Reviews for Prestige Mar y Sol
Review 1:The room was somewhat noisy from a generator near the bedroom where there was no wardrobe to hang our clothes.
Review 2:Although service oriented the staff lacked the warmth. The position was very central and the breakfast offered was 10/10.
Review 3:Having to use the free wifi only in public areas was a bit of a problem.
Review 4:Comfortable room with kitchenette and beautiful bathroom. Lovely view over the square to the beach and the bay. Everything very clean. Great breakfast.
Review 5:It was very badly designed and poorly finished. In the bathroom the plug in the sink did not work and the shower head would adjust even after someone allegedly repaired it. The heating in the bedroom could not be reduced. The air conditioning was not working. Most bizarrely of all the wardrobe was in the bathroom. The tiles in the bathroom were chipped and therewas a crack in the toilet. The breakfast was much like the accommodation, it looked good but was of extremely poor quality. There were complaints from others while we were there
Review 6:At first the room looked excellent but in actual fact (see over)
Review 7:We've had a Dbl rom with the sea view, which was very noisy as rubbish trucks started their activities under our window from 4 AM in the morning. Breakfast was very poor, so I couldnt find anytning to eat. The Wi Fi you could use in the dedicated area only (in the corner of the breakfast area) not in the room. I would rate this this hotel as 2 * not even 3 *.
Review 8:I love this place. It is now even better, as the rooms are newly refurbished, and to a very high standard. All the staff are always nice and helpful, and friendly. The food in the restaurant downstairs is superb. I was very impressed by the high quality and attentive service. I was in the sea view room with balcony. The views are giving a true central Roses vista.
Review 9:One young male reception staff was less friendly; others were great ! Our room was a bit tired.
Review 10:Convenient location and value for money. Roses is a place we visit every year- great !
Review 11:Get maximum money from you! Sometimes ridiculous. Rooms need repair. No chairs and umbrellas on the beach.
Review 12:Great location on the central square. Comfortable rooms. Friendly personnel. Great beach across the road.
Review 13:The walls are fairly thin and you can hear people above and beside you, it didn't bother us much as we weren't in a lot of the time. The bed wasn't the comfiest and we had two singles pushed together instead of an actual double bed.
Review 14:The value for money was really good. The location is fantastic! for the amount of money we paid, which wasn't very much we got bed and breakfast. the selection was good, for the price we paid. 3 different cereals, yoghurt, fruit a selection of cheese and meat and breads and some pastries. the staff were always friendly. It was always cleaned really well.
Review 15:Had read parking was a problem, but we stayed tjhere in late February when the town was very quiet and we parked easily in a public car park 5 minutes walk away.
Review 16:This hotel is right in the centre of Roses next to the beach. It was very clean, the bedroom was a good size with a sea view. Only stayed one night but great location to stay in to see Roses. .
Review 17:It would have ben nice to have free wifi throughout as is normally available in many budget chain hotels.
Review 18:The receptionists, cleaners and breakfast waitress were lovely. We were welcomed back (third stay) like old friends. Our room (205) was huge, with a tiny kitchen, large and comfortable living area with balcony, and lovely beds and bathroom.
Review 19:we were given a twin room instead of a double although I specifically asked for a double. no free wifi
Review 20:location, room quite big, great choice for buffet breakfast
Review 21:Parking difficult Telecommando not working Lines for coffee machine slow
Review 22:Friendliness and helpfulness of staff Restaurant next door -- v good Nice views, central situation Comfortable beds
Review 23:The queue for the tea/coffee at breakfast could be congested. The coffee/tea machine was slow. The décor could do with a coat of paint in our room. The bathrooms floor and bottom of the bath was cracked.
Review 24:The location was good. The hotel was good value for money. The staff were very helpful. This is pour second time at the hotel
Review 25:We had excellent service from Claudia, the receptionist. We left a jacket in the room when we left. She posted it on. We were. Very pleased. We recommend this hotel.
Review 26:Parking five to ten minutes from hotel.
Review 27:Location was great. Roses is a really nice town to visit. Buffet breakfast was good with lots of choices. The views from the room and the terrace were nice to have.
Review 28:Not having free wi fi and had difficulty it picking up on my tablet in breakfast area.
Review 29:Great position, having a relaxing area in the room and a fridge.
Review 30:The car parking offered by the hotel is about a five minute drive from the hotel or a 10 to 15 minute walk (depending on your level of mobility). This five minute drive is very much depending on your ability to locate the UNMARKED car park. The small map provided by the hotel advising the location of the parking, fails to advise the car parks location in relation to the hotel. Possibly because it's quite the hike. I did locate the parking (thanks to the staff at local tourist information centre. The information centre staff were confused by the motels little map creating quite the debate). With assistance I did locate the car park, it was located at the end of a very narrow gravel track on the edge of town? The car park gate at the end of the track has a small sign about 40 cm long and 5 cm high. The sign reads: Coral Platja Hotel elit.
Review 31:The hotel location is Great!
