Reviews for Côté Mer

Review 1:Sound insulation but the rules are clear and respected by all the residents We were very impressed

Review 2:Location is great Kindness of the owners CHARM of the breakfast room

Review 3:Could have done with a couple more electric points but not a big deal.

Review 4:Beautifully presented accommodation and friendly, helpful staff. We will stay again.

Review 5:We loved the location of the hotel, so close to all the nice restaurants, bars ,shops and beach. Parking was really easy just a few blocks away for a reasonable price, 4 euro's a day. The host of the hotel was really friendly!

Review 6:We stayed in Côté Mer only for 1 night. We were delighted by the extremely friendly welcome, the delicious breakfast and the recommendation of the restaurant Blues Café on the corner, just 20 meters away, which was excellent. The city, Le Touquet is also definitely worth a visit! Côté Mer is absolutely to be recommended!

Review 7:Slight musty smell in our friend's room. No 2 on first floor.

Review 8:The owner,Nicholas is a really friendly and sociable man with a wicked sense of humour. He made us feel extremely welcome and was very helpful advising best restaurants etc. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the location perfect. Breakfast was delicious, even home made cake, courtesy of the host!!!!

Review 9:Nothing to do with hotel but area over priced could be very expensive for family holiday

Review 10:Clean room value for money nice breakfast good value for area great location very comfortable beds

Review 11:This is how to do a breakfast. All quality ingredients - both cured and cooked hams, cheeses, pastries, great bread, muesli and fruits, home made chocolate cake. And all in a lovely room. I enjoy chatting with Nicholas who remembered me from my last stay - a good skill to have. He's quite the character. Double room with balcony for the money is fantastic. Location is perfect - just up from the seafront and just round the corner from all the shops and restaurants. Park in the next street across for just 4 euros a day. Obviously I'm going back again.

Review 12:Parking was some way away due to a bank holiday weekend, although there is a place to unload at the hotel.

Review 13:Very quiet street, but just a few minutes walk from the beach and town centre.

Review 14:Free wifi code didn't work

Review 15:Reasonably easy on-street parking, very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, interesting and idiosyncratic decor, host's excellent English (and willingness to improve our French), and his ability to solve a difficult rescue problem (one of us locked in bathroom...).

Review 16:WFI was a bit hit & miss but that is a small issue.

Review 17:Greeted by the owners whose English was very good, given recommendations for local eaterys, comfortable adjoining family room all in all a very good stay. Excellent buffet style breakfast.

Review 18:Was a bit cold and carpet was a little worn. Definitely need a new cupboard at the top of the stairs in keeping with the other lovely furniture in the hotel

Review 19:The owner was really personable and funny. The hotel was very convenient for the town and beach. Family room was spacious and decor was good. Did the job for what we wanted. Much more character than the big chain hotels.

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:The rooms were very cosy with a lovely balcony, and the breakfast room was beautifully furnished. A nice selection of continental food and fruits. The couple who run it are very friendly and welcoming. Great location and fantastic value for money.

Review 22:A bit loud in the rooms when people are walking down the corridor (but we were pre-warned)

Review 23:Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great. Clean rooms. Gasper is super cute (resident beagle)

Review 24:Plug didn't work in the sink, some black mould in the grout in the bathroom, noise from other guests as our room was straight off the stairs. The rediculous cost of parking in the over priced town of Le Touquet.

Review 25:Location of the Hotel and the member of staff we met. Value for money.

Review 26:Managers were great! Very friendly, helpful and with good humour! Room with balcony, a very comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast room very nicely decorated, full of charm and character. Excellent location, in a quiet side street but just 2 minutes walk from shops and restaurants

Review 27:Blankets rather than duvet on the bed - but it was okay

Review 28:Friendly owner, very obliging. Position in town was ideal; central but away from the noise. Excellent homemade jams for breakfast.

Review 29:I didn't like the fact the wifi kept throwing me off the internet and that we couldn't choose English Channels even though there was an option.

Review 30:I loved the helpful chap at reception who kindly took our bags and made us welcome. The style of the rooms and the breakfast.

Review 31:We liked the warm & friendly welcome + the comfortable & cosy room. We were given some good tips for restaurants. Copious breakfast in the morning with the hostess plus a kind send-off from Monsieur l'Hôte.

Review 32:Parking could be a problem in peak season

Review 33:Good value, clean room, Central location and friendly owner

Review 34:Very friendly owner, very welcoming and helpful. Great location

Review 35:Nothing really. We thought the breakfast was a touch pricey but this is optional.

Review 40:Great little hotel, friendly, nice breakfast

Review 41:Tired décor, shower dodgy, carpet awful.

Review 54:Very friendly host, central location, clean & comfortable, excellent breakfast.

Review 55:Twin room was in need of repair and an up grade

Review 56:Breakfast and double room

Review 57:Nothing!

Review 58:Nicholas - the proprietor - who looked after us; and the location between the Promenade and Rue de Metz!

Review 59:A kettle in the room would have been nice. Old building so a few maintenance issues but they were fixed at once.

Review 60:Friendly helpful staff

Review 61:Lack of parking Noisy in the morning as corridors and stairs wooden

Review 62:Host was funny Very relaxed Very hot water Central location

Review 63:Basic bathroom facilities.

Review 64:The owner, his dog Gaspard and the breakfast.

Review 65:Great location. Lovely room, nicely decorated & furnished. Very clean. Friendly owners. Great value.

Review 66:It rained:(

Review 67:Excellent location, and clean bed and room to come home to.

Review 68:Wifi, unable to connect

Review 69:Location, staff, breakfast

Review 70:No Tea/Coffee making stuff !

