Reviews for Dorado Beach
Review 1:the hotels easy access to all you need , rooms were quiet , food was the best ive had and I use many 5 star hotels , bars very nice service good staff all helpful and they are an asset to bull hotels .
Review 2:When we order 6 months ahead and ask for 2 ajacent rooms because we accomany elderly people, we were disappointed that our wish could not be granted.
Review 3:The total package. Visited 5-6 times.
Review 4:The buffet had a wide selection, but the actual food wasn't really that good.
Review 5:The hotel was close to the sea, it was easy to locate and close to restaurants and stores. The spa was really a treat!
Review 6:Much traffic noice from road ! Not informed by booking that some rooms have much trafic. noice.
Review 7:Nice Place but something old and worn rooms especialy bathroom.
Review 8:Front of house staff were not friendly and the staff checking us in failed to mention many essential things. At o point was there any friendliness from them, no greetings, "hope you enjoyed your stay", nothing at all. On check out the response was "okay" and that was it. No courtesy at all. The room safe costs extra (2Euros a day). No other hotel I've ever been to charges extra to use the room safe. The rooms are all twins, not doubles - there are no double beds. This is not clear on the website. Couples will definitely be disappointed. Guests must wear a wrist band at all times to indicate if they are all inclusive or not. This cannot be removed so must be worn whilst out of the hotel too. Car park is not fit for purpose. Nothing larger than a Mini will be able to manouvure around it. Cockroaches in the bedroom. Extractor fan in bathroom is deafening loud and does not work (it is blocked).
Review 9:I had booked one of their standard rooms with balcony and "stunning sea view". The hotel was fully booked over Christmas and they placed me into one of their three "suites", which are huge, but don't have a balcony and only rather limited sea view. Internet connection was very poor. The Wi-Fi signal was strong, but the connection to the outside world (both with Wi-Fi and in the designated internet room) is so slow, that often it was not even possible to open a website. It seems they have only a <2 Mbps connection, shared by 200 rooms.
Review 10:I am not the all-inclusive tourist and did not use most of the hotel facilities. I simply looked for a base to explore the south of the island and did not have much choice when I booked rather late. That said, I was not disappointed. Arguineguin is a nice village and one of the few places in the south that already existed before the hotel boom. The town centre is only about 500m from the hotel. If you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant every day, you'll find nice restaurants there. (The hotel restaurant is certainly good, but it is the kind of cuisine where people eat what they eat at home. If you want fresh local fish, try the Cofradia de Pescadores in the harbour, 15 min walk from the hotel.) I also enjoyed swimming in the sea. There is a small beach right in front of the hotel and the better main beach is only a 300m walk. The hotel has its own parking lot. It is rather small, but as most guests probably never leave the hotel during their stay I could find an empty space at each day.
Review 11:Nothing
Review 12:The staff are very attentive and helpful in all departments of the hotel. The food was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel was full but plenty of room in the restaurant and around the pool.
Review 13:Beds not the best for those with back problems, but OK if you asked for extra blankets underneath. The quality of room towels poor. Pillows a bit lumpy or hard.
Review 14:Excellent food, always something different each night. Good for vegetarians or even "raw food" vegans. Very clean all over. Spa & fitness dept. was varied & good & free. Laid back, quiet atmosphere. Background piped music to our tatse. Good pool & solarium areas. Good choice of drinks on AI mealplan
Review 15:Would have liked to see a few more British residents.
Review 16:Food and drink choices , spa and pool facilities.
Review 17:Leaving
Review 18:Quiet atmosphere good food and swimming in the lagoon.
Review 19:Nothing to complain about!
Review 20:I asked for a quiet room and really got it! Loved the balcony with the wonderful view, and the good variety of the meals.
Review 21:View from balcony staff very friendly good food
Review 22:If you are into shopping, the location would not suit you as Arguinigan is a small resort.
Review 23:The facilities this hotel has are fantastic. I do not understand why it is only a 3 star! The food was good with great selection. Pool snacks very good and the coffee machines were left on for the evening meal! Great hotel, would recommend it.
Review 24:Scrambled eggs from powder. Beds a bit too firm.