Review 32:Where do I begin? They had no on site parking so I circled the block 30 times while my husband checked in. Then we had to go to another hotel to get a pass and then drive to another location 5 minutes by car to park (where our hubcaps were stolen off our car that night). We then hiked back to the hotel which was a 15 minute walk. Upon checking in we were charged an extra €100 for my husband to stay with me... They said my original price quote was based on single occupancy, however my room didn't change. I paid €268 for a tiny, beaten up room with no air conditioning and a bed as stiff as a board. A two star with four star prices... Trust me.
Review 33:The location was great and we had a large terrace over looking the ocean.
Review 34:We were in room501 which had the terrace of which, the terrace canopy fixings were very noisy in windy conditions and the service door outside the same room needs to be silenceded somewhat when in use, early mornings when maids/ cleaners use it.
Review 35:Every thing was as We expected from the hotel and its ratings.
Review 36:Breakfast was a bit dull, and the sun protection shade over our terrace flapped and made a lot of noise in the wind, disturbing our sleep on the night it was windy.
Review 37:Our room was very comfortable and had a sink and large fridge, as well as a large terrace which we hadn't expected and enjoyed (though it was a bit windy when we stayed).
Review 38:We would have liked tea - making facilities, but we were lent a kettle when we asked.
Review 39:The position of the hotel and our room and the cleanliness
Review 40:Cold bacon and eggs, could not get a table in the restaraunt on a drink in the bar on new Years eve
Review 41:The location, the cleanliness of the room
Review 42:Bad isolation of rooms.
Review 43:Great rooms, right on the beach. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant.
Review 44:absence de surveillance du parking
Review 45:Situation en bord de mer
Review 46:We had a great room with sea view and excellent facilities. The breakfast was very good, with a great choice buffet
Review 47:I didn't get a room with sea view.

Review 58:Wifi was paid. Breakfast ordinary quality
Review 59:Location
Review 60:Fantastic location
Review 61:Muy buen servicio. Personal amable y profesional tanto en recepción como en el desayuno.
Review 62:Air conditioning was antiquated with nearly zero output.
Review 63:Great location across promenade from beautiful long beach. Perfect sand.
Review 64:Facilities are good, price is good value, location is central opposite the sea. Shops bars and resturants are next door.
Review 65:parking always a problem
Review 66:Christina at the front desk was perfect. She deserves a raise and a promotion.
Review 67:Would like free WiFi in rooms
Review 68:We had the best room for a bargain price.
Review 69:cold in the winter with the winds from the Pyrénées.
Review 70:Service, beach and seafood... I had a full lounger for a very reasonable price.
Review 71:No parking.
Review 72:Central location, spacious family room.
Review 73:Excellent hotel. Very clean, comfy beds, helpful staff (all speak English). Great breakfast wide variety of things to choose

Review 77:Location, size of room, great breakfast, friendly staff especially Joachim the manager
Review 78:Some bad smell from bars and restaurants downstairs.
Review 79:Very good hotel with very kind and sympathetic personnel. It's near clean and long beach.
Review 80:Decor Beds Pillows Hair dryer Lack of parking
Review 81:Some of the desk staff had some character which was fun to chat up. Breakfast included.
Review 82:No pets allowed AC took a day to be repaired Have been going to roses for years way too expensive for services
Review 83:Very good location, apartment with sea view and viev of promenada. The view during breakfast from the hotel restaurant just perfect.
Review 84:There is no terrasse in the room that is unusual for Spain. No utencils in kitchenette. Quite expensive.
Review 85:Staff
Review 86:The only thing which I would say we missed at the hotel was a lobby area to sit and relax and have a coffee or read the paper.
Review 87:The staff were great Edwardo and Claudia were most helpful and friendly at reception. The comfort and cleanliness were excellent and we had a great sleep each night. The breakfast was good and plentiful.
Review 88:Parking ticket machine on street took 5€ but still wrote ticket date and time for the very moment. Second ticket worked ok.
Review 89:the third bed, a standard sofa-bed was surprisingly good to sleep. I chose to sleep on sofa mode. The reason is the "wooden ribs" structure which gives anatomically perfectly balancing support for my back compared to even more expensive spring based systems. I used to have similar bed, best of beds ever. Also views very good and orange juice on breakfast was tasty.
Review 90:Not partictularly the problem of the hotel, but in general it feels that it is a resort for old French couples. Not exactly a youth place.
Review 91:The room is really spacious, you have a separate area with the sofas and chairs, and even a small kitchen. The bathroom has a bath tub. The location is wonderful. The breakfast is rich.
Review 92:This hotel does not feature its own parking ... and the non-free parking just in front of the hotel is very very often visited by the police :( ... so start the hunt for a free parking ... The room itself was a bit old-fashioned (enhanced double room) and expensive, we moved to another hotel
Review 93:Staff has been very friendly and they even tried to propose us alternative solutions :| One positive point is that you're really located in rosas center town.
Review 94:The kitchenette was out of shape and didn't have anything except few plates and forks - but fridge worked well and that was most important. Bed was short!
