Reviews for Hotel Miramar
Review 1:Proprietor was friendly. Location was beautiful and quiet, with wonderful access to the Mediterranean sea. Breakfasts were delightful. Staff was warm, helpful, and cheerful. Room was charming.
Review 2:Delightful place, personal and very friendly and welcoming. I loved it and felt really happy there. I would definitely stay there again, but would only take an upstairs room as the downstairs one I had to start with was a little damp and dark with no views. Beautiful beach and quiet area. Lovely
Review 3:You need to be aware that all the restaurants within walking distance shut at 7pm. We had to get back on the motorbike to drive 10 minutes into Antibes town but it turned out to be well worth the trip!
Review 4:fantastic location a few steps away from the seafront. Lovely, quirky hotel with pleasant, helpful staff who could speak English. Parking was outside on the road but there seemed enough spaces.
Review 5:Perhaps a bit too far from the attractions of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins to walk.
Review 6:Fabulous quiet location, great facilities - even a help-yourself bar. Charming service.
Review 7:We liked the location and were very disappointed of the room, so small and interior need a lot of up to dates. Our room on first floor were awful without any good feeling. Instead of 99 euro which is shamefull and 11 euro for our 5 kg dog. I think this is worth about 50 euro in total..
Review 8:We love the Madame in the hotel who wanted to fix everything!!! The location is good near the see but the area does not live up to any form of French Riveria style. Needs of refreshments everywhere.
Review 9:Slow Wi-Fi, which is also not working in most of the public areas; reception closes quite early
Review 10:Feel-at-home atmosphere, a minute walk from La Garoupe beach, located in a quite area of Cap d'Antibes
Review 11:A big bug that we have found in our bathroom Very outdated room and bathroom Noisy wooden mat in a hallway in front of the room entrance Location (overcrowded beach and dirty sea)
Review 12:Very kind and helpful owner Very nice French breakfast Good pancakes Nicely decorated reception and dining area
Review 13:We spent 3 nights here last year and returned for 2 weeks this year. It is a clean comfortable place with a friendly quaint atmosphere. Proprietor and staff are very nice people.
Review 14:No problems
Review 15:Great location on the Cap with splendid sea views
Review 16:Loved everything Fantastic holiday
Review 17:Everything. It was a fantastic choice. X
Review 18:Lack of cleanliness Dog
Review 19:Location
Review 20:Breakfast Staff friendliness
Review 21:No parking, room was dark, no screens on windows, no refund if not happy with the room.
Review 22:Room a bit small
Review 23:Close to the beach and very nice breakfast
Review 24:Nothing
Review 25:We stayed for 3 nights as part of a driving holiday. The hotel is only small but is very quaint and the style is such that you feel you are a guest in someone's house. It is spotlessly clean. The family who own/run it are lovely, friendly people and very helpful. The hotel is not `manned' at night and operates an `honesty' bar - so if you want a night cap you just write down what you have had. We would go back.
Review 26:If you respect your self even if you are desperate don't stay there it's awful it's smells bad & it's very expensive for it's class. They claim that it's a 3 star hotel & in reality it's for 0 stars.
Review 27:Breakfast was 13 euros each per morning. Although it was said to be extra on the documentation it was never spelt out to us when we arrived. I assumed that a basket of breads and a small assortment of those tiny jam jars and butter would have been a complimentary breakfast and the paid breakfast would have been something more substantial. Not to mention coffee was mediocre. For a hotel that looks and feels slightly better than a hostel they are expensive. No parking reserved for guests btw, so if you miss out you can park all the way down in Spain for all they care.
Review 28:Frindliness.
Review 29:Hotel is out by resorts and an hour walk from town. We couldn't find a single place to get dinner except for the ultra-luxurious hotel restaurant next door (entrees were at least $40/person). Ended up getting grocery store food for dinner both nights, and were scolded by a woman in the hotel staff for using a plate from their self-serve bar. All over very frustrating. Absolutely do not stay here unless you have a car! I would much rather have booked a hotel in old town a little further from the water. We ended up spending most of our time in Antibes walking to get into areas with food and things to do/see.
