Reviews for Flushing Hotel

Review 1:dropped my wallet under bed and it had lots of trash under there

Review 2:nice staff awesome price key location around subways and trains to get from point a to b in the city

Review 3:There was no iron and board to press my clothes. Also, there wasn't any washcloths. I had to use a mini-towel that was available.

Review 4:The hotel and room was modern and clean. I also like the lobby breakfast.

Review 5:The bed felt like a box spring, and they had no available rooms. Getting an actual mattress feel bed in this place is like playing Russian Roulette. I was continuously bitten throughout the night by a bug or insect. The floors were not vacuumed. The bathtub jacuzzi had mold and were not clean which meant I could only shower. I paid $140 for the room and it was worth on $60. The breakfast bar is a table with white sliced bread , a microwave and packets of tea. They had a hot bowl with scrambled eggs, but with the display and feel of the hallway environment I would not dare eat from there. I went out and paid for breakfast at a restaurant.

Review 6:The check out time. I have stayed here a few times but the most recent stay makes it to be my last.

Review 7:The bed was horrible. My girlfriend and I woke up in pain. The bathroom and the towels were dirty.

Review 8:It was very close by and last minute for a good price.

Review 9:Horrid horrid customer care..very rude n unresponsive...the restaurantwas stinking..no parking area of course..n too expensive..better stay abit further at a cheaper rate

Review 10:The room was ok..near the subway..a local super market right in frontmaking it easy to get things at a good price

Review 11:Well, it is quite far from Manhattan, but it's not exactly that bad because the subway is only a couple of blocks away. The 7 line drops you right at NY's Midtown, with easy connections to just about anywhere, including and above all JFK, La Guardia and Newark. The neighborhood is ok, I guess. Not my favorite one ever, but bearable for a few days.

Review 12:Hotel is cheap; beds are comfortable; subway is nearby; breakfast is simple, but good.

Review 13:The air conditioner was weak. Had it on full blast and I was sweating still. Thank God that night it grew cooler outside and I think the fan was blowing the night air into the room. Wish the TV had more channels.

Review 14:Bed was comfy. Shower was great. Quarters. Decent location in Flushing

Review 15:Very bare boned room. Minimal channels on tv, minimal decor, doors were INSANELY loud (especially the one headed back to the parking lot)

Review 16:staff was very nice and helpful. Had a parking lot in the back so you dont have to park on the street

Review 17:Came in at 1 am. They kept the room for us. Room is old but comfortable. Went out to get food, neighborhood seemed very safe. Breakfast was half chinese, half american. For our purposes this was the perfect hotel. If you have been to a budget hotel in Hong Kong or Singapore, you would think you are back there

Review 18:The location of the hotel is the worst we have experienced in North America. It didn't even seem like North America; rather somewhere in Hell itself. Parking is a total joke, and an invitation to body damage.

Review 19:The room was fine and was clean. Staff barely spoke English and not friendly.

Review 20:Behaviour of the staff. Lethargic attitude and answer in handling courier sent with clear approval, notification and told destroyed the same.

Review 21:Breakfast in time and good in delicious.

Review 22:the free parking space was very limited; we waited one day before there is available parking space but we wished it was never available as my husband scratched his car badly with a metal bar on the edge which he could not see when he was pulling into the small space. There was 15$/day parking nearby which is quite reasonable.

Review 23:the front desk was not very friendly

Review 24:The staff is not co-operative. They cannot speak english. Also, the hotel is in the heart of China town. The area is not that good. Overall I would rate this hotel as Poor.

Review 25:The hotel has weird and smoking smells. Rooms are too old Bed bugs Front desk person who was in night shift does not understand English . It was terrible explaining him we had to book an early morning cab. Tea/coffee maker is not plugged in and it was challenging to find one Carpet had cigarette burns and our's was a Non Smoking room. Over all not a good experience.

Review 26:Location is the only plus point.

