing lunches, and a Michelin star dinner restaurant which was amazing. The staff was very helpful and cheerful.

Review 16:Disappointed with the Michelin Star restaurant. While the service and views were excellent, thought the the food offering unimaginative and average. Found better food quality and price just around the corner right on the beach.

Review 17:Location was excellent. Many great areas to relax without a croud. Easy access to a small beach with a great bar right on the Med. Also the venue for the Sunday Moet party if you were so inclined - we were.

Review 18:Although we did not eat in Five star restaurant both the Tapas Bar and the Balco de Mere were extremely disappointing and not a worthy alternative for evening dinner in a five star hotel. The other restaurants were closed. The bedroom was fine but not upgraded as in the website photos and pillows very hard. The full size window into the bathroom was an interesting idea?

Review 19:The position and afternoon and evening sun in the room.

Review 20:After a long and tiring business travel I had a day off before returning home. While searching for a hotel I came across the Vistabella and it was all I could wish for: excellent location, amazing service, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is right at the Sea given you a perfect break from the routine.

Review 21:The sound proofing between rooms is poor considering our neighbours were reasonably quiet - plumbing noises were the most disturbing. We were fortunately there out of season. The hot breakfast buffet was cold although there was the option of freshly cooked omelettes etc..

Review 22:The location was wonderful - we had an overnight stay en rout to UK having docked at Barcelona at 20.00 hrs in late October. The rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard. On site basement car park at a €20 overnight charge. Staff were excellent and all facilities were very clean.

Review 23:A bit awkward to "rent" beach towels and be warned that if we do not return them at the reception, we will be charged 15 Euros per towel.

Review 24:Extremely helpful staff, wonderful views from our room, or rather from everywhere, choice of restaurants including the Michelin-starred Els Brancs. I wish we could have stayed longer than the three days we had.

Review 25:Modern rooms with beautiful view, delightful stuff, nice beach, beds on the terrace to relaxe, cleanness - just a perfect place to relaxe for a few days

Review 26:From 4 pm to 8 pm daily the water front bar played extremely loud techno music making any conversation impossible around the hotel. The bar predominantly catered for locals arriving by own boats (spraying Moet et Chandon), not for the hotel guests. Forget about enjoying the sunset from once's own balcony. The only way to get away from the noise was to lock oneself up in the room, or leave the hotel and return after 8 pm. I will not return to this establishment. Very poor value

Review 27:The staff was friendly

Review 28:In an hotel of this quality you really don't expect the guests to be putting towels out on sun beds and then going back to their rooms. Admittedly we had the penthouse suite so had our own sun bed but we only stayed one night and after breakfast wanted to linger a while on the terrace, except the seats/beds were covered with towels and personal belongings but no evidence of people.

Review 29:Pretty much everything, except:

Review 30:The Micheline starred restaurant Els Branvs couldn't manage unexpected storm during our dinner and our dining experience turned into disappointing and very expensive supper as we were relocated from the restaurant tarace to the hotel bar.

Review 31:Location was excellent and service was very good. Room with balcony overlooking Bay of Roses was very enjoyable . The local small beach next to the hotel was perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Review 32:Unfortunately a couple of times we were unable to get into the beach bar but this was due to its popularity. On one occasion only champagne was being served which my husband does not drink so we were unable to join in the fun.

Review 33:The hotel is just outside Roses and the setting is beaultiful although Roses itself did not look very appealing. We stayed for four nights and felt totally relaxed. The staff were delightful and so helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 34:Unfortunately although our room had a wonderfull view the design of the bedroom did not suit us at all The shower and toilet were located in the bedroom with a transparent door to the shower and an opaque door to the toilet we would much prefer these facilities in a separate room

Review 35:We loved the resort , wonderful location with so much to watch on the ocean Nothing was too much trouble for the staff

Review 36:Can't fault it! We loved our stay!

Review 37:Absolutely amazing place!!! Little piece of heaven! Plenty of food options available for all sorts of budgets within the hotel and a very short walk to surrounding restaurants. We loved the salads down at the beach bar!! So refreshing!! The day beds speak for themselves and the private beach is ideal!!

Review 38:Food in Balcon de Mar and La Tapa restaurants uninspiring and only moderate quality. Pre-cooked vegetables ! (Disappointing as main restaurant is Michelin starred.)Small bathroom with stand-in-bath shower with old folding shower screen. Located in unattractive area at far end of Roses, which as a town looked so un-appealing we did not visit.

Review 39:Chic decor. Really attentive, friendly and helpfiul staff. Balconies with great outlook. Good beach bar beside small attractive (though public) beach. Great for a quiet short break

Review 40:An incredible experience ?

Review 41:Restos a little expensive

Review 42:Everything

Review 43:Super location overlooking the bay.

