Reviews for Hôtel Bristol

Review 1:Not enough towels, could do with more. No hairdryer in the room had to get one from reception.

Review 2:Location is perfect close to town centre, market and beach. Staff were polite and helpful a relaxing atmosphere. Quiet comfortable room.

Review 3:I was ill with flu and the lack of any possibility of getting a hot drink without paying through the nose for room service made this a really difficult experience for me. There was no kettle or tea making facility in the room, and no restaurant (apart from breakfast). There wasn't even any complimentary mineral water in the rooms. Apart from this, the bathroom should have had a shower screen, the curtains should have been more light-proof and the sound insulation was appalling. It sounded like there were elephants in the room above us.

Review 4:Location was very good - near the beach, shops and restaurants. The room decor was pleasant if basic - see also my more detailed comments.

Review 5:Light on the bedhead did not work and was never repaired during our 3 night stay.

Review 6:A comfortable hotel close to the beach but also very close to the many good restaurants in the centre of Le Touquet. The staff are charming and helpful

Review 7:Hotel room cold when we arrived at 5.00pm on the Friday - heating comes on too late. Having to pay extra for parking when not many in hotel Breakfast buffet fine for a weekend break but would become bland if staying longer as no real changes to selection No tea or coffee making facilities in bedroom - poor for a hotel of this standard.

Review 8:Location - ideal for town, the shops and restaurants as well as seafront. Good parking if you book. in quiet area so no night noise from street Lovely bedroom, good bed and linen made for a very comfortable night.

Review 9:It would be nice to be able to get a sandwhich or some sort of snack at lunchtime in the bar.

Review 10:The postion is close to the town an dthere is parking on site.

Review 11:I think 12 euros for a continental breakfast is quite high and was informed that another 4 euros would be charged for a cooked breakfast There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room ,no hairdryer and no safe.I don't they should charge for the hotel car park It should be free for residents.

Review 12:The staff were friendly and helpful and hotel was very clean and comfortable ,it was like home. The location is excellent and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 13:Lack of extras on the room eg hairdryer and kettle. But I believe that is the French way.

Review 14:Fantastic central location.Equal distance to a beautiful beach and fresh vibrant shops. We will definitely be back. A perfect french weekend escape.

Review 15:Toilet was wall mounted and loose which was disconcerting!

Review 16:The Bristol is perfectly located to make the most of the town and beach, and it is charming.

Review 17:We can see this hotel has some good upgrading in progress but our economy room (€103) did need a little attention as did the outside of the hotel. No air con in room Felt a little insecure leaving huge windows open Mildew stains on silicone around the bath

Review 18:Position of this hotel is excellent Close to restaurants, market and a stone's throw from the beach Free Wifi Comfortable bed Helpful and pleasant staff TV in room Spacious public areas Easy free parking outside (out of season)

Review 19:The staff were fantastic, we arrived in Le Touquet early AM and they had our room ready extra early for us. The room was lovely - comfortable and clean. We didn't have breakfast preferring to wander in to town the next day. Location is fantastic.

Review 20:The staff were helpful, the bedrooms recently refurbished to a very high standard, outside of building being done soon. Very close to the centre of Le Touquet with bars and restaurants in abundance, as only breakfast is supplied by the hotel.

Review 21:Very good location to main town facilities and although hotel did not have its own restaurant the staff were extremely helpful in offering recommendations

Review 22:Dated, room facilities poor (no shower no tea or coffee no wifi in that room). We booked 2 rooms one was supposed to be a superior at €30 extra. Exactly the same as the other room.

Review 23:Spacious rooms

Review 24:You're definitely paying for the location. The room was expensive but pretty basic. Breakfast for two would have been a substantial extra on top of an already high price. And you really need to book parking. We found street parking, and paid, which was less than the hotel would have been, but it was unwelcome extra hassle, after an already long trip to get to Le Touquet.

Review 25:Great location. Very quiet, even though right in the town centre, and very close to fantastic bars and restaurants.

