Reviews for Red Fox

Review 1:The hotel is very central for the shops, bars and restaurants. Great value for money - the superior room was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Nice friendly staff, and pleasant breakfast room.

Review 2:Supposed to have been a superior room but had to get into the bath to turn the taps on behind the shower screen. Also it was very noisy, sounded like I was next to a central heating water tank or air conditioning unit or something similar. It kept me awake all night. I would not stay there again for this reason.

Review 3:The location was good. A late vacate time in the morning. Excellent breakfast.

Review 4:Trying to park outside the hotel for loading or unloading can be a challenge!

Review 5:Flexible and helpful staff, co For table room with spacious and well- equipped bathroom, brilliant location for access to shops and restaurants

Review 6:We had a family room which was more spacious than many we have stayed in. This had 4 x twin beds, one of which was in a separate room, which worked really well for us. The location is really central but we didn't suffer from any noise issues.

Review 7:Error booking -meant to book 1double and 1 twin but ended up with 2 doubles. Lack of equivalent twins mean that we had to pay more for "comfort rooms" in a annex over the road. Toilet was dirty with leaking shower door in one room and in the other the shower door didn't close. No kettle in rooms which meant that in order to get a hot drink we needed to go out of the building. There is secure parking but this is 2 roads away. There are drop off bays outside which allow 1 hour free parking. Only stayed 1 night wouldn't want to stay longer.

Review 8:Good location in the centre of town

Review 9:Room overlooking the street and couldn't get air con working so had to open the window and it was very noisy and rowdy late evening. Then again it was Friday night in a busy, lively town so can't really complain.

Review 10:Excellent location. Great choice of restaurants and bars.

Review 11:The room (404) was very poor. I hit my head on the half ceiling trying to get in and out of bed. We have stayed at Ibis hotels and found them far better value for money. When I booked the two nights I expected that we could eat in the hotel. No one advised me that we could not. (other than the self serve breakfast).

Review 12:The staff were helpful. The location was good.

Review 13:The bed was on the small side so the husband & I were restless all night. The TV didn't work but to be fair the weather was bad so interfered I think.

Review 14:Large ground floor apartment made it much easier for us with the dog & staff were very friendly

Review 15:was not told that there was parking available and we managed to park outside but got the car door kicked!!!!

Review 16:the hotel is right in the middle of the town so great to wander around the shops.

Review 17:Situated in the heart of the town. Whilst this has many benefits, there are also a number of drawbacks. The main one being the noise late at night from drunken revellers in the street.

Review 18:Good Location. Secure, but expensive parking.

Review 19:Noise from street all Saturday night and much of last 2 nights - near to night clubs Parking - lack of and very difficult to find on-street spaces

Review 20:loication excellent for town & beach

Review 21:Family room was very tired looking curtain hanging off the rail, carpet stained all over as on 1st floor was also extremely noisy which is not ideal when you have young kids. All single beds & one was in a separate bit which my 2 kids were to scared to sleep there.

Review 22:The breakfast was very poor. It was self service and the boiled egg machine wasn't working. It was not good value for money. It should either be improved or stopped.

Review 23:The location, the room and bathroom facilities, and also the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. They made it easy to check in and out and we're always polite and helpful at all hours of the day or night.

Review 24:would like to see tea/coffee facilities in room and perhaps a small fridge for cold drinks.

Review 25:Location and friendly staff. This is our 3rd visit and would return again. Would recommend booking a parking space as the town gets very busy. Breakfast is ok but would like to see a bit more vareity. Would also like to see tea/coffee making facilities in room

Review 26:The hotel was in a very noisy area of the town and had little or no sound proofing. We were all woken up during the night by noise from outside.

Review 27:The staff were very friendly and the room was an excellent size for our family

Review 28:The bed was too hard and we both had a poor night's sleep. There was no bar or drinks available even before 11pm.

Review 29:It provided a welcome refuge from the rain, easy access to wifi and very central to bars and restaurants

Review 30:Location was excellent. The staff on reception were extremely kind, caring and helpful. They always smiled and were happy to help. I would revisit this hotel again for sure. Congratulations on a well run facility.

