Reviews for Le Manoir Hôtel
Review 1:In Dec there we only us 3 , no other guests , evening very quite , no bar staff after 10pm , hotel breakfast very expensive for very little
Review 2:Very good location
Review 3:Bar not always attended No mirror in bedroom or plug socket near bathroom Staff saying restaurant was busy when only 1 or 2 tables booked Charging 16euros for breakfast just for a coffee and croissant
Review 4:Bathroom was very tired with broken floor tiles and weak section of floor that dropped when you stood on it. Hot water took ages to come through.
Review 5:Great location with free parking and an excellent restaurant
Review 6:The Hotel had a lot of Golfers staying and there was a lot of noise through out the night and early hours of the morning . The hotel is in need of a facelift and more insulation with regards to the Noise Transmission
Review 7:Food in Restaurant was to a good standard and well presented , location was good
Review 8:The room was dirty, with stuffy air. Toilet with spots. We had to pay for things we didn't take from the bedroomfridge, She simply wouldn't believe us when we said we hadn't taken anything. Staff impersonal, not committed.
Review 9:The pool is nice and quiet, situated at the back of the hotel in a private garden.
Review 10:It was a lovely setting in a world class resort. The room was pleasant, though the publicity shots implied that the bed would be double. We found that they were twin beds and were told at reception we could push them together if we wanted the first night. This was fairly typical of the slightly take it or leave it attitude of an expensive hotel.
Review 11:Disappointed at being checked in to a room which hadn't been serviced, but this was very soon put right, and the room proved to be excellent. Comfortable with excellent bathroom. I forgot that French hotels do not usually provide tea and coffee making facilities.
Review 12:Food in restaurant was excellent, both at breakfast and especially in the evening
Review 13:Hotel is trading on its past and in need of a refurbishment WiFi did not work in our room Breakfast not good value at all Took 10 minutes for hot water to come through
Review 14:Restaurant good if somewhat pricey and limited choice
Review 15:Slightly disappointed in the standard of the "bungalow" type room which had a "tired" look.
Review 16:Location was good, staff efficient and helpful, no hesitation in returning. Liked proximity to golf courses which were in good order.
Review 17:Management and staff fantastic....excellent service. Everything was seamless...from check in with a smile despite it being only 10.30 in the morning through dinner and breakfast on departure none of which we had booked prior to arrival and to top it all 27 wonderful holes of golf....what dreams are made of!
Review 18:Just one minor problem, on our 1st night (Friday) we went out to dinner in the town and when we came back at 23.00 hrs we were told the bar was closed for drinks or coffee. This has never happened before.
Review 19:Staff were excellent as usual, reception were very helpful and it was a pleasure to be recognized & welcomed by Ludovic even though I was with my wife & friends who had not been to the hotel before (I come with a group of golfing friends every year). A nice touch.
Review 20:Nothing really except that a little modernisation of such things as bathrooms wouldn't go amiss
Review 21:Location (although need a car), character of the hotel, helpful staff, good food and a very nice room
Review 22:If you like manoirs in gold location and have some budget, you'll be happy to overnight and dinner there. Looks in the old style "manoir" and everything is appropriated for a short or long stay. kind personnel, good food, nice breakfast..
Review 23:- The swimming pool was cold ice - The water in the bathroom takes 10 min to warm - The Wifi access is not written in the room
Review 24:- The restaurant - The bar - The staff
Review 25:Poor welcome. No offer of help to room. Outside room clearly the internet booked poor option. Room musty seemed unused for some time.
Review 26:Dining room staff excellent but some of meal poorly cooked. E.g. The leeks with calamari were burnt.
Review 27:We had booked 2 rooms both the same price but miles apart in decor and size. Breakfast was €15 but if you looked at the tariff on back of bedroom door we paid the same but excluded breakfast. When asked at reception her answer was just no breakfast!!! 3 scoops of ice cream was €8. Pool had a cover over it so wasn't in use.
Review 28:Breakfast at 15 euros is very expensive for what is on offer. Breads, cereals, minimal ham and cheese, fruits a bit past its best and yogurts, nothing hot without an extra charge, the bread once finished is not replaced so only baguette available if you are arriving late, The rooms are very dated and one of our windows didnt open at all as it had been painted over.
Review 29:Location and setting is fabulous, very olde worldy but exptrenely comfortable
Review 30:I loved the restaurant. I stayed in a bungalow and found it very private and comfortable.