Review 26:we parked our car a few yards away from the hotel in a similar position to previous years. We did not know, however, that the Market had extended further up the road towards the Hotel, resulting in the vehicle being forcibly removed and parked at an angle on the pavement opposite.Even though the handbrake was on and the steering had locked they still managed it without activating the alarm and it appears that no damage has occured

Review 27:Would have liked air conditioning and extractor fan in bathroom. Wider choice for breakfast - pastries etc.

Review 28:Very comfortable hotel. Main attraction is position - closeness to beach, town, facilities - all within walking distance.

Review 29:This was our 2nd visit, still a Lovely resort, hotel good position in town, close to many Restaurants and shops, nice people, made very welcome, staff v good + good service.

Review 30:Smallish room but ok. When we stayed July 1st, temp reached 38 C although the corridors leading to the room were cool the room itself didn't have an AC or a fan. Maybe the superior rooms have AC's fitted?? Minor black mould on grout around front of bath/shower needs attention

Review 31:Location, staff, courtyard, were as good as you would get anywhere, nothing a problem to them. It's nice to stay in a hotel with pleasant people. This is a good hotel that needs updating with some TLC.

Review 32:Outside area / hotel walls needed a lick of paint.

Review 33:Great location short walk to all bars and restaurants and the beach but far enough away to be quiet.

Review 34:The room lacked certain facilities that one would expect to find: no kettle/facilities for making drinks; no fridge either. Such things should be standard in a hotel like this.

Review 35:Ideal location for the sea and main parts of the town.

Review 36:Limited parking, so you need to reserve a space when you book your room. As with most hotels in Le Touquet, there is no air conditioning.

Review 37:The room was spacious and comfortable with a king size bed. The breakfast room is good and the hotel has a relaxing bar: particularly good if you want an evening drink.

Review 38:Door in bathroom was tricky to get around but this is a tiny tiny detail.

Review 39:Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room was clean, well laid out and comfortable. Great location, near the beach and restaurants only a 5 minute walk away.

Review 40:Centrally located for all the delights of Le Touquet, Le Bristol is a comfortable and friendly hotel with a typically French ambience. It's close to the amazing market and just a short stroll from the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Facilities are good and include a secure car park(€8 per night). Recommended.

Review 41:I found the staff awful - I was told the hotel was full so we could not have a twin room I saw ten same people each day and the hotel was empty so we had to share a bed

Review 42:The location was very good

Review 43:Unfortunately lift not working for two days of our stay and we were on third floor.

Review 44:Very clean and receptionists very helpful. Great to have english tv and curiosity. Location fantastic near beach.

Review 45:Few minor matters: Wi-fi was not effective in the bedroom. Had to ask for hairdryer. Had to ask for soap on one day.

Review 46:Helpful staff. Good parking facility. Only a few steps from the middle of town and the periodic market. Stone's throw from seafront. Tranquil atmosphere.

Review 47:No bad experience but I wish they provided tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Many people like an early cup of tea before going down to breakfast.

Review 48:Excellent staff and ideal position

Review 49:Centrally situated Hotel, close to the Restaurants, Bars, Shops, Beach etc. Comfortable Hotel, the rooms have been refurbished and are spacious and comfortable.Secure parking is a plus.

Review 50:Small criticism - no wifi in rooms only in public areas. No air conditioning. Thin walls able to hear everything from the room next door. Would not stop me staying here again. Externally showing signs of wear and tear but very close to the sea.

Review 51:Friendly lady on reception. The faded glamour of the hotel. Excellent location in the town. Able to walk to restaurants, shops and beach - all a stones throw. Had breakfast at nearby cafe.

Review 52:No hospitality tray :(

Review 53:The room was small but very nice. The bathroom was large and very modern. Both were spotlessly clean. We reserved a parking space at 8Euros but didn't need it as we were able to park outside. The staff were helpful and we'd certainly stay again.

Review 54:Only one member of staff in the evening, covering the front desk and bar. No tea or coffee making facilities (a must considering the number of British guests!)

