Reviews for Hotel Villa Paulita

Review 1:They seem to be money grabbers - charge a lot for parking when there is plenty place on the street. Charged us for a dinner that we left in the middle because the food and service were terrible.

Review 2:Comfortable room, small swimming pool, quiet area.

Review 3:The room was very small. There are stairs that can not be avoided so it's difficult with a stroller but the staff helped.

Review 4:The location is very good. The restaurant is excellent and staff very friendly.

Review 5:The wifi didn't really work well, but they had computers available so it didn't really matter!

Review 6:The staff were extremely helpful, we had a problem with our rental car and they called the car company for us and helped us find where the nearest car service place was. The room was something out of a fairytale and the views were so beautiful, the location overlooked a lake with swans swimming about, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Highly highly recommend this villa, you will be missing out on the highlight of Puigcerda if you don't stay here. Thank you all for making the first night of our honeymoon extra special!

Review 7:Right by the small lake and next to town center, the rooms are luxrious and the staff friendly. Don't miss their great underground spa with a small swimming pool and jacuzy (no extra charge)

Review 8:Don't arrive in the dark as the sign is invisible, SatNav doesn't recognise the address on website and it's a one way puzzle back around the town. No BBC or US news network coverage. No coffee in room. Insufficient storage for belongings etc. Wifi was pretty slow too.

Review 9:Great location.. Good range of breakfast choices with mountain views over a small frozen lake (nice to walk it off), and very Spacious underground parking for Spain! Modern appointed room very comfortable and warm.

Review 10:We chose the hotel based on the fact that it advertises with a gourmet restaurant. The restaurant was closed for dinner and fully booked for lunch. Bathroom was moldy and parts of the walls and doors were damaged, which you don't expect in a 5 star hotel.

Review 11:The hotel has nicely decorated rooms overlooking a beautiful garden. The receptionist gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant as the hotel restaurant was closed.

Review 12:No English programs on the TV. No Cnn. No BBC. Just one would have been acceptable. Not so keen on the vanities in the bathroom - however one has to bear in mind this was the old building and retrofitted.

Review 13:The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room although small, was in the old building and charming, and perfectly adequate for our needs. Great lunch overlooking the lake. Nice breakfast buffet.

Review 14:The wifi signal was not working in hour room.

Review 15:The hotel was really beautiful, staff very friendly, the spa is great. The location is excellent, by the lake and very close to the center. Breakfast is awesome, in a dinning room with views to the lake.

Review 16:Location and darkness of rooms in annex. We expected more from a five-star hotel.

Review 17:Excellent staff, very attentive. Location next to the lake very impressive. Food in restaurant excellent

Review 18:The restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening, probably due to the low season for the area. It would be helpful if they mention this on the fine print.

Review 19:The spa area was great, as we stayed on a Sunday we were almost alone. The room was very pretty and cozy with some nice details. It is a stylish yet charming hotel. Different to what you would expect from a 5* chain hotel. The restaurant had beautiful views to the lake, lovely for breakfast. The staff were helpful.

Review 20:Temperatura de la habitación demasiado elevada, incluso desconectando el termostato

Review 21:Noisy air conditionner.

Review 22:The relaxing and quiet atmosphere of the hotel. Rooms are the right size and bathrooms very functionnal.

Review 23:Very poor internet connection

Review 24:Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast

Review 25:The restaurant was closed. You can hear the neighbours

Review 26:The premises are very nice. Excellent breakfast.

Review 27:Nicely located -- very nice breakfast buffet

Review 28:The hotel was really lovely and its staff treated us so well. We felt like we were in home. We would love to come back soon.

Review 29:The most majestic lakeside view from the room, very friendly staff, great breakfast, lovely spa facilities and overall a wonderful, if short, stay.

Review 30:The comfort, location and cleanliness is excellent.

Review 31:The restaurant was very expensive and the food very average.

Review 32:Comfortable beds with lovely white linen.

Review 33:ants in bath the room Break fast with industrial pastry

Review 34:View

Review 35:Everything. Stunning hotel

Review 36:Trip into town is a bit down market.

Review 37:Secure car park for our older cars and good leisure centre.

Review 38:Beautiful location beside the lake

Review 39:Car Park lighting system. Quality of cooked breakfast was cold and stale. Route from room to spa.

Review 40:Overall ambience

Review 41:Room was excellent, Location was absolutely beautiful. Check in / check out staff were most professional.

Review 42:Very helpfull staff

Review 43:lots of ants in room at night. no windows in room only door which you couldn't leave open as it was on to the path way passing apartment.

Review 44:very comfortable. beautiful hotel . bed fabulous. .

