Reviews for Résidence Studios Perl
Review 1:Great Location, but it is a studio apartment not a hotel so a review is a little unfair. Small apartment ion traditional colonial building, looks wonderful from the outside. Walking distance to the old town
Review 2:Wonderful staff, even more perfect location of the hotel. Supermarkets, market, close to the sea ..We never thought that the town of Antibes so conquer our hearts. 10 minutes to Cannes, 20 minutes from Nice, 40 minutes to Monaco. And the town itself is just wonderful. Quiet, quiet, clean and comfortable. As in the hotel. It is located in the center. Everything is close by. Wonderful place! We will definitely come back here.. Everything is just great !!!
Review 3:Everything! We were upgraded to a spacious room with a view of the plaza & fully equiped kitchen & large bathroom with tub. Vivienne & Christophe were the kindest hosts we have met. The central location & 10 minute walk from train station are another plus.
Review 4:Our extraordinary host, Christophe, was welcoming, knowledgable and gracious. An excellent central location for exploring Antibes and the Côte d'Azur.
Review 5:A little noisy sometimes from traffic but that's the compromise for the location.
Review 6:Excellent location handy for train station, the old town and good shops. Friendly reception. Well equipped studio.
Review 7:Very small bathroom. No sound proofing or double glazing and on a busy square so much traffic noise and could easily the TV and occupants in adjoining room. We were told the back rooms were quieter. There was no "city view".
Review 8:Excellent location for visiting the area. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 9:Awesome-awesome-awesome. Viviane are Christophe have been so kind and welcoming with us right from the start and even via email after our stay! We booked one of the larger room ( good value for money, highly recommended): -outstanding, private and peaceful view of the square from the 3rd floor (every morning we woke gently up with the sound of the fountains below) -well-equipped kitchen and enough space to cook some meals (and save money for something else). -Bathroom is a bit bigger in this kind of room -AC included -TOP position: supermarket (1 minute), Antibes' beach (10 minutes), bus stop to Cannes or Juan Les Pins just right the corner. The last one within walking distance as well (15/20 mins).
Review 10:Slightly difficult to locate where the apartments are (they are next to Monoprix) Bed Sette was a bit uncomfortable and the air conditioning was a bit noisy during the night but you do get used to it.
Review 11:The Location was brilliant - everything on the doorstep. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for our holiday
Review 12:There wasn't anything I didn't like, the only thing I'd say - the room we had which was opposite the reception office could be noisy when guests were checking out and you could hear the adjacent room's water cistern. However I do have state this did not spoil anything at all for us
Review 13:The location is superb. Vivienne and Christophe are fantastic hosts. The room was spotlessly clean and has everything you need and more to enjoy your self in the Cote D'Azur. cant recommend it enough and we will be back . Super market next door, buses if you want them walking distance to Juan Le Pin and Antibes
Review 14:My only complaint is 5pm check in on weekends is too late. You are paying for almost a day you can't even enter the room.
Review 15:Very central, quiet and great friendly staff. There is a supermarket open 7 days in building beside apartments which was so handy. Our room facing over Place de Gaulle was lovely.
Review 16:Perfect central location within old town. Easy reach of beach. Well appointed room within a beautiful, grand old-style hotel building. Very comfortable beds and an air conditioning unit made soaring temperatures bearable! Christophe, our host, was friendly, kind and knowledgeable which ensured our stay was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 17:Nothing!
Review 18:We were so impressed with location of apartment. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable.don't be put off with the star rating it's perfect value for money.
Review 19:The shower room was ok but perhaps a little small, but didn't spoil our holiday in any way.
Review 20:The location of the apartment was excellent, the apartment was spotless and beautifully clean, and Christophe was extremely helpful and kind.
Review 21:Some people could find mini-bathroom a bit of a squeeze, but ok for average sized people.
Review 22:Central location, beautiful old building, welcoming and friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, supermarket nearby, good prices
Review 23:Basic room Tiny bathroom No air conditioning.
