Reviews for Hôtel Equinoxe
Review 1:Our room was lovely, however friends of ours stayed on the ground floor and their bathroom was so narrow it was difficult to move between shower and toilet The town enforces pay parking even in low season. Check carefully for any parking restrictions. If you only need short term parking there are quite a few spaces on the main street that offer one hours parking for free
Review 2:We were warmly welcomed and given keys to our rooms and to the front door. The hotel was easy to locate and we found parking easily (but it was December). The hotel is a very short walk to the beach and to the main town We didn't have breakfast the next day but wandered into the main town, near the market, and had breakfast there instead
Review 3:room was a bit small, there's nothing not to like really this is a great budget hotel in the centre of town.
Review 4:warm clean room great staff. great location in centre of town.
Review 5:Location, Room 2 good size but Room 10 very compact. Scores above would have been slightly higher based on Room 2 but I booked 2 rooms and Room 10 not so good.
Review 6:Unfortunately we had passports stolen, so the trip was not as relaxing as we had hoped for, however this was nothing to do with the hotel.
Review 7:The location was great and the room comfortable, if a little tired looking. The owner/manager was very pleasant and helpful. Tea/Coffee making facilities would have been nice and I wish we had taken advantage of booking breakfast.
Review 8:Only down side was noisy BRITS coming back late at night waking the whole hotel so their we go again enhancing our reputation abroad once again. But it did not spoil our stay in Le Touquet.
Review 9:We asked for a ground floor room to help my wife and we were given a very nice room with walk in shower on the ground floor, the staff were very help full, breakfast was more than adequate. We would stay there again in the future
Review 10:Only street parking. Usually plenty to choose from, but can be difficult in busy times
Review 11:Very central, easy to walk anywhere. Yards from the beach, first class breakfast
Review 12:The shower pole was broken and Bed was uncomfortable. No attempt at giving wifi information eg password
Review 13:Lovely decoration, very friendly staff, excellent location very welcoming throughout the hotel.
Review 14:Stained Carpets No space in the toilet, not even to sit on the WC(I am 70Kg, 5'9") No light in the hallway, to even find the door No charging outlets, have to unplug the TV Bed is super hard, believe me I have slept on the bare floor before Toilet flush is super noisy, like you feel the earth is going away You can hear everything in the next room, even the snoring and more
Review 15:Service of staff Friendliness Location
Review 16:Paper thin walls - one could hear the next door neighbour using his electric razor...
Review 17:Clean, basic, good breakfast, reasonable for the money. Good location in Le Touquet.
Review 18:The room was a bit too small. The one arm chair, positioned in the corner, beneath the wall mounted TV, made that rather obsolete if you wanted to watch the box.
Review 19:Although the balcony was small, it was a good extra feature that not all hotels of this standard have. So we were able to enjoy in drink in the open, with just about a view of the sea, which is very nearby. A short walk to all the good central restaurants and cafes. Midweek in the off-season parking was free all day.
Review 20:Bedroom and bathroom small.stairs difficult. Breakfast area very small but cosy and welcoming.
Review 21:Breakfast menu , friendly staff, clean, parking on street good, nearness to beach and restaurants.
Review 22:The bathroom had a few minor problems - a loose electric socket and the shower head clamp was broken. The stairs to our room were quite steep, so this is not for everyone.
Review 23:Perfect location for the sea and for restaurants. Reasonably priced - le Touquet is generally more expensive. Quiet and small.
Review 24:However beware of the extra 'le touquet' tax you pay at the end which isn't made clear at the time of booking! This does bump the price up somewhat.
Review 25:Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfasts.
Review 26:The room we had was very, very small. Only 2 feet left on each side of the bed (bed was of a very good size but occupied 90% of the room).
Review 27:Near all activities, beach, wonderful market (not to be missed - 3 times a week), quality shopping and cheap parking ($4 euros per 24 hours). Clean hotel with accommodating staff. Generous breakfast (more a brunch than a breakfast).
Review 28:It was clean.
Review 29:The room was tiny and cramp. The bathroom was so small and you couldn't sit on the loo. The loo made the loudest noise when flushing.
Review 30:Location
Review 31:A little rough round the edges, could do with a lick of paint
Review 32:good clean hotel close to center
Review 33:the bet are a bit to "soft"
Review 34:great breakfast, nice team, quite central in town
Review 35:Felt like an old style seaside B and B - not good
Review 36:Ther was building going on opposite. Some mould in the shower
Review 37:It was quirky. Good location. Comfortable bed.
Review 38:Small balcony to room
Review 39:It is only 2 stars, so dont be fooled by the photos!
