Reviews for Hotel des Voyageurs

Review 1:Missing light bulbs in public areas. Bed was too soft. The whole place seemed a little tired.

Review 2:Friendly welcome. Secure parking. Good breakfast. Good location.

Review 3:I was there for the 100km race: the hotel is 10 minutes walk from start and finish line so it's perfect. City centre is also close enough for restaurants and bars.

Review 4:Secure parking. Easy check-in and check-out. Very friendly reception. Great parking. Comfy seating downstairs whilst waiting for our friends to be ready. Quiet location with quick access to bars/restaurants and for onward travel.

Review 5:Hotel very dated, tried covering up with lick of paint. Toilet/bathroom doors didn't close as no lock, toilet was a macerator! and noisy. Hallways you had to find a switch to turn lights on. No air con in double room, although a fan was in our second room for children.Whole hotel had an old smell about it. Car park although free was very small,we had reserved a space but it was such a squeeze, kept awake worrying our car was going to get hit. Hotel pictures look better than real life.

Review 6:Knowing that we were only staying for one night. Found bar/takeaway place to eat around the corner, near a campsite. 5 mins drive.French folk ate there too,so knew must be okay. Spoke good English.

Review 7:Reception only open from 4pm, at which point a queue had formed to check in!

Review 8:Really friendly staff and great room with secure hotel car park. I think most people there were only there for the bridge! Good breakfast as well

Review 9:This is a two star hotel, and was an emergency last minute booking, but the family rooms only have one fan, we had an East facing room which was incredibly hot all night, we did open the windows but then you had the lorries and cars passing by with their fumes. So not ideal for us really.

Review 10:Secure parking was ok but car was slightly damaged by another guest who did. Not leave details.

Review 11:Man on desk a right character. Secure parking. Easy check in. No hassle. Great steak and chips across toad in bar. Great river walk within 100m. Millau town short walk. Superb.

Review 12:There was no extractor fan for the toilet and bathroom and no window for ventilation [to allow steam to escape while showering]. The wallpaper in both the bathroom and shower room was peeling away from the walls at ceiling level, I suspect due to the lack of ventilation.

Review 13:The hotel was easily reached from the A75 motorway in Millau. The room was comfortable, the bed was medium/firm, the toilet was separate from the bathroom and there was good storage [a walk in wardrobe!]. The breakfast was average but there was plenty of choice of breads, yoghurts and jams. The reception staff were helpful in supplying a town plan and advice on restaurants.

Review 14:Road noise making for a disturbed night's sleep. Hotel décor tired in places.

Review 15:Staff and location. Free on-site parking and good wifi. A short stroll from the centre of Millau.

Review 16:- Minimalist decoration, reminded me of my university halls of residence! - More of a hostel than a hotel, but that said, great value if you're passing through

Review 17:- Room and bathroom were very clean - Breakfast was great and good value - Staff were friendly - Room was double-glazed and didn't hear any noise from other guests - Closed car parking

Review 18:WiFi would not work in any area of the hotel. Room very dated. We stayed at a time when the temperature was 29 degrees and the lack of air con made the room less comfortable. A fan was supplied but too noisy to use and sleep at the same time

Review 19:Room is clean and as a cheaper hotel is fair value for money. It was handy to have free private parking

Review 20:Place was a little too expensive for the accommodation as it was a bit worn round the edges and in need of a upgrade.

Review 21:The location was good as was breakfast along with good safe parking area.

Review 22:Internet connection wasn't good.

Review 23:Loved the main hall way decoration. Art Deco style - very cool. Room was a good size, basic but with adequate facilities. Parking good, and an easy stroll into the main centre.

Review 24:Lots of trafic, but it was a particularly busy weekend.

Review 25:A decent bed. An excellent breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price.

Review 26:It didn't match the photo on booking .com

Review 27:Excellent breakfast and facilities fine for a short stay.

Review 28:Expensive for the quality

Review 29:Very comfortable bed Helpful staff Relaxed peaceful location

Review 30:The owner was very helpful with directing us around what was happening in Millau during our stay

Review 31:Noisy as by the road, smelly, old, dirty, dusty, dreadful

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:too tired and basic needs facelift and some facilities

Review 34:location

Review 35:Not a bad experience but thought the décor was rather tired.

Review 36:reasonably close to town

Review 37:Basic hotel in Millau. Parking available on site.

Review 38:To much to list everything!

Review 39:Nothing.

Review 40:Expensive for what you get

Review 41:Skvělý personál, vlastní parking

Review 42:Bed was pretty uncomfortable, sagged in the middle a lot.

Review 43:The price, free private secure car parking. Handy location for the gorge du tarn.

Review 44:Bvery shabby room and shower. Loo smelly

Review 45:the welcome

Review 46:totally charmless rooms and useless wifi

Review 47:good breakfast buffet and friendly staff

Review 48:Staff were extremely helpful.neat and clean.

Review 49:Breakfast

Review 50:Location

Review 51:Dated, noise

Review 52:Location and staff

Review 53:The room was nothing special

Review 54:Just a room for the night!! With secure parking

Review 55:Hotel was adequate as a base to tour the area that we wanted to see.

Review 56:Location ideal for what we wanted to do. Excellent Wi-Fi. Room comfortable, and liked that toilet was separate from bathroom.

Review 57:We paid 40 euros, but in peak season this room would be around 70 euros. That is too much for this old hotel, especially because the bed wasn't that good (ok for one night) and the bathroom is very outdated and narrow.

Review 58:Very friendly staff, Convenient location (10 minutes walk into centre) and a good secured parking for the car.

Review 59:Clean bed and a clean room. Great place to stay for one night. Located at the crossroads, and some travellers may not like the noise of passing cars. Responsible staff. Fast Wi-Fi.

