Reviews for Aparthotel El Faro
Review 1:You need a car Pool is not practical, except July August as it is in the shade in the afternoon
Review 2:Great location Very relaxed Good facilities Helpful staff No extra charges
Review 3:If you don't have a car there is not a lot to do within walking distance. This didn't affect me as I had one but this may be an issue with some people. The village of Faro effectively closed the week we stayed there, 3rd week September, so bear this in mind.
Review 4:A quiet location but excellent if that is what you want. Close to beach but a car is useful. Fantastic sea views.
Review 5:Not a full service hotel, so one of the chamber maids was outright hostile about any out of cycle requests. Requested fresh towels on an off day prior to our departure and was scolded about how it was not our day for fresh towels. I asked where to dispose of smelly trash on another day and was not so politely advised to take it to the overflowing community bin up the street. The fold-out bed was in bad shape and exceptionally hard to deploy. I had a hard time getting it set up on our first night, so we left it as a bed each day. Not surprisingly, this guy folded it back up on the one day he somewhat cleaned and left the bed and new sheets for us to manage once again. We travel frequently and frankly don't ask for a lot. We are generally easy going, friendly, and polite, but this guy tried our patience at every turn and honestly made our overall experience with this hotel very unpleasant to say the least.
Review 6:Fabulous view overlooking the distant beach. Room was nice and reasonably comfortable. Pool was very nice. Air conditioning was wonderful. Kitchen facility was great.
Review 7:car noise from main road, sofa-bed was dirty and in bad conditions. they should check and replace all sofa-bed in bad conditions. Hotel should have some umbrellas, portable chairs and coolers for loan out, including snorkeling equipment for rental
Review 8:excellent view, affordable price and good rooms
Review 9:Just be careful when crossing the street to the FARO: 2 sharp turns. Respect the pedestrian crossing.
Review 10:The distance from the crowd and from the buzy center and main road. Bikes are the best solution, or walking. Best place if you like sport and a calm residential street with see and mountain view. Nice mountain walk to the castle and historic centre, 1h30. Bus OK. Free washing machines, nice swimmingpool and pingpong, children area etc. Visit the panoramic place just in front, behind the ermitaje de Navarro and cueva de los piratas, high on the rocks above the sea.
Review 11:The pool is shared by many people and is therefore full of hairs! It needs to be cleaned 2-3 times a day instead of once. The drains and what we assume is some kind of pump room near the pool stink of sewage when you walk past, which takes the edge off what is otherwise a good venue. Wifi access in our room was virtually non-existent.
Review 12:View from balcony is fantastic. Nice quiet location. Room cleaning and changing of sheets / towels is good. No need to pay for use of laundry facilities, which is a nice gesture. Easy check in, even for late arrival.
Review 13:- wifi in my room was poor, probably due to not strong router. sometimes it dissapeared until reloading by stuff. - Is better to travel there with a car. all shops and market is abt 5-7km to drive one way. - very hard to leave that place in the end of vacations!)
Review 14:+ perfect location, clean, comfort, air condition, fridge, parking, lifts, swimming pool, facilities for disabled.
Review 15:Bed was a little too hard for my liking
Review 16:Apartment was very basic - no luxuries, but it was all we needed as we were just passing through on our way to Granada. Staff at Reception were friendly and helpful. Location was right across the road from the beach - nice views and close to the center of town.
Review 17:Despite the low season, service was excellent. Apartment spotlessly clean when we arrived, and cleaned regularly during our stay. Apartment was very comfortable. Great location, we had a fantastic time.
Review 18:not negative, just note: - could be inconvenient for those with walking difficulties - 10+ min walking to the beach - not much room for car parking - not very 'touristic' place, we were not able to find any place to eat within ~20 min walking after 9pm (October)
Review 19:very friendly staff at the reception picturesque location (lighthouse and seaside view), two beaches nearby (one smaller ~600m away, we liked it more as it is more enclosed and water was warmer and calmer. one large ~400m away) convenient stopover on the way south if driving from France via Pyrenees
Review 20:You need a car, too far from shops without one Sofa bed makes uncomfortable seating Pool was freezing in October, always in the shade even when 30c
Review 21:Excellent location (sea view rooms are worth the extra) Helpful staff Newish apartments, with all the requirements for a great stay Useful and free laundry Will return
Review 22:Locals can't park for toffee No kettle! Hey! I'm English! :) No notice at pool to say somebody vomited into it
Review 23:Proximity to beach Got it's own pool - heated by sun Attentive staff Away from tourist area Great apartment layout Blackout blinds for working lighthouse Lifts for when you are "tired" Basement parking = no sun on car Clean place which is good for parents Well appointed room, modern furniture Maid service basic and good
Review 24:We didn't complain about anything.
