Reviews for Hotel Innsbruck
Review 1:Disappointed with room comfort and design. Expected to pay for in room tea and coffee which is ridiculous
Review 2:Hotel is in a great location - surrounded by Christmas markets and plenty of restaurants nearby. Across the road from the river and stunning views. Really great breakfast.
Review 3:everything was perfect
Review 4:Everything was absolutely perfect -- the best hotel experience ever! I was upgraded to a 2-level suite, because the originally booked room wasn't available (due to the hotel being fully booked). The bed was perfect, shower pressure wonderful, double-paned windows blocked all the street noise. Breakfast buffet is fit for a king, incredible selection of hot and cold dishes, baked goods, breads/rolls, jams, even lox. Swimming pool and sauna/steamroom were lovely additions as well. Can't recommend this place enough!
Review 5:Although we arrived at check in time, the room wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to wait about 45 minutes.
Review 6:Central location and although on a main road it was quiet in the rooms to the rear of the hotel.
Review 7:nothing
Review 8:The location of this hotel was excellent, close to all the main attractions, restaurant also had a small but good dinner selection as well as the breakfast.
Review 9:It would have been superb if we would have a river or mountain view but the room is cozy and comfy.
Review 10:The location is excellent, only steps away from the famous Golden Roof and the Christmas Market. There is a good variety of breakfast.
Review 11:Liked everything
Review 12:We stayed in this hotel approx 5 years ago and it has been updated since our last stay. Lovely clean spacious rooms helpful staff great location good food and cheap drinks
Review 13:Two days' stay is too short.
Review 14:This was our second stay at the hotel, having stayed there 5 years ago while on a Trafalgar tour. Got upgraded to a newer room. Very helpful staff who speaks good English. Very good breakfast and facilities; pool, sauna, steam bath. Excellent location near the Marktplatz, Golden Roof, and the base station to get to the Nordkette. Would love to return.
Review 15:The room lighting was too low and it lacked a sufficient number of electrical outlets - we had to unplug lamps, etc. to charge up/use all our electronic devices.
Review 16:A great location that's close to all the old town sites - we walked to everything. Breakfast was fantastic. Our room had a spectacular view of the mountains.
Review 17:The hotel reserved an amount of money on my credit card as a deposit despite the fact that I paid cash on the spot. The amount hasn't been released by the bank yet and it has been 7 working days ago. I understand that many hotel does this, but many also don't.
Review 18:The location was ideal, just at the edge of the old town and christmas markets were so near! There was wide selection for breakfast and service was quite good. The front desk was helpful.
Review 19:Would be great to have some bathroom necessary things when travelling like toothbrush, shower cap etc. First need when you cant buy anything after arrival
Review 20:Just in the historical centre, amazing view
Review 21:Nothing.
Review 22:This hotel was excellent from start to finish. Staff were great, room was big and very quiet. Facilities were perfect. And breakfast service was one of the best I've experienced.
Review 23:The breakfast staff were not particularly attentive and in what otherwise an excellent breakfast the food often ran out and not replaced quickly enough
Review 24:Very good hotel in great location. Very good reception staff, spotlessly clean hotel.
Review 25:Parking is often full but they have a deal with a parking owner in front. They didnt provide us sleepers, dunno if it's a mistake, had to walk barefoot to the pool. A bit too strict with the breakfast timetable.
Review 26:Pool, Sauna, Breakfast, Location, Staff, Room
Review 27:Bathroom lights just a bit brighter would have worked wonders
Review 28:I can only confirm all other feedbacks, hotel is 10-15 minutes on foot from the train station, a few minutes from the golden roof, cosy bedroom, clean, excellent breakfast, nice staff, bathrobe and slippers for the two wellness areas (one on top floor, naked, and the other one in the basement with a small swimming pool and saunas). We had a bedroom facing the street and we had no noise at night.
Review 29:The access to the parking garage is through a car elevator. This operation requires some patience , if another car arrive / departure at same time.
Review 30:Excellent location. In the old town. Near restaurant and shops.