Review 25:Nestor at the front desk is great -- fabulous receptionist. Good variety of food, and lots of it. Good inside playroom for kids. Clean, tidy. Good gym, lovely spa (but I really wanted a pedicure -- add this service?!), snow room and salt water pool inside -- fun. Nice and quiet. Good shower.
Review 26:We were very disappointed that we did not get a balcony over looking the sea which we had requested. We had been warned that it could not be guaranteed. We had a very large window that we could open but unfortunately in the morning we couldn't leave the window open as a couple where smoking on a very close balcony outside.
Review 27:We loved the hotel from the moment we entered the foyer & were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist. The food for every meal was presented so well & as we were staying all inclusive we could have much food and drinks as we desired. The facilities were wonderful. The roof top solarium was super if you like to have a little quiet time in the sunshine. The Wellness centre was fabulous & we met two lovely women in charge there. The outdoor pool was a little chilly but very refreshing in the sun. It was so nice to be able to hear the sound of the nearly waves as we sat outside enjoying the warm evenings. We had one of the suites in the hotel which was huge & we have never seen such a big bathroom which had a his & hers sink, a jacuzzi bath & a very large walk in shower. We would definitely return to The Dorado Beach Hotel.
Review 28:The entertainment finishes too early, both in the piano bar and the disco.
Review 29:a well run hotel, excellent value for money.good food & a wide choice of drinks available all day. good location with a choice of bathing in the tide pool or swimming pool. great spa & well equipped gym.
Review 30:When we arrived we were put into an extremely small room and it took 2 days to get moved. The room we got originally we were told was a standard room which they said is what we booked, but when i showed them the pictures of the room that was being advertised it was clear that this was not the case and they moved us. They also had no air-conditioning which would not be suitable in high season with the heat in the room.
Review 31:I thought the food was really good and they had a great variety of food. The spa facilities were excellent and so was the girl on reception there, she was always a pleasure to deal with. The kiddies entertainment was very good also. The hotel was very clean
Review 32:Sometimes the food was not hot enough for my taste. One or two nights noentertainment for adults and not enough English tv channels. Loads forGerman ones though. This is still a lovely hotel and well worth a visit, thats why I have been this twice!
Review 33:Our room had a fantastic sea view with complete privacy. Also veryquiet. The spa and wellness and gym was a big bonus and this area isfantastic and also free. Drinks on tap and cocktails, excellent value.Good choice of food. Great location! Great hotel!
Review 34:Sound isolation of the door is poor. Wifi unstable in some areas of the hotel
Review 35:Exellent staff that does everything to ensure you a good stay, good selection of food, good value for money
Review 36:Exciting construction - little stages from the streetside and 9 stages from the seaside Great view from the balcony Excellent room with luxury bedroom Super fresh natural airflow - no need of airconditioner! Magic spa - we don't like to walk outside the notel!
Review 37:Some rooms have a very inferior outlook and we were given one suchroom on arrival . After registering a strong complaint we were given aroom with a stunning sea view. This apparently is an issue as thebetter rooms have been contracted to large travel agents form Nordiccountries and Germany resulting in few rooms being allocated to online booking agencies. The TV stations were geared mainly for Scandinavian and German visitors and while it was not a major concern for us (CNN being the only English we could find) it may be an issue for some.
Review 38:As an "All inclusive" booking we enjoyed all the meals which showedimagination without compromising quality. We enjoyed the facilitieswithin the hotel which also has a comprehensive wellness centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and willing to be of assistance at all times. The rooms were of a high (but not luxurious) standard while the bathrooms were adequate but perhaps could benefit from a refit. This is a good hotel which will hopefully be revisited. All in all our visit was a very positive experience
Review 39:We liked most of all the friendly, hard working staff in the restaurant and the bar/disco, but also the complete wellness and the very good food.
Review 40:WiFi was slow and unstable.
Review 41:Helpful staff and nice facilities.
Review 42:The lovely sunset from my balcony.
Review 43:Spa, food
Review 44:Not much to do at night. entertainment poor.
Review 45:Spa and Location,
Review 46:no entertainment at night
Review 47:The food was excellant and every where was clean
Review 48:Long waiting for lifts. Not good in english.