Review 25:We enjoyed our staying in the hotel very much. Staff were nice and helpful, the rooms including the kitchen were great. We can strongly recommend this place to everybody who likes sea and prefers their own cooking.
Review 26:Great location with sea view. All facilities present in the appartment.
Review 27:Easy access. Calm location (for the date used, first w-e in november)..
Review 28:Very clean, well equipped apartment with the sea view. It was our second stay at El Faro. We really liked everything
Review 29:It is not so close to the "centre" after all, and the price is not really cheap.
Review 30:Clean.
Review 31:Superb value for money. Wasn't expecting to have our rooms cleaned & bedding changed so regularly, fantastic!
Review 32:Bed matraess are too hard.
Review 33:Great location, great staff very clean. Can park a car outside in the street for free.
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:Very quite in june. Beautiful vieuws. Service of a hotel (reg. clean towels). Very clean.
Review 36:Nothing it was great.
Review 37:Location, cleanliness, comfort amenities. A nice walk down to first village for dinner with the Pirates.
Review 38:No kettle?
Review 39:Good seaview
Review 40:Clean, quiet and with a nice view..
Review 41:Cold appartment, you never see the sun.
Review 42:Nice wiew over the bay.
Review 43:internet is barely functional, very slow or not working, mostly not working
Review 44:Ther was missing a kettle and some mugs for tea
Review 45:We like very much the apartment and the view it was very comfortable. We will be again . It was the 2 time.
Review 46:There is no 24 hour reception. The reception hours are only for a couple of hours in the morning and again in the afternoon. We got a great room rate through Booking.com, and when we asked if we could extend our stay at the same rate the man at reception said no. If we wished to extend out stay, then the rate would be double, and so we left.
Review 47:Good location. It's a new hotel and quite modern. We had a great sea view from our room.
Review 48:Bed was a little hard Reception wasn't open when it was meant to be TV only had one channel! We had a rubbish shower head
Review 49:Good quality furnishings Great size apartment and balcony Well kitted out kitchen Good location Lots of parking outside available when we went Excellent value
Review 50:We haven't got any problem...
Review 51:Very nice, new apartements, amazing view on the lighthouse and sea from the terrace, swimming pool included, playground for children included also (swimming pool and playground unfortunately in the shadow, so a little cold, but perfect)
Review 52:nothing, maybe only you have to go a few hundred meters to the centre of the city and the beaches
Review 53:Great hotel. nice, clean, large rooms, all equipment nice and new. enough space for parking outside the complex and too a garage with a lift to the floors. symphatic english speaking and helpfully reception. nice, beautiful, perfect. i recommend it really well.
Review 54:There is nothing to dislike about the accommodation but Faro seems tohave begun development & stalled. Lots of apartments, not very busyand few local shops or eating places. There were some on the beach routeto Cullera but not serving in the evening during our visit. A quick lookon Google Earth will give a good feel for the place.
Review 55:Close to quiet, clean beaches. Friendly, spotless, well equippedapartments, geared towards Spanish clientele. Well located if you have acar but remote enough to be a problem without. Apartment parking chargesvery reasonable, or leave car overnight,on quiet cul de sac, for free.Supermarkets ( 3 -1 big one), 3 restaurants and railway station about 3miles distant and not in Cullera town. Trains to/from Valencia (40mins), fast, clean, frequent (every 30mins) and cheap(£4.50 Return). Carpark at station free. Some buses evident but patchy service. Beach walkinto Cullera a pleasant way of using a day. Usual selection of shopsbanks & restaurants in town. Use of English restricted but then youare in Spain! Overall we loved it & would go again. Recommended foranyone that has transport and can cope without mugs & wineglassesfor a day!
Review 56:pool is un-heated and in the shade from about lunch time. Although the sun beds are in the sun all day.
Review 57:The rooms are clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The staff are very patient and help full. Good value for money. Well equiped kitchen.
Review 58:The Prtyotel was cheap .THE VIEWS WAS fabulous even we did not asked for it. The facilities in room were excellent even for 3. The only thing was that we could not find mag for tea and glasses for wine
Review 59:Could do with some wine glasses. In experienced English speakingtravellers should note that staff didn't speak much English.
Review 60:It was cheap, staff were helpful, great views from the rooms, nice townwith lovely beaches. Facilities in room were excellent for selfcatering. Great weather and authentic Spain on a coast where lots ofEnglish tourists dominate some hotels.
Review 61:bevásárláshoz kocsi kell,

Review 64:The staff doesn't speak English!

Review 69:Very clean, calm, good view
Review 70:Absolutely stunning views from the balcony, beach is 10 minutes away, room is spacious and clean.
Review 71:Location, Staff, Comfort
Review 72:There were live bugs in the pull-out couch, and a big dead one in the bed. Staff was horrified too. Never again.