Review 31:Restaurant staff was rude. We asked to be seated for dessert and coffee. There was one other couple in the restaurant so they were not busy. The waitstaff was the most unfriendly, rude I've had in quite a while. Food is good though.
Review 32:Excellent location, friendly reception desk, nice size room, good amenities, excellent breakfast!
Review 33:Upgraded to double room with bath on arrival (didn't ask & has booked single room with shower). As a rare treat away from young family to visit a friend I appreciated this immensely. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive, pool & spa sublime (and quiet), perfect location. Already planning on when I can go back...with or without family!
Review 34:Perhaps the bathroom could be a bit larger.
Review 35:Staff was very helpful even if I had arrived well after midnight. The brakfast was realy nice and the rooms are well equipped.
Review 36:Being woken by American tour groups leaving at 4 am. Made worse by the fact we had an adjoining door on our room.
Review 37:V comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and good location.
Review 38:Room 110 would have to be one of the poorest located rooms in the hotel. Only view was of a roof and there was no privacy unless the heavy curtains were completely closed. The air conditioner was completely in German and remained a mystery throughout our stay - open window let in bad smell from suspected sewer vent. No English language TV, e.g. BBC News.
Review 39:Excellent location, close to interesting attractions, cafes, and restaurants.Lots of amenities if the guests wanted to use them.
Review 40:Location is excellent and staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms are designed beautiful and are very clean. The various Saunas are great to end the day and breakfast is very good to start the day!
Review 41:-Wish - Breakfast could have been better -Approach to our room from the main restaurant was not good -Room's location was not good as due to noise from street till late in the evening - we could not sleep
Review 42:Location was superb!
Review 43:The location of course, and good quality toilet paper. The room was spotless, and everything functioned as it should. The experience of a car lift to the car park was different. The staff were well presented, and very personable. Nothing was any trouble to them, and we appreciated them greatly.
Review 44:Parking was a little confusing without an easy place to stop and drop bags, but staff helped perfectly to locate a nearby garage
Review 45:The convenient location
Review 46:The bed was a little uncomfortable after a long day walking
Review 47:The room was spacious The breakfast was absolutely fantastic with lots of variety The staff were friendly and spoke good English and had good local knowledge Air conditioning was good
Review 48:Wifi was very slow during our first day and the room was not cleaned even though laundry was returned at the same time
Review 49:Excellent location, nice rooms, great breakfast. Good staff
Review 50:Excellent location, Hotel Parking, Full English Breakfast most enjoyable, staff friendly and helpful. Room spacious , Dressing robes and slippers provided, All added to make this a lovely stay
Review 51:We were in line at the reception with a small baby and someone just cut in line and the receptionist didnt seem to notice us waiting until we voiced our complaint. He also teprimanded our toddler baby girl to keep down noise. I dont think they like kids so much in this hotel. Or maybe they just dont like Italians (wink). Shabby entrance for a 4 star hotel. Could use a make over.
Review 52:Proximity to center. Breakfast had good variety. Room is big!
Review 53:The parking garage for the car was a little hard to in and out of.
Review 54:Hotel was in a great location, with the old city just a short walk away. Breakfast was very nice.
Review 55:No real issues. Alot better than expected.
Review 56:This was a great hotel to stay at for any family. The location was excellent, the staff amazing, and the rooms great. Just staying at this hotel made the road trip worth it.
Review 57:Not a nice view if your room is on the back side of hotel. Bar service was poor and often unmanned.
Review 58:Nice hotel ideally located. AIr Confitioner was an added bonus given the hot sticky summer. Nice breakfast.
Review 59:Did not like that the toilet was separate. Hygiene is important. Bath towels could be better
Review 60:Welcoming and friendly staff, ready to assist. Location of the property was ver good.
Review 61:The lack of a proper restaurant menu was a disappointment. We went into the old town, for dinner but had it been raining........? They did have brollies to borrow though.
Review 62:We had a beautiful room. Views over the River Inn too. Superb shower room.