Review 55:Great location, comfortable room

Review 56:other than not being able to make a cup of tea when I woke up, nothing to dislike

Review 57:Lovely Hotel away from the noisy centre but close enough to walk into and use the facilities

Review 58:Hotel looking a bit tired, bar also. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, below par continental, no hot food, only one meat selection and two processed cheese to choose from, not worth the 12 euros each. Rooms, although I requested a quiet room (which was confirmed) we were put on the 1st floor opposite the lift and stairs, we had foot traffic banging up and down the stairs and walking past our room past 2 am both nights, and then again the following morning from 6am. Heavy foot traffic and tv noise from the room directly above added to the bad night’s sleep for the pair of us. Rooms generally ok, beds firm, good shower TV and all the normal stuff (no hair dryer)

Review 59:Hotel near the beach and all the restaurants, bars and Saturday market, good parking (8 euros per day) Helpful staff.

Review 60:We had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The piano bar was beautifully kitsch - I really hope they keep it this way and don't update it to standard hotel blandness.

Review 61:Nothing really. can't vouch for wifi as didnt use it

Review 62:Location was great near all shops, restaurants and beach. room was comfortable and breakfast was typically french with lots of bread and croissant. car park also useful but book ahead

Review 63:Sometimes they have a thing about British guests! In an empty car park except one French registered car tucked in a corner next to reception ours was given slot 13!!! And furthest from the hotel entrance! And it was empty! Laughed about it but clearly there is a form of warped sense of humour on their part or just pure resentment of British!

Review 64:Very central to town hub of activities and beach. Recent refurbishment makes the place modern and clean!

Review 65:Excellent attitude of all the staff. There is a "can do" response to every question. Good size bathroom with modern plumbing ( don't expect that elsewhere in Le Touquet) and very good shower. Comfortable thick mattress with v good quality sheets. Very varied breakfast offering with Fresh butter croissants and baguette (no warmed-up frozen rubbish here) and no food kept warm under lights either. Freshly cooked bacon and eggs if you want them. We WILL go back and have finally found a decent hotel in Le Touquet.

Review 66:Pathetic WIFI, Something every hotel needs today, you have to go to ground floor communal rooms for WIFI. No aircon so would not go between May and Septeber.

Review 67:Cosy great ambiance

Review 68:The breakfasts were expensive.

Review 69:The hotel was warm in December and lounges and bedrooms were attractively furnished and cosy. The parking was very convenient.

Review 70:The bar area may have been slightly dated but I rather liked it !!!

Review 71:This was my first visit here and I shall definitely return. Room was very comfortable, staff very helpful and location very good.

Review 72:A minor point but outside decor and public areas a little tired.

Review 73:Modernised rooms. Very comfortable. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Handy for town centre. Would stay again.

Review 74:There was no mirror in the bedroom and nowhere to plug in a hairdryer except the bathroom. There was also no hairdryer provided.Room was designed by a man with no concept of what a woman needs.

Review 75:The room was nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable. Nice breakfast and bar area.

Review 76:The exterior is beginning to look in need of some decoration.

Review 77:As ever a good hotel in a good situation. it is always a pleasure to stay in Le Touquet and this hotel is worth staying at.

Review 78:the maid came and knocked on the door three times to see if she could make the room up. A bit excessive as we left well before the checkout time.

Review 79:It has a great location and a car park. You might need a sat nav to find it though. Rooms clean and quiet and I would go back to the Bristol next time,.

Review 80:Welcoming friendly staff Very clean comfortable rooms Great bar Great breakfast Fantastic location We would definitely return hotel and staff were lovely

Review 81:We paid an extra 20 euros to book a superior double room but, comparedwith our friend's standard double, it was positively inferior. Theroom was quite small with only a hand held shower in the bath and thewifi signal was not available. Although parking was mentioned in thebooking information, there was none available for our stay.

Review 82:The hotel was conveniently situated within easy walking distance of goodrestaurants. The bed linen was of good quality.

Review 83:Good area, prebook end parking at the hotel which worked well for us. A simple but perfectly adequate breakfast and we were luck enough to have a balcony which was a real sun trap

Review 84:All ok.

Review 85:Very good location. Very near beach and town centre. Room nice size. Very clean. Nice big bathroom and powerful shower. Comfy bed. Breafast was good with excellent choice. Secure off street parking a bonus at 8 euros per night. Recommended

Review 86:Paying for parking

Review 87:This is a great small well run hotel. It is quite an old hotel but kept very clean and appears to be constantly being upgraded in parts. Great position and good value.