Review 27:The hotel was very small, the rooms were somewhat out of date and the bathroom was not very clean. Overall I just felt somewhat dissatisfied with my stay there. I only stayed one day, and I wouldn't recommend staying any longer than that. The staff were friendly, but seemed to be more interested in talking to friends/people in the lobby than helping us.

Review 28:Location is close to the 7 train and Flushing Meadows.

Review 29:Plug sockets are dodgy, breakfast very basic compared to other places we have stayed. Shower didn't work.

Review 30:Great room and bathroom, which was clean and well furnished. Some great restaurants near by.

Review 31:The bed was very hard and there was a bad odor in the room (a combination of humidity and paint). Breakfast wasn't the best either although they have white steamed buns which are really good.

Review 32:This hotel is located in a real Chinatown (different from Manhattan's Chinatown) where you can experience more closely the chinese culture. It is about 50 min from Manhattan which is not too bad.

Review 33:The room was too small and untidy. The entire environment both within and outside the hotel was too noisy. It looked too unkept

Review 34:The hotel is located right in the middle of the ever busy and noisy Main Street, making it difficult to have a peaceful stay. Despite the no smoking signs on the wall of the hotel, the smell of cigarette filled the air immediately you step into the property. We paid for two nights, but ended spending just one night and forfeited the Payne for the other night as we had to go look for a more comfortable accommodation. I won't recommend this hotel for anyone!!!

Review 35:The room dirty & stinks, parking was very inconvenient and veryinsecure. They rudely decline assistance acknowledging or pursue myvehicle damage due to parking in tightly packed parking lot. Downrightdeplorable. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review 36:I asked to be placed in a non-smoking room and was put in a smoking room. I asked to be moved and I was only to be placed on the same floor just across the hall. I did not have washcloths to bathe with only towels and hand towels. The room was not very clean and the bed was hard and felt like a box spring mattress. It was just not worth $132 I spent to stay there.

Review 37:It was close to the airport and had restaurants in the area.

Review 38:The bed was literally cardboard. They must've stuffed the bed with some sort of filling.. Very stiff and uncomfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on the floor.

Review 39:The room was ok. No bells and whistles. Clean for the most part.

Review 40:Ive actually stayed at affordable hotels and motels but this is the first im leaving a review and too bad its not for a good reason... When we were about to check in the lady in the front (who looked angry) no hi hello or anything told us to wait i guess she went to the bathroom. Waited maybe 7-10 mins. when she came back she asked WHAT I WANT!!! HELLO? Why do you think im here for? She was a bit rude, no professionalism or no thank you.. even when we checked out. AGAIN nobody to assist you. We had to wait maybe 10 mins. One guy came picked up the phone that rang maybe 5 times, looked at me and walked away.. TOTALLY IGNORED ME!!! Same lady from check in day came I gave her the key card and said NOTHING ELSE!!! Guess she doesnt know how to smile or just angry at the world. bathroom had hair on the toilet seat and the cups that were on the tray.. 2 cups were actually dirty im not sure if they were recycled. Towels didnt look clean so we air dried ourselves. there was a hair piece on my bed and some green stains. But other than that stay was ok and only one other older asian lady was nice.

Review 41:Convenience to subway.

Review 42:The staff was rude their complementary parking they told me they had was full. That's because it's only a 6 car parking lot. The room smelled. The bathroom fan didn't work. The cable TV kept shutting off. There was nothing but annoying teens hanging around the lobby making noise past 3am. It's a terrible place to stay

Review 43:The only good thing was the price

Review 44:People wandering in that weren't staying there to sit in kitchen area, A couple of boys that weren't guests were harassing a female guest.

Review 45:Great location, close to La Guardia Airport

Review 46:This place was awful! First u check into a lobby that resembles an aprtment complex. The employee was unpleasant and not helpful. They call a back alley a parking lot where u can only fit two cars. And the place was so dirty! Hair everywhere stains on the walls.

Review 47:nothing. It was a horrible experience. The place was so digusting and dirty i would have prefered to sleep in my car. Booking.com should be ashamed to even offer a place like this.