Review 63:Good location, but the hotel is absolutely not worthy of 4 stars. Two stars would be adequate considering the layout of the room and awkward furniture not matching the elegance of the surroundings outside the hotel. The wifi constantly breaking up; coffee charged; parking needed the reservation and even then not guaranteed. Parked the car across the street. In total the value does not correspond to the price.
Review 64:Guess that only location was of the benefit.
Review 65:Sometimes the TV signal went in and out and we couldn't watch a program. I wish the front desk staff had a little more information on hiking in the area. She said there would be information at the funicular, and there was not.
Review 66:All of the facilities!
Review 67:Great idea to have hot water station outside rooms, but disappointed this was not offered free of charge.
Review 68:Great comfy bed. Excellent location to old town.
Review 69:No sink space at all to put the Cosmetitcs, hardly a Thoth brush Very difficult access to and from the underground parking with the elevator
Review 70:Great location just a few steps from the old city
Review 71:We were upgraded to a smallish but well-designed new room with beds, comfortable sitting area, separate toilet and bathroom. Easy connection to the Internet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 72:Only one tiny complaint. The PC and printer in lobby did not work to print our boarding pass. However I emailed it to reception and they printed them for me.
Review 73:The view of the mountains. The location was excellent. Just around the corner from the olde town. Plenty of restaurant's.
Review 74:Nothing
Review 75:Everything! Reception ensured we had a disabled room which was a free upgrade. Spacious comfortable room, massive shower, settee, wifi, all great. The swimming pool was lovely - I had to myself on 2 occasions.
Review 76:Very well equipped and relatively large hotel room worth the 4* category. Rich breakfast buffet - there was enough choice for everyone. Friendly staff. Private parking for 14 EUR however easy access in central location. Quiet in the night.
Review 77:pre - authorisation my card, they have done it and I had blocked my money for 7 days, they said 24hours but it didn't work. They said bank holiday but I'm asking why are they doing it while I paid by cash the same day when I arrived. In my opinion it is not fair to make preautorisation and not cancell it after we paid by cash. We are very disappointed about that. I saw on my bank account that it will be cancelled after 7 days not like they said after 24hours. Our budget was blocked. We really needed that money for the rest of our holiday.
Review 78:location, parking space
Review 79:The hotel indicated that there will be dinner served every evening and the menu was to my liking. There was no dinner and they said that it was only for the winter. I was greatly disappointed. Every thing else was excellent.
Review 80:Excellent location, staff is helpful and friendly, breakfast had a great variety of options, had no problems with the wifi in the room. Would definitely recommend, and return.
Review 81:Hotel parking was full, so we had to park in a public parking. Not ideal, but acceptable.
Review 82:Behind the unassuming facade, this hotel has everything we wanted. Very comfortable room, exceptional breakfast, helpful staff. two-three minutes walk from many good restaurants in the historic center of the town.
Review 83:The parking is difficult and must be booked in advance. You must drive onto a vehicle elevator and park in a small basement. Certainly safe from car thieves but Americans will find this challenging as there is only just enough space for the car and barely enough to open the driver's side door and escape.
Review 84:New rooms with custom wooden built-in features were not only beautiful but the aroma of newly cut timber was better than any fragrance from a can. Cozy and sophisticated is a rare combination but these rooms hit the mark. The view of the cathedral and perfect location to visit local shops & restaurants make this hotel one of my favorites on a recent trip to Germany & Austria. Highly recommend.
Review 85:Like many alpine locations their is an oversupply of restaurants in the summer. Without the attraction of al fresco dining this hotel has to limit its menu in summer. We had to eat elsewhere as a result, and there are many near by to chose from. In the winter, I'm sure things inprove.
Review 86:Everything but the restaurant menu.
Review 87:Hotel was completely full at the day of our stay. That meant that there was no more parking space (we had to park in a public parking some 200m away). When we got to the room there was a very strong cigarette smell and the only action taken by the hotel staff was to spray eucalyptus scent in the room (not the best choice when you have an allergic guest...). While the toilets were clearly brand new, the room does not seem as modern as in the photos presented in this site. Not a bad hotel, but our experience was far from the score this hotel has in Booking.com
Review 88:Excellent location at the heart of Innsbruck
Review 89:Don't like the half pane of glass (two small panels) creating apartial shower "curtain" across part of the bath. I have noidea who came up with that design, but it is imo idiotic.