Review 95:Big and airy rooms, nice bathroom and of course the view. Breakfast was good with selection of fruits and some eggs/bacon. Coffee was not bad.
Review 96:Would have liked wi fi in the rooms, but won't stop us going again!
Review 97:Location, great for beach, shopping and restaurants. Having a fridge and being able to make a hot drink. Comfortable chairs to relax after site seeing.
Review 98:Although there was a kitchenette in the room there were no utensils we could use to make a drink. Staff provided us with these when we asked. Found bath/shower very slippery - a bath mat should be provided.
Review 99:Stay was for 4 nights and we found it very convenient and excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast first class. Would definitely stay again.
Review 100:Comfortable beds, crisp white bedding. Very clean. Friendly reception staff and cleaning staff. Good location for the town. Breakfast was satisfactory. Helpful assistant in the dining room. Good check in and out times.
Review 101:No hotel parking, but you can always find a parking place within about 100 metres of the hotel.
Review 102:Great Location, large comfortable rooms and spacious bathrooms. Taxi rank opposite the hotel door. Bars, Cafes and restaurants very close by.
Review 103:Restaurant very expensive, overpriced. Eur15 or more for 4 small prawns! We only ate there one lunch time. Very pleasant staff, however this didnot compensate for prices. Large room with kitchenette area with 1 dirtycup and a few saucers, we did not need this anyway but some peoplemight. Very dated bathroom in desperate need of refurbishment. Poorshower - no power, bad tiling. Not particularly clean! Cold scrambledeggs for breakfast, not pleasant. Did not like balcony which I wouldthink could be dangerous for very young children - open gratings all theway to floor.
Review 104:Excellent location. Very pleasant staff, particularly the night porter.Large room with sea view. Parking would be a problem and expensive highseason, fortunately when we stayed there were no parking charges on theroad outside the hotel and we did manage to park.
Review 105:price of drinks in bar. 21 euros for 2 gin and tonics ( a rip-off ) Small kitchenette in room had no utensils or pot , kettle etc despite having 2 electric rings. No facilities to make coffee etc
Review 106:room 504 had a huge corner terrace with panoramic views good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast
Review 107:The beds, like most in Europe, are two single beds stuck together so not the best for a couple.
Review 108:The location and sea view rooms are great! It's a bit old but not a bad place.
Review 109:Nothing
Review 110:The staff at arrival was extremely helpful. The cleaning staff was very friendly. Great breakfast. Central location in Roses. Easy travelling to Dali's house and museum. Plenty to see in the area.
Review 111:Receptionist more interested in talking to her co worker than giving usmuch attention at checkin.Later asked for an extra pillow and we arestill waiting for it.
Review 112:I booked this hotel for my parents who are 79 and 77 years old. On thereservation page I added that they were "old people". Thereceptionist, a lady, mentioned to them that the person who reserved online for them had said they were old and in her opinion theyweren'T. On many occasions she laughed and joked about this.Although my parents are elderly, they are physically fit but advanced intheir years and her repeated remakes caused a tension in ourrelationship during their stay in Roses and they were angry and insultedby the fact that I had stated they were "old". I think sheshould have been more discret about this subject.I Must add that theother receptionists were very polite and friendly.
Review 113:The restaurant was excellent but very expensive. Our meal with 2 adults and 2 children was 117 Euros. The hotel is under renovation on some of the floors makes a little much needed dust now but will be well worth the new. New furniture is needed.
Review 114:The location is excellent. The value was very good, especially with a young family. The room was large enough to sleep 4 with an old pull out couch.
Review 115:A relatively minor niggle was the fairly poor sound insulation betweenus and the floor above us, although this was only really noticeable whenthe occupants were, perhaps, restoring settees to day time use, afterbeing used as beds, or opening/closing doors, orarriving/departing. A real disappointment was to find that therestaurant was closed for refurbishing, as I understood that it featuredsome of the best sea-food dishes in Roses/Rosas, but that was notcatastropohic, as one has so many other good eating places there, barsor restaurants, to choose from, most of which are within s stones throwfrom the hotel. Will we go back to the hotel, yes, very much so, to seewhat the newly re-furbished restaurant is like, and how it has, hopefully, continued to keep up it's quality and service.
Review 116:Location, location, location. Spacious, well equipped and comfortabletwin-bedded room, with a good sized en-suite, which had a bath and anover-bath shower. Excellent view over the Bay of Rosas/Roses, fromour balcony. The few staff that we met were friendly, polite and veryhelpful. The standard of cleanliness throughout was top class.
Review 117:We liked everything
Review 118:Location, spacious and comfortable room. Fridge provided in room. Excellent choice at breakfast.
Review 119:Great location, excellent value for the price. Staff extremely helpful
Review 120:Parking can be a problem
Review 121:A good clean value for money hotel in an excellent location
Review 122:The bed was too small for a guy of 1m94. His feet were hanging out of hisb ed
Review 123:The room was clean, nice view, nice location, friendly staff.
Review 124:The bathroom needs to be refreshed
Review 125:The perfect location and the ocean view room.