Review 30:Cute room with a nice view. Also a nice patio we enjoyed very much.
Review 31:13 Euros for breakfast of coffee & bread was poor value. Not even some cereal.
Review 32:Proximity to the beach. It was possible to park & not on a main road, so it was quiet
Review 33:Excellent location on Cap d'Antibes near Juan le Pin, Antibes Cannes Nice. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast, and facilities for guests your every need taken care of.
Review 34:Manager/owner not very friendly if you didn't speak French well. Rooms were very small with small bathroom. No assistance with luggage.
Review 35:Close to beaches. Clean and nice interior.
Review 36:The breakfast was very good, but I would have liked to know that it was an extra cost, and not included in the original booking fee.
Review 37:Courteous and friendly service, a clean and comfortable room, a very quiet location, but close to the beach.
Review 38:A little noisy ,depending who your neighbour is. Thin walls!
Review 39:Excellent location to enjoy the sea, whether it be a walk along the coastal trail or a swim in the Mediterranean .
Review 40:Thin room walls, could hear everything from the neighbour Expensive breakfast Small rooms (but cosy:-))
Review 41:Very friendly owner Nice beach Quite location Is located near to the sea Parking place provided
Review 42:I missed even small refrigerator in the room
Review 43:The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location: really some 30-50 m from small sandy beach and very close to beautiful Cap d Antibes.
Review 44:Small, friendly, clean and comfortable. A family business with a friendly, helpful and relaxed atmosphere. Right by the beach it is. ideal for a completely unpressured stay, but if required the Wifi works fine. Cap D'antibes is not cheap so take Michel and Marie-Claude's recommendations for places to dine and shop, it will save money and maximize value..
Review 45:It wasnt anything wrong with the hotel but in my opinion you need a carbecause as we found out that it is extremely difficult to get a taxithere is not enough and they dont want the work!!!oh and when you do getone they charge a fortune!!
Review 46:Lovely hotel ,lovely surroundings perfect for what we wanted toexplore antibes
Review 47:We arrived and they put us in the wrong room. They never got the changes we made on the reservation. The room was very small for two people which was not that big of a deal, we were just not expecting that from the photos. The mattress was very uncomfortable which led to a poor night sleep. We noticed the second day that we had the same towels and they never changed the sheets both days. Both nights when we came back to the hotel late there was a foul smell of some sort of sewage. We were originally booked for 6 nights and left after the second night. We had to pay for two extra nights doing this, but had to considering the circumstances.
Review 48:The people who worked there were nice.
Review 49:Very friendly reception. Cute small hotel. On a quiet side street about 30 meters from the ocean front. Would be less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful views from the beach. Keeping in mind that Cap d'Antibes is some of the most valuable real estate in Europe, this small hotel represents good value in a quiet setting, and a good base for exploring the area. Desk manager is very helpful.
Review 50:The staff is really helpful and friendly. You have the feeling that the hotel is run by a family and you are regarded as kind of part of it. They do care about you.
Review 51:The rooms are very small and the sea-view is not direct. But we knowthat in advance and for 2 nights it was more than ok.
Review 52:Nice breakfast and sympathic owners. Everything very clean and bright.
Review 53:the breakfast in not included in the rates
Review 54:it was clean but the room was small. The owner was very nice and helpfull. We could park outside the hotel without paying. The area is nice and safe. The sea is just few minutes walk.
Review 55:Having to leave.
Review 56:The staff are really lovely and simply couldn't have been more welcoming. It's like staying in someones home!
Review 57:The breakfast is expensive.
Review 58:Nice hotel close to the beach.
Review 59:Very good but expencive breakfast!
Review 60:Friendly, nice and clean.
Review 61:Lovely step. nice breakfast. location
Review 62:Could not fault anything about the hotel. Location, staff, everything was perfect, stay just was not long enough.