Review 90:Location, friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Review 91:Parking the only issue, if you drive. Suggest you park across the street at Alstadt, especially if you're driving a mini-van or wagon, as the entrance to the hotel's lift-based parking is impossibly tight and on a busy street. Price is the same either way. Also, figuring out where to park temporarily at check-in needs to be dealt with and communicated more aggressively.
Review 92:Mrs. loved the feminine touches: make-up mirror and lighting, and scale, in bath, for example. Location is great for walkers; loved the alleys and stores of 'old town' area and river setting. High quality bedding; fanatic cleanliness. Breakfasts were excellent.
Review 93:The best! Superb hotel with excellent location, next to the river & right around the corner to the old town & museums, steps from all the sights, tram to the gondola, bus to Swarovski. Super helpful staff, excellent rooms & 4 star breakfast in lovely dining room. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff and also the perfect hotel for meetings and/or a small convention. Terrific value. Just loved it.
Review 94:Parking was expensive at 14 Euros per day but it was worth it for the convenience.
Review 95:The hotel is ideally located for the old town and is only a short journey from the train station and airport. The room was spotlessly clean with good food and facilities including an indoor pool and sauna/ steam rooms. We would definitely stay again when returning to Innsbruck.
Review 96:Difficult parking place for big cars, 20 Euros extra for mountain view which was announced on arrival and if not opted, in normal room you get to see inner courtyard which is small triangle shape area between hotel buildings, did not accept dinner request when reached at 17:00.
Review 97:Location, proximity from attractions and breakfast
Review 98:There is a long winding hallway to our room, #416. Reception area can be crowded at times with tour groups.
Review 99:The location is in the center of the city, across the the street from the Central Market. Very nice breakfast.
Review 100:The room (105) was very comfortable with the best king size bed I'vehad so far in Europe. Excellent staff everywhere in the hotel. Greatbreakfast selection.
Review 101:Night porter, albight excellent in helping us, did not mention their agreement with the near by parking so I used my credit Card to get in and could not redeem their offer.
Review 102:nice room very friendly staff and centrally located
Review 103:Steam sauna did not work.
Review 104:The hotel is located centrally between oldtown and the river. The hotel has sauna and pool, perfect for a relaxing weekend. The breakfast was also great with a lot of different muslies and fruits.
Review 105:Really comfy bed, choice of pillows, spa/sauna excellent, easy to reach everywhere in old town by foot. Staff were very helpful, even making sauna available to me over lunch period where it's usually closed (10-2 - off season?) Other reviews have commented on staff rudeness - I can see where this could be misinterpreted. Staff were helpful, but very direct in communication. I think sometimes tourists forget to be a little more patient with the tone of second languages. Would happily stay again.
Review 106:They mentiuoned that paying the parking in their hotel would cost less and in fact we payd 18 euro, whereas in the parking lot we saw it would have cost 8 euro, Unexpected that there are incorrect people in this country too!
Review 107:The decoration looked dated, more like a 3 star though the carpet might be new. Our triple room looked like a dorm room though it was clean. We heard people walking and singing loudly in the hallway at midnight, some guy speaking loud and clear on the street below at midnight and also before 7 in the morning! (We had a room with a beautiful view but on the 2nd floor, the main road side.) The toilet and bath are separate completely into two rooms which is not so convenient, but ok.
Review 108:The hotel is in a great location, right on one side of the main walking/shopping street of the old town. Our room had a beautiful view of the river with the colorful old buildings and the mountain. The room was clean, bathroom was new.
Review 109:Everything was perfect :)
Review 110:We were able to check into the hotel 3 hours early which was such a bonus as my daughter travelled from St.Anton and I was travelling from the UK. The spa was fantastic and the breakfast was amazing.