Review 31:The wifi was sometimes patchy but got fixed fairly fast. The corridors smelled of cigarette smoke. The breakfast supplement was 10 Euros per head. That was a bit pricey and wasn't mentioned up front.

Review 32:The location was perfect for walking easily around Le Touquet. The breakfast choices were good, the food fresh and plentiful. The Staff were very accommodating and tried to help with all my requests.

Review 33:4th floor rooms have sloping ceilings which have to be avoided but fine for a one night stay.

Review 34:Quality of the decor, location fantastic, private parking

Review 35:Our room was very small with a very small bathroom. Both looking a bit tired

Review 36:We've stayed here before, it's value for money but fairly basic. great air conditioning ! We parked our car around the corner in the Hotels underground secure car park excellent

Review 37:Room at front of hotel with sharply sloping walls right above the bed. Had to be very careful not to knock yourself out!! However, we were staying there on our return trip and the receptionist changed our pre-booked room for one at the back of the hotel which was more roomy....great!

Review 38:Centre of town location is brilliant. Free (limited stay) parking available right outside and they have dedicated car parking which is chargeable.

Review 39:The hotel is in a great location and the room we were allocated was comfortable and peaceful. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will return for another stay.

Review 40:We arrived in the breakfast room at 9.45 a.m. to find there was only one egg left. I asked the manager and a member of staff if we could lhave 2 each as they were only small, one shrugged her shoulders and the other said we have no more!! We went to a nearby restaurant for breakfast!! Very disappointing.

Review 41:The location

Review 42:Wifi connection was ok in the lobby but not in the rooms

Review 43:The hotel is situated in the middle of bars, restaurants and the local market. Also it's a short walk to the sea front, a beautiful area that offers something for everyone

Review 44:Nothing to report

Review 45:We liked the way we were welcomed back, even though it was 8 months since we'd last been there. We liked the general friendliness of the staff, and the roominess and comfort we were given.

Review 46:The breakfast was adequate but the room was too crowded, noisy & uncomfortable. Maybe better when the hotel is not so busy.

Review 47:The location, secure parking & helpful courteous staff.

Review 48:No tea or coffee maker

Review 49:In the centre of the town, just what we wanted for an overnight as we arrived at 7.30pm. Had a family room for 4 which was spacious and clean, friendly and helpful staff

Review 50:One socket by bed was broken, looked dangerous.

Review 51:Friendly staff, liked that breakfast incl boiled egg and could make a cup of tea in the evening. Good location in heart of Le Touquet

Review 52:It's a bit overpriced as there is nothing amazing

Review 53:The location is great but it's very noisy in the night, it's in the middle of the center where all the bars are, so better bring your ear plugs or get drunk yourself !

Review 54:We had difficulties parking in the area. We arrived at 9pm at night and had to drive around the streets for a while looking for parking. We then had to get up early to go and put a parking ticket on the car

Review 55:The hotel was a great location and good value for money. The only downside is a result of such a good location, it is difficult to park in the area.

Review 56:The young man on reception was rather rude to one of our party. Wether he was trying to be funny he told one of our party when asked where the hot water was the guy rubbed his eyes then made the gesture with his hands to his eyes like binoculars and said you must look Bathroom really small could not was my hair whilst in shower as this area was really small and I am only med build

Review 57:Good location in the middle of the high street

Review 58:Shower cubicles are really small. Difficult to get in and out of if your on the large side. Our room didn't seem part of the main building and had creeking floors and thin walls. French couple next door had young child and you could hear him or her running up and down and knocking the walls.

Review 59:Right in the Centre of Le Touquet, everything within walking distance. Clean & Tidy rooms, helpfull, freindly staff. Would go back.

Review 60:The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

Review 61:The friendly and very helpful staff. The breakfast food was wide ranging and adequate for any appetite.

