Reviews for La Ripaille

Review 1:- needs to be totally renovated, it's in rough shape - tiny room with horrid smell coming from the bathroom, we did not shower there - same price as a beautiful B&B mas we stayed in the next day only a few KMs away that was in Arles

Review 2:- wifi worked well - adequate parking provided

Review 3:Clean, friendly, nice small pool. Planned to eat dinner in hotel. Had no great expectation. Completely wrong. Meal one of the best we had during touring holiday. Food excellent. Breakfast good.

Review 4:Rooms small but adequate. Family unit with two adjoining rooms - air conditioning ineffective in second room.

Review 5:Arrived late and staff allowed a quick swim - much appreicated after a long hot day. Very friendly family run hotel.

Review 6:I would expect availability of hot breakfast. It was missed.

Review 7:Place seems to be aways full with local regulars, who visit for getaways year after year. Peaceful setting coupled with amazing food lovingly prepared with much creation and finesse every night. Clean smartly appointed rooms with balconies or terraces overlooking the courtyard with pool and Provence's valley add to the special setting. Ideally located to explore Provence.

Review 8:The bedroom and bathroom were a bit small.

Review 9:Quiet, authentically French, small hotel, an easy drive to Arles, Pont Du Gard, the quarry and the Carmargue.

Review 10:No concerns at all

Review 11:The location is beautiful and with in minutes of all the local sites and shopping. The food on site is excellent though, because the place is small, you have to decide that you're going to be eating there or not by early that afternoon so they have supplies. The staff is extremely friendly and I cannot say enough good about them. Rooms are small [which is typical of the region and that price range] but extremely clean and have all the basic amenities. Wi-Fi was very quick and easily usable from the rooms. They did not charge extra for Wi-Fi in the room.

Review 12:Unappropriate staff atitude, poor food, small bathroom, low privacy, too much noise on the hallway, room to small for 3 people, too close to a main road, really really bad mattresses (old, ripped and uncomfortable). Poor dinner for too much money

Review 13:The landscape

Review 14:The TV is very small but it doesn't matter at all. The bed a little squeeky, no big problem.

Review 15:The staff is very friendly, father and son and the son speeks English. The room was very quiet, though the hotel is near a road. The pool and the garden are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent, taken outside.very close to Les Baux and Maussane. Good value for money.

Review 16:Pool

Review 17:L ASPECT FAMILLIAL

Review 18:Friendly staff and fantastic kitchen!

Review 19:Felt more like a hotel than staying in a Provencal homestay

Review 20:2 cots were provided even though the room was a little small. Friendly hosts. Air conditioning. Good location for visiting Les Baux.

Review 21:Room was ok - we knew it was going to be quite small and we are not that big.

Review 22:Very pleasant and helpful staff, nice terrace on which to relax after a day walking or sightseeing, very nice food with a reasonable choice, nice size pool.

Review 23:The room was quite spartan and a little cramped. The shower enclosure was small and the doors diddicult to close.

Review 24:The location access was easy and secluded and quiet. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.

Review 25:none.

Review 26:We enjoyed the owner and his son who made our visit enjoyable and comfortable. We enjoyed the evening meals immensely; they were well prepared, innovative and top notch. The breakfast was comprehensive and fresh. We used the hotel as a central point for visiting the region and its location proved well suited to this purpose. Parking was secure and included. An overall excellent stay.

Review 27:The double bedroom nearest main hotel building has its view obscured by a large tree and we moved from this room. TV is rather small. A kettle for tea in the room would be good.

Review 28:Double room in centre of hotel has a good view. The bed was very comfortable, the room cleaned daily and the staff friendly and helpful.

Review 29:The fact that kettle (hospitality tray was not provided). This would be a such a blessing as the hotel is not manned in the afternoon to provide hot drinks on returning from trips.

Review 30:Hotel ambience - a typical Provence look and feel - very pretty. The food was excellent. The owners were delightful. It was spotlessly clean. Would definitely go back.

Review 31:The family room we stayed in was rather small - but then our children are getting rather large! And staying in a family room makes it very good value.

Review 32:The family who run La Ripaille are utterly charming, and this made our stay very pleasant. They create a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. For the rest, the pool and terrace are lovely.

Review 33:This was a super little hotel with a proper 3 bed room, the third bedwas decent, not a sofa bed or camp bed. The food was very good and theatmosphere laid back and pleasant. It is also well located for visitingplaces in the area. The staff were all pleasant, helpful and tolerant ofour bad of french. The air conditioning was a bonus.

Review 34:No air jug in the room to boil our water to make milk for our youngdaughter. But they nicely provided us a thermal flask with hot water init upon our request.Breakfast is average with the usual corn flakes, some fruits, bread and croissants. They gave us ham but it was cold. Wish they have more hot food.

Review 35:Friendly staff. Only 1 guy can speak English. The other older man and alady can't speak English but they are all friendly.Room is not big but very clean and cosy. Eating outdoor in the courtyard is very nice. Luckily we didn't encounter any flies problem to spoil the ambience. My 3+ yo gal still remembers us eating under the big tree. We had dinner there for 2 nights. Food for first night was French cuisine and it was really good. Food for 2nd night was Spanish cuisine 'cos the theme was Spanish night. They even engaged 2 Spanish singers to sing and play guitar for us. Wonderful experience!

Review 36:The room was much smaller than we thought, and the shower room got a bit stuffy after showering. The wine was quite expensive so we stuck with the pastis!

Review 37:We had both privacy and attentive service, the place had a wonderful atmosphere in the evening with fairy lights in the outdoor dining area. Beautiful food.

Review 38:Distance from town