Review 31:The Natural style and the good good, very english bar and relaxing atmosfere
Review 32:Limited facilities for teenagers

Review 41:Lovely evening meal, comfy room and beautiful setting
Review 42:Have to pay extra for hot food for breakfast Restricted / poor wifi service
Review 43:Location, quality of rooms, comfort
Review 44:The breakfast egg bacon etc mmmm did not like
Review 45:The room was great with my own garden shame it was raining when I stayed
Review 46:Location.
Review 47:food choice only 1 expensive restaurant, some signs of wear and tear.
Review 48:location is good, hospitality good, bar area, golf course.
Review 49:Lovely quiet location. Slept with windows open and no sound except the odd owl! Very helpful people. Will stay again
Review 50:The old carpet on the stairs, and lack of lift.
Review 51:The Ambience
Review 52:The weather
Review 53:A nice bar
Review 54:The lack of wifi that worked
Review 55:Most things
Review 56:The room by the pool was fairly average - it didn't match the photos The hair dryer didn't work
Review 57:The swimming pool The lounge and bar area
Review 58:No fans available
Review 59:Location
Review 60:The bathroom badly needs updating. We only had Wifi for one device. The town is not walking distance from the hotel
Review 61:The room was very nicely decorated and the bar was well stocked!
Review 62:The garden room. They moved us into hotel without argument or increase in price.
Review 63:First class staff. All speak excellent English and the restaurant dealt with my wife's gluten problem very well, even to the extent of bringing her a fresh loaf every morning.
Review 64:Breakfast was poor and expensive No inclination to eat dinner here Breakfast (cooked) which was extra was uneatable (sloppy) No facilities for making a hot drink in room (if I had not anticipated this it would have been extremely expensive)
Review 65:Position of hotel Character of building Comfortable room
Review 66:The room we had on both visits had scaffolding and work in progress on the flat roof directly outside our bathroom/bedroom.
Review 67:Comfortable, good food and friendly staff.
Review 68:We were just there for the golf so excellent location and rooms were good standard and very clean. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on quality/price of meals John Edgington
Review 69:We were given an upgraded room for the same price, which was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. There was very comfortable bar and lounge facilities and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner. There was a wide choice of high quality breakfast dishes.
Review 70:Breakfast should be included in price. No airco.
Review 71:Good and clean hotel in a nice park, friendly staff, rooms are OK. Excellent for short stay. Parking (free) at hotel site.
Review 72:There was only an expensive dinner available.
Review 73:We liked our room in the bungalow with easy access to the pool, car park and hotel. Also having an area to sit out in the shade.
Review 74:lack of air con, no coffee/tea making equipment and no mosquito nets at the window
Review 75:Room was very good - recently reburbished and a good size with all necessary facilites (apart from air con and coffee/tea making equipment)
Review 76:Just a small thing but it would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Review 77:The welcome, car parking availability, spacious comfortable room, bed was so comfy. Large bathroom with shower and toiletries.
Review 78:Excellent hotel, although classed as 3 star, I would class it as a 4 star. Rooms spotlessly clean and larger than average. Staff excellent, efficient and friendly. Lovely quiet setting in the forest but easy access to the town, although you would need a car. Restaurant excellent, could not fault the menu. Definitely would return.
Review 79:We were in one of the cottages and the expelair fans in all of thecottages ran constantly during the day. I spoke to the receptionistabout this, but although she spoke English seemed unable to understandthe problem, and did nothing about it!
Review 80:Overall standard was very good.
Review 81:The staff on Reception were very helpful in that on finding one of mywife's crutches had broken, the lady on duty telephoned a pharmacy in LeTouquet to arrange for a new pair to be made available. Without bothuseable crutches my wife would have had considerable difficulty ingetting around. Their knowledge of 'English' was greatly appreciated, and the food was pretty good too. All in all an excellent hotel - highlyrecommended.J.Stringer.
Review 82:The first room we were given was not acceptable - although reputedly one of their better ('Privilege') rooms, it was next to the bar and opposite the Gents toilet. The next two were rejected on the grounds of smelling strongly of cigarette smoke - an absolute no-no for an asthmatic. Unfortunately the nationwide ban on smoking is not observed by all guests! Sadly the worst aspect of our stay was the behaviour of some of the other guests - especially the English. The hotel caters for a lot of golfers (as is clear from its advertising, of course), and some of them simply can't handle their liquor. We were repeatedly disturbed by other guests, both late and early. I had to knock on the door of the next room at 7 o'clock one morning, to complain about the raucous singing and obscene language that were clearly audible through the wall. The same morning we returned from breakfast to find the carpet in another room being shampooed after a guest had thrown up. It's not what you expect in a hotel costing 200 euros a night . . . We did complain to the hotel staff, but basically they shrugged and said it sometimes happens. So if you are looking for somewhere quiet, outside the town, as we were, look somewhere else. This one is frankly best left to the golfers.