Review 48:This place was disgusting. The room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy and had black mold on the ceiling and walls, it was not at all like the picture looked like or description online said it would be. The TV barely worked and the toilet sometimes wouldn't flush. The staff was rude and wouldn't acknowledge you when you would ask them questions. The breakfast consisted of bananas, stale bread, and room temperature milk.

Review 49:Nothing.

Review 50:The clerk on our arrival was rude and not helpful at all. Did not attempt to secure parking for our car. The breakfast was miserable. The toaster did not work. It was pitiful what they provided.

Review 51:Only the location was good.

Review 52:The parking lot is very small & there was free no parking available. Asked for non-smoking but it was clear by the smell & cigarette burns people regularly smoked in the room. The bed was not very comfortable and the "cable" TV was fuzzy. Not many channels available. Found out after check in the location has a reputation for prostitution.

Review 53:The price was ok and there is a lot within walking distance.

Review 54:Where should I start? It is located in China town which is not the cleanest place in the world. The staff barely speaks English and telephone only has Chinese characters so in an emergency what number do you dial? The carpet in the room was old and dirty and there was mold around the tub. It is not a place I would stay again or would recommend!

Review 55:This hotel is close to LaGuardia and that's it.

Review 56:parking is very small and the road is narrow. with a full size is quite impossible to arrive. drivers are required to leave the keys @ the receptionist

Review 57:very close the the metro station then 20 minutes to manhattan\

Review 58:there is no hot water supply ! I can not take a shower. There is only very little warm water in the shower room.I can only wash my hands. I complain to the reception guy . The answer is " so many people are using. .waiting for some time" I waiting for more than a hour. same thing! How can!

Review 59:Bed was very hard. Advertised the room was equipped with coffee and coffee pot, not. When I asked the front desk they said there is no coffee available. The breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Review 60:Rude service!! All the Chinese people i have met so far doesn't give a crap about service.Front desk didn't speak english and and she gave me a room that reeked with cigaret and the room was so felty when she even saw that i was with my three year old. Head board was so dirty it was black the white lamp head was yellow!! There were holes all over the walls and bathroom was all rusted. I could not believe they were charging me $161. I demanded change of a room and than she gave me a bit cleaner one but still was it was so nasty that i just had to leave without my refund. Don't be fooled by private parking lot part!! It was so small i didn't even know it was a space for parking.

Review 61:Nothing

Review 62:My room does not have a small fridge. The bathroom is not clean. Room is too small for double beds. It is not worth $126/night on average.

Review 63:The location is good.

Review 64:The room was so small for a queen size room, and the car parking lot was relly small but i guess it ok cos parking in new york city is difficult.

Review 65:The breakfast was good.

Review 66:the room wasn't really clean I don't get my room at the rate It was booked for I will never stay thier again o tell any of my family o friends

Review 67:Notching at all

Review 68:The window was not sealed properly, due to high wind, the window kept on making loud noise and rocked back and forth. Kept me up all night. The front desk lady did not know how to smile. I had to drop my car key at the front desk so they can move my car around. Who serves Ramen noodle soup for breakfast? There was pancakes, no syrup. No cream for coffee. Queen size room was not Queen size. It is a full size room.

Review 69:Liked the fact that they did provide us with extra comforter upon request.

Review 70:Only disappointment was I was supposed to get a wakeup call at 7:15AM and it was at 7:45AM, a half hour later! Need to pay more careful attention. I was up already, so was able to leave and check out when I did to head home.

Review 71:Convenience to the Number 7 train.

Review 72:Didn't have much of a breakfast selection. The bed was very firm and it was hard to sleep comfortably. Most of the staff didn't speak English.

Review 73:They provided parking.

Review 74:There was weed smell on the elevator, asked for a none smoking room and didn't get one.the room smell vomit, window didn't close properly and room smelled of smoke the bed was hard.

Review 75:Nothing......

