Reviews for Castel Victoria

Review 1:I do think because the rooms are small that the price should reflect that.

Review 2:Friendly staff, lovely boutique hotel with tasteful decor. The style of the bathroom integrating with the bedroom is quite cool.

Review 3:We travelled off season but there is no off street parking which could be difficult when it's busy.

Review 4:We stayed just one night and were welcomed by a very friendly, helpful member of staff. The hotel is situated close to the town centre and beach. The decoration and furnishing is comfortable and modern.

Review 5:room was a little small, bed was not a comfy as it could have been

Review 6:good breakfast excellent location for the bars, resturants and sea front. Staff very helpful

Review 7:Breakfast was disappointing for €12

Review 8:Widley at reception is lovely, he was extremely helpful and knowledgable. The location is brilliant, one block back from the beautiful beach and a couple of streets from the action in town

Review 9:The bathroom in the bedroom separated by a curtain was a little cosy ,but the shower which had two shower heads was very nice.

Review 10:Good location, quaint balcony which was lovely for pre dinner drinks. Billiard table was a nice addition. Room spacious.

Review 11:The wifi was cumbersome to access. There is no car park but street parking was plentiful, even on a Friday afternoon.

Review 12:Ideally placed close to the centre but far enough away (5 mins on foot) to be quiet and all at a low cost.

Review 13:Room was hot, no air con. The room was small but we were expecting that.

Review 14:Good location, spotlessly clean, good free Wi-Fi. Easy on-street parking nearby costs 4 Euros per day.

Review 15:We had a cosy room, which was exceptionally small.

Review 16:Location is perfect, just out of the main strip and close to the beach where it's easy to park the car.

Review 17:The only negative factor to raise is that the "comfy room" was a tight fit with the basin being beside the double bed.

Review 18:We enjoyed the staff friendliness who could not do too much for us in our questions, boking a taxi and taking our picnic rubbish in and washing our container. The facilities of a games room, neat courtyard and balcony in which to sit and relax, was an unexpected delight.

Review 19:Cosy rooms VERY cosy (i.e. very small, well worth having a balcony, although they are shared with the room next door.) Shower and basin are literally next to the bed. OK so long as you are not planning on spending much time in the room.

Review 20:Very nice staff, helpful and available. Modern decoration, decent lounge bar serving drinks and a pool table. Sunny terrace upstairs. Excellent location, close to everything and parking ok on the street even on busy weekends.

Review 21:Not bad, but the comfort double room layout is odd - there's only a curtain between the shower and sink and the bed. This and the small size of the room was fine for a single traveller but may be a little too cosy for a couple.

Review 22:The room was very comfortable and well kept. Also nice & quiet. I was there on a Thursday night in June, so parking was free all around.

Review 23:No fan or air-conditioning. It was 36 degrees during our stay and we sweltered. Wi-fi OK but had to repeatedly log-in. Shower and basin are separated by a curtain but this is shown in the pictures.

Review 24:Room feels spacious. Very clean. Free parking Monday-Friday. 5 minute walk to the sea and local restaurants.

Review 25:Noisy at night if you are unlucky enough to get a room over the roadside of the hotel. Breakfast was a bit basic. Fresh fruit bowl was mostly apple and no cooked food offered. The stair bannisters need a good clean as they were very sticky.

Review 26:The hotel rooms were lovely and clean. If you don't mind small bedrooms it is in a perfect location. Just a block from the seafront and the beautiful town.

Review 27:Shower tended to flood the room so wet bathroom floor! Pillows were a little lumpy.

Review 28:Friendly helpful staff, good sized room, quiet and very comfortable bed. Breakfast good value, given normal Le Touquet prices!

Review 29:Weather and very much off season

Review 30:Location, near plenty of cafes and bars, not far from the promenade. Really good stopover when travelling down from Calais

Review 31:As other reviewers have said, the rooms are compact but fine for a one night stay. Staff very friendly, and the sun deck kept the sun until evening. Exceptionally comfortable bed.