Review 83:The staff were generally very pleasant and helpful - and all the 'front of house' staff spoke good English (not an essential for us, but nice to have). But when we had a complaint - see "what didn't you like" below - they couldn't do anything about it. The room we ended up in was very pleasant, but it was the fourth room we were offered - again, see "what didn't you like" below. The food was good - both breakfast and dinner - though not cheap.
Review 84:A little bit oldy worldy and old fashioned. Could modernise a little.
Review 85:We stayed in Le Manoir for one night on the way home from champagned country to UK. We had one of the bungalow rooms which are cheaper, but right by the hotel and perfectly comfortable at a better price. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the terrace at the front of the hotel was a lovely place to sit in the late afternoon sunshine. We didn't play golf as we were only stopping over but ideal location for a weekend golf break with two and half golf courses right on the doorstep. Perfect for a quiet location just outside Le Touquet, but close enough to enjoy the town if you want to.
Review 86:As a defined Junior my son as expected and as is the case in the ukbenefited from a lower green fee. As we were staying on the hotel wewere entitled to discounted green fees. One would expect a discount onthe adult rate for me and the Junior rate for my son. However, we wereboth charged the same amount. The hotel advised that you could onlyreceive one discount!
Review 87:The hotel is extremely ‘tired’ and is in much need of refurbishment. The pool wasn’t clean and the area around it was uneven and could be dangerous for small children. The owners have a good location and staff they need to spend money to upgrade many of the rooms and facilities.
Review 88:The staff were excellent and professional. On arrival we found the hotel had double-booked our room but handled the situation well.
Review 89:Stayed here many times, so convenient for a night if catching a ferry or shuttle after a long drive. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms likewise. Always clean except this time the bin had rubbish in it and there was sand on the floor and bed (seems someone used the room to change). We were offered a couple of G&T's on the house. Restaurant is a bit pricey but always very good. Would stay here again anytime.
Review 90:The beds are very old and matrass needs to be changed. The bedsheets hadstains. The room was smelly. In the middle of the night, there werepeople making noise in the corridor.
Review 91:The breakfast.
Review 92:the main problem is value for price. It is a decent hotel BUT at this price one would expect - heating in the bathroom (there's none) - ventilation in the bathroom (there's none) - a shower which does not leak - a hand towel (only 2 towels per guest) - nicer amenities (such as shampoo and not the all-in-one body product) - elevator (BIG bad surprise: there's none) - one key per guest (only one available per room) - a desk with minimum stationery (there's no desk, and no stationery) A coffee / tea maker would be nice and not overly luxurious especially since the expensive breakfast is not included in the already expensive price. Otherwise the hotel is far from the town (Le Touquet) and once again, at this price it should make up for being far by being more comfortable.
Review 93:the bar is beautiful.
Review 94:Impossible to have a hot bath. Because there was no hot water. Onlytepid water. We tried 4 times to have a hot bath - each time running thetap for 15 minutes ! But no hot water. Only tepid! When we complained about this to Reception we were told "Oh but you have to run the bath for at least 20 minutes to get hot water. Obviously you haven't read the notice in your bathroom". But there was is no such notice in our bathroom. And even if there was, you shouldn't have to wait for hot water in a 3 Star hotel". I demanded a refund and had to fight hard to get it. Reception staff were aloof and indifferent - almost to the point of rudeness.
Review 95:Clean room. Conmfortable bed.
Review 96:Hot water for a bath in the evening was a bit limited, but not amajor problem.
Review 97:Very friendly staff, nicely presented hotel, we had a good room and alovely big bathroom. The dinner in the evening was delicious. Nice tohave the front terrace to sit on in the sun in the afternoon.

Review 105:No kettle in the room so no cup of tea!
Review 106:Very pleasant place to stay.
Review 107:Prices high. Distance from centre of Le Touquet.
Review 108:Closeness to Golf course, restaurant.
Review 109:Cleaners talking very loudly before we got up for breakfast
Review 110:Relaxed quality restaurant
Review 111:Room 9 is excellent apart from the bathroom that could do with a little tlc. The reception staff are very good indeed.
Review 112:Very pleasant and comfortable hotel, old fashioned in a nice way
Review 113:Nothing - we liked everything