Review 24:Location is great for walking everywhere, the beach, shops, transport. The room was ok but too small for me to recommend to others, the bathroom is literally hard to move in. Also, no air con so particularly warm in summer.
Review 25:Thicker cover would be great. A sheet and very thin cloth could be cold at night time. Sponge to wash dishes and a knife to cut food, spare bin bags would be good. The door is hard to open. Need a bit of push to open / close. Bathroom was very small and we were afraid the cloth shower curtain and floor would get soaked wet but we have read about the reviews beforehand.
Review 26:Location right beside Monoprix. Carpark is next block beside police station. Close to all the shops, cafes, bars and beaches. Good price compare to other accommodations around the area.
Review 27:Bathroom was extremely small. Shower could not have measured much more than 2x2 feet.
Review 28:Great location--10 minute walk from train, easy walk to old town, Monoprix supermarket right next door, plenty of nearby restaurants, secure entry. Our room was away from the street and very quiet except for the birds that "barked" like hyenas occasionally during the night. Kinda funny.
Review 29:most facilities are equipped with a glass shower door, but not this one. The space is very small. A few simple improvements would make it more comfortable
Review 30:easy walk to the old town
Review 31:Walls were a little thin and so when our neighbours awoke at 3am it also woke us up. This only happened once during our stay and was not a big deal.
Review 32:The owners could not have been nicer. The apartment is located less than 10 minutes from the train station and the beach. It is next door to a supermarket and 5 minutes from the busy cafes and restaurants. The apartment looks out onto a lovely square but is quiet at night. This very comfortable apartment is the perfect base to stay in beautiful Antibes.
Review 33:Front apartments are exposed to a high level of noise from the Place du General de Gaulle.
Review 34:Location to the old town, restaurants, supermarket, bus terminal and railway station.
Review 35:Everything you could need (except a washing machine) in the best location of Antibes! I had a small balcony looking onto the place general de gaulle square which was beautiful. Management were super friendly and helpful!
Review 36:Was charged 30 euros as I didn't clean room? I left it how you would leave a hotel room, I left 2 days early but paid for them 2 days do I'm sure they sold the room again as the property was fully booked ,
Review 37:Ensuite facilities could be challenging to larger size individuals.
Review 38:Christope extremely friendly & helpful., top marks. Location right in the centre beside Monoprix supermarket. Great value Would stay again
Review 39:The location was perfect and it was close to the station for visiting other places along the coast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.
Review 40:Christophe was excellent and provided a great service. he was extremely helpful and always ready to help. The apartment itself was very cosy and very quiet. i would highly recommend this place.
Review 41:The bathroom was extremely small though still manageable.
Review 42:Wonderful location in attractive and elegant building overlooking a square with fountains. We were welcomed effusively by Christoph who was a friendly and very helpful host. We enjoyed the view over the square from our window and loved the proximity to the beautiful old part of the city with it's enticing restaurants and narrow winding cobblestone streets.
Review 43:Viviane and Christophe are very nice! We were treated very well the entire time. The location is great and easy to find, and the studio was spacious, clean, quiet, and with everything needed. We would love to stay at Studios Perl again.
Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:A jewel in the heart of Antibes, Cote D'Azure. Perl studios are great place to holiday in, location excellent, perfect host and hostess - Christophe and Vivianne are the most helpful people, nothing too much trouble for them, they make the stay enjoyable. We will be back.
Review 46:Studios Perl had everything we needed for a great holiday in lovely Antibes. Good value, location and choices eg. shop in the excellent market in the old town or eat out in the numerous good restaurants. We would love to return.
Review 47:A lot of noice from the street below in the early morning hours. Shower-area i bit small, but ok!
Review 48:Perfect location for everything, walking around in Antibes, to Juan les Pins, beaches, Vieille Ville etc. Very friendly and welcoming staff (Christophe). Beautiful view of the Square from our room. Nous avons eu un merveilleux séjour. Merci! /Christina & Lars de Suède
Review 49:Amazing place, host was wonderful, friendly and helpful, studio was comfortable, centrally located to have a good time in beautiful Antibes. We loved it!
