Reviews for Citotel Le Chalet Lyrique
Review 1:The restaurant staff, you had to sit in one place to have a drink and another place to eat and we felt very bossed around. Food was great but did not feel relaxed.
Review 2:The one lady in reception Catherine was fabulous, helpful and friendly.
Review 3:Comfortable, well-appointed room. Good food in their restaurant. The trees and flowers in the courtyard - and even a tree in the hotel stair-well - were attractive features
Review 4:Friendly and helpful gentleman on reception. Was most apologetic that the restaurant and bar were closed on sunday evenings but directed us to a excellent local brasserie.
Review 5:I needed bath tub to bathe children so I booked the room with bath tub. But the room had a shower only, so I asked to change the room but he said there was no family room with bath tub! False advertising.
Review 6:Nothing in particular. It can't be helped that we were hungry and needed dinner early, but the hotel restaurant only opened at 7.30pm for dinner. This is quite common in France, and we didn't have much of a choice as we arrived on a Monday and again, ala French culture, many of the other restaurants around the hotel were closed.
Review 7:This is a mid-range hotel with (warm) character, unlike the chain hotels. It is situated in what I think is a good suburb, away from Bordeaux city centre. Having your own means of transport is surely necessary. Check-in was a breeze, everything worked and breakfast was good. The boulangerie nearby, La Fournil, is a MUST to patronize.
Review 8:-when you book please be aware that hotel is not in Bordeaux, but outside the city, altough it is not far, it takes about 25 minutes by tram to the city centre
Review 9:-very clean nice room -friendly staff -amazing breakfast -nice dinning area outside the hotel -quiet location
Review 10:Standard of food in the restaurant and off-hand attitude of restaurant staff left a lot to be desired. Also, not value for money.
Review 11:Receptionist could not have been more helpful. Hotel easy to find and parking was available.
Review 12:the hotel advertisers it has air conditioned rooms, it was very hot while we were there and ours didn't work, so we had a very uncomfortable night. when we told them the next morning they said "sorry"
Review 13:overall our stay was ok. the restaurant was very nice, we didn't have breakfast though. there was a very large mosquito in our bathroom so we had to go looking for some repellent.
Review 14:Quite expensive. Bathroom very small and would benefit from redecoration.
Review 15:Good location in centre of town. Staff polite. Breakfast had good choice.
Review 16:Nothing
Review 17:Resturant we really nice
Review 18:Close to the airport when going south. Lot more 'soul' than usual one night stopover.
Review 19:Very charming and Frenchy. We even liked the flustered waiter. Food was awesome. Try profiteroles.