Review 45:parking price too excessive. We parked on the street. Breakfast quality, far away from a 5 stars. Breakfast hours from 8 to 10 is too short for a Sunday. Bar attendant wasn't there most of the time. Restaurant prices were excessive as well, we went out for dinner to excellent restaurants at walking distance. We went with a promotional deal, so relation price / service was OK, but don't expect a 5 stars international standard.

Review 46:Location is perfect beside the lake in the city center.

Review 47:A bit pricey. May explain why it was not choked with guests at this time of year (winter). No mini-bar. But this would have been expensive anyway! No pond views at breakfast (as advertised)-instead housed in a cellar.

Review 48:1. Quiet and convenient location to chill out; 2. Restaurant and food quality, and service, but expensive 3. Secure parking, but expensive; 4. Adjacent bird park and lake quite idyllic.

Review 49:The restaurant was not open and there wasn't even a room service to ask for a sandwich as a light dinner. The staff didn't offer any alternatives either. Unbelivable for a 5 Star Hotel.

Review 50:Very well located in downtown Puigcerdà and next to the lake, nice renovated villa.

Review 51:That one has to pass through the street to go to the reception, spa or restaurant. The hotel parking is expensive. Expensive restaurant, even for a 5 star hotel, but many restaurants around. We made use of a special offer, otherwise the hotel is generally too expensive, and, in our opinion, the real price does not justify the services.

Review 52:We were comfortable in the annex of the villa as there are two types of rooms, in the villa itself and in the new annex. The bed was comfortable, really liked the bathroom, with the separate shower room, bath tub and a separate toilet. A touch of luxury indeed. Nice complementary products, shower gel etc. Even tooth brush and paste and a shaving razor. Bathrobe and slippers too. The place is really nice, close to the centre, beautiful pond views from the restaurant. Parking possible in the streets nearby, less than 3 min walk from the hotel, even though it was high season, skiing etc. Puigcerda is really nice to visit for a couple of days, especially by night the centre is charming and very lively. The best skiing resort nearby is Font Romeu. There was only little artificial snow in La Molina and Masella and too many people. In Font Romeu there was a lot of snow, fewer people and a great sledging track.

Review 53:We were disappointed that this lovely 5 star hotel didn't stock its bar properly - no red wine and no cava the first night! The restaurant for dinner (half board) was disappointing too, poor quality, no vegetables.

Review 54:We liked it's beautiful location on the lake, the fact that it was a small 'boutique' hotel, the friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, our fabulous lakefront room as well as the delightful town and beautiful area.

Review 55:The staff were absolutely delightful, food and service lovely, rooms spotless, bath and shower fabulous, plenty of room, comfortable bed and the best pillows I have ever had in an hotel! Location is perfect, a short walk to main square, shopping, restaurants etc but the hotel is quiet and peaceful. We absolutely loved this place and glad our first choice was full! Looking forward to return for winter break

Review 56:We were two of four people eating in a vast dining room! Although staff were very solicitous, it was an eerie experinece with hardly anybody in the hotel.

Review 57:Nice location - clean and well presented bedrooms and the the hotel lounges were smartly decorated and enjoyable to sit in. Excellent underground car parking but why do hotels all charge for parking when there is no other way to arrive other than by car?

Review 58:It was expensive and needs to provide cheaper parking!Euros 22 pernight!! The breakfast could also have been included. My hot water didnot work in the shower for 1 night and although it was fixed, themanagement did not give any discounted consideration in cost terms.

Review 59:Location and the Hotel style

Review 60:Dreadful restaurant poor quality food served rather inexpertly and set off to a background of piped music more suited to a funeral parlour. They have a 5 star logo outside but in our view really only 3 star

Review 61:Comfortable room and bed reception staff friendly. Secure underground parking. Short walk to local town square to sit out in one of the several bars .

Review 62:Wasnt happy that they took money for the parking, though this wasincluded and the parking was empty anyway. Also the house keeping were making too much noise when cleaning the rooms next by.

Review 63:Very nice location and 500 meters away from France made it easy for usto visit the sking in France and also Andorra in another day!

Review 64:Maintenance should be improved for the level of the hotel

Review 65:Location is excellent, near Puigcerda lake and close to several skistations. Building, comfort and design, spa and food are very good.

Review 66:Air-conditioning in bedroom not working. Expensive secure parking

Review 67:Beautiful setting. Lovely building

Review 68:bathtub had mold children could not use the pool after 5 pm!!! (when we got back after skiing)

Review 69:the panorama the staff the location

Review 70:Beautiful hotel, great location. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet had sth fir everyone. with a beautiful view on the lake.

Review 71:The pool spa steam room Very comfortable rooms Good restaurant