Review 62:Young baby crying for about 2 hours in the room above us from 2-4am the only down side

Review 63:Great location, very nice hotel-we eat out so unable to comment on restaurant/breakfast. Must stay again!!

Review 64:Not sure about the wifi, as I didn't use it. Small rooms, but there are larger available, and if I went again, for more than one or two nights, I would opt for a larger room. Downside to being so central, is the night time noise, but didn't happen every night

Review 65:Central location with lovely helpful staff, and clean rooms. Shops and bars all around.

Review 66:Noise from people spilling out of night clubs at 4.00 in the morning. Street cleaners noisily cleaning streets at 6.00 in the morning ( flashing lights from vehicle lighting up the bedroom ceiling for at least an hour). Deliveries made either at the hotel or nearby shops/cafes/restaurants at 6.30 in the morning Total lack of sleep

Review 67:Location Comfortable Bed

Review 68:The whole town was decorated beautifully, but there were no decorations for christmas at all within the hotel. We would have liked tea making facilities in our room, so that we could have made a hot drink, as the weather was quite cold. It was very noisy at night because the hotel is in the bar and restaurant area.

Review 69:The location was great, right in the middle of town. Close to the market on Saturdays. The Winter Wonderland was really stunning, it was like a fairy tale.

Review 70:Just a bit faceless and characterless for our taste. No kettle. I suppose at least it had WiFi but it was so slow I gave up on it.

Review 71:Great location for the restaurants and bars. Nice clean room with a good bathroom.Comfortable beds.

Review 72:- supposedly non-smoking room that smelled of smoke - dated/slightly tatty decor - noise from the street/other guests

Review 73:* windows that open for fresh air * central locations means you can walk everywhere * being able to book a parking spot

Review 74:no tea making facilities in the room noisy partygoers in the street had to keep windows shut . no extra pillows this time.

Review 75:location and efficiency at the desk

Review 76:Noise from the street until 5 am , stayed here before on a Sunday night and all ok , but Saturday night like the Wild West never again , no fault of the hotel just its location 10 metres from a bar

Review 77:Wifi was erratic and we had trouble maintaining the connection. Central location meant some noise but we were expecting that.

Review 78:Great location on the corner of the main street. Efficient and well run. Out of season it is possible to park on rue de Metz for no charge. Otherwise there is a meter and long stay on the seafront.

Review 79:Threadbare carpets, curtains falling from pole, blocked basin, English TV channels did not work most of the time, unstable and very slow WIFI.

Review 80:Convenience to town centre, shops and restaurants, nice staff and inexpensive.

Review 81:Room 106 looked rather tired. Curtain not attached at top, too high to reach!! Carpet needed cleaning.

Review 82:Location of hotel. Good selection/value breakfast. Staff friendly & helpful. Booked parking very useful. Having an air-conditioned room.

Review 83:We were travelling with our 7 month old puppy, were offered an upgrade online which we accepted, and were given a garden room, with a small courtyard, across from the main hotel - absolutely fantastic. The staff are absolutely fantastic, especially the head receptionist - a man - who has been there for 20 years and who we immediately recognised. He is very welcoming and makes you feel like a VIP

Review 84:Condition of the shower cubicle. The door did not close, hence the floor became wet. Also there appeared to be mould growing in the less accessible areas of the shower.

Review 85:Location, breakfast

Review 86:the bar opposite had a noisy party in on the friday night and the a/c was broken so we needed the window open, A/c repaired for next night

Review 87:Staff were ever so helpful and attentive especially as my wife was partially sighted. The hotel was right in the middle of the town so it was easy to walk to everything. It was not noisy apart from the fri night party, so would definitely go back.

Review 88:Rooms basic, very clean similar to a travel lodge, did the job very wellif you know what to expect. Front bedroom noisy from the street

Review 89:Reception was always covered by very friendly/helpful happy staff24/7 Location amazing, couldn't beat it Private car 2 mins away, cost Euro 12 per day but totally worth it, you can drop your case atreception before parking Back bedrooms very quiet, recommend I woulddefinitely use this hotel again, no question

Review 90:The rooms were unbearably small as was the bathroom.also they allow dogs, this may be good for some people but the smell and barking was not to my taste.