Review 32:Would not pay the full rack price for the cosy rooms. En suite separated be curtain but it does work fir one night stay

Review 33:Great place, small room but great for one night stay, good location near the center. Helpful staff, friendly and informal. Basic breakfast

Review 34:The room was very small without tea/ coffee making facility in room and the bar was a little expensive.

Review 35:Then hotel was clean and tidy with nice bar area.

Review 36:Nothing to dislike about the hotel.

Review 37:2nd stay at the hotel and it again was excellent in every way. Had breakfast this time and could not fault the continental breakfast. Staff as always approachable, extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. The only place I would stay in Le Touquet.

Review 38:There was really nothing to dislike. There was no car parking which we were aware of but we used a large surface car park a few minutes away. This is normally a pay car park but free over the post Xmas period.

Review 39:The location was just out of the town centre and its bustle but really only a short walk to the restaurants and shops. Refurbished 3 years ago and done very tastefully with UK/American vinyl albums on the lounge wall. Although small, a good comfortable bedroom with all that we needed for one night. Very helpful and kind staff.

Review 40:Room was (even for a double) very small. Don't bring large pieces of luggage. No possibillity to open window to let in some fresh air.Walls very thin. You could hear water running, people talking etc.

Review 41:Location is good: close to beach and shops. Staff is very nice. I booked and paid for single room and was given a double. The terrace was very nice. Hotel very clean. Modern design was stylish.

Review 42:Rooms quite small and no air con

Review 43:No need to use the car Fabulous range of restaurants nearby Wonderful clean beaches perfect for picnics Small Carrefour city for wine and snacks Good variety of shops

Review 44:Difficult to get back in at 11.30, door lock broken, no staff and phone not answered

Review 45:Like the location, they let us in the room early. Modern design of room utilising space very well

Review 46:room small (but very well designed to make maximum use of the available space).

Review 47:polite efficient staff, quiet location, excellent black out shutters, comfortable bed.

Review 48:Price of breakfast was a little high, I didn't pay the EURO12 for breakfast, instead I went to a local cafe and paid 6.95 which was fine.

Review 49:Location is perfect, close to main restaurants and bars, but far enough away to appreciate a bit of peace and quiet. Room was very large and the shower was excellent

Review 50:All good!

Review 51:The room although 'cosy' had the benefit of a terrace plus the garden and roof terrace plus the lounge meant there were plenty of open spaces to go when we were in the hotel. Excellent location 300m to the main street and 300m to the beach. We will be back.

Review 52:Struggling to think of something..no tea tray in the room, but that's common in Europe.Nothing else.

Review 53:From the minute we arrived, the staff were just delightful, though young. We speak some French but they were all keen to practise their English. The room was modern and well equipped..couldn't fault it.We shall return!

Review 54:Bar prices put us off enjoying drinks in the lounge €30-€39 a bottle of wine. Shame no tea/coffee/kettle in room. Dont need a chair or stool in bedroom, room too small to use them and they take up much needed space.

Review 55:The breakfast is definitely worth the extra €12, cheaper options in the town but a lot less choice or quantity than is served here. Stylish bar/lounge/breakfast area. Glad we booked a room with its own balcony. Very clean hotel. Comfortable, large double bed. Friendly.

Review 56:no lift could be a problem no parking available which is a pain in this city

Review 57:good location, good bed very large, good breakfast (not much salted food)

Review 58:Would have liked a tea & coffee tray in room

Review 59:Great hotel very good location 5 mins walk to beach and town

Review 60:Warm welcome, great location good value

Review 61:Very friendly and helpful staff. Our French is not great, but he made booking in and finding local amenities very easy.

Review 62:We love staying in Le Touquet , and found this little gem for a lovely 1 night stay on our way back to the U.K

Review 63:Excellent customer service !

Review 64:The room is ideally located and had a lovely outside terrace area

Review 65:Nothing

Review 68:Staff helpful needed a charger and they helped out.