Review 60:We got a "Quiet" room - I wouldn't have liked being on the road-side of the hotel! Didn't eat breakfast there - very dear.

Review 61:Rather quaint, but functional for overnight. Good secure parking . Clean, comfortable room - no frills but everything worked well.

Review 62:the room was tired and in need of an update. The shower and toilet facilities were poor

Review 63:It was in the right location and was adequte for a 1 night stay

Review 64:The plumbing. The shower had to be hand held, although a good one. Alsono light in the toilet.

Review 65:We had a large dog with us and were only charged 5 euros for him. Therewas parking at the hotel which was locked during the night, always agood thing in a city.

Review 66:I think the above says it all. It was a very tired hotel. Some effort hadf been made to update in terms of the showers but that was all. It either needed a total refurbishment or pulling down and starting again.

Review 67:In a word nothing. The taps on the sink of the first room I was given had been screwed down so hard I had great difficulty in unscrewing it. Then I couldn't turn it off and it ran constantly. When I asked for another room the reception people admitted the problem and said "the man" was comin g to repair in 2-3 days. Yet they still put me in the room. In the second room one door was missing from the wardrobe. The hotel was situated on the exit of one of the major roads through the city.

Review 68:Good value, rooms reasonable size, secure parking, walk to town centre not far, friendly staff. Convenient if you want to spend some time seeing the Millau viaduct.

Review 69:This was the least welcoming hotel of our stay and as we had to leave early we had to leave without breakfast as they did not start serving until 7:30 the ltest we found on our trip.

Review 70:It was inexpensive, the car parking was reasonable.

Review 71:The plumbing system! it was a little noisy.

Review 72:The staff were very friendly and very helpful even to the extent of helping with a problem with my computer. There was free Wi Fi with easy acess. Location was a ten minute walk from the town centre. Very good value for money, we have stayed in lesser hotels for twice the price. I think that the room we were in had recently been redecorated and was very clean but the building itself is a little tired.

Review 73:Room (no 48) a bit tired and no air conditioning . Rooms facing awayfrom the main road may be preferable if choice available.Located a 15 minute walk from the centre of Millau.

Review 74:Internet acces actually worked in the room. Most French (budget) hotelsfail in this regard.Broadly fair value for money (sub E40) overall including a standard buffet breakfast. Clean albeit a rather jaded appearance. Dedicated car park. large supermarker around the corner.

Review 75:From the outside it did not look very inviting, the inside was better but the hotel looked tired and in need of a coat of paint and refurbishment.

Review 76:The off road parking and the seperate breakfast room.

Review 77:Clean and comfortable. Closeto town centre. Receptionist provided us with a map without being asked and although she spoke a little English, she let us practise our French without assuming that we wanted to speak in English all the time.

Review 78:This is the worst ever hotel experience I have ever had. I have been inhundreds of hotels, and this is happening to me for the first time. Idrove all the way from Barcelona, with my elderly parents, and arrivedto the hotel at 21:15, very tired. The hotel was completely locked andno light was coming from inside, as if it was totally dead. I tried tocontact the hotel number many times, and finally I could speak to aperson, and she refused to open me the door, and then after a while shepretended that she didn't speak much English and tried to hang up thephone on me. This is such an inhumane behavior, since they alreadycharged the money, they left us outside stranded, with no other hotel insight. My parents who are over 60 really got shocked, so I had adifficult time to convince them that everything was going to be ok. Wedidn't arrive on midnight or anything, it was just a long trip all theway from Barcelona. I find this behavior outrageous and I don'trecommend this hotel to anybody with this terrible customer service!

Review 79:Wifi a bit unreliable, no restaurant

Review 80:Friendly and welcoming staff, clean and good value for overnight stay.

Review 81:Bed was bad

Review 82:Very friendly receptionist. The room was spacey and had solid internal walls so it was quiet and night.

Review 83:It's pretty expensive for what is a very basic hotel. Quite a walk from Millau centre.

Review 84:Lovely owner, fun with my French / her English!

Review 85:No lift and we were on the 2nd floor.

Review 86:it had a private place to park your car.

Review 87:The decor was a little dated however still clean and comfortable

Review 88:The location was good

Review 89:secure carpark that wasn't locked. the secure gate was open all night

Review 90:price & cleanliness

Review 91:The owner was quite helpful with the information about the town and restaurants. Private parking was one of the reasons we chose this hotel.

Review 92:Lovely staff, very polite, nice clean rooms, excellent price.

Review 93:It's a bit old-fashioned and dark inside.

Review 94:Simple, clean, no-frills hotel suitable for a quick overnight stay.

Review 95:Wifi advertised but could not be accessed. a little dated

Review 96:Convenient as a 1 night stop over

Review 97:Bit noisy but...it's budget!

Review 98:Lovely receptionist, good value, easy to find plus secure parking. 20 mins walk from center.

Review 99:The staff were very friendly, the hotel was very well run, immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent.

Review 100:Old building, not so spacy rooms

Review 101:Good value for money. Great location

Review 102:wifi weak signal

Review 103:reasonable price, clean, friendly and great location

Review 104:The location

Review 105:The price

Review 106:vehicular noise during the night.

Review 107:comfortable bed and over all facilities.

Review 108:Nice Hotel at the Centre of the City.

Review 109:Good location, parking on site, easy to find.

Review 110:Basic but comfortable

Review 111:location relative to route

Review 112:none of above the rooms stunk, we asked for air fresh spray they had none. the hotel is dropping to bits

Review 113:Excellent wi fi connection in room. Comfortable bed, hot shower, good secure parking, quiet at night - good value for overnight stay.

Review 114:Een goede rustplaats tijdens lange reis voor een nacht! Qua prijs en doelstelling juiste verhouding.