Review 71:Room was kept nice and clean

Review 72:- The welcome. - The guy who ran the place was fun and even got people at breakfast to sing happy birthday to my wife. - Great atmosphere at breakfast. - Quiet.

Review 73:Traffic was noise went on and off down the street all night, for such a small place, where are they all off too!!! Streets are very narrow so noise bounces off the walls! When booking the room with you, booking.com the pics of the rooms showed nicely decorated rooms. I think the family room missed out a little on the nice decor, it was a little drab!! I think maybe if I'd seen a pic of the family room I may not of booked. Still it was clean

Review 74:Location is just the best Nice friendly owners, we arrived late, phoned ahead to say we'd be late and the owners instructions on how to get into Hotel and our room were first class.

Review 75:Wi-fi didn't stay connected and you had to watch a 2 min video advert each time before you could get on line

Review 76:the owner was very friendly and helpful. the location was excellent as was very next to walk to bars/shops/restaurants. Very clean with comfortable bed.

Review 77:I chose this hotel after reading the reviews, unfortunately we were in Room 1 which was like a cupboard and shabby. The bed was pushed against a wall on one side and every time my husband wanted to get out he had to crawl to the foot of the bed to get out. The bed was comfy but had a plastic sheet underneath which was extremely hot. We had to get a torch out of the car to be able to see into the wardrobe to get our clothes out as it was so dark, lighting in the wardrobe was by way of a light with a sensor which came on when opening the wardrobe which was inadequate. The shower although powerful was fitted waist high and so held to be held while washing above waist height. It was quite windy on a couple of nights and the tarpaulin on the neighbours roof was flapping in the wind which woke me up on numerous occasions, no hook on window so that was banging too. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, nice breakfast room. This is really no more than a B&B and we would not return. Location is great a five minute walk to shops or beach. Parking was free and easy to find during the time we were there, you have to pay on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 euros an hour. A map is available at the Tourist info office which gives times when parking is free. It is also shown on the parking meters. Le Touquet itself had plenty of restaurants and high end shops which are very expensive. It's a shame the smaller hotels don't appear to match the resort. I would say the this hotel tries to give the appearance of Shabby Chic but it's more shabby than chic.

Review 78:Quiet central location, ease of parking

Review 79:We had a comfortable family room for 3. We arrived very late but there is a building code, so it was very convenient. You just need to phone before to know the code. Room was good and breakfast was really great. You can see that the owner has good taste for decoration.

Review 80:The 8 hour drive from the Dordogne!

Review 81:The location of the hotel to the centre of Le Touquet, and how close it was to the beach, would certainly consider staying there again. After an 8 hour drive it was lovely to arrive in a lovely clean and tidy room.

Review 82:parking can be difficult in high season because it is so centrally located (which is good) but there was space for loading/unloading baggage right outside.

Review 83:Very friendly owners. Attention to detail. Well decorated and designed. comfortable. Very clean. Very central to restaurants but also within easy walking of the beach.

Review 84:the location was brilliant, down a quiet street but near all amenities. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved it there and would most certainly return.Thank You! :)

Review 85:Nothing. It was good value for money.

Review 86:The hotel makes a point that it wishes guests to be considerate of other guests when arriving back late and is, in my opinion, suited to couples who are looking for a quiet stay. There are plenty of hotels in town that can cater for large groups.

Review 87:Shame about their roof repairs, but they would be finished were it not for the neighbour not liking the colour.

Review 88:Lovely hotel, owner was friendly and funny, good breakfast. A great position in Le Touquet and a great stay. Good value for such an expensive area.

Review 89:reception is not always opened. tv made a annoying buzzing sound during the night (solution: unplug the powercord)

Review 90:small cozy hotel, only 10 rooms. very nicely decorated, silent rooms and good beds. friendly staff. powerfull shower. simple but fresh breakfast. just a few minutes walk to the beach. downtown restaurants, bars and shows just around the corner. easy (payed) parking in the streets.

Review 91:The shower wasn't brilliant

Review 92:The location is perfect ... quiet but only 1 minute walk from the shops and 5 mins from the beach. Excellent value for money and rooms very nice

Review 93:cant control the weather !

Review 94:the hotel was in a great location for walking around Le Touquet. The owners have done a great job on renovation. Room size is what you would expect, great for sleeping and getting ready , but limited for 'relaxing in room. Breakfast wonderful and great value. Owner thats friendly, loves his 'job' and makes you welcome.

Review 95:Room was very small and cold, and unfortunately we were affected by a Le Touquet power cut the following morning

Review 96:Very warm welcome, and very clean room and bathroom.

Review 97:we realy liked the town with its mix of architecture and super beach the French were fine the prices in shops were to expensive.

Review 98:Quaint little hotel right in the heart of LeTouquet.

Review 99:Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Le Touquet.

Review 100:Great value for money Nice design of the rooms

Review 101:Expensive breakfast, not particularly comfortable

Review 102:Location

Review 103:Would prefer duvets to blankets.

Review 104:Rooms/hotel very clean. Breakfast very good selection. Relaxed atmosphere. Very close to restaurants and shops.

Review 105:The owner is a very nice guy and happy to help. The room was confortable quiet and clean. Great breakfast. We willl certainly return to this hotel

Review 106:A cell within a prison block - no character, no amenities with absolutely nothing to recommend it.

Review 107:Somewhere to sleep and bathe

Review 108:No negatives

Review 109:The owner and the breakfasts

Review 110:Clean, comfortable, good location, friendly so would go back again.

Review 116:Convenient for seafront and restaurants. Quiet location. Free parking outside the hotel.