Review 44:Location , view, sea , comfort

Review 45:The beach food is disappointing to say the least There's also a total lack of decent beer Flat draft carlsberg - yuk

Review 46:The setting and the staff

Review 47:A little bit far out of the Village, but really not a big deal

Review 48:Stunning views, lovely restaurants, friendly staff

Review 49:Room design quite simple, would expect more from 5 star hotel

Review 50:Views, location, beach, Michelin star restaurant, staff very helpful, service is good

Review 51:we liked the location, the views, the walks, the restaurants.....a lovely experience

Review 52:Nothing

Review 53:Staff where superb. Very attentive

Review 54:Views + restaurants

Review 55:Great location with excellent facilities and very caring staff. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Review 56:Staff, clean, food great, views awesome . Very comfortable

Review 57:Beautiful hotel, beautiful staff, beautiful location.

Review 58:I think a 5-star hotel should have better pillows and more of them.

Review 59:The views. The locations. The staff.

Review 60:Drink prices Costs of taxis to town Dated room Mediterranean rooms are not to my taste.

Review 61:Views Location

Review 62:Beautiful spot with a very attentive staff.

Review 63:Views. Location. Breakfast. Staff

Review 64:Everything...

Review 65:Nothing!

Review 66:decks aren't that private but it is older design

Review 67:location & a special feel a great place to spoil yourself

Review 68:The views were incredible. Our dinner was truly one of the best meals we have ever had.

Review 69:No latches inside room , room can b opened with master key even if you are in the room

Review 70:Very little to dislike. Slight blemish in our bathroom -1 Only English paper, Express -1 Rioja by the glass, surprisingly only by the bottle. -2 So we only scored it 96/100 !!!!!!!

Review 71:We liked everything. Excellent helpful staff. Stunning location. Very comfortable rooms, bars & lounges. We dined in Els Brancs which fully merited its Michelin star. We have already booked our return visit.

Review 72:We loved everything! As soon as you arrive you feel relaxed. The food is outstanding and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.we have now stayed four times at the Vistabella and we can't wait for our next visit.

Review 73:Tapas restaurant closes at 930, the fitness room is not well equipped and is hidden in a dark room, the music in the bar is on constant repeat. A better gym would make the place ideal.

Review 74:Location, view, service, food, terrace, walk to and from the hotel along the sea (great for jogging), large bed, good wifi throughout, massage, outdoor jacuzzi, excellent breakfast choice, the little beach down at sea

Review 75:Very clean (the cleanest Hotel we have ever stayed in and we do travel a far amount). Beds very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered an upgrade to a suite. Lovely location, very pretty area of Spain. Wonderful views of Bay of Roses. We will return to this Hotel.

Review 76:The weather when we arrived

Review 77:The location with the amazing sea views. The friendliness of the staff, very helpful. We loved our room 216 has great views!

Review 78:We had one dinner in the hotel which was disappointing.

Review 79:Excellent service and helpful and friendly staff. Excellent tapas which we had several times. Very well run hotel which overlooks beautiful bay.

Review 80:The range of food not that good also air conditioner didn't work but we were there in September not to bad

Review 81:The staff were amazing view day beds .you can walk to a great beach and have a meal on the beach

Review 82:Honestly nothing to complain

Review 83:Excellent location, incredible views and delicious food – one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed. The staff is owesome, friendly and very helpful. One of the things that I personally liked the best is the great offer of restaurants. Being a small hotel it offers you 4 different types of restaurants from gourmet to improvised meals, and all of them having excellent local products.

Review 84:The standart room is very old fashioned (70-80' design), not good looking and needs renovation. Strange reception area, not like 5 star hotel. Beds on the beach are very old and you have to take and bring them to place by yourself.

Review 85:Hotel is situated in a fantastic place, with great view on the see and mountains, exactly like on photo. Nice beach. Very nice stuff in restaurant and near entrance.. Sunbeds in hotel.

Review 86:on arrival we were treated by reception in a manner that made me think that they paid me and not that i paid them. Jacuzzi on the terrace did not work and they said they will come to repair it at 1 am ???? as before no one for available for the job, after we unpacked they came to say that we need to move to a different room with a working jacuzzi - they showed the room that was cheaper when i looked it up when i was booking, we refused - we were never offered an apology or discount. The restaurant staff though was very nice and friendly.

Review 87:view and location

Review 88:Too many families and noisy children. Markets as romantic resort, butmany young kids running around, knocking on doors, etc. very differentatmosphere than you might expect from website/photos.

Review 89:Gourmet restaurant

Review 90:Everything...! Heaven on Earth...!

Review 91:Not a thing

Review 92:The views are stunning. Loved relaxing on the sun deck!

Review 93:Nothing not to like

Review 94:The food is fantastic + the friendly Staff just everything.

Review 106:Maybe breakfast a little small...

Review 107:Everything! So Nice really The place you have to be. Un endroit merveilleux