Review 40:Location is ideal, short walk to beach and restaurants!
Review 41:Signing in for wifi
Review 42:The welcome
Review 43:Hotel in a central location, room spacious and clean but a bit tired looking. Great value for money and I would stay there again.
Review 44:Bed was 2 singles pushed together. wifi needed code.
Review 45:Friendly staff. Clean room. Very close to beach and short walk to centre of town.
Review 46:thing comes to mind
Review 47:somewhere to hang the shower and a shower curtain or shower glass door
Review 48:Very close to beach and town centre, helpful staff, nicely decorated theme rooms with stylish interiors. Comfortable and good value.Would recommend.
Review 49:Parking was a problem
Review 50:Room was lovely and warm and extra bedding was available
Review 51:the real french life
Review 52:lack of wardrobe
Review 53:Convenient for town, good breakfast.
Review 54:Room Temperature
Review 55:No wi-fi in room we were in, not impressed with the breakfast
Review 56:Very clean, excellent location, good value
Review 57:couldnt get wifi
Review 58:best breakfast i have had in france
Review 59:The room was very clean and the owner and staff extremely helpful and friendly perfectly situated in a quiet street just off the town centre.
Review 60:room was tiny and nothing like the quality shown on the website
Review 61:very clean
Review 62:No tea or coffee in the room
Review 63:Location and very clean rooms
Review 64:Room (although a triple room) was quite small and cushions on the beds didn't seem very clean. Also worth pointing out that there is no lift in the hotel - we didn't have a problem with that but people with mobility difficulties would find it problematic.
Review 65:Comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, decor of the room, location of the hotel close to the centre of the town and the beach. Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking available around the hotel.
Review 66:No windows to open, it was either door open or no fresh air.
Review 67:Sweet, close to the sea and cosy. The staff were all very nice I couldnt work the WiFi. It wanted me to register with my address and cc details so I didnt take it further., Would stay there again though
Review 68:Nothing.
Review 69:The hotel was just what we needed for an overnight stay when visiting war graves in the area. The breakfast was very good and the management very welcoming. The town is also twinned with our home town of Witney and we would happily stay here again.
Review 70:The room was very small.
Review 71:The Lady on reception was lovely and very accommodating. We arrived very early and she let us have breakfast (which was very good) and leave our bags in the room. The location was great for both the beach and the town.
Review 72:The beds are clearly quite old, frayed and stained divan bases and the mattresses are not very comfortable. The carpet also looks very old and dingy.
Review 73:Good location, breakfast has a great selection of food but served in quite a crowded room. Our room, 14, has a good bathroom - about the same size as the bedroom.
Review 74:Room was very cramped, little room to move around the bed. Main light didn't work (Bulb was OK). Shower door was broken, couldn't be fully closed. Breakfast area was cramped; boil your own eggs, but the water bath was cold.
Review 75:Only £52 per night B&B
Review 76:I don't know if all the beds were the same but ours were sloping, not sure if it was the mattresses or room to be honest.
Review 77:The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent, really close to the town and parking was really not a problem so don't let that put you off, half the town is free parking and that starts a street away from the hotel.
Review 78:The room was a little cramped, although it did have a small balcony. The reception was unmanned and you had to ring for service.
Review 79:Friendly reception, comfortable room and good value for money.
Review 80:No kettle /tea /coffee facilities in room. Breakfast expensive (buffet)(€9.90) no cheaper option for people wanting just "a coffee and croissant" No parking spaces : parking on street cost € 29 a week with local council , Le Touquet parking is chargeable on 99% of its city centre .
Review 81:Really friendly and helpful owners , lovely room deco and nice big bathroom. 5 min from main town centre , beach and 3 times a week big market.
Review 82:Worried about parking but turned out to be very easy and not stressful!
Review 83:Extremely quiet location but still very central to main shops, restaurants and bars plus seafront. Parking on seafront free until 1 pmand then only 1 euro per hour til 6pm - check which parking zone you arein as some areas 2 euro per hour!
Review 84:Very poor service from receptionist.Had to wait a long time both to check in and check out for him to appear at reception and he wasn't at all welcoming & his appearance shabby. Expensive for size of room / facilities. Hallway & stairs appeared dirty
Review 85:Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable
Review 86:No lift, no tea/coffee facilities in room, broken shower fitting (useable, though.)
Review 87:Friendly staff, clean and well presented room, beds good, bathroom spotless, plenty of hot water. Breakfast selection good.
