Reviews for Pierre & Vacances Premium Port Prestige
Review 1:Cleanliness should have been better - mould on net curtains. Sofas were questionable. Floors not clean. Two plug sockets in kitchenette area on wall next to sink dangerous to use.
Review 2:Friendliness of staff, especially the warm welcome from the night guard when we arrived late in evening. Location perfect. Only minutes walk away from marina and old town.
Review 3:Some attention is required with decor/paintwork but this did not spoil our break.
Review 4:An affordable winter break. Loved the roof top hot tub :) Concerning other reviews about poor staff attitude our experience was positive - the receptionist Amin was so helpful and courteous. Thank you.
Review 5:Service and facilitets were not good enough for a 4 star residence. The free WIFI was useless. You needed to buy toalet paper, shampoo, soap etc yourself even if you were staying there only few days. Much worse than a 3-star apartment in Nice which we stayed the week before!
Review 6:Location was good
Review 7:Only one roll of toilet paper!! And very rude staff who were not keen to help at all. The reception was unmanned most of the time which I found unbelievable!!! Also, quite expensive.
Review 8:Good location.
Review 9:None really - only one minor point - no english channels on the TV, not even news. Even if one could see the french channels with english sub-titles it would help.
Review 10:Location is excellent. Public transport excellent. Apartment provided everything except we could not get any english channels on the television - not even a news channel - a bit frustrating when one is relaxing between walks or during bouts of bad weather.
Review 11:The lack of drinking water in the apartment meant we had to buy our own, and it would have been nice to have the floor and plates/cutlery clean when we arrived so that we didn't have to clean them ourselves before being able to use any of them. The rest of the apartment linen and areas were clean and nicely laid out when we arrived.
Review 12:The location and staff were fantastic even though we arrived after hours (pre-arranged). Very near to both the station and harbour, which was beautiful at night. The pool complex was a lovely surprise, and the general feel of the place was very welcoming and relaxing. As 3 girls we felt very safe. The car park facility was good as well. The air conditioning was a definite plus!
Review 13:We found the apartment small for the family. bedrooms very small. Bed uncomfortable. No Ac in double bunk room. Bathroom floor always ended up wet after showers and no proper screen on the shower to prevent overflow. Toilet very small area and not too clean on arrival/smell, walls not cleaned. Kitchen come dining area. Curtains not clean at patio door. Patio door broken and unable to close for the week, was reported and supposed to be fixed but not. No oven to cook for the 4 young adults. Also dangerous to have electric sockets beside a sink in kitchen. Some of the sockets did not work. TV too small. Pools were good but the deck chairs some people putting towels on both sides of the pool due to the sun location of morning and evening. This should not be allowed. Also leaving towels all day on deck chairs and not returning until 4 o clock. This needs to be addressed. Expensive and not value for money. Regards Finian O Donoghue
Review 14:The weather was good and family enjoyed the pool but a bit cramped.
Review 15:The floors were dusty and TV was a size of a regular computer display. Also streetnoise when you have room with view to a harbour. Basically you can't open the window because it's too noisy. That is why we didn't use balcony very often. Controversial information about checkin/out times were introduced differently. this place needs renovation.
Review 16:Great location to walk to the old town and harbour. Near the party triangle street.
Review 17:We got a lot of mosquitos in our rooms. I mean a lot. Like 15 killedone night. The organisation of the hotel is bad. The charge of the credit card exceeded the price by 3 cent, they did not reply to my mails prior to arriving. Even after calling them I still have no invoice with the correct value.
Review 18:The pool and the hotel is okay.
Review 19:Needs an overall paint and tidy up of building, fiesta impressions not good. Specifically asked for a quiet room and put right next to road which was very busy!!?
Review 20:Good central location albeit a little noisy. Clean, comfortable apartment with good facilities, and the pool was a big plus.
Review 21:Very poor facilities. The room wasn't fit for guests to occupy the room - fridge wasn't working, the shower head was completely broken and the wifi kept dropping out and didn't connect. Although it was winter, the pool and spa facilities weren't available and we weren't given warning.
Review 22:The staff were nice and friendly
Review 23:Nothing to not like but would have liked a bit more storage near sofa beds. Would not have worked for 5 people.
Review 24:Location perfect for harbour. Attractive entrance. Convenient facilities. Kitchen pack extremely welcome; just right. Plenty of good quality towels. I would stay here again.