Review 69:Very helpful staff. Great room with balcony. Located near enough to Main Street but far enough away for total quiet at night.

Review 70:Friendly staff, great location.

Review 71:Parking is a problem. lack of liquor licence.

Review 100:Room bit cramped but comfortable and clean

Review 101:Perfect location for town and beach

Review 102:great location and very friendly staff

Review 103:Central to beach and town, easy parking which was free during the week. Staff are very friendly and laid back. We had the room with balcony, its south facing and fantastic when the sun is shining. Room is compact but clean and modern, cant go wrong really.

Review 104:Very very thin walls. You could hear absolutely everything everyone was doing in the adjoining rooms and on the staircase.

Review 105:Location excellent, breakfast adequate & staff friendly. Cosy room with balcony a must as was fortunate to have a bottle of champagne out on the balcony in the sunshine with the bonus of a sea view.

Review 106:Breakfast was acceptable but for 12 euros was expensive. The bedroom was very compact.

Review 107:Easy walking distance to the beach and town, in a quiet area. Nice lounge facilities and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 108:The 'cosy' room was quite small, fairly basically furnished, but had small terrace outside overlooking street. Quite adequate for an overnight stay.

Review 109:A very friendly hotel, well situated close to town and beach (2 minutes), and good selection of restaurants. Quiet, with convenient parking in roads adjacent to hotel. Staff helpful.

Review 110:Nothing it was great, although as with a lot of hotels now tea and coffee making facilities wouldn't go amiss.

Review 111:Warm welcome from all staff. Modern, clean and comfortable room and lounge areas. Lovely terrace and Zen garden. Perfect location near all amenities but also quiet. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we prefer to go out for breakfast.

Review 112:Good description of hotel, very much what we were expecting, very accurate. We had cosy room with terrace. Room is definitely cosy ....modern and totally compact and well thought out. Best for a couple of nights as was very small but nice to have terrace. A fantastic bonus was the hotel lending us bikes to cycle around le Touquet, a real treat. We had a great short stay in le Touquet and would definitely recommend it and hotel.

Review 113:One small draw back was that bar was only licenced for drinks up to 18% so no nightcap! Not a big issue though.

Review 114:Very friendly staff all spoke good English. Everywhere clean and well appointed. Would definitely go back.

Review 115:Very friendly and informative staff. They directed us to a super restaurant for moules/frites!! Room was small but ideal for just the two of us; spotless and smartly decorated/appointed.

Review 116:Room 204 had very low roof beams notification should have beengiven. Lack of wardrobe hanging space and hangers Car parking is abit of a problem

Review 117:Staff excellent Breakfast very good Terrace and garden great but seatingwould benefit with the addition of some cushions

Review 118:Nothing.

Review 119:Great location: one block from the beach and the main shopping street. Really nice staff: very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Widley. Super clean room: the room looked new/newly refurbished with great powerful shower and comfortable big beds. We had the room 101 which opens on the terrace. No one used it while we were there but I guess it could be noisy if it was full. Would stay there again for a weekend.

Review 120:Cosy Rooms WERE very small, but actually is fine for one night. Would advise taking one with a balcony. The "Charme" rooms were significantly bigger.

Review 121:Staff amazing (friendly, kind, v helpful). All speak good English. Location only 3/4 minutes' walk from town. In quiet location. Rooms very modern and clean. Shower very good.

Review 122:Nothing!

Review 123:Really friendly helpful staff (thanks Marie!) Brilliant design room - great shower, super bed Delicious breakfast Quiet Amazing value for money

Review 124:Some rooms seem to be small. Ask for a big one.

Review 125:Very nice small hotel with beautiful decoration. Well located - quietstreet but still close to the beach and restaurant / shopping area.

Review 126:More of an observation than major criticism: Room felt a little"budget" compared to the rest of the hotel. Kettle in room would be good. No Savoury option at breakfast

Review 127:Staff were brilliant. Very helpful, knowledgeable and polite. Bed very comfortable Classy Bar and pool table a nice touch