Review 88:Uncomfortable beds with the floor sloping, had to ask for more towels twice, my daughter and i both have long hair and the shower was impossible with only two towels per room. Could hear the people upstairs going to the toilet!
Review 89:Nice bathroom
Review 90:This hotel offers a great location right by the beach and all the main shops at budget prices. Although its a 2* the hotel is comfortable with decent rooms. Breakfast is fantastic and the hosts are very warm and friendly. I highly recommend to stay here.
Review 91:The bed! The two single beds pushed together kept coming apart.
Review 92:Loved that we had a room apart - felt like our own apartment. Fantastic breakfast. Shower was excellent.
Review 93:This was a very brief trip stopping en route South. I am a huge fan of Le Touquet and have visited many times over the last 20 years. Excellent value and the best breakfast in Le Touquet.
Review 94:Wish we had a kettle in the room, and that room is was as big as our friends, however it was a great stay.
Review 95:The rooms, the staff in fact everything. Best place we stayed all week. Fab breakfast with good choice and very comfortable bed.
Review 96:Receptionist refuses to or cannot speak English. Coming from Germany, I do not expect anyone to speak German, but English should not be a problem, if you run a hotel professionally. On the homepage of the hotel it says that breakfast is served from 7-9.30. At 8.30 the guy stands in the breakfast room in his pyjamas, refuses to make breakfast and goes back to bed, but wants to put the breakfast on our bill. So we decided to leave a night earlier than planned, during the reservation process the system said cancellation were free of charge two days ahead, the hotel refuses to do so again, and says that meant two days between cancellation and cancelled night, so actually three days ahead. So we called the customer service of booking.com, very nice guy, who was able to solve the breakfast problem, but we still could not leave one night early. On checkout, 3 out of 5 colleages pay cash, and for each of them the receptionist has to run over to another hotel next door (same owner) to get some change, handwritten, hard to read bills, in conclusion totally unprofessional hotel, NEVER AGAIN!
Review 97:Good breakfast (if beeing served), nice bathroom (triple room)
Review 98:The room was a bit on the small side so you couldn't spend any time in the room if you wanted to sit and relax unless you sit on the bed.
Review 99:The room and bathroom were very clean and the sheets were fresh, starched and white. Decor was nicely coordinated and it was quiet.
Review 100:Small friendly hotel, very conveniently located for the beach and therestaurants and shops. Room was clean and tidy and decorated with amodern but very French antique look, though on the small side it wasadequate for what we required.Breakfast is not included in the price and is a help yourself option, there was a good variety of food available
Review 101:It was an excellent choice very welcoming, friendly best continentalbreakfast we have had lots of choice and very good quality. Rooms wereall decorated thoughtfully clean and comfortable the only gripe we hadwe wish the French would put somewhere in the shower/bath a place tohang the shower so we don't have to hold on to it all the time whenshowering (I always seem to flood the floor but maybe that is just me)Would stay again and advice friends to do so also. Great stay.
Review 102:The only and unfortunate critism of my stay at Hotel Equinoxe was thatthe beds in the twin room that I stayed in were 2ft 6" in width. I amhowever a large chap at 6ft tall and 19 stone, therefore it was not themost comfortable for me. However for less large framed people sharing atwin room, this my not be a problem. It will be a double room for menext year at Hotel equinoxe!!
Review 103:A welcoming and friendly establishment in a great location within LeTouquet (close to beach and town centre). Breakfast is fantasic -resonably priced and a wide selection of continental cuisine. Bikerfriendly!!
Review 104:Have to agree with another visitor review to this 'hotel' and query it's status as such, unless France has different definition from us. It is extremely basic. There are no tea/coffee making facilities. Our room was classed as 'family' however the single wardrobe was totally inadequate and we literally lived out of suitcases for duration. The room was extremely small and certainly not suitable for couple with a child. The only place to sit was on the bed! Guest house status at best.
Review 105:Basically just the location.
Review 106:Tiny room (19)! Limited breakfast for price.
Review 107:Good location. Pleasant ladies. Clean.
Review 108:Having to leave
Review 109:People room and location will be returning soon
Review 110:Friendly, pleasant staff. Few minutes walk from seafront and from town centre.
Review 111:comfy bedroom,nice breakfast
Review 112:Noise from other guests. Bathroom fittings old and worn.
Review 113:location. Ladies who cleaned the rooms very good.
Review 114:noise from next door bathroom and bedroom thin walls
Review 115:friendly welcome
Review 116:Great location, very friendly welcome and excellent breakfast. Room was lovely (although modest in size). Would definitely return.
Review 117:Wifi didn't work.
Review 118:Lovely staff and decor.