Review 25:We have a large car (tall) and it could not fit into the garage. But to be fair it would not have fit into most of the garages in Antibes so we had to park in the port which was expensive but safe. Could have parked on the streets but would have worried about it. Not the hotels fault but would have been good to have known this before getting there.
Review 26:The location was great, short walk to everything we wanted to be near, the old town, the marina, shops, markets and restaurants.
Review 27:Nothing to dislike - we had some traffic noise (motorbikes) at night butto be expected in a town. The amount you pay for late check-out on thefinal day seems to depend on who is on reception. We were quoted justover 30 euros and 18 euros. No receipts issued for any payments (butthen I didn't ask for any).
Review 28:Very spacious and comfortable accommodation for 2 in a perfect locationin Antibes, convenient for old town, port / marina, railway stationand bus stops.
Review 29:Need a better turn over for sheets and towels changing 1 every 2 weeks isn't frequent enough. Glass screen in shower useless
Review 30:Great sized living areas in the ground floor apartments and lots of kitchen utensils.
Review 31:Close to the old town and it's shops and restaurants. Short walk to train station - we took the train to visit Cannes, Eze, Monaco and even Ventimiglia. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.
Review 32:Very dirty floors when we arrived, dryed dirt on the floors and we had to wash the floors 4 times before is was clean enough. The personell except for Katya speaks very little English, sometimes I had to explain something using my hands... Working hours of reception are not convenient, for example we came to hotel at 20.05 and couldn't get parking place because the reception was closed.
Review 33:We liked nice green territory, nice swimming pools, very close to the old town and a railway staition, easy to travel around. The room is very good equiped with everything needed for living. Bed is often changed.
Review 34:The complex could do with an exterior facelift,as could some of the common parts,it really is time for a paint job.
Review 35:The staff, friendly and helpful, the pools and gardens are good, the rooms are a good size, they are fairly well equipped, could do with a few more items, cups for instance.the location is very good,a little street noise, but not too troubling. All in all a pleasant stay.
Review 36:- place was not clean on arrival. There was a strong odour which was due to the really dirty sleeper sofas in the living room. Staff dealt with it promptly by washing the upholstry but it was a real bummer. Also the public space and staircase were not clean upon arrival and were cleaned only on Monday. - more generally the place could use a good maker-over, new furniture and some fresh painting. - our appartment faced the harbour which is nice but the street is extremely busy with cars and noisy motorcycles - nonstop throughout the day and at night. - we stayed in a 7 person appartment with the 3 of us. It was just about right. Cannot imagine having to live in such a small place with more than four people.
Review 37:- kind staff - very close to old city of Antibes but on the less attractive side of the city. - nespresso machine (although you pay capsules expensively) - good (and quiet) airconditioning. - car park underneath building and really cheap. - the app had 2 showers which is great. Only one toilet though.
Review 38:Great location, right by the harbour in old town Antibes. Clean and new accommodations. Pool area on multible levels, never overcrowded, which were fantastic for the kids (3, 5 and 8). Underground private parking. Stayed late june '14.
Review 39:bathroom and shower were nice but the shower got the bathroom floor very wet to the point of being dangerous when exiting the tub.
Review 40:I traveled for business at the Marina and It was great having the ability to shop for groceries and cook at home or have breakfast on the terrace. Everything you could need is a short walk away including the marina but staying in was just as pleasurable. The pools and gardens are beautiful and the staff was very helpful.
Review 41:Location at night, felt v isolated
Review 42:Hot tub
Review 43:Lift was very smelly from hydraulic oil. Probably leaking
Review 44:Just the job
Review 45:Outdoor pool showers cold, no lights and in poor condition (Used after checkout)
Review 46:Good value this time of year
Review 47:Beds too hard pillows too hard
Review 48:Location. Pools jacuzzi space in room
Review 49:no view from our balcony
Review 50:the location
Review 51:noise from outside
Review 52:Excellent location, fantastic swimming pools and very clean
Review 53:Roadside apartment [even on 2nd floor] subject to excessive street noise & fumes at all ties
Review 54:central location in Antibes
Review 55:Super location in the center of Antibes. Nice pool. We had a late arrival, 2 o'clock at night. The night guard was very friendly.
Review 56:Step to the smaller pools were slippery
Review 57:The location of the apartment we were in the complex and the proximity to the resort were excellent
Review 58:Apartment was dirty with tired decor, ill-equipped i.e. no washing facilities on site, dark, cramped and depressing.
