Summer in Scandinavia is bright all day long and it interupts sleep. Maybe a bathrobe would be an added requirement since the communal shower is also not attached to the rooms.

Set in a house as old as the Town Hall (1764) you really are buying into the experience and not just the rooms. Stylish yet not overdone, it's an understated elegance throughout. Having the owner deal with you directly is such a wonderful experience.

In the perfectly equipped common area, you could invite yourself to a big basket of fruits and pastries at any time (could have been a New Year's treat...). Delicious, home-cooked breakfast in nice surroundings prepared by the lovely lady of the house who is keen to attend to all your needs. A perfect balance of high professionalism and homely feel.

Review 52：very small room, dangerous staircase (especially when carrying a suitcase), no parking, very low ceiling & beams (you WILL hit your head if you're over 1m60 tall), sharing 1 toilet with 4 rooms, no sound isolation and our neighbor was snoring very loudly, no TV in the room (but really, there wasn't any space for it..)

Review 61：The location is simply unique: the very heart of Porvoo. Interior design is superb - it definitely has a soul! The ceiling beams add up to the fun. The hotel is brand-new and immaculately clean. Some rooms are just huge! The hotel owner is friendly and efficient. In winter time you can have the hotel all to yourself.