Review 111:Breakfast slightly overwhelmed and noisy with large party of schoolchildren. Well behaved but resulted in very long queues to access food and drinks. Maybe their breakfast time should have been staggered.
Review 112:Location, good breakfast, helpful staff. Good selection of restaurants nearby.
Review 113:This hotel was amazing. The spas in the basement and top floors were great and newly built. The hotel is in a very convenient location in Innsbruck for wandering around. Free wifi and a great free breakfast. Friendly staff. Free busses to the major ski areas nearby. All around great
Review 114:Our room was on the 2nd floor in the front of the hotel directly on the main street. It was very, very loud at night and we slept poorly. Having the window closed helped slightly, but then the room became too hot. We turned the heating unit knob to off but it still radiated heat.
Review 115:The location is excellent, close to many old town museums, shops, markets, and restaurants. The decor is modern and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet that offered a good variety but could use a change from day to day. We used the pool facilities and enjoyed that - very clean.
Review 116:Looked like I got an older room, hotel in the process of renovating.
Review 117:Great location for walking around, great view of the nordkette mountain range. Sauna and pool were a great way to wind down after seeing sights.
Review 118:Location is great and staff service was excellent. The only thing I think they could change is free tea and coffee in the rooms otherwise every other aspect perfect
Review 119:We had a suite and the second bed was a very hard and uncomfortable pull-out couch. I expected a bit more for comfort for the price.
Review 120:The staff were friendly and helpful!
Review 121:Downstairs steam room out of action so only pool and sauna in clothed section. I was disappointed there was no spa in either section.
Review 122:Close to the old city and many bars and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Wifi reliable.
Review 123:The wifi was not that fast and were disconnecting after some time, so that you have to enter the code again. The swimming pool was very clean but not that big. The water for babies is too chilly. The saunas are great though.
Review 124:The rooms were very comfy and the mattresses on the beds were neither hard, nor soft but we're providing the gtreat support for the spine. The hotel personnel was very friendly and attended the request instantly. We were with a 9-month baby there and were able to receive support with warming food or getting boiled water for thermos. The room was clean but air conditioning was not working perfectly and it was around 22-25 C in the room. It is a bit too warm for sleeping. The breakfast is outstanding!
Review 125:Only two little things, sheets had holes in and tea bags in the rooms were charged at €1,10 which felt a bit much.
Review 126:Great location, ski bus pickup outside. Breakfast good, spa was a pleasant surprise with the most amazing views from the sun terrace.
Review 127:Massive square pillows might be fine for many but I don't like them, they hurt my neck, and the staff couldn't help. I almost bought a normal pillow at the place next door! Meant two poor nights' sleep. Could also have used one of those folded luggage table things, rather than placing my case on the floor.
Review 128:Very nice place and well located for the town centre and a walk along the river. Nice room but a bit small for the price.
Review 129:The wifi was slow and intermittent. The bathroom was cramp and the bathtub was exceptionally slippery.
Review 130:Location was perfect. Just at the edge of the old town and within walking distance to most places of interest. Room size was good.
Review 131:Bedroom far too hot! Seems criminal, but left the window open all day (about -2 degrees outside) but had to close it at night because of early morning street noises.
Review 132:Situated right next to the old town, behind an unassuming façade, a very comfortable modern hotel. Good sized swimming pool for a hotel, with sauna, great for relaxing after a day touring the sights or skiing.
Review 133:The location to the old town was perfect. The staff was very kind and well versed in English. The double room was very spacious and clean. Both wellness areas seemed to be above average. Morning breakfast had both American (eggs, bacon) and European (breads, cheeses, meats, yogurts) to chose from.
Review 134:Received an 'upgrade' to a room that stank of cigarettes. They froze money before arriving, then charged the same amount again for the room and didn't unfreeze the first sum of money until a week after we left.
Review 135:the staff were very friendly.
The Fine Print
Please note that you can access the garage through a car elevator, which can hold a maximum weight of 4,400 lbs (2,000 kg). The height of the garage entrance is 6'7".