Review 59:Location, pool and secure parking
Review 60:Cleanliness could be improved; interior of apartment was a little tired.
Review 61:The multi-level pool absolutely the highlight; kids loved it.
Review 62:Nothing .
Review 63:The location, the excellent facilities and very spacious apartment.
Review 64:Location was excellent!! Loved the pool. Staff very friendly and accomodating.
Review 65:It's small, outdated and not clean as you might expect for this money.
Review 66:Location, swimming pool, terrace
Review 67:Cooking facilities poor. Charging for wifi and extra for parking is not cool these days.
Review 68:Pool, location
Review 69:None
Review 70:Friendliness, cleanliness
Review 71:would be cramped for full allocation
Review 72:the 4 studio is spacious for 2 - but not for 4 the pool/garden is good
Review 73:Great location - good size apartments - comfortable - good facilities
Review 74:location
Review 75:No toilet paper given! Such a small item and should be included more than other things that they did include.
Review 76:Nice location.
Review 77:location and parking
Review 78:Poor free wifi.
Review 79:Location, parking
Review 80:The heating could of been better during the weekend I was there.
Review 81:The room, balcony, bed.
Review 82:Location, view from the balcony
Review 83:smells in some toilets.
Review 84:staff are courteous.
Review 85:Great location, easy access. 6 person apartment was perfect for a family of 4
Review 86:Loved it all........as always!
Review 87:Kitchen workspace could be more
Review 88:Loved the apartment and fantastic pool second visit this year
Review 89:I had to go out and buy our own toilet paper
Review 90:nice facility in a great location
Review 91:Felt the apartment was bait cramped for three adults and was expensive in comparison to other prices.
Review 92:We loved the location of Pierre & Vacances.
Review 93:The building could benefit from a coat of paint and a good cleaning especially the stairways to the apartments. First impressions count.!!
Review 94:Location was excellent. Accomadation was absolutely fine for our group. Liked the security of the building.
Review 95:Unit for 6-7 there was 4 of us very small and only 1 toilet but 2 bathrooms was strange
Review 96:Location excellent, staff very helpful and friendly, pool area very nice and clean
Review 97:We stayed just one night and this accommodation was excellent. Secure and easy parking, comfy and clean rooms (ours accommodating all 5 in our group which was perfect), great location in walking distance to the town and beach. Our only downfall was the weather was not warm enough for us to enjoy the pool!! Maybe next year!
Review 98:Crew House (for yaughtie deck monkeys, apparently mostly british)opposite generated drunken shouting and noise late night and early hoursof the morning.
Review 99:Flat was spacious, comfortable, well laid out and equipped. Close tomarina and Antibes old town.
Review 100:good beaches not close.[however town beach is o.k.]
Review 101:good location , large suite with balcony, good security and parking clean and with nice pool. Ideal for family hols in convenient location.
Review 102:wifi access proved a problem. You can't look up your email to get password without internet access. Basic wifi access is useless compared with free access in most other holiday locations
Review 103:location excellent, close to train, bus, harbour and old town. Staff very helpful apartment good with good storage and facilities. Hot tub made bad weather tolerable
Review 104:They advertise as free wifi connection, what is partially true. You do have a free wifi but the speed is really really bad. It remind me about the days of dial up connection. Also there was some faster speed but for this you need to pay. Another thing that was pretty annoying was the fact that the connection timed out very often and you were forced to reconnect and reconnect. What is time consuming and not a thing you want to do every few hours. For me this days, a fast and free wifi is the most important thing. More than a TV.
Review 105:Location was good for me, the staff was very good and helpful.
Review 106:After having specifically requested a double bed to be made up in our room, we arrived to find that there was a bunk bed instead. No one called to say the room booked had no double bed and thusly allow us to change our room booking accordingly. The room also faced onto a main road and the traffic noise was terrible. They weren't prepared to compensate us in any way for this blunder either.
Review 107:We liked the ambience of the place and the rooms feel in terms of decor.
Review 108:In no specific order: Safe was broken Too many mosquitoes Front desk had no change for the washing machines Could not supply a bill for room Balcony and floor of unit dirty Free wi-fi was slow and did not work much of the time
Review 109:The location is good overlooking the marina, close to many restaurants, and only a few blocks to the center of Antibes. Both bus and train station can be reached by walking a short distance.