Review 50:Location very good - in the center of the old town. Beach, port and train station 7-10 minutes walk. Market fruit and fresh fish - 2 min walk The apartments are small, but very cozy and cute. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the restaurant, which is located near the entrance to the staircase. Next entrance - the door of the store where you can buy food and all the necessary I want to thank the owner of apartments for the warm welcome and care - stay in your apartment was really enjoyable!
Review 51:Amazing facade but rooms a little disappointing. Too small, bathroom really small. Rooms clean but need a lot of updating. View from courtyard side onto a supermarket roof, not a pretty courtyard as I imagined. No air on, fan not really adequate. Walls paper thin, very little privacy.
Review 52:Friendly helpful staff, close to old town.
Review 53:Best and very friendly service! Our special thanks to Christophe, who was very helpful for all our requests and small problems. We loved our lovely Studio in this wonderful former Grand Hotel building in the centre of Antibes and the informal atmosphere. Thanks again, Christophe and Viviane! We will be back soon… Julia & Falk from Berlin, Germany
Review 54:Small toilet/shower area , but not a problem.
Review 55:Gentleman at reception was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Location excellent. Studio was fit for purpose and good value for money.
Review 56:The bathroom was tiny, a bit of a problem for taller travellers, but we managed :)
Review 57:Great location of the studios, close to everything important in Antibes. Wonderful friendly and caring staff. The bed was comfortable - I am always picky about pillows and I rested well there.
Review 58:In all fairness the shower is tiny, even for small people. You need to be agile and cautious.
Review 59:Location is fantastic, close to old town, beaches and train. Quiet apartment at night and shop for essentials just below. Next door to cafe. Choice of ATM machines. We loved the size, layout, decor of the apartment and the view from the small balcony. The extra well ventilated toilet across the hallway was much appreciated. We could not have found a better place to suit our requirements. We arrived after hours and had great instructions left for us. All dealings with Christophe were easy and courteous.
Review 60:The standard room has an efficient and very small bathroom.
Review 61:The studio has a great location, easy to rich by car, close to the Old Town and bus stops. If you are by car is not so easy to find a free parking place. The stuff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 62:The studios are within the old Grande Hotel buidling in the central square near the station and short walks to the old town and beach. Excellent and attentive staff and the appartments have a grandeur overlooking the square with its fountains. Ideal for visiting the old town and beaches and the longer route over to Juan les Pins. A very good place that I would thoroughly recommend.
Review 63:The bathroom is tiny, you have even less than half an arms length either side. It was fine for me, but anyone who is even slightly overrweight or who is over about 5'10 then dont bother because it will be too small. If you are average height and average weight it will be sufficient.
Review 64:The place is in a reasonably good location, about 10 minutes walk from the heart of Old Antibes. The room itself was huge, the staff were friendly and although the walls were thin, it was very quiet at night. My room was extremely clean when I got it, although they did not clean it once throughout my 4 night stay (i didnt mind though because it meant that no one was going through my room). Overall, highly recommended if you want a good place to stay.
Review 65:Location, location, location
Review 66:Very friendly and good location
Review 67:Small and some noise from the square at night
Review 68:Location
Review 69:Would love a more comfortable bed!
Review 70:Location and staff are excellent
Review 71:traffic noise, french car horns
Review 72:Great location , friendly staff
Review 73:Bathroom very small
Review 74:Central location
Review 75:Sofa bed not comfy and squeaks upon movements. Staff speak limited English, hard to communicate with, though pleasant. Address not clear.
Review 76:No iron or ironing board or hair dryer
Review 77:Great location, clean, nice staff, no complaints.
Review 78:Lived everything about this apartment. The host was bery friendly and helpfull. Excellent location and view!!!!
Review 79:Excellent all over, very friendly staff, will definitely be back in a few years time!
Review 80:the room is small but confortable.
Review 81:The position of the apartment, the kindness of the staff.
Review 82:Very friendly and helpful owner, perfect location in beautiful building, room equipped in everything what you need. Everything was alright.
Review 83:Location. Good sized room. VFM
Review 84:The wifi access was very poor, making it impractical to work there.