Review 76:Questionable cooking/kitchen habits. Id be weary of eating anything that the staff cooked. Questionable guests. Young girls with different men every few hours. Staff may want to watch out for that type of activity.

Review 77:The price and free WiFi. Quiet.

Review 78:All staff was poker face and very unfriendly. Service was terrible. And the room was dirty, I even found some used bottle left in bathroom. When my mother was showing, there was no hot water suddenly. The hair dryer was broken too. Never ever come back again!

Review 79:Free wifi

Review 80:The last at the counter did NOT pay any kind of attention to me or my girlfriend. We walked in, hoping to be greeted immediately... Not once did this happen. The lady laughed with a Chinese Customer, as they spoke their language. After the stopped speaking, she looked at me and said, "yes?." I began to tell her I booked online and before you know it, the phone rang and she answered without excusing herself.... You get the point ...Poor customer service

Review 81:Free and fast wifi

Review 82:They initially gave us a room that the heat wasn't working in 20 degree Temps and tried to tell us to give it more than the 1/2 hour we waited in the room . It was blowing cold air on heat. They were horrible when it came to customer service and they weren't clean. There was hair all through the shower, ice buckets were dollar store pitchers not cleaned out at all. It was along the lines of a hostel no fitted sheet just a flat sheet that didn't smell clean at all. The wifi didn't work and they had hand towels no wash clothes to wash with at all.

Review 83:The location

Review 84:Used elevator as closet. Have picture of it.. gave us a room that wasnt clean with condoms on floor I have a picture of it. Fake flowers were wilted. I have a picture of it. Price was rediculous for a shelter type stay. Had to ask to send house keeeping to clean up space. Parking was in an alley. Inconvenient.

Review 85:The bed

Review 86:Had a business function in Manhattan, I work in College Point, just needed to shower and change. The shower was terrible, hardly any pressure for the water. Would not stay the night for fear of bed bugs

Review 87:nothing

Review 88:I didn't like that the TV only have like 15 channels to watch. The bathroom needed little more cleaning

Review 89:Its located near stores and restaurant .The bed was neat.

Review 90:1. The room is too crowded. Since I booked the double room with double bed by mistake as a young couple without children, there is no room to place luggage on the floor and the beds take too much space. 2. It seems this is a family hotel without professional receptionist and professional outfit just some casual personal outfits.

Review 91:1.The room space is big enough. 2. The breakfast served is a little late from 7 o'clock. I think 6:30 is much better to catch some travel buses. 3. Room service is really quick, efficient and nice.

Review 92:90 % of the guest were koreans so most of employees did not speak English and specially the clerk girl in the afternoon was so rude with no courtesy for spanish people.

Review 93:Although I did still get some sleep, the bed was really firm and uncomfortable.

Review 94:I really enjoyed my stay. The room was nice, clean and cozy, the staff was friendly. It is a little distant from LaGuardia airport, but close near by transportation takes you right to the airport doors.

Review 95:The elevator and hallways reeked of marijuana. The jacuzzi tub had burn stains in the surface and black rings around the jets. Disgusting.

Review 96:The lobby was decent. It's quiet.

Review 97:Something must have been wrong with heating system, within a half hour, we had scratchy throats and were coughing and the heat was very dry and had small headaches,it must have been the particular room last time we stayed we had no such problem

Review 98:Staff was nice, parking in rear, price was also very good

Review 99:Rooms weren't vacuumed, comforters and pillows were stained, beds were harder than a rock.

Review 100:Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area

Review 101:Very little parking in back, dangerously tight squeeze and a metal barrier that is nigh unavoidable without some elaborate maneuvers. Breakfast was continental with cold waffles requiring rewarming, cup of noodles, and cream of wheat with pickles. Someone came by and took all of the buns and when I asked her about it, she just said "no English" Staff were really unfriendly overall.

Review 102:Good location with decent Chinese food nearby. A lot it's pretty meh, but the food court down the street at the mall is actually really good so I'd recommend that. Rooms were clean enough, bathroom well maintained and has a warming lamp. Tv is cable, and wifi is fast.