Review 110:Army of mosqitoes in the apartment..had to fight them every evening, and they did their revenge at night....the hotel is some worn out, but the location and the big nice apartment and pool made up for this
Review 111:Location, walking distance to the beach(10 min), in the old town. nice view of the harbour.
Review 112:The apartment was listed as suitable for 6/7 people. We found theapartment very small and compact. There was no ventilation in the toiletarea and no oven in the Kitchen. (Microwave and hob only).
Review 113:Location excellent, staff on reception very helpful and overallapartment was very clean and linen/towels provided were of a verygood quality.
Review 114:There was not wi- fi in my room
Review 115:Staff was excellent, very polite and helpfull. Amin, Katia, thank you very much!!!! I really enjoyed my holiday and hope to turn soon.
Review 116:The apartment was not warm when we arrived. and took at least twenty four hours to improve, but even then was not adequate for the weather conditions, that weekend.
Review 117:Good and secure parking in what is a very busy town. The facilities within the complex were ideal for warm weather holidays and it was conveniently placed for both the Port and the Old Town.
Review 118:the building and garage need maintenance, the elevator on our appartment was not working, the room was not super clean, with dead mosquitos on the walls (someone had fights with them before our arrival) Value for money proposition.
Review 119:nice location, with pools for relaxation, even if the water in October is cold. Walking distance to the the port, the old city and the castle. Appartment had all facilities you need for cooking, so little to do with the staff, other than check in and out.
Review 120:Bedrooms (especially the 2nd bedroom in the two-bedroom apartment) arequite small so you need to open the windows at night in order not tosuffocate. This lets in an army of mosquitoes. Frankly, with this levelof mosquito infestation having netting on the bedroom windows is a must.A few minor details here and there as well. There was a very nice coffee machine in the kitchen, but no note on it that reception sells the correct cartridges for it (I noticed that pretty much on the way out). Idiotic (outright dangerous and illegal by the building standards of most other EU countries) positioning of sockets in the kitchenette (right above the sink so all water from there splashes onto them) and no extension cord to put any of the electricals in a safe location. All in all - nothing really major, just a few minor niggles which can be fixed with ease.
Review 121:Very good room facilities, nice courtyard with a swimming pool, verynice location. The best equipment level in a self-catering apartment Ihave seen along my travels so far.
Review 122:The property has an issue with mosquitos. We both suffered with numerous bites. There was no information regarding the problems they had been experiencing. We bought relevant prevention tools but they didn't work. On leaving we mentioned our concerns to the reception who advised us that they had a problem and had tried to address it with spraying, however we feel that there should have been notification in the room and guidelines to how to manage the problem on our arrival. The machine we bought and spray could have been provided by the company in the circumstances.
Review 123:The balcony and it's position for access to the old town.
Review 124:Would have preferred an oven to a dishwasher. Would have preferred plates, pans, glasses etc to be at counter level and not above our heads!
Review 125:It was easy to forget you were in the middle of the town, once you were in the hotel grounds with its lovely plants and water feature with fish and the pools with waterfalls. Ideally positioned within walking distance of port and beach and lovely old town with market every evening. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Excellent apartment.
Review 126:The apartment was very clean and well laid out. Beds were comfy and goodkitchen pans were provided. Nice to have a kitchen cleaning setprovided. Other places we've been don't even leave dish soap. Would havebeen nice to know the pool would be too cold for swimming. Parking wasconvenient and at a good cost. Many restaurants close by. Close to thePicasso Museum and boat harbor. We didn't need to drive anywhere. Wewould stay here again.
Review 127:The only real inconvenience that we experienced was that receptionwasn't 24 hour. I arrived mid-afternoon and had trouble finding someoneto check me in.
Review 128:Loved the location - within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and the train station. Although we didn't do any cooking, if you werethere for an extended length of time we could have - the kitchen wasadequately equipped for it to be sure. Loved the towel warmer in thebathroom (it also worked great for quick drying hand washables). I woulddefinitely stay there again.
Review 129:Maybe the front rooms need a higher spec sound proof glazing with regardto the traffic early in the morning but really that is nit picking.
Review 130:We stayed in the off season 2012 on business and we needed a locationnear the marina, the hotel is perfectly situated, the rooms warm andwell maintained, the staff helpful and friendly. I would also use PortPrestige for a family holiday I am sure we will return.
Review 131:The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated
Review 132:Great location a short walk from the Old Town which boasts numerous restaurants and pubs. Less than 5 minutes drive from Marine Land.
