Reviews for Hôtel Le Continental

Review 1:The room was not in as good condition as in the pictures, there were e.g. some black spots on the walls. Although the room was clean, the building might need some renovation.

Review 2:Good location and breakfast. Helpful personnel.

Review 3:Why do the French put the W/C in a separate room from the shower and basin, separated by the bedroom? Parking available only on the streets surrounding the hotel. Don't forget to get a parking ticket.

Review 4:Had a nice room with a terrace on the 5th floor. Very close to the city centre

Review 5:the bed pillos are very uncomfortable and no options are available. the quality of the breakfast food is poor.

Review 6:great staff, rooms are spacious and clean

Review 7:No eventing restaurant because of quiet summer. Another restaurant was recomended without mentioning that this had the same owner as the hotel - more value for Money Down the street

Review 8:Classical Hotel With style Room upgraded.

Review 9:When arriving at the Hotel parts of the outside look neglected and run down appearing to have once been a old nightclub Room adequate size for 1 but would have been quite cramped for 2 Generally a bit shabby in places old windows and frames which needed a good clean in the bedroom when I tried opening the very small balcony doors Did not feel like a 4 star hotel but I would stay again if needing a overnight stay in Brest in the future

Review 10:Bedding was immaculate and room spotless.lovely central area for shopping and the train stationLovely choice for breakfast

Review 11:There wasn't nothing 4 star about this hotel, except for the price. Rooms had basic lack of maintenance and attention to detail. Breakfast selection was awful seeing as they were charging €15 per day. Way too expensive for what was on offer.

Review 12:Good location and staff

Review 13:No gym or quick sports facility

Review 14:Location is fabulous Cozy and nice

Review 15:Could hear noise from outside at night.

Review 16:Good wifi.

Review 17:Comfortable hotel, receptionist very helpful and let me check in hours early. Convenient location - near to town centre and bus/train station.

Review 19:Overall good value for money in excellent position

Review 20:Everything

Review 21:There was no problem at all.

Review 22:The central location and the quiet spacious room.

Review 23:None.

Review 24:Room is big and clean. No bath tub in a roomy bathroom. Reception staff are friendly and helpful.

Review 25:Poor WiFi, no minibar.

Review 26:Location, friendly staff.

Review 27:Price Breakfast could be better

Review 28:Location Staff Comfortable room

Review 29:No restaurant No private parking

Review 30:Dirty spots on the walls in a room.

Review 31:Ideal location, balcony view, very helpful staff.

Review 32:very helpful staff good bed

Review 33:The fabulous entrance art deco

Review 34:There is no restaurant.

Review 35:I liked the old-fashioned aspect of the hotel. It was pleasant and you could have a drink or tea in the lobby.

Review 36:Great location, comfy beds and nice staff.

Review 37:wifi not so satisfying

Review 38:Pay parking close to the hotel is expensive but free a block or two from the hotel.

Review 39:Good information service always available, Breakfast choice wide, varied and substantial. Quiet area of the city. Very clean and comfortable.

Review 40:No restaurant available. And not much to select around from to have dinner if you worked late. Despite the location is quite central. Bit far from airport. Poor staff english skills.

Review 41:Central location. Comfortable bed, bad pillows.

Review 42:Equipment and inside look is 60ish. Unfortunately, furniture, equipment and look should be renovated/refurbished. It means that the price is by far too high for what you get.

Review 43:Good location and excellent staff.

Review 44:A very minor issue: I didn't like the survey sent by email after my stay. It all goes well as long as you fill-in also the free text for comments (with a minimum number of characters) and the title. I believe respondents should not be obliged to fill in these fields. It gives the feeling of completing a government form ...

Review 45:All staff were very friendly and prepared to speak English. Rooms were silent and clean; the bathroom well equipped. Taking also the free and well-functioning wifi the hotel will be a straightforward choice for my next trip to Brest.

Review 46:It is very much a "contract carpet" hotel. Breakfasts, furnishings, everything out of the standard mould. Very mediocre and soulless - apart from reception staff!!

Review 47:Reception staff helpful and friendly

Review 48:The room was huge with a separate toilet. We were lucky to be on the 5th floor, so we were able to watch over the other buildings and see the sea. Also the breakfast was really good organized.

Review 49:The pillows were far too hard and big

Review 50:Everything, it was a fabulous hotel placed right in the city centre. The room was huge and the breakfast excellent.

Review 51:It's impersonal and a little run down - the hotel and room could do with some revamping. A minibar would be good to have as well. Also room service only worked part of the week...

Review 52:The breakfast was great - good variety and quality products, nice breakfast room - lots of light.

Review 53:I marked "wildlife" in a previous block since that hotel was really wild. First, it was wild cold inside the suite, as far as the management decided to save on heating (ignoring the fact that it was +11 outside). Low temperature logically came with extra-small size of the cell. Second, the Brest downtown is by no means a tourist paradise and looks more like a wild barren terrain with no restaurants, cafes or local shops. The style of the hall and reception remind you of the Soviet embassy in Cohen brothers' movie "Burn after reading". I have to mention an absense of free parking and incomprehensible traffic scheme around the hotel.

Review 54:10 minute walk to all 3 sightseeings of the town, including harbour and the castle. You might spot one of few remaining French military ships.

Review 55:Friendly staff and a great city location

Review 56:No restaurant.

Review 57:Really nice hotel. Very good location, 5 minutes walk from the train station, in the town centre. Nice breakfast too. Would recommend this hotel.

Review 61:location fine

Review 62:Nothing. Liked everything.

Review 63:Great room with great amenities. This hotel was very well situation in the town of Brest.