Review 88:Position in town, every where close to walk to. Have been a few times before, so took wife this time. Can't complain staff are very nice and helpful. Know some on a name basis.

Review 89:No air-conditioning or tea/coffee facilities in room or hairdryer.

Review 90:Staff very helpful, Position great for town and beach, pre booked parking extra charge.

Review 91:I suppose having to go to reception to ask them to serve at the bar as they had two roles to play but to be fair they did come over quite quickly

Review 92:Good reception nice bar good clean rooms great position for beach shops market restaurants and bars not too close but never too far away either

Review 93:Parking has to be paid at parking meters which is annoying but can be paid by credit card. The hotel does have a car park with limited space which means you can come and go as you wish, although payment is required.

Review 94:Hotel very close to all amenities, including beach and town centre but still very quiet as hotel is not on one of the busy roads.

Review 95:No information on how to operate tv no hair drier in the room but available from reception. No air con so very hot as it was 33 degrees outside.

Review 96:In a great location close to main shops and restaurants. Room was clean and smart and a good size bathroom.

Review 97:Breakfast vastly overpriced.Very good restaurants around the corner were offering much better and more for breakfast for half the price of the Bristol. It was better when we last visited a few years back. Also paint peeling off the walls outside. The place doesn't seem to have a maintenance regime.

Review 98:Location and cleanliness. The bar service was good.No tea making facilities in the room. ; For the price charged I expect to be able to make myself a cup of tea,

Review 99:Room a little old with minor decorative defects. Exterior of hotel faded and peeling. Parking outside metered at weekends and mid-July to end August. Limited facilities, no restaurant (though plenty close by). Limited breakfast choice, eg one meat and two cheeses.

Review 100:Best location of any major hotel in Le Touquet, close to the beach. Pleasant public areas and bar. Large room (superior) and good bathroom. Clean. Efficient service. Good value for money.

Review 101:I reported a blocked shower trap, the maintenance man came out on the first night but did not clear the blockage the maid would do that in the morning. When I enquired the next morning I was told the shower was not blocked even though it had not been cleaned. The beds in the room were very hard.

Review 102:I have stayed at this hotel before and the location is central to both the beach and the town. The staff are very friendly. The car park is very handy at 8 Euros a day (you have to reserve a space) it is well worth it as parking is limited outside the hotel.

Review 103:I could not fault it therefore no negative points

Review 104:Very nice hotel with friendly, efficient staff and excellent location with the bonus of booking a parking space.

Review 105:No tea making facilities in the room No english language TV e.g. CNN Was told bedromm had wifi but this proved incorrect.

Review 106:Position was excellent and reserved secure parking a bonus

Review 107:Not great restaurant facilities, but with so many fantastic places very very close really doesn't atter

Review 108:Fantastic location and friendly, helpful staff

Review 109:Parking have lots of change to feed the parking meters.

Review 110:Hotel in the centre of the town. Staff very helpful. Rooms small but excellent value.

Review 111:no fridge in room

Review 112:very plaisant efficient staff

Review 113:The Hotel Bristol is very welcoming and friendly with a good standard of rooms. We all would highly recommend it to any visitor to Le Touquet.

Review 114:heating not working,a little bit shabby and not maintained

Review 115:location

Review 116:Excellent location Garage facility

Review 117:Room a little tired and small

Review 118:Staff were very good and helpful

Review 119:location, car park

Review 120:Friendly helpful staff, good location

Review 121:Great central location close to restaurants, bars, shops. Hotel has a traditional French atmosphere.

Review 122:Location

Review 123:No phone connection in room,no sign outside to tell you name and it looked a bit dated needs an update!

Review 124:Friendly staf

Review 125:Very convenient for shops, restaurants, beach and market square. Very helpful and friendly staff. Comfy room. Decent breakfast choices.

Review 126:Location & staff friendliness.

Review 127:Could have had tea and coffee facilities in room, and hairdryer.

Review 128:Staff very pleasant.

Review 129:Comfortable well modernised hotel close to old town centre with its restaurants, bars and nightlife. Also close to seafront.