Review 91:I liked the location it was really central

Review 92:too noisey but hey it was the big street party!

Review 93:great location for the centre of town & disco nite & sunday brocante & saturday market whats not to like?

Review 94:It would be nice if there was a small bar, but there again, there are so many places immediately outside it is not a real problem.

Review 95:The location is the Red Fox's strongest point, situated perfectly in the centre of the town, it is only a few paces from many eating and drinking places and the wide range of shops catering for the everyday needs to high quality clothes and gifts. The staff are very friendly and rooms are bright and clean.

Review 96:As I said, the room was small as was the bathroom. I am 5ft 10in and my wife less, so it didn't affect us, but someone taller/bigger might find the shower and the room small. It was probably noisy overlooking the street but that didn't affect me except for some late revellers who woke me briefly. Otherwise, a view of the rooftops which was fine

Review 97:This was not a faded three star but a good, well-staffed, well-run, well-appointed two star. The room was small as was the bathroom but that was fine. Breakfast was busy. Location was centre of town - woken by late night revellers but little traffic. All in all, what it says on the tin. And to prove it, it was busy, lots of families in August.

Review 98:The large windows completely open so we kept them shut incase the kids decided to nose dive!

Review 99:large room that was great for the 4 of us with a loo separate from the bathroom - always handy with a family sharing!

Review 100:Decor a little bit tired in one if the 2 rooms we had

Review 101:Great location in walking distance of shops, restaurants, beach and water park. Free wifi and secure parking. Have stayed here many times and will stay again.

Review 102:Shower tiny but ok. 13 Euros per night to park motorcycle. Same price as a car. Far too expensive. Garage card parking system hit and miss

Review 103:location excellent, staff friendly

Review 104:Bit noisey at night. Air conditioning didn't work first night but they sorted it and then fine

Review 105:Location close to town centre, restaurants and beach.

Review 106:Would have liked tea/coffee facility in room. Parking was a bit of a problem and you had to pay during the day, but it was a weekend in high season.

Review 107:great position in town, we were in the annex across the road and was very quiet and private. nice quiet aircon and modern bathroom. breakfast good also.

Review 108:Can be very noisy in the early hours of the morning with late night revellers walking through the town

Review 109:Red Fox is a great hotel right in the centre of Le Touquet. Excellent choice of restaurants and bars

Review 110:Very noisy on a hot summer Saturday night until 2.30am

Review 111:Excellent location, right amongst all of the facilities and with a short walk to the beachfront.

Review 112:Login in WIFI not working-> no internet connection possible, small room, no eggs or ham at breakfast

Review 113:Excellent location, inside city and close to beach, parking garage

Review 114:Room was small but we didn't need much space as we were not there much.

Review 115:Location was excellent. Bed was comfortable.

Review 116:No dedicated parking

Review 117:Convience

Review 118:Great location for our short stay in Le Touquet. The rooms were clean and for the money good value.

Review 119:Nothing.

Review 120:Access to resturants, bars and shops. Underground parking.

Review 121:Right in the centre of town, very friendly staff and nice and clean

Review 122:Very central for having a good evening out in le touquet

Review 123:Convenient location for shops and restaurants.

Review 124:Had to park some way off and then had to get there by 9am to buy a parking ticket on Saturday morning

Review 125:very central to the shopping and restaurants

Review 126:This Hotel is right in the middle of the main shops, restaurants and bars with easy street parking. Only a five minute walk to the beach.

Review 127:Great location to enjoy a week end in Le Touquet

Review 128:The hotel is central and one advantage is that it has private garaging. Convenient to restaurants nearby and close to the beach.

Review 129:parking a little difficult although not the hotels fault!

Review 130:location excllent

Review 131:Location,and garage, should have upgraded ,will next time ?

Review 132:No tea coffee facilities in room

Review 133:Cleanliness and location
