Family-run for over 200 years, this traditional hotel is located in the heart of the Salzkammergut. It is close to Lake Hallstatt and the spa town of Bad Goisern.
Landhotel Agathawirt consists of a modern wing where the rooms are located, and a historic part from the early 16th century. This part is a heritage-listed cultural monument and features restored frescoes, Renaissance windows, marble doorways, and other historic pieces.
Agathawirt’s rooms offer views of the mountains or the orchard.

Review 1：Believe everything you read about this hotel in the reviews. It was one of our favorite stops on our recent trip to Austria's Tirol. The location is beautiful and the owners could not be more gracious and helpful. We were sorry we could spend only one night here. In addition to the lovely well appointed bedroom and bath, there is also a full service restaurant in the evening. We enjoyed one of the best meals of a 21 day 3 country trip here. The proprietors truly have a firm grip on hospitality. Breakfast offerings were generous and more than ample for a day of exploration. The property is full of apple trees and the building and grounds are beautiful. This is an ideal choice if you are visiting the Hallstatt area. You cannot go wrong here. Beds are very comfortable too.

Review 2：I don't have a car and a bicycle. I travel on foot. There are few buses. The hotel is located around farms. The hotel has few fun stuffs for travellers except a well organized pool. No shops except one gas station (cross the road, 1 min on foot) where you can buy small stuffs. It is the best way to get to the center of Hallstatt (go to near station on foot --> take a train --> get off hallstatt rail station (very small) --> take a shuttle ship (5 euros for a round trip) --> enjoy everything in Hallstatt

Review 32：I had one meal at lunchtime, the waiter was very unfriendly, almost hostile and my meal was not well cooked, almost raw! I complained to the waiter who just looked at me, did absolutely nothing and said nothing. No apology, no offer to send it back, replace it, just nothing. Very very bad service.