Review 103:Some shady characters came upto my room in 7th floor.an hr latr someone banged on my room. Gals are seem to come in and go out Room service is bad Staff not welcoming No restaurant ( food shops nearby) Rates are very high 3-4 rooms in a floor

Review 104:Wifi Breakfast (no varieties-mainly chinese) still good Location as i was going on a chinese tour Near to subway 4 blocks

Review 105:The staff are rude. You don't even receive a good morning when you enter in the hotel. The breakfast is really bad. They don't have microwave and a fridge in the rooms. The bed is no comfortable.

Review 106:It is close to the subway station.

Review 107:I had stayed for 3 days. Bt nvr they hav changed my sheets or made my room or supplied toiletories.or even cleaned the room or even asked for it.no toiletories given again.some people were coming in the lift to the top and then going back down.rather scary looking people.

Review 108:I like the place, got some fast food centres nearby.got good wifi, though it git disconected sometimes.lift , breakfast is available, have any 2-3 fruit, eggs, bread, and some chinese items.coffee and tea and juice also. The main street subway is 4 blocks away. Which is very good.only 1 hr travel to JFK and costs only 7.5. The staff is helpful. But a guy chinese slim guy was nt helpful or seems helpful. Got ice and water free.

Review 109:The morning breakfast was terrible. Most of the staff other than the front desk couldn't speak English. There were very little facilities. No refrigerators, ice machines or anything. Some of the rooms could use upgrating.

Review 110:I liked that the cleaning ladies were nice and helped out exactly the way you wanted. The room was decent , it had a homey feel to it ...and the hotel was close to everything. They let us store our luggage after we checked out.

Review 111:poor wifi

Review 112:Proximity to the city Stores are very close by Staff was really friendly Transportation is easily accessible only a short walk from the subway

Review 113:The breakfast was awful. I say a few strange people floating around, especially at night...no security.

Review 114:Most of the staff, especially the daytime staff, were helpful and friendly. It was somewhat clean. The Wi Fi was ok. The beds were comfortable. It is in a central location for transportation to the city.

Review 115:That I didn't stay longer.

Review 116:The room was very nice good view of citi field. We got to see fire works that they had right from our window. The desk clerk gave us that room. I don't remember her name but she was a very nice person.

Review 117:i made a request before i book my room ..i need breakfast at 6.30 ..then u send confirmation mail m request graded .. then i ask front desk for breakfast ..they said me .they can't give breakfast at 6.30 ..that lady was talking me like rude ...

Review 118:It was very clean in the room. Clean and very comfortable bad (for people with backpain problem ). We got help to get taxi for very good price. For that price we paid for one night it was perfect!

Review 119:there was no closed caption on the TV. I thought it was LAW for CC? no TV coverage for any sporting events. the staff could not figure out how to get WIFI on my computer. I had to spend a lot of time to figure it out myself because they gave up. why must WIFI be so complicated?

Review 120:I liked the restaurants, food and access to MTA. I liked the breakfast provided in the mornings.

Review 121:When we reached the hotel at 4pm the guy at the reception said we would only get it by 6 since the person staying before us had extended his stay. The checkin time in my booking said 2pm so we argued for some time after which he gave us the room. There was no parking available despite the hotel page saying that they have parking available.

Review 122:Clean room and bathroom. Good wi-fi Ample space in the room

Review 123:We stayed in this hotel 2 nights.this area is very bad.hotel is smelly.no proper cleaning.very poor and cheap breakfast.no room service.employees dont speak English.they allow young couple to stay for short time.like 2 hours.3 hours.never recommended.

Review 124:The staff was rude .. I had to change my room several times ... the up keep of the hotel is poor .. is smells old ... the rooms are really small ... Overall it wasnt a good experience.

Review 125:It was kind of clean ...

Review 134:The smell in the elevator is very bad

Review 135:Very Chinese breakfast, and the employees is really kind.

Review 136:Tap of bathroom was broken.