Review 85:Everything; )
Review 86:The staff were very helpful. The location was perfect.
Review 87:Cooking hot plates couldnt even boil water.
Review 88:Location was great at a good price
Review 89:Everything , wifi fantastic, clean , newly decorated , secure , great location !!!
Review 90:Prime location, great view! Very friendly and welcoming staff! Christophe is lovely! All round a great stay! Would definitely return :)
Review 91:A deposit was taken from my card without my consent.
Review 92:Bit noisy
Review 93:Good location near beautiful old town. Lots of restaurants in the area. Close to beach
Review 94:The bathroom was very small .
Review 95:The location was helpful as we were visiting family fairly nearby.
Review 96:Extraordinarily tiny shower. Could have been cleaner.
Review 97:Value for money; central location; walking distance from everything; air conditioned.
Review 98:Bathroom is a little small.
Review 99:The hotel's location is very good, right in the centre! Staff are very friendly and helpful, which impressed us.
Review 100:Difficult with young children. Kitchen very very small - no laundry facilities
Review 101:Great central location. Quiet studios. Good security.
Review 102:Nice staff, we really enjoy!
Review 103:Great location. Extremely friendly, helpful staff
Review 104:The bed sagged in the middle . This can probably be remedied with a board over the bed frame.
Review 105:Great location with supermarket below. Just a short walk across the square to the old town and all the associated restaurants shops etc. The room was very clean and the kitchen facilities good. It was great to have a table and chairs to eat etc. Christoffe and Vivienne were very friendly and helpful. My husband was hospitalised for 3 days whilst we stayed there and they were very supportive. The gift of coffee and croissant was a nice touch as was two bottles of water in our refrigerator on our arrival. Our room (34) was very quiet and secure. This is simple accommodation but comfortable. We learnt that they also have some apartments that are 3 star.
Review 106:While the room was spotless on arrival it was never cleaned during our stay, nor were the beds/towel changed. We were given a huge supply of towels at the start so they just saw us through. For an expensive room I would expect clean towels during our stay.
Review 107:The location was amazing and Christophe on the desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The room immaculately clean when we arrived and it had a lovely kitchenette so we prepare our own breakfast.
Review 108:Friendly greeting from Christophe. Fantastic setting in a great building. Felt like we were experiencing real France. Easy transport links to airport and nearby places (Nice, Juan les Pins and Cannes). Looking forward to a return visit.
Review 109:Mattress was a bit hard. More information on arrival such as where to find more toilet paper would have been appreciated given the office is attended for only a few hours each day..
Review 110:Room 21 - the best room overlooking the square.
Review 111:No air conditioning, tiny bathroom (no joke - it's the absolute minimum to move inside)
Review 112:Excellent location, very friendly staff, nicely arranged room, quiet in the room (apart from those annoying birds in the backyard ;)
Review 113:Room was small and tired, 'done up' with paint on old surfaces. Over perfumed smell in room gave way to bad smell over 4 days. Courtyard was large lightwell looking down onto roof below. Bathroom 2m x 60cm with ok fittings but cheaply constructed on old surfaces. Bathroom door should be junked. Bed average. Not a room you would want to spend time in. Not good value.
Review 114:Friendly & welcoming staff, location handy to bus & train. Kitchen, fridge all good and good shower with hot water, though 60x60 tray & sticking curtain. Great wifi.
Review 115:A bit noisy outside, but it wasn't a big problem for us.
Review 116:We enjoyed the stay in the apartment a lot. It's very clean and Christophe is great and so helpful, we would stay there again. Location close to bus stop which takes you for 1€ to the lovely beaches. Close to all restaurants and bars, just a short walk away. Supermarket very close by. The furniture is simple but very well looked after. We can only recommend to stay here.
Review 117:Fantastic place to stay in beautiful Antibes! Christoph was so helpful and welcoming, he is superman! Perfect location, everything you want and more. Great value for money. Can't wait to visit again and will definitely stay in studios perl when visiting the South of France. Highly recommend to everyone! Thank you Christoph!
